So these new light humans appear to be half elves and have elven ears. They are calling the light crystal that they see as the sun beledar which sounds very similar to belore and if you may have heard anu'belore da'lana you might know it means the sun guides us, belore means sun in the elven language. Beledar sounds like a naaru ship name mixed with belore.
They are riding lynxes that they might have brought from Quel'Thalas and as you may know an elven reunion is happening in Midnight. Could these be a half-elven kingdom we never knew existed that was exiled because they mixed with the elves. Seeing that they have no affiliation with the Alliance whatsoever, could they eventually join the Horde and even become playable. I know it sounds crazy but if I told you stone dwarves would be playable for the Horde half a year back you would think that is crazy. Who are these half-elves?

My Guess being they saw some kind of holy vision and they might had left the Eastern Kingdoms to battle the darkness in Earthen Kingdom.
Since they are only half elves, we should trust them only a little

I'm going to be stoked if the new quilboar/elf/troll race becomes available to alliance, not having stereotypical "monster races" as alliance is a bummer, and I never really liked horde because of the lack of "pretty races"

I feel like it's a waste of resurces to add race like that - especially when they look like something taken out of Star Trek episode. I really wonder if players crave for stuff like that. This looks too normal for Warcraft. Original races were always over the top reimaginations of standard fantasy races. If they want to add a new race, add Nagas , Nerubians or let me be an Ent with armor :d

The data mining only shows new ear options for humans.
That means that most likely this is nothing more than a cosmetic you can unlock like Night Warrior eyes or Dark Ranger options for existing races.
We even have a female MOGU in game but 0 Fem ogres
They Should add Mok'Nathal as a playable race - more Rexxars runing in horde.
To be fair, in the Sunwell trilogy Lor’themar acted pretty racist towards Kalec while he assumed that he was just a half-elf rather than a dragon. So, discrimination isn’t just a human thing. Not to mention that the only currently known half-elves are the children of two Windrunner sisters who’re part of the Alliance. They’ve also datamined round ears options for blood and void elves, so half-elves will likely just be a customization option for humans and thalassian elves rather than an allied race.
Archmage Alodi was a half-elf as well.I don't know when it was made canon that he was the first Guardian or Tirisfal, but it was at least in the Frost mage artifact quest.

Alot of high Elf animosity comes from how humans treated elves during the 2nd to 3rd war.
I agree it will simply be a customization option you unlock like Night Warriors and Dark Rangers.

i was originally upset that Horde was taking Alliance identity (something we really didnt need considering we are only 35% of the playerbase, thank you Horde Blood Elves) but i feel bad for true Horde fans seeing their faction identity become diluted into being just "The Red Faction".
The Alliance stands with you, Garrosh should have stayed warchief and given The Alliance an excuse to lose some grip on morality, enabling a hardcore constant collision of warcraft and warcrime.

And to alliance to loose identity it is necessary to loose at least 3 leaders and get some kings and capitals to be invaded and killed at least for 2 expansions.
Alliance players got protagonists, horde races, heros journey trips for 3 expansions against horde leaders but for some reason theyre crying lol

Nothing against this idea but there are a lot of half being that we could have also explored and played like the Mocknatnol (Rexxar’s people) and the half orc and half Draenei like the guy we quest with in BC Nagrand.

The humans are a bit racist towards elves, but they still choose to live there. Quel'thalas on the other hand is an elvish ethnostate.

As a playable race, you are forgetting one possibility. Another neutral race available to both horde and alliance. We have seen two so far, why not a third? Plus, it seems that every time there is an available elf race for one side, there's one for the other. For example, look at the two from Legion.

The factions should absolutely be dissolved. There used to be an aesthetic difference between the horde and alliance, but now there isn’t and it’s just a nuisance honestly.
They should let the politics of azeroth evolve in a realistic manner and have the different races regain some sovereignty in determining their alliances, while also having some political factions which are not race-based (like order halls for professions or cenarion circle/earthen ring based around cosmological forces)
It will take far longer for the elves to accept the Arathi than the humans. They do not like the pollution of ancient Highborne blood.
Those elves are fat, and were exiled from Quel'thalas due to not maintaining the proper elven height/weight proportions.
So just humans with short elf ears.

With half elf incoming(they where there in Theramore in the past but not visually) will we ever see half-draenei we seen those in Garona the halforcen and Lantresor of the blade but both pretty much had ordinary orc model beside grey color to Lantresor in BC.
But would love too seen more orc/draenei customization or Mok'nathal ogre/orcs.

They are called "Arathi. So my guess is it's a mix of human and high elf exiles who journeyed together to find this crystal thing and ended up intermarrying quite a bit. Creating a unique, half elven civilization underground.
Impressive, given that in the old RPG lore the Half-Elves always wanted a Kingdom for themselves and even kissed the otherwise uncaring Alliance's boots.

The Humans were not ant-elves. Garithos blamed the death of his family on the elves. So I doubt the half-elves were banished for such a reason.

Dwarfs, High Elfs and now half humans.... Just remove the Horde all together at this point its becomes more and more basicaly the red Alliance nothing feels like the Horde anymore in 2024.
I'd love it. Even if it just winds up being a customisation option - I know what char I'd make instantly. I can't wait to meet the Arathi of Hallowfall!!!

Personally I don’t think they’ll end up an allied race and instead end up a customization choice for elven/human races, which would make the most sense.

Highly doubt it. I think the Alterac Humans would do nicely.

in my opinion, if BlizzardEntertainment was smart, they would do a "mysterious building" run by (Pick pirate/bandit faction) where they traffic female elves, and this "mysterious building" is never actually accessible by any player. Your character "wakes up" in a cave below this building surrounded by bones. Bones of varying sizes. There are a few other NPC's, similar to Pandaria you go from the one to the other where the one meets a few humans of the alliance and the other meets a few elves of the horde (blood elves and high elves) and upon taking down a bandit/pirate ship that was trafficking more elven women, your character decides they're going to just be neutral to both the horde and the alliance. Astute adventurers who leave no rock unturned in the ship will find that the entire operation is headed by an apprentice of (whatshisname of the elite island with his name on everything, threshers, naga, and robots gallore).
i'd be happy if they took my idea here and made use of it, hopefully i'll be acknowledged in some way.

As a lore-hook, elves are usually the most xenophobic of all other races, so you know, let's make them half-everything so as to shatter old lore concepts
