jacobdot456 You wouldn't be scared of a millennia old vampire who can move faster than you could blink? And who, based on what we saw with Detlaff fight, also has an even more powerful form?
***** O'Dimm may be far more powerful, but Geralt appeared to have less fear of of him. This might be because O'Dimm can be reasoned with far easier. It was only because Geralt was a witcher that he was even able to speak to the vampire, and that was after him nearly dying.
if you played Witcher and read all dialogues then you should have known that same questions were asked by duchess or her general ( don't remember ) and the witcher responded that neither garlic nor silver can't kill them, only other vampires, you can damage them seriously but in order to kill it's essential to be a vampire itself.
@Abu Troll al cockroachistan Not a vampire that powerful. Vampires like Dracula cannot be killed by the usual methods. There are about 13 steps that are a nightmare to go through. Maybe your standard vampire. Not an Elder or strigoi. Those things are damn hard to kill. Not even cutting his head off would finish the job.
I think that option was only put to show you how stupid you are, to be thinking of ever fighting it, after everything they told you about him... I think Gerald wouldn´t dare to say that in reality
@@RussianBear42069 you gotta be out of your damn mind if you think fighting an elder vampire is a good idea, if this vampire was inspired by World of Darkness Geralt would never stand a chance against him
@KingCraze22 she could probably also just drop them on a dead world with no hope of ever escaping aswell. They probably don't want to risk it if they don't have too especially since 100 years is nothing for an immortal vampire
Despite his frightening demeanor, I think he's actually a very sympathetic character. You really get a sense of his longing to return to his plane and the pain he has.
I agree. It’s not their fault they were thrown into a world of what to them are animals that are so base to them that they literally didn’t know what deception was before. (Regis states that Dettlaff knew so little of human nature that deception was a foreign concept to him). The Elder is most definitely a character deserving of sympathy. Live 1500+ years grieving for the loss of his home; pack, loved ones with the door shut to him and a daily reminder.
all he wants is to go back home, there's nothing evil in that plus i read that witcher universe vampires don't need to drink blood in order to live, blood is like wine to them, drinking too much and they get drunk but they can live without it
- GreeN - Sympathetic characters are ones that warrant our sympathy. So in this case he is a person who lives a sad life and is biologically immortal so we as players give him sympathy.
Well, it’s hard to appeal to anything else when talking to a being that chooses getting sealed in a cave for centuries over a minimum of interaction with the new world he has to inhabit.
That's not what convinces him. He listens when Geralt says that, it's a valid point to him, but what tips him over to helping is Geralt bringing up the fact that the hunters will eventually flood the caves or destroy them altogether, which is something the Unseen Elder actually cares about. Without knowing, Geralt hit right on the money, the one thing the Elder wants above all else is to go home, Regis hints it's why he's here, waiting, getting a few smells and bits of air from the other side from time to time. The mere possibility of the gate being harmed is simply unacceptable to him, hence why he frees Regis immediately after Geralt says that.
She got way more powerful now who knows what she can do. We only see a glimpse of her powers in the game, infact the hunt wanted to use her to not just open a gate. but to BE one.
your forgetting something ciri said she teleports by thinking of the place she wants to teleport to and closing her eyes and shes there, hard to think of a place you never been to don't ya think. Most likely she would need travel to a world through a portal like avahlac before she could just teleport there though its just a theory as they don't go into to much detail in the game about how it works. but proof that she just cant up and go to any place/world without having been there before can be found in the conversation when geralt finally finds ciri she says at one point when almost caught she teleported to the first comfortable place she could think of skelliga. Also would be no need to open the gate to the world where the white frost is if she could just teleport there anyways.
Ah yes, one of only two enemies Geralt will never be able to conquer: -Five foot drops -Bosses with no health bars Coincidentally, we found out the Elder's weakness- Trix. I laughed when Geralt held out the glowing trix and the Elder just went dashing past like a cartoon rabbit grabbing his treat.

Who actually chose the "innocent are dying" dialogue to this guy lol? This guy sees humans as food and you tell him he should care about innocent people? Lol
Humans aren't food to him. In the Witcher universe higher vampires (and I believe its safe to call this guy a higher vampire) don't need to drink blood to survive. Rather, Human blood is like alcohol to them.
