She's by far more agile than the most evasive characters, Kuvira, Azula etc. She displayed her skills freeing P'Li defeating the twins with ease and taking out white lotus members. Like Toph, she pushed her bending to new limits, water being an extension of her body. She was toying with both Bolin and Mako, dominated a battle with Kya (Katara's daughter) and probably could've had even defeated Amon, bends without arms or gestures, so can still psychically bend water around her (water arms still function). She very well could be the strongest water bender we have seen so far.
Still not seeing anything impressive. She didn't contend with both Bolin and Mako the way Unalaq did in a straight up bought. Zaheer was more agile when fighting an Avatar-state Korra. Kya has never been a significant fighter in terms of top tier (defeated by Zaheer before he achieved flight). Ming Hua is good but she's third or fourth on the Red Lotus team.
Antoine Bandele But like you said, Unalaq was surrounded by water, and when she was surrounded by water, it was really easy to electrocute her as she had no way to escape this.
Ming Hua needed more screen time!! easily one of the most under rated and under developed characters who always stole the show-everytime she was on screen I couldn't take my eyes off her and needed to see more of her fights. I think it has to do with her being with no arms. I believe her waterbending was more limited, because usually waterbenders could do a more defensive style with there arms, but Ming didn't have that. She had to create a more agreessive style to make up for her disadvantage. Thats a reason I thing she so good

What a close fight! Waterbenders, imho, have some of the more interesting fights in the series. Considering the placement of the battlefield, I'd say that yea, Unalaq takes it. In a more limited area though, or if Unalaq is limited to his pouch, I think Ming-Hua would win.
Mai is long range while Ty Lee is very agile melee. So it would all depend of Mai strucks her before she chi blocks her. Also for Zuko vs Kuvira. Is Kuvira allowed her metal gear? With metal gear she is op. Otherwise Zuko would dance dragon her.
You should do Toph vs Ming Hua! (: that'd be very interesting. Two disabled girls yet absolute masters of their element against one another would kick ass.
even tho Toph is bae, she loses, not because she's weaker, but because ming hua is simply not her type of opponent. she was wayyyyy too fast, agile, nible and her fighting style was very unorthodox and aggressive. she was constantly in the air moving around extremely fast on the offensive. Toph simply can't keep up with that
Marios AVATAR, Sadly, I gotta agree with cha. Toph is pretty agile for someone who has to keep her feet on the ground 24/7 but not at Ming Hua's level of agility.
While I do think that Toph is the superior bender, I believe that Ming Hua would win simply because Toph wouldn't be able to "see" her, it's shown in the series that Toph doesn't have sismic vision on water and if Ming Hua were to stay suspended on air with her tentacles, Toph wouldn't know where to aim at. Ps: Sorry for any mistakes I might have commited as English is not my first language.
Strongly Disagree. First off, "She's a top tier user of the water whip technique, but never displayed any other skills, besides water spouts." literally, in this vidio; 2:15 uses ice blades, 2:24 Freezes the twins in ice blocks and launches herself by creatung an ice block under herself to propell herself, 3:08 turns herself into an ice drill, 4:20 throws ice projectiles at Kya, 6:49 creates an ice spear to charge with. And thats just whats showen in this clip.. Off the top of my head, she also traps Bolin in a water bubble, created water puppets in the airbender temple, froze Dai li agents to the walls with ice in the earth kingdom, used various projectiles against Tenzin, was able to cut glass with surgical precicion.... Point being, she was very capable with various techiques some of which were unique and exclusivly only seen done by her. Secondly, outright giving Unalaq the edge in physical capability without even mentioning how obserdly agile Ming Hua was is just criminal, her agility was by far the the most impressive weve seen of any water bender yet, even without arms she was insaenly capable in a physical sense, while we never seen Unalq show any degree of physical capability. And finally, you neglect to mention that Ming Hua was capable of bending water without movment, that alone is insane and puts her way above him in terms of bending skill, yes she did often use hip movments to aid with her bending, but a lot of times she also simply didn't move atall and could still bend water. Overally I feel this should have been far more in favour of Ming Hua, a 6/4 if not 7/3. Unalaq was no joke for sure, but his main strength was in manipulation, deception and his spirit bending, otherwise Ming Hua was in a league of her own when it came to combat and unique uses of bending.
