  • The tool works famously. The holes about diamater 20 cm/8 inch don't pose any problem. This device has a lot of power to make hole about 25 cm/ 10 inch or even 30 cm/ 12 inch.
This project involved some work but the effect is better than we assumed. One thing which I should make is the extension of the drill so as to have the opportunity to drill deepest holes than 80 cm/ 32 inch.
The tools I use in this video:
    Self made:
Circular saw stand - • Change CIRCULAR SAW to...
    Belt grinder 2x48 - • DIY Belt Grinder 2x48"...
Vise - • Super Strong Hydraulic...
    and
    Circular saw EVOLUTION EVOSAW230

    Chain saw MAKITA EA4300F38C

    Two things.
    1. I read all comments but unfortunately I don't have time to answer for all of them ;/ Thanks for all kind words. It means a lot for me!
If you have some question, please check video description. Maybe there you can find what are you looking for :)
    2. There is a lot of question like this "Is that Alex Steel on the phone?" Yes, I watch Alex Steele and I really like his videos. :)

      Very well!
It would be great if you could do EVERYTHING with ONE device and just change the essay.
For example, if you were to build the chainsaw then adapters for say Belt sander, flex and much more to use, that would be great!

As a machinist for 25 plus years it is rare for me to learn something new. But here I did. I never thought of broaching a keyway on the lathe. Impressive. Pay attention youngsters it's skills like this that can get your butt out of almost any kind of jam if Pooh hits the fan. Salute!

I see all the comments about it's easier to go but one or cheaper. Well it's not always and cheaper or easier. Sometimes it's about using your skills and knowledge to create something and being able to say that you made it. And the fact that he made this makes it more valuable than any store bought piece. Keep making as long as you can!!!

  • @TheMadJoker87
    @TheMadJoker87 5 лет назад +6

amazing as always, and that hydraulic vise is one of the best and most useful tools i`ve seen in a while. one thing tho, you shouldnt use the lathe to carve the key slot like that, you`re putting to much pressure on the brass nut that moves it and it will wear out or break in no time.
an easier way to do it is to put a milling tool on the headstock and hold the piece on the tool holder, that way is much faster and it wont damage your lathe :D