@@tiffles3890 blood is a drug for them. The higher Vampires are all home sick stronger then that they all have different ways to deal with that. Detlev creating a family of lower creatures. The unseen Eldar dreaming of home. Regis before becoming friends with Geralt and co drinking blood.
Shame you can only do this quest if you don't do the fable world. Both are really interesting but fable world wins hands down for me due to all the characters you meet in there.
The only thing that bothered me about Witcher 3 was that the Wild Hunt was actually a circus compared to some of the side characters. The Crones creeped me out way more, Detlaff was a much harder foe and Gaunter O'Dimm was much more terrifying, too. And then the elder towered over them all, you just know he could wipe out entire city without much effort and it just doesn't happen because he doesn't give a shit. I think they should have skipped the whole "demasking of the Wild Hunt" part and kept them mythical figures. Things you don't know are way more scary.
I agree with you but Elder is scary but I dont think he will ever top O'dim. They are very similar in the way that they are so powerful enough to kill you before you blink. But O'dim powers go beyond physical and so he could probably teleport you to a world of suffering and make you immortal so that you can suffer for ever. O'dim can make " death is not the worst thing that can happen " a reality but the most the elder vampire could do it probably kill you. But what makes it scarier is that he doesnt do it but you know he can.
I, on the other hand, think it's perfect. The Wild Hunt is not a tremendous supernatural force, but rather something a very competent witcher with many powerful allies and the support of the world leading's superpower can kill. They aren't even close to the top of the food chain in the Witcher's multiverse. You have ancient creatures a witcher wouldn't go hunting for all the gold in the world, like higher vampires; then you have the guys the higher vampires are scared off, like the Unseen Elders. And finally you have Gaunter O'Dimm, which may as well be a god. And the Crones, which... What the fuck are the Crones anyways?
You don't realise that Eredin Bréacc Glas & The Wild Hunt were already very much established in the books and to a lesser extent in Witcher 1 & 2. So "keeping them as mythical figures" would not make any sense at all.
You know, you can actually do the fable land AND meet the Elder. Here's how: You must first tell Regis you will kill Dettlaff, and go do the whole Orianna thing up to the point she gives you the key that opens the Unseen's cave. Then, you allow Regis to persuade to try the alternative and rescue Syanna, go to fable land, fuck in the clouds etc.. You may later, by yourself locate the Elder's cave on the map and enter it, even get some parts of the red plate armor. But alas, if you enter the chamber with the Elder without Regis, he will fucking kill you. I tried sneaking past him, running in, drinking 5 vials of Black Blood, transforming into Ciri, god mode... *he will kill you*.
RUclips Hero Only a higher vampire can kill another higher vampire. I imagine the stakes are raised even higher with an elder vampire. Gaunter O'Dimm is powerful, a demon or devil of some sort I'm not sure, but I doubt he could kill him. His ability to suck out souls is limited to humans anyway.
+Spash 1098 More likely that he is "a" Satan of the Witcher universe rather than "the" Satan. I'm sure there are more powerful demons out there. Could be wrong though.
+Spash 1098 Is that an assumption, or do you actually have definitive proof that O'dimm is the only one of his kind? *There are multiple **_gods_** in the Witcher 3 universe*... why in the world would you assume there is only one kind of O'dimm Higher Demon/Devil/Elemental/? If you have some definitive proof that explicitly and absolutely states that O'dimm is even more unique than deities, then provide that evidence.
You'd be smug too if you can stop higher vampires with just your thoughts. That dude probably can't even remember the last person that stood a chance at actually killing him.
He doesn't sound smug. He sounds like he wants to be left alone. If anything he sounds like every word he's saying comes at great pain, like Regis said.
Unseen just lost his greatest chance of opening that gate. If only he knew CIri, daughter of this "no one" in front of him, could probably open the gate, at least teleport him back to his world...
Witcher 4 material. I mean there are monsters not even witcher as can deal with But ciri is a omnipotent god like being so I’m pretty sure a very pissed of elder vampire would be a good match for her. There are probably more of them somewhere. A invasion of them could be a pretty good reason to be able to play as ciri. Say 5-10 years or more after the events of the witcher 3 when she is much more experianced. Or have her helping the vampire ma get back to their realm is another worthy cause for her.