I think the main disadvantage she has is that she has difficulty manipulating water that isn't her arms. She's a master of water whip and all variations of water whip and knows how to use her water arms to her advantage. Your timestamps have some validity and I'll try to break them down. 2:24, this is completely fine and valid, she froze the twins. 3:08 she uses her arm water to turn into a drill so she lost all arm abilities by doing that and that's basically a suicide attack for her since she can't fight doing that move. 4:20, one of the ice projectiles were made by Kya in the first place as she redirected then towards Ming the other two appeared to be a chunk of ice and the other ice scythe which required her to a big spin to throw. 6:49, this ice spear move is a bit weird as it's a thrust attack and is definitely slower than a shot of fire which most people have no issues dealing with. Again she's a master of manipulating any water that's connected to her torso but lacks and moves that don't involve the water arms. Her agility is very good though.
Nice video 👍🏾 However I gotta go with Ming hua on this one. Her agility speed and movement give her a great advantage. Look at how she fights, constantly moving and overwhelming the opponent.
@@im2groovy no way Kya couldn't even do that, and Ming had to live with water for arms basically all her life, she would have so much more skill with water.
That might be true. However, Unalaq has a impenetrable like defense to match Ming Hua's overwhelming offense. Due to this.... Ming Hua would tire out before Unalaq and Unalaq would proceed to overwhelm Ming Hua's remaining options.
I like this analysis between these two---waterbenders are amazing and I am quite fond of Ming Hua especially here--while I think it is likely for Unalaq here to be the victor, I love how you do still keep showing that Ming Hua is just as good a match as an opponent. This scenario somewhat inspires me to write/draw these two in a battle. Great job-!!
I think the way ming'hua bends is "ghost movement" i think it was called, when a person with amputated arms or legs can feel they are moving when in fact there's nothing there to move
I have to say Ming-Hua is extremely strong despite her disability but Unalaq... He's a spirit bender, if they were to have a bending battle Unalaq would definitely win but Ming Hua would land some good hits that could injure him badly.
Eh not for Mako. He lost to her before and could tell how she fights. He also used lightning which he always had Bolin the wannabe joker got plot armor with his lava bending
*Actually, I think you neglected that Ming Hua effortlessly overcame environmental manipulation, when she swiftly traversed the forest of ice spikes that the Twins erected. While Unalaq is a master of environmental manipulation, Ming is a master of navigation* . It essentially balances out
Good video. I like the way you broke down the fight so despite the evenly split matches you could still give an edge to the victor based on analysing the stages of the fight, in this case the late fight scenario, very thorough work.
Avatar Kyoshi ty lee is fast on her feet and can paralyze them temporarily. I think ty lee could stand a chance. not sure about mai. but mai has guts! wasnt afraid to try and take azula on 1 v 1.
Mai can restrain their movement by pinning their clothes using her knifes ty Lee can block their bending and immobilize their limbs and paralyze their whole body
One of the twins could literally put a clear ice barrier around them while the other focuses on offense. Or they could use a water style barrier that Tarlock used against Korra.
Very interesting. Unalak is prob my favorite waterbender as a fighter. Good analysis though. I think hes underated though mostly because a lot of people dont really like him as a villain, so they may tend to ignore his strengths Ming Hua was scary and I think under most circumstances wouldve beaten mako, but your summary of her defeat was concise, and I feel, correct
Antoine Bandele you watch any animes like naruto, dragon ball z, or one piece? you seem to watch alot of stuff, just curious. now that i think about those are the only ones i watch...
