I don't really think so. I think he's more at peace with knowing he won't be able to see them. Clank did only introduce the Demonsionator again in this very game, give Ratchet time to process it.

@@RubyCarrots3232 some of the comics go into detail about his experiences after Dreadzone, they suggested that Ratchet has PTSD from those events, sadly the only thing to carry over to the main games, was ratchet's attitude shift about "being a hero", less jovial enthusiasm from the first trilogy and more "mature duty" in the future series. But I would loved to have seen them explore his anxiety and his feelings of "imposter syndrome" because of all the innocent people he had to kill to survive.