Yeah but she needs to know where she is going or take a random chance. Randomly finding the vampire world out of all of them is unlikely so she'd need to first go there before teleporting vampires. So she'd need avallach to find some door for her which he has no reason to do and may not even by able to do. If he can and will do it then they need to survive being there for long enough for ciri to teleport them out. Once she's done that then she can teleport the race at least hundreds strong, but possibly thousands, one by one to their world. That is unless the elder only cares about himself but then ciri may want to take them all anyway cos she's nice. Or she has to have a kid which would be super powerful and able to do it in one but would ruin her witcheress dreams for the next almost 20 years. I also doubt she'd want a kid after all the trauma she went through as one. So as cool as 'the witcher 4: ciri helps vampires' would be (I mean that sincerely) it doesn't seem to be possible to me, or at least in the way you suggested.
@@antonhallergren588 Uh no. Ciri's only power is being able to navigate throughout worlds. She doesnt control space/time, only uses it very well. Similar to a captain of a ship thats crossing the ocean. The captain obviously doesnt control the ocean...

Despite how monstrous he is, it is difficult not to feel sympathy for the Unseen Elder's plight. The King of the Vampires reduced to a monster wearing rags and squatting in a cave, pained merely by communicating with others, not caring about the rest of the world, remaining in said cavern for many hundreds of years, waiting by the gate back to his world because he is homesick. A gate that may never even open again.
"King of the vampires" lol, he's at most an normal noble class in his world, notice how only an small number of vampires crossed over? I doubt the strongest vampires were among the small number of vampires that got unlucky, I bet the "unseen elders"(at least the 3 of them) are normal level, and the higher vampires are their servants, note how the elders can basically control them
And the only reason he's there is not due to guarding the gate, at some level the Elder understands that it will never open again, but just so he can get a few smells of air from the other side every decade or so.
The Unseen Elder is one of my favorite characters. He is in the game for so little time yet they managed to give him so much nuance for his motives and personality. They obviously love their lore and it's awesome. Regis will ALWAYS be my favorite character from the series, but I really do love the Unseen and Detlaff as well.
I love that they made Geralt completely helpless against him. Kinda brings him down to a believable level instead of making him an unstoppable hero who can solve the problem every time.
@Dankina , the only way to defeat unseen Elder is with the help of Gaunter O'Dimm. But then Geralt owes Gaunter a service again to fullfill wishes so that Gaunter is able to take a poor persons soul.
In the part where Regis asks Geralt his motives for persuing such an almost impossible contract, if anyone has read the books, then "For you" would definitely be the appropriate answer, since Regis practically died for Geralt at trying to defeat Vylgefortz. Geralt is just paying a big favor for a long (almost) lost friend.
True. Funnily, this also means the ending where Dettlaf kills Syanna and Geralt lets him go is not the worst one, because it's the only one where Regis is not forced to fight and kill his friend and the only one where he leaves Toussant by his own volition.
@@Covencorner Regarding the angle Geralt is choosing in this playthru it is the most fitting answer. It is likely that they will not convince detlaff once he is summoned without Syanna and the will have to fight and kill him. Something Regis absolutely has no desire to do. So, it is not really (or only) to help his friend. It is again that geralt wants to be a Hero. Something the cynic he has become can´´t admit. He does not want glory anymore. He wants to do the right thing and does not see himself as a hero(something that does not exist in his worldview anymore)

15:24 I love Regis' gate analogy. His description resonates with me, especialy when I visit ancient and historical places which where the focal point of powerful and/or emotional events (good or bad). The people and the specific time of this event are long gone, like a door sealed shut, yet standing in these places (especial when you're alone and are not subjected to external distractions); I honestly do sometimes feel the "dust" comming through the cracks... It's very subtle, but it's there.
The Unseen Elder at first looks evil and grumpy but after Regis explanation many people understand him better. He just wants to be with his friends and family again in his world. Its as if a human has a plane accident and is stranded somewhere in the jungle and has to live with animals.
I'm interested about the other Elders how they are, because Regis said that you can speak with them, but with this elder..the words he speaks seems to make him pain by every word

I love that little giggle after Geralt says he’d rather not hurt the Elder. It’s as if he’s talking to a small child instead of one of the most proficient monster killers in the world.
It really felt like Geralt was at the mercy of The Elder. Heart of Stone was even more brutal since you’re literally dealing with some sort of God/Devil. This game is such a masterpiece.