Antoine Bandele whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat how could you not like naruto heh. well when u say u never got into it u mean u never watched it or u just never were really interested in it? cuz i dunno but one piece js pretty good :T
personally I have to give it to ming in my own head she strikes me as the kind who would hold a grudge where as Uunalaq probably stoped getting a s*** about them the second they went to prison. familiarity with one's opponent does have something to do with a victory familiarity on someone you've obsessed over that's a win. that said I do understand why you came to that conclusion
Interesting water bending fight versus shorts episode mate. I think if Mako use his electric bending to defeat Unalaq just like what he did on his fight with Ming Hua, that is what he could have done to stop Unalaq, but there would have to be close to a lake or river for Mako to use his electric bending to defeat Unalaq
RonnyLamar KylesJr. Kya knocked her off a cliff of which she came back a few seconds later unphased. Kya was doing good , but Ming Hua still outclassed her.
If excluding Dark avatar. Amon wins. If we take Unalak at peak, then Unalak can just enter the avatar state and resist the bloodbending. And as a waterbender it may also be possible for him to resist bloodbending, but theres no information to confirm or deny that he is capable of this +321gman That scenario is when Amon is at a disadvantage. In vs series we assume both combatants arent purely limited or else boosted by their terrain as much as possible, and try to give a level playing field
_He only did that when other equalists weren't around, so if a few were watching, how would it change with_ _him not bloodbending for the first part?_ The point you're missing is that Amon pretty much constantly bloodbent in fights against other benders whether someone was watching or not. In fights where Equalists and supporters/potential supporters were watching, Amon used very subtle bloodbending to throw a bender's aim off (which a good part of why Amon's dodging skills against other benders seemed so godly good). So, just about any attack that Unalaq uses be "redirected", as Mako put it, until Amon could move in and de-bend him. As mentioned earlier, though, using bloodbending against Unalaq would be rendered moot if he were merged with Vaatu.
I completely agree with how even a match between them be, and that's because Unalaq was also a member of the red lotus, so I feel he and Ming Hua would be familiar with each other's fighting styles
I agree with many results in your VS series, but I think Ming Hua would win. Much like when Bolin fought Gazaan for the first time, Kya's water attacks were just giving Ming Hua more ammo. Unless Unalaq cornered her with no water, Ming Hua would be able to bend more and more water against Unalaq. We saw that she beat both of his kids almost effortlessly. Ming Hua would smack him around a bit while dodging his attacks. Then she would freeze him in place before landing the final blow. Ming Hua would beat Unalaq much like how Unalaq beat his brother.
No way. Did you forget that Unalaq able to equally fight a full fledged Avatar and defeat both Mako n Bolin simultaneously? I sincerely believe that Unalaq will win this fight, although certainly very hard and he has to be extremely cautious with his moves or other wise she can quickly get the upper hand.
@@SerGio-mw9pc Dark avatar unalaq is relative to korra and aang avatar states. This should be a complete stomp 9.5/10. Only base unalaq is discussion worthy. In that case prob 6/10 ming hua favor, she has too much mobility.
No she won't lmao. Just because Ming-Hua was able to beat his kids doesn't mean that she can beat him as well. Mako literally killed her, while Unalaq constantly beat Mako without difficulty
@@dyffevaughnranen1414 Unalaq fought Mako in a hallway with only a water pouch, and won. Her death wasn't situational. Mako evaporated her water. Mako was about to shoot her with a fireblast until she jumped into the water below. If anything it shows how good Unalaq is since with only limited water he beat Mako.
Aang as a 12 year old was at least on the same level as Tenzin when it came to airbending. Zaheer is no match. The only reason Zaheer was able to beat Avatar state Korra was because she kept getting poisoned when she had the advantage
every one seem to forget what made unalaq a BIG BAD BOSS and that IS SPIRIT BENDING which means he can add evil spirtits to his arsenal and even VAATU himself...............did you really think Ming hua stands a chance?.................like seriously???
@Wes Bradley-Taubner You're forgetting that Ming hua is a very light fighter who is mostly in the air while fighting, which is Toph's greatest weakness as he have seen in her first encounter against Aang. Even Azula was able to escape Toph in the sun eclipse episode. And being trained by the og benders doesn't make you stronger, it just gives you better understanding of your element.
