I think it would be cooler to have the ryno 8 shoot out stuff like an actual gun… It could still be dimension based. But wouldn’t it be cooler to see the ryno shoot out all sorts of things like precursor eggs and coins from sly cooper. Sack boys and limbs from the robots in horizon. And have them all be explosive. Or have the gun shoot actual rockets and bullets and throw in some Easter eggs from other games while still shooting bullets and rockets
That's a cool idea. But the Ryno has allways been a clear screen item. Giving it RnD would defeat the purpose and make it more like a sub weapon, like the sheepinator or the groovatron. However you do get random stuff pop in after the clear screen effect. But becuase of the size some of those items get, it would be silly to accidentally shoot a Harbinger off a cliff when it could be very reliable to have in a fight.
Ryno 3 the most OP of them all. It threw a nuke each time and disintegrated anyone around instantly. Double shot? Not needed. Was it the most fun? Debatable. But canonically, undisputedly the strongest.
@@Sub-Sownik oh yeaaa I played a challenge mode using the Supernova lvl 99 only and finished the game in around 1:30h from beginning to the end, the bosses stood absolutely no chance against that they just got literally destroyed in a matter of seconds much love for the Harbinger/Supernova
If there is ever going to be a finale for Ratchet and Clank to finally be reunited with his kind, there’s no telling what they’re gonna do with a RYNO 9

I still like the RYNO from the first game the most. The others fire so many bullets that it almost feels wasteful when little of them actually hit. RYNO I fires only 9 rockets, and all of them are tracking. It just _feels_ very powerful and efficient.
It fires seven, despite the barrel count of nine. This was most likely for a combination of performance reasons and "balance", if you can even apply that word to a RYNO lol.

But a full auto 30 barrel double rotary rapid fire missile launcher that play Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, even to this day, still remains an icon. And let's be real, kinda hard to beat that or the Harbinger from Ratchet Gladiator. I think I'm okay with less laser beams of death that make every other gun worthless.

After downloading the ratchet and clank ps4 version that was free with playstation plus I liked the game a lot and bought ratchet and clank rift apart for the ps5 and got platinum already such a great game
I'm a little divided on the RYNO 8 to be honest. I mean, I LOVE that it's a dimension based weapon dropping stuff on enemies, and some of the things dropped are some of THE coolest easter eggs and references to other platformers and games. BUT, I miss the rocket and projectile firing madness. If you wanted to add a dimension-esque twist to it, why not have all the rockets and projectiles shoot out from other pocket dimensions and multiple angles rather than having it come out of the one weapon output? And actually, rather than just rockets, what about other stuff too like swarms of bees, piranhas, and other animals alongside the heavier stuff getting dropped? I don't know what music you'd have play from that but it's an idea, maybe for another game?
To me what makes the RYNO 8 the most badass one is how eviscerating it is. Massive time explosion bomb that evaporates everything and causes a massive damage rift that destroys even the toughest bosses on the hardest difficulty lol.
That’s a good idea you have fo sho. There is a gun that reminds me of one of the earlier rhinos and when you upgrade it all the way, every enemy you destroy gets blown up and sucked into a weird black hole damaging everything around it

One of the many things I always look forward to in a new R&C game has always been the RYNO. My personal favorite is still the RYNO II from Going Commando. Compared to the others, it’s still just a normal weapon that does it’s job of clearing the screen of enemies and doing it fast and efficient without all the chaos and gimmicks of the other incarnations, including from Up your Arsenal which is WAY TOO OP lol
When it comes to the RYNO, there’s no such thing as too OP lol The RYNO in Ratchet And Clank 3 (Up Your Arsenal in the US) is probably my favourite along with the 8. The only way the 8 could top it is if the screen went white when you used it lol
I strongly disagree with the notion that the RYNO II is efficient, the missiles have lock-on but with no guidance, so if the target is moving they will just miss - fighting Megapede with it is irritating, for example. *[edit: typo]*