These people who compared O'Dimm to Elder literally have no idea what the difference is in power level, he is evil incarnate. He can just think of sending elder vampire into his realm and be attached to some table with torture devices operating on their own for endless torment. He can do ALMOST anything. He is beyond what any vampire/human/monster or whatever exists can even imagine. As he said it himself, those who found out what he really is are dead or even worse then dead. Nothing so far compares to his power. Even if elder keeps slicing him to bits and peaces while he stands still, he would just appear behind him unharmed and laugh at him, just before sending him into a endless nightmare (for example). Nobody that we know of so far can hurt O'Dimm, he can only be banished if you beat him in his own game, if you attempt to fight him, you are done, or even worse then done. You need to learn how to spot different power levels, and what you can compare to what.
Denam No he can do whatever he wants,he is literally the god of the witcher universe. For those who say that he didn't kniw about ciri's wherabouts should watch that last piece of dialogue between him and geralt a handful of times to finally realize what he was meaning by that. If he truly didn't know where she was,how come he gives geralt the exact recomended information necessary to save her from her death. That means thayt he knows what the future really holds and he's just making matters hard for geralt. After all,for o'dimm delivering all the answers to geralt would be anti-climactic and not so fun for him to enjoy.
In the books, Jaskier/Dandelion asked Geralt if he could kill Regis if he had to (they just guessed who he really was). Geralt said "most likely not..." It tells a lot about the possible power of such Elder Vampire feared by Regis.
Kind of creepy how even Regis is afraid of the Unseen Elder. When he first walks in and sees him hanging on the ceiling, Geralt notices how he grips his bag and shivers a little.
Soon as I saw the speed on that guy, I knew there was no way in hell any kind of human was going to kill that. He wasn’t just moving fast enough to make it look like teleportation, he was moving so smoothly that he didn’t even disturb the air in his passing. That’s way beyond anyone’s level.
Thing is..he could have indeed done something in return for the Unseen...he could've promised to bring Ciri to him, who could've then used her power to travel to the Unseen's world, basically bringing him back to the home he sorely misses.. I think he would've left that cave and gone to kill Dettlaff himself in a second, under that promise.
well ciri can accidentally go to other worlds shes never seen but not specific ones on purpose. Still, she probably could work with the elder to bring him home. When they talk about how hard it is for the mmonsters to live here and how it physically pains the elder and he lives there just for a scent of home, hoping to get back. its really sad

@@nickreynoso1329but there was a portal there once that would let out a faint scent of home every so often. Which is why the Elder lives there. In theory Ciri's blood could reawaken the portal long enough to pop the Elder through.
The writing, the absolute stellar writing is what sets this game series apart from any other RPG. This Unseen Elder, he only spoke a few words yet he conveyed a world of emotions and was a more interesting character than any villain i have seen in many video games. Truly a masterpiece of good story telling.
This game does a phenomenal job of what I think vampires should be. Like, legitimately terrifying, very few weaknesses, can't be truly killed by anything other than another higher vampire--beautiful~ The Unseen Elder? Fucking waaaayy creepy, mysterious. I want to know about their homeworld so badly...
Damn I feel terrible for Regis right about now. I know what that place Geralt described would be for me (in fact I'm headed there tomorrow morning... wonderful) and I know that I would go mad within the day if I had to stay there for more then just a few hours. For him to live out his life at that place (which is probably an eternity) and still retaining his full sanity is commendable.
The panning out accentuating his presence in that cave, the lone guard to the most important thing of their culture. It really speaks volumes about his power.
This conversation helps to highlight to the player where geralt really stands in the world. There a few others in the game like around the end when speaking with ciri.
Yup, I hate that people really think that Geralt is some kind of allmighty demigod. Bruh, these people really think that game mechanics are part of the story, and he can beat Gods while eating some bread to regen.
The dialogues are so impressive in TW3, cannot descripe it so well... it is so well done, like two real people talking. Not just voice actors in separate rooms reading a text, more like they did this always together, see their reactions, and they really know what and how they have to talk. Its a bit weird, but i feel often a warm feeling in my chest, because in many conversations i hear and feel a believable sympathy when a person likes Gerald or/and is thankful for his help. This gives me as a player a positive feeling, that i have done somenthing good, i helped someone. I hope my poor english is enough to understand what fascinates me :)
During "Blood and Whine" I have been nostalgic for The Elder Scrolls for a couple of times. The exploration ambient resembles Oblivion so much... And this vampire episode and the cave made me remember Skyrim.