@Wes Bradley-Taubner Toph would only be able to hit Ming hua when she's on the ground, and before that happens she's already moving to the next spot. Toph isn't the type of fighter to randomly put defenses, she listens and responds. But that takes time and Ming hua is too fast for that. I do think tho Toph will win eventually, but Ming would give a good fight
@Wes Bradley-Taubner It's really dependant on the location how much Ming can stay in the air, but if it has enough grapple points, Toph is basically over. Any other location Toph wins though. Ty lee got cuffed to the ground because her focus was on the bear, and Toph already sensed her with her seismic sense. So it was pretty unfair. In the episode where there was en eclipse, Azula was able to outmaneuver Toph, Ming hua is just as fast as Azula if not, faster AND just as light, probably lighter as she doesn't have arms. Let's not forget Toph can't sense water based projectiles as we have seen with her little fight with Katara, this in combination with Ming's agility makes it very hard for Toph
Whoa. I can definitely compare these guys to Darth Tyranus and General Grievous, with Ulalaq playing the role of Tyranus and Ming-Hua standing in for Grievous. This fight would be like one of those lightsaber sparring sessions, in which Ulalaq would teach Ming-Hua an important lesson of "fear, surprise, and intimidation." Meanwhile, I do love close fights. Keep making more.
Zuko said that the members of the red lotus could beat any bender (so I think Ming Hua could beat Unalaq too...) Ming Hua is faster and moves more too, she could easily avoid Unalaqs slow attacks.
Yet the group was defeated by a group of four, two of whom were elderly and one of them a non-bender. So apparently Zuko was vastly overestimating them or forgot how they were defeated before.
Another fine video indeed. I'm not sure if you take requests but I'd LOVE to see you do Iroh vs Ozai, this is one of the most controversial matchups in Avatar(only beaten by Korra vs Aang) and it's always talked about on the forums and other vs sites. I feel like someone who knows both characters extremely well has the best chance of finding a Victor between the two. I know it sounds like I'm sucking up to you now that I read it over :P
In her fight with Kya, Ming Hua used all the water used by Kya to her advantage. I don't see any waterbender winning against her directly. But I do see her losing to certain skilled firebenders. Unalaq didn't have water attached directly to his chest, so he was easily able to outclass Mako.
@@aquadraws5833 she's made of water? I just thought that she didn't have any arms, and just used waterbending as a substitute. is it mentioned that she's actually made of water in the comics or something, or am i just misinterpreting it?
@@aquadraws5833 ah, I see. But either way, unalaq still should be able to at least slow them, so Ming would be at a disadvantage against a strong waterbender like Unalaq anyways
Johnny Joestar I disagree. Unalaq’s true talent resides in the spirit-bending technique. Other than that he mostly relies on environmental bending rather than more precise techniques of water bending. Even if Unalaq is a master environmental bender, Ming Hua is a master navigator thanks to her overall agility and speed which was portrayed multiple times during the series. Unalaq’s bending style is just too slow to compare.
Cool battle, too battle to suggest? I actually don't have any, I really would like master Paku to be in a battle but I just feel we haven't seen enough of him to determine how actually strong he is, we have seen him in 3 fights. His one with Katara, which he won and in my opinion at least for the first part of the fight he wasn't taking seriously. During the attack of the north pole and there his power was increased because of the moon and we barley saw him. Then in the finale when the white lotus attacked ba sing se, probably the closest we have seen him attacking with everything he has
Thought they are both adaptable, and likely familiar with each other's styles, I still give Ming Hua the edge because of her agility. As evidenced by her fight with Unalaq's children, she used changes in environment to her advantage. Antoine does have a point however with strategy being Unalaq's strength. I could imagine a quick unexpected turn around. Unalaq is consistently good with reversing manuvers, where as Ming Hua seems more reliant on the follow through of her motions.
Benders who managed to overcompensate with bending for their disability tend to become unintentionally more powerful, like with toph and her blindness, and Ming Hua
Yeah I think it has to do with them being born a bender so they have to work 10 times hard then most benders to make up for an disadvantage they were born with to turn it to a advantage
I don't disagree with this, but there is one very small factor we are neglecting, Unalaq could just bend Ming Hua's water whips himself. He has the tactical insight, patience and precision, so a small disruption to a water whip will disrupt her motion or even her offense, thus leaving her open.