Should've shown off the RY3NO and the RYNOCIRATOR separately. The RY3NO is comparable to the RYNO 2, but the upgraded RYNOCIRATOR is more like the Zodiac from Going Commando with the blinding instakill effect. (I also think the Zodiac and Harbinger should've been included, but eh)
I'm disappointed in ALL of you for sleeping on the Harbinger/Supernova from Deadlocked. It was easily one of the most fun RYNO-Type, but not RYNO weapons in the entire franchise.
RYNO 5 was my favorite cus its the one i think of when I think of the RYNO. I love music so being able to shoot a minigun with rockets that have a symphony playing at the same time is a dream.
A piece of Trivia, the red lasers of the RY3NO deal more damage than the white flash. So for the enemies that don't get wiped out by the flash can typically be wiped out by the lasers (if you bothered to aim it.) But as shown in the clip. Most enemies could be taken out with a 'double tap' as it were.
Funny story when I was a kid I played the first game & thought I was legit buying a real Ryno as a weapon lol I was very disappointed it was a rocket launcher
it was in fact a Horizon Easter egg, i have since played and 100% completed Rift Apart and i can say that it does have multiple Horizon robots that come out of the portals.@@pacifistminigun3987
The Ryno V was amazing for having THAT music play during it. But my favorite was the Ryno VI. Because in the wise words of "ValeforXD" Ahem "I could add a sin for the Ryno VI puzzles being too easy, or I could add a sin for the Ryno VI having too little ammo, or I could knock 15 sins off for the Ryno VI being a FUCKING MECH SUIT"
For me, RYNO 1 and 5 are the best. You truly felt like you had an illegal weapon you werent supposed to have. Earning it in the first game made you feel like you just did a drug deal. And in crack in time you possess a weapon that was discontinued and banned in 8 whole galaxies for being too dangerous. And the 1812 overture just feels like a giant "F You" to enemies cause you got something NO ONE ELSE in the game has
I think you forgot about the Harbinger from Deadlocked. That one counted as the description said being compared against the RYNO as Shellshock said. Anyway, all of the RYNOs are so badass, that they can pretty much demolish a boss in almost 30 seconds.
You got every RYNO being a gigantic blaster, but then the RYNO VI being a Mech suit just makes it better by a long shot. (Sadly the ammo count sucked though.)

Ryno 1 is still my favourite of all time. Just that whole game in general always brings the biggest smile to my face when I watch it or play it.
It had the most charm and it’s still the most memorable one to me. Surprisingly Deadlocked is the one I remember having the most fun playing.

The RYNO 8 has the smallest ammo count in the series (7 max). But damn, does it eat everything in its huge radius.

I strongly disagree with the notion that the RYNO II is efficient, the missiles have lock-on but with no guidance, so if the target is moving they will just miss - fighting Megapede with it is irritating, for example.

Should've shown off the RY3NO and the RYNOCIRATOR separately. The RY3NO is comparable to the RYNO 2, but the upgraded RYNOCIRATOR is more like the Zodiac from Going Commando with the blinding instakill effect. (I also think the Zodiac and Harbinger should've been included, but eh)
Going from the first and second ryno to the third is just sad. It’s not even a missle launcher once you upgrade it.

RYNO 5 was my favorite cus its the one i think of when I think of the RYNO. I love music so being able to shoot a minigun with rockets that have a symphony playing at the same time is a dream.
Ryno 2 my favourite. I loved to one man army with that OP gun.
A piece of Trivia, the red lasers of the RY3NO deal more damage than the white flash. So for the enemies that don't get wiped out by the flash can typically be wiped out by the lasers (if you bothered to aim it.) But as shown in the clip. Most enemies could be taken out with a 'double tap' as it were.

For me, RYNO 1 and 5 are the best. You truly felt like you had an illegal weapon you werent supposed to have. Earning it in the first game made you feel like you just did a drug deal. And in crack in time you possess a weapon that was discontinued and banned in 8 whole galaxies for being too dangerous. And the 1812 overture just feels like a giant "F You" to enemies cause you got something NO ONE ELSE in the game has

I think you forgot about the Harbinger from Deadlocked. That one counted as the description said being compared against the RYNO as Shellshock said. Anyway, all of the RYNOs are so badass, that they can pretty much demolish a boss in almost 30 seconds.

Idc what anyone says ryno 3 is the most op it’s basically thanos infinity gauntlet but you snap it as many times as you want. I’d pay a million dollars to see all these remastered on the ps5. Who else is with me on that at least