This Elder Vampire fella seems like a force to be reckoned with - an extremely powerful and unhinged creature. I wonder if he could ever mildly annoy Gaunter O'Dimm.

is it possible to rescue syanna after going to see the unseen elder? I want to be able to do this quest (cause its cool) but i also want to explore the fairy tale land. Is it one or the other or can i do both?
yes, when you speak with the Unseen Elder, you are only allowed to make one mistake, after that he will kill you, i find that cool :) , here in the video, the witcher makes as many mistakes as he wants with the Unseen Elder
It's crazy what a reversal of my expectations at that fork in the story wound up being. I thought the Unseen would be badass and impressive (the gate was really cool though) and helping Syanna would be a lame jail break. Regis gave me a second chance at getting Syanna and I'm so damn glad I took it over meeting with this dude. Learning more about the vampires was really cool but Fairy Tale world was so so much fun.
I can safely say that this was the only time I felt scared for Geralt. I had chills running up my spine and an increased heart rate. The upside-down cave was intriguing. I'd like to spend more time there, if and only if, the Unseen Elder went on a long holiday to Kovir or Poviss.
@ Or just converse with the Elder with no other motive than to talk? I mean, O' Dimm is exciting and all, but he can't just always be running around left and right, taking souls.. Right?

A tiny extra bit of dialogue occurs if you asked about the gate where Geralt includes it in convincing the Unseen Elder to help. "Destroy the gate beyond repair."
I feel like this is such an underrated path, cuz the game basically presses you, knife-to-throat to retrieve Syanna. I finally got curious after so many times being told "No", I finally "caved" and vistited this scary vampire elder and it became my preferred ending cuz it's just...so cool. And the entire city in mourning after is a nice touch.
O'Dimm is basically the Witcher world's version of the devil. There is no defeating him except through games of counter-treachery. As badass as this elder vampire is, he wouldn't stand a chance against Gaunter O'Dimm
We cant say anything about both of them.O'dimm might be just some powerfull demon that would explain why he loves human emotions and never cheats. He is barely evil he never cheat never lies and never uses his powers without contracts so he obviously not the devil. Also he said he cant find ciri since his powers has limits.Demons also close to immortal if not completely immortall.
Fun facts: Gaunter O'Dimm => GOD. Also the character is inspired from Randall Flagg (aka Walter O'Dimm, aka The Man in Black) from Stephen King's Dark Tower books (and also The Stand, and some others in King's meta universe), and Leland Gaunt from Needful Things, who is admittedly just another incarnation of Walter O'Dimm's meta character in King's book. It's the trickster god / crossroads demon archetype. The "Devil Came Down to Georgia" poker playing god.

Despite his frightening demeanor, I think he's actually a very sympathetic character. You really get a sense of his longing to return to his plane and the pain he has.
but if you show up there without Regis he just insta kills you...
I agree. It’s not their fault they were thrown into a world of what to them are animals that are so base to them that they literally didn’t know what deception was before. (Regis states that Dettlaff knew so little of human nature that deception was a foreign concept to him). The Elder is most definitely a character deserving of sympathy. Live 1500+ years grieving for the loss of his home; pack, loved ones with the door shut to him and a daily reminder.
all he wants is to go back home, there's nothing evil in that plus i read that witcher universe vampires don't need to drink blood in order to live, blood is like wine to them, drinking too much and they get drunk but they can live without it
You mean empathetic
- GreeN - Sympathetic characters are ones that warrant our sympathy. So in this case he is a person who lives a sad life and is biologically immortal so we as players give him sympathy.
I love how the only way he’s convinced is the notion that he may be slightly annoyed by repeated interlopers bugging him.
Me and him have something in common 😂
Talk about social anxiety.
You know, Ciri could take the vampires back to their world, being the lady of space and time and all. Could solve a lot of peoples problems.
Nah, she doesn't have the power to open the gate. It would have to be one of her descendants.
She could teleport with him though. Like she did with Avahlac. And Geralt.
She got way more powerful now who knows what she can do. We only see a glimpse of her powers in the game, infact the hunt wanted to use her to not just open a gate. but to BE one.