I do enjoy your videos, I swear i do, I just keep disagreeing with them. I think I agree with the rest of your video, but not the victor or bending. Ming-hua as far as i can tell was the best non-Avatar waterbender we ever saw in action (even though I think it's a given than 30 year old Katara would completely wreck her), Unalag was good, even very good, but she beat the Water Twins with zero effort, nobody else even held their own against those two. I think she would have the bending advantage by about the same margin that she had the physical disadvantage. when Zuko said they could take down any bender, I don't think he was excluding anyone who had been active in many years
@@shekargarvey8330 he was staying alive vs 4, but at no point was he was he even a consideration to win. Also like we saw with Aang vs Toph, in a world with no Airbenders active, people don't know how to fight it as well, he was using something unfamiliar and they weren't ready for it, and he did a very good job, but as soon as they decided to end it, he went down
chevin0 he was 1v5ing the supposed deadliest people on the planet,it should have been over in 5 seconds, also he was dominating Zaheer 1v1 and also toph in particular can’t fight airbenders cuz of the blindness
I find it hard to believe that Unalaq could keep up with Ming hua he’s a super underrated bending but ming hua has so much speed and agility and can dodged so many attacks
I really wish Ghazan didn't committed suicide and Ming-Hua doesn't die because those 2 could join the good guys, well the other 2 (P'li & Zaheer) is like pure evil.
Antoine Bandele Well I just like saying "destroy" when I'm confident one character would win. I noticed it early on. Even the way she controlled her water when Zaheer first gave it to her. She threw her whole body into it once it came close to her, as if she couldn't control it any other way. It makes sense, since she has limited movement with only her hips and torso. Any other bender could use their arms or legs to control their environment, and gain distance. Her water has to essentially touch her in order for her to control it. This is a huge disadvantage, which is why she moves around so much in her fights. It's the only way for her to gain and maintain control in a battle.
I would not say he destroys. Ming Huas style is very unorthododx and he would have to adjust to that first, that is an advantage she has against pretty much anyone. Unalaqs bending was masterful, but still conventional.
Max Mustermann I'm exaggerating when I say destroy. It just means that I'm confident that Unalaq would win. And yes his bending is conventional, but in the best way possible. Plus, the traditional northern waterbending style is superior to any other, in my opinion.
I really want an Avatar series with someone like Ming Hua being the main villain. Her defeat to Mako was bullshit and purely plot driven. She didn't blood bend at all but was a fucking god to benders.
does bending without arm not impressive enough? I thought she'll be another person beside aang (avatar state) that immune to blood bending. I mean.. blood bending blocked by drawing power inside your body (Katara does this under full moon), by Aang (obviously, his avatar state) and I assume she bend that water with inner power, like how King Bumi bend just with his face (yea, avatar series already shows 2 persons bending without hand). add : my point is, ming hua has good inner power control than other benders. She has potential, but she's lack screen time.

Master Pakku bent without his hands when he picked up his necklace and unfroze Katara too
i love your videos. they go through all the scenarios and possibilities very clearly making the fights easy to understand. keep up the good work. also can you consider making pakku vs kya
Amon beats Zaheer, not really any way round bloodbending Id still say Tenzin beats Zaheer, not really enough of an advantage by flight alone to sway it in Zaheers favor Pli Id argue is stronger than Zuko, her combustion ability is insanely strong Toph I think beats Ghazan, though not by much
What Mufasa said more or less. P'li can block all of Zukos attacks like when she blocked dragon fire, then she just blows him up. Toph and Ghazan is close, maybe an edge to Toph.
The Amon one is easy. Antoine himself stated that Amon is the most powerful non avatar/spirit character. Amon was agile, water-blood and mind bending master (he needed only eye movements to bend). Imo Tenzin>Zaheer, P li>Zuko, Zaheer>Zuko. Toph vs Ghazan dunno. (her blindness could be a huge issue here)

Toph is better but can still have a tough matchup in ming hua
Unalaq was no joke for sure, but his main strength was in manipulation, deception and his spirit bending, otherwise Ming Hua was in a league of her own when it came to combat and unique uses of bending.
agreed her movements are too slow for him.
