A better hot hatch than a Golf GTI? Cupra Leon review

- The Cupra Leon's been around in one form or another since 1999, giving Golf GTI performance for less money and with a bit more style. This latest version's flown under the radar as Cupra's moved to electric cars and crossovers - but it's actually one of the best hot hatches on sale. Join Rebecca Jackson for an in-depth review of the Cupra Leon, including a look at the practical stuff such as cabin tech and boot space, and that all-important driving experience.

Great review, and very nice car. Is it better than an iconic GTI? Well, no. Nothing else is actually a 'GTI' except a VW Golf GTI.
Someone payed you lots to make this all up. Nothing beats a VW GOLF GTI.
@@tonysaberwal8895 Is that reply to me? I'm on the side of the GTI ... :)
Does it wheel HOP like that Golf gti
Nice looker, but it won't get you into the GTI members club.
It is a VW Golf! Or Skoda or Audi, all the same car with styling tweaks.😊
Basically the same car
Slightly confused with your opening comments about the Hyrid version when you quote 30 miles in electric mode. I thought the new model can do 60 miles on electric. The Golf 8.5 does. Also the updated Lean I thought had updated the screen so heating controls are now back lit. Looks a nice car. Thank you for the good review
She's reviewing the current gen Leon. The new one isn't in production yet :)
Unforgivable that those touch controls are not illuminated. Who signed off the testing??

Great if you like constant mechanical problems! Just get a Golf!
This is not the facelifted model, or am I wrong? Why would you review prefacelifted model?
Which car finance companies are being investigated?
If you bought a car or van on motor finance from the likes of Barclays Partner Finance, Blackhorse and Santander, and you think you were overcharged, you could be due a payout as a major mis-selling investigation has been launched
Right hand drive car.
BMW128ti will thrash it…
Another dangerous touch screen needing the driver to take his/her eyes off the road. When will manufacturers learn?
Same car, just less mature lol… would rather get a GTI
You’re comparing a 44k Cupra car to a 60 grand Volkswagen ……. Are you serious
Stellantis would be much better off if they sold cars like that in the states, across the pond, instead of the fiat and alfa cheapo junk. 💯🍋🫣🙄
Stellantis? Cupra is part of the Volkswagen Group.
Seat is the much cheaper alternative of any VW series - inc the legendary VW GOLF GTI!