Maybe with ministers of court...
your forgetting something ciri said she teleports by thinking of the place she wants to teleport to and closing her eyes and shes there, hard to think of a place you never been to don't ya think.
Geralt: "rather not hurt you"

I love that the Unseen Elder gargled Geralt's own blood back at him
Ah yes, one of only two enemies Geralt will never be able to conquer:
-Five foot drops
-Bosses with no health bars

+Aniket Maurya huh when I went to the fable land both died.
Things you don't know are way more scary.
fair enough
I agree with you but Elder is scary but I dont think he will ever top O'dim.
They are very similar in the way that they are so powerful enough to kill you before you blink. But O'dim powers go beyond physical and so he could probably teleport you to a world of suffering and make you immortal so that you can suffer for ever. O'dim can make " death is not the worst thing that can happen " a reality but the most the elder vampire could do it probably kill you. But what makes it scarier is that he doesnt do it but you know he can.
TRUEEEEE
Here's how:
You must first tell Regis you will kill Dettlaff, and go do the whole Orianna thing up to the point she gives you the key that opens the Unseen's cave.
God mode ain't shit against the Unseen Elder.
Not even hacking in G O'D in there will save you. What a savage fuck.
Gaunter would bite his Apple and the Elder would incinerate lol
RUclips Hero Only a higher vampire can kill another higher vampire. I imagine the stakes are raised even higher with an elder vampire. Gaunter O'Dimm is powerful, a demon or devil of some sort I'm not sure, but I doubt he could kill him. His ability to suck out souls is limited to humans anyway.
+Spash 1098 More likely that he is "a" Satan of the Witcher universe rather than "the" Satan. I'm sure there are more powerful demons out there. Could be wrong though.
+Spash 1098
Is that an assumption, or do you actually have definitive proof that O'dimm is the only one of his kind?
*There are multiple **_gods_** in the Witcher 3 universe*... why in the world would you assume there is only one kind of O'dimm Higher Demon/Devil/Elemental/?
If you have some definitive proof that explicitly and absolutely states that O'dimm is even more unique than deities, then provide that evidence.
there are some beasts even witchers can't handle
You'd be smug too if you can stop higher vampires with just your thoughts. That dude probably can't even remember the last person that stood a chance at actually killing him.
Well atleast you are right fit for a Witcher
He doesn't sound smug. He sounds like he wants to be left alone. If anything he sounds like every word he's saying comes at great pain, like Regis said.
Doesn't have to kill anyone to approach him.. if he's really that powerful just take them out of the cave
People are assholes. If he only takes them out of the cave, they will keep coming back.. Death is the only solution for his solitude.
If he can and will do it then they need to survive being there for
long enough for ciri to teleport them out.

Despite how monstrous he is, it is difficult not to feel sympathy for the Unseen Elder's plight. I can totally see the Unseen Vampire Elder.

This Unseen Elder, he only spoke a few words yet he conveyed a world of emotions and was a more interesting character than any villain i have seen in many video games. Truly a masterpiece of good story telling.
Geralt: Rather not hurt you.
*5 seconds later*
Unseen Elder: *literally gargling his blood*
It's incredible how patient the unseen elder was with Geralt.
That foreshadowing of the gate between the vampire world and the normal world sounds awesome. Hopefully we get to see that in WItcher 4 someday.
Damn I feel terrible for Regis right about now. I know what that place Geralt described would be for me (in fact I'm headed there tomorrow morning... wonderful) and I know that I would go mad within the day if I had to stay there for more then just a few hours.
For him to live out his life at that place (which is probably an eternity) and still retaining his full sanity is commendable.
thanks god i choose the other option to go to the magical world and see the Tangled girl hanging her self with her hair
This game improves my vocabulary every time i play it !
indeed I know the feeling
The panning out accentuating his presence in that cave, the lone guard to the most important thing of their culture. It really speaks volumes about his power.
He’s like the son of Nosferatu and Emperor Palpatine… And that sends chills down my spine.
Unseen elder is just a veteran gamer waiting for his rtx 3090 to arrive during the pandemic.
I hope my poor english is enough to understand what fascinates me :)
indeed
For some reason I kinda respect him, don't bother him and you won't have problems. Fuck with him, blink and it will be the last
During "Blood and Whine" I have been nostalgic for The Elder Scrolls for a couple of times.