THANK YOU. She was a psychic water bender. Just like amon.
agreed
Ming hua would slice off his arms before unalaq could even raise them ngl. He is way too slow compared to her
I think the main disadvantage she has is that she has difficulty manipulating water that isn't her arms.
You should totally do Iroh vs King Bumi!
Perhaps, perhaps.
Not Necessarily Iroh sent a lot of time in the earth kingdom. We dont know what techniques he might of picked up from the earthbenders.
Bumi wrecks.
I like. Though I am a star wars person, from what I've seen of Avatar this seems really coo!.
earth>fire, earth is very defensive and if someone builds an earthfort around himself it's hard to get in cause fire is gas.
Love your videos dude, especially the avatar ones! ;D Keep up the good work!
Thanks Liam!
Nice video 👍🏾
However I gotta go with Ming hua on this one. Her agility speed and movement give her a great advantage. Look at how she fights, constantly moving and overwhelming the opponent.
I agree with cha!! :D
B.t.w., was she really *born* without arms?! I though they had been chopped off during a fight prior to the start of LoK.
Unless Unalaq manipulates her arms
@@im2groovy no way Kya couldn't even do that, and Ming had to live with water for arms basically all her life, she would have so much more skill with water.
What about unas blood bending
Saying "this round is a little unfair" when talking about a fist fight against a woman with no arms is the understatement of the century lol.
😂
I think the way ming'hua bends is "ghost movement" i think it was called, when a person with amputated arms or legs can feel they are moving when in fact there's nothing there to move
When I saw the title I was sure she was gonna win but you explained it very well so in the end I Agreed! Keep up the great content!
Thanks Phantom.
I didn't even know Ming Hua didn't have arms... You learn something new everyday
For Ming Hua water is apart of her literally she needs it.
I have to say Ming-Hua is extremely strong despite her disability but Unalaq... He's a spirit bender, if they were to have a bending battle Unalaq would definitely win but Ming Hua would land some good hits that could injure him badly.
This was really good, these two are almost equal to me and I agree with you in the end.
Let’s be honest here, the only reason Mako and Bolin won is because they have plot armor.
True lolll
The only reason Ming Hua was even “good” and “overpowered” was because SHE had plot armor.
@@dustinrivera8924 how? Do u know what plot armor is?
I mean my guy mako can lightning bend with ease that’s not really plot armor Bolin lava bending is plot armor
Eh not for Mako. He lost to her before and could tell how she fights. He also used lightning which he always had
Bolin the wannabe joker got plot armor with his lava bending
*Actually, I think you neglected that Ming Hua effortlessly overcame environmental manipulation, when she swiftly traversed the forest of ice spikes that the Twins erected. While Unalaq is a master of environmental manipulation, Ming is a master of navigation* . It essentially balances out
that physical ability section has to be the fastest you've ever done
Good video. I like the way you broke down the fight so despite the evenly split matches you could still give an edge to the victor based on analysing the stages of the fight, in this case the late fight scenario, very thorough work.
I agree. I love my verdict system so much now.
Desna and Eska vs Mai and Ty Lee
twins take this because they both can bend while Mai and Ty Lee cannot
Avatar Kyoshi ty lee is fast on her feet and can paralyze them temporarily. I think ty lee could stand a chance. not sure about mai. but mai has guts! wasnt afraid to try and take azula on 1 v 1.
Mai can restrain their movement by pinning their clothes using her knifes ty Lee can block their bending and immobilize their limbs and paralyze their whole body
One of the twins could literally put a clear ice barrier around them while the other focuses on offense. Or they could use a water style barrier that Tarlock used against Korra.
Ty Lee and Mai could face care of them if you imagine that they beat up the whole avatar team and Soldiers very often
hey anytoinie bandele i started watching avatar because of this sires its gr8 thanks for amazing content
Yaaaaaaas. Love hearing this.
That's great!
That is like the biggest compliment you could have given.
Antoine Bandele u deserve it man and it may be like a fan thing to say but thanks for replying ;p
Very interesting. Unalak is prob my favorite waterbender as a fighter. Good analysis though. I think hes underated though mostly because a lot of people dont really like him as a villain, so they may tend to ignore his strengths
Ming Hua was scary and I think under most circumstances wouldve beaten mako, but your summary of her defeat was concise, and I feel, correct
Yes, I agree Unalaq is a master waterbender. It's just that he's not a very good villain lmao
Mohan Grewal he's a good villian for those really into spiritual, metaphysical, and esoteric topics
ShizenTeq Agreed.
My favourite waterbender as well.
this is one of those rare razor thin stalemate matches huh?
Stalemate if I didn't have my early, mid, late fight segments.
I wish someone would go over Korras water bending because every time we see her use it she does something amazing with it
YAS I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS EVER SINCE U REPLIED TO ME TELLING ABOUT THISSSSSSS. love this vid.

@RonnyLamar KylesJr. Almost is an exaggerated statement, I love kya but she was bested by Ming hua in my opinion
Have to say you made a very fair argument on both sides for this one, really well done : 3
personally I have to give it to ming in my own head she strikes me as the kind who would hold a grudge where as Uunalaq probably stoped getting a s*** about them the second they went to prison. familiarity with one's opponent does have something to do with a victory familiarity on someone you've obsessed over that's a win.
that said I do understand why you came to that conclusion

classic Team Avatar pre season 4 finale vs Red lotus?
By classic, are you a) Including Zuko, b) Including Unalol as red lotus, 3) Including avatar state?
Interesting water bending fight versus shorts episode mate. I think if Mako use his electric bending to defeat Unalaq just like what he did on his fight with Ming Hua, that is what he could have done to stop Unalaq, but there would have to be close to a lake or river for Mako to use his electric bending to defeat Unalaq
As always, wonderful video Antoine!
Anyway, Ming Hua best water bender ever.
RonnyLamar KylesJr. Kya knocked her off a cliff of which she came back a few seconds later unphased. Kya was doing good , but Ming Hua still outclassed her.
Unalaq wasn't the one who got killed by Mako lol.
@ron idk what you’re arguing against me with cuz I dont think Ming Hua is the best waterbender, just saying she’s better than Kya.
Them waterbenders be dangerous ash 😂
Unalaq VS Amon, Battle of the great waterbenders and adversaries of the Avatar!
Bloodbending. Fight over.
He only did that when other equalists weren't around, so if a few were watching, how would it change with him not bloodbending for the first part?
If excluding Dark avatar. Amon wins. If we take Unalak at peak, then Unalak can just enter the avatar state and resist the bloodbending.
And as a waterbender it may also be possible for him to resist bloodbending, but theres no information to confirm or deny that he is capable of this
+321gman That scenario is when Amon is at a disadvantage. In vs series we assume both combatants arent purely limited or else boosted by their terrain as much as possible, and try to give a level playing field
_He only did that when other equalists weren't around, so if a few were watching, how would it change with_ _him not bloodbending for the first part?_
The point you're missing is that Amon pretty much constantly bloodbent in fights against other benders whether someone was watching or not.
Not enough waterbending feats for Amon other than bloodbenging which I'm assuming wouldn't be allowed in a fair fight.
@@γαμώ You're acting like Unalaq has fought Mako in a cave full of water where he was submerged in. Ming hua's death was very situational.
@@dyffevaughnranen1414 Unalaq fought Mako in a hallway with only a water pouch, and won.

Zaheer would win in non avatar state aang but if aang entered avatar state zaheer would be dead

Toph vs Ming Hua PLZ!
Ming Hua Duh
@@dyffevaughnranen1414toph would never win against ming hua. Same reason she can't beat zaheer
Whoa. I can definitely compare these guys to Darth Tyranus and General Grievous, with Ulalaq playing the role of Tyranus and Ming-Hua standing in for Grievous. This fight would be like one of those lightsaber sparring sessions, in which Ulalaq would teach Ming-Hua an important lesson of "fear, surprise, and intimidation."
Meanwhile, I do love close fights. Keep making more.
Love the comparison. Though id strictly keep it to EU Grievous. The canon one is a little too immobile to be considered Min Hua
Agreed.