Do not repeat the things seen in this video at home, they're only possible through the magic of video editing ;]
Anyway... that gate between words thing... pretty cool, with the gravity bleeding or w/e is happening
it's darth sidious
more like Dracula, in the form of Count Orlok. With the gravity reversion being inspired by the 1992 Dracula film
is it possible to rescue syanna after going to see the unseen elder? I want to be able to do this quest (cause its cool) but i also want to explore the fairy tale land. Is it one or the other or can i do both?
nope
yes, when you speak with the Unseen Elder, you are only allowed to make one mistake, after that he will kill you, i find that cool :) , here in the video, the witcher makes as many mistakes as he wants with the Unseen Elder
Unseen Elder: the ultimate introvert
Lol this unseen elder guy is an extreme introvert, "interacting with others, it seems it causes him physical pain"
It’s like that “I’ve come to bargain” scene from Dr.Strange but with quicksaves instead of a time stone.
I like how Geralt will square up to literally anyone even an unseen elder lol
Don't forget he can sense you when you are somewhere else so... Doesn't matter if he's home or not.
Regis: Why risk your hide?
Geralt: For you...
Regis: (teary-eyed) GERALT-SENPAI!!!
Geralt: REGIS-KYUUUN!!
Utskuchi
Wtffff
I'd like to see a dialogue between Gaunter O'Dim and the unseen elder
@ Or just converse with the Elder with no other motive than to talk? I mean, O' Dimm is exciting and all, but he can't just always be running around left and right, taking souls.. Right?
@ Still a better answer than all of these Know It All's, who just yell "Gaunter O' Dimm is god because of his initials and his power is unlimited". Haha
O dimm: Soooo.. would you like to make a dea-
Elder: gods! For the last time no more questions!! How many of your infernal spoons must I throw away before you'll leave me peace?!?
O dimm: oh I don't know, how many do you think it will take?
Elder: .... I should have taken that favour from the Witcher.
O dimm: you know geralt too?
Elder: *steals spoon and throws it deeper into cave
O'dimm keeps talking ad infinitum while the elder bangs his head on rocks
4:01 why i love geralt he's mild amusement and curiosity in his voice...
Can we take a moment to appreciate the voice actor of the Unseen Elder? Jesus, his voice is so effective and terrifying I don't even use his skin as a leader in Gwent the Witcher card game.
yeah voice acting in general is top notch
The best thing to do is :go to Orianna, help with the orphanage and then change your mind and seek syanna..Profits are:
1. more xp 2. more playtime and missions 3. more looting 4.tousaint armor + vitis sword 5.gesheft sword . 6.hengaidth sword +1 more hen gaidth part(if u go into the cave of unseen elder after the end of blood n wine)
Εγω αυτο εκανα αλλα δεν εκανα αυτο με την Orianna. Τωρα που θα το ξαναπαιξω θα το κανω.
This quest reminds me of the daedric princes in the Elder Scrolls Games where this god-like beings could kill anyone with the blink of an eye, are pratticly immortal and the only way to survive them is trick them (like Gauntier O Dimm), make them fight each other using their power struggle (ESO Meridia vs Molag Bal), or with a great sacrifice ES IV Oblivion Martin Menhures Dagon. "But I fear that he will return those like him always returs" The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt dlc Hearts of Stone final entry for the character Master Mirror
As a character like Geralt it takes brass balls to handle that situation.
LOL that calm Toussaint music in the background though
“It seems even talking to others causes him physical pain.” Relatable.
"Innocents are dying" - major lol
5:20 wtf xD
No! you totally missed the super soft feels with Regis! Q.Q 13:49
fair enough :)
Doga Kupa he drove a socket through a poor fella's eye just for interrupting him. so yeah he can harm without having a contract/good reason
But among those having a physical entity,
The unseen elder is the strongest+fastest.
+Sara Anbarestani You are most welcome
Fun facts: Gaunter O'Dimm => GOD. Also the character is inspired from Randall Flagg (aka Walter O'Dimm, aka The Man in Black) from Stephen King's Dark Tower books (and also The Stand, and some others in King's meta universe), and Leland Gaunt from Needful Things, who is admittedly just another incarnation of Walter O'Dimm's meta character in King's book. It's the trickster god / crossroads demon archetype. The "Devil Came Down to Georgia" poker playing god.