First I didn't get how she could bend water without hands to control
They're BOTH the Red Lotus waterbender though XD lol
Unalaq gave up his Red Lotus status after they went to prison. He was more interested in his own individual interests.

You are my favorite youtuber of all time and I love everything avatar besides the movie
Zuko said that the members of the red lotus could beat any bender (so I think Ming Hua could beat Unalaq too...) Ming Hua is faster and moves more too, she could easily avoid Unalaqs slow attacks.
Jeroen Reuvers That is not the greatest logic to go by.
Jeroen Reuvers no just no
Yet the group was defeated by a group of four, two of whom were elderly and one of them a non-bender. So apparently Zuko was vastly overestimating them or forgot how they were defeated before.
Unalaq is red lotus too. He WAS at least

The only real advantage Iroh has is redirecting lightning, but as soon as Ozai found out Aang could do it, he stopped shooting lightning.
The Avatar Standard battle assumptions means Ozai won't know that. Plus Iroh stomps Aang in fire.
Aang vs korra you mean in a Aang vs Korra korra would win not liying telling the truth
In her fight with Kya, Ming Hua used all the water used by Kya to her advantage. I don't see any waterbender winning against her directly. But I do see her losing to certain skilled firebenders. Unalaq didn't have water attached directly to his chest, so he was easily able to outclass Mako.
Dont know if one gets to see them enough but I would like some rating between members of white lotus. Like Jeong Jeong vs Pakku.

Yeah he's underestimated, I feel, because the storyline he was a part of was so weak.
old video, but there is one thing that settles the fight.
can't Unalaq simply manipulate or freeze Ming's water arms?
Johnny Joestar Ming quite literally made water a part of her so her hold on them (in terms of bending) is superior to everyone else
@@aquadraws5833 she's made of water? I just thought that she didn't have any arms, and just used waterbending as a substitute. is it mentioned that she's actually made of water in the comics or something, or am i just misinterpreting it?
Johnny Joestar no you’re right, I should have clarified. What I mean is that Ming Hua views it as a part of her since she depends on it so much.

Then in the finale when the white lotus attacked ba sing se, probably the closest we have seen him attacking with everything he has
Ming hua would probably *stab* unalaq in the first place
and he would probably just defend?
no
Thought they are both adaptable, and likely familiar with each other's styles, I still give Ming Hua the edge because of her agility.
Do Amon vs Ozai
It's time for you to look inward, and begin asking yourself the big questions.
Who would win in a fist fight?
I believe if ming hua had 5 seconds after losing her water in her fight with mako, she could extract it from the air
Red lotus (P'li, Ghazan, Zaheer, Ming Hua) vs team avatar (Zuko, Toph, Aang (airbending only), Katara).
I think she would have the bending advantage by about the same margin that she had the physical disadvantage. when Zuko said they could take down any bender, I don't think he was excluding anyone who had been active in many years
chevin0 I think Unalaq wins I disagree
Remember, Unalaq was also a member of the Red Lotus.
Tenzin was 1v5ing them
@@shekargarvey8330 he was staying alive vs 4, but at no point was he was he even a consideration to win.
That first segment made me laugh.
Unalaq destroys. Ming Hua can only bend water that's extremely close to her.
I wouldn't say destroy but that is an advantage I was not aware of until I actually compared the two.
Once she gathers her water arms she is completely mobile making it hard for Unalaq too hit
Tenzin VS Zaheer
or
Zuko VS P'li
If these have been done, sorry lol
Zuko VS Zaheer
Just everyone vs Zaheer
Toph VS Ghazan?
Amon VS Zaheer
Amon beats Zaheer, not really any way round bloodbending
Id still say Tenzin beats Zaheer, not really enough of an advantage by flight alone to sway it in Zaheers favor
Pli Id argue is stronger than Zuko, her combustion ability is insanely strong
Toph I think beats Ghazan, though not by much
What Mufasa said more or less.
(her blindness could be a huge issue here)
Avatar Mufasa pli is not stronger than zuko or of comboston man hahahha sry
I never knew she was born with no arms I thought they were tied up and used water whips
