    @5:21 you can clearly see that the hole had been pre-dug and then filled in again. In other words, he faked it.

    Looks like the hole was already dug out at 5:22 and filled back in so you could use this tool to remove dirt with ease.

      Maybe its a tilled garden, this would be great for transplanting tomato, peppers, squash. Any plant with a large root ball.

  • @basshunter8206

    That was predug soil, so it was really soft for the auger to work. Near the bottom was firmer soil that's why it kept jumping around.

    Зубья пильного диска нужно развернуть в другую сторону, чтобы не цеплялось за корни. И снизу кусок сверла приварить по дереву на 40 мм

  • @HandyTim

    One thing that I noticed that you may not have. He drilled into already softened dirt. If he were to try to dig into hard dirt that thing wouldn't work so well

  • @fc3sbob
    @fc3sbob 6 лет назад +5

    look closely, he's digging in a mound of dirt, not the ground. So it's probably very loose to being with. I doubt that thing would make a hole in the actual ground without a lot of work. But good good idea!

    Необходимо сделать так,чтобы зубья диска были направлены в другую сторону.Не будут цепляться за корни и создавать лишнего сопротивления при бурении.

    • @fakenfak
      @fakenfak 5 лет назад

      Блин, а я так же сделал. Потом пошёл Ютуб смотреть, как другие делают, и да многие говорят зубьями в обратную сторону надо делать 😕
      В выходные доделаю свой бур и проверю как работает.

    The idea is brilliant, however it looked like a freshly dug hole were the mud had been put back.......can it be tested more thoroughly near a tree? see how it handles roots / stones etc

    • @Omahabigbill
      @Omahabigbill 6 лет назад +1

      Mark Rowley: The hole looks like it was pre-dug, and then they put the dirt back in the hole to make it seem like the drill auger worked great. Pause right after the job was completed.

  • @Seteclata
    @Seteclata 2 года назад +4

    It doesn't work, so it easily hangs on roots and rocks in the ground.
    Maybe it works without the teeth.

  • @bjtaudio
    @bjtaudio 6 лет назад +2

    For hard ground use a smaller 125mm blade, as the drill will not have enough torque. drill multiple holes in a group to make a big one. It will not work in clay and rocky soil, as the rocks will jam and stall the blade, and the clay will just clog it up and stick to it stopping it from cutting.

  • @billyjack8119

  • @biborski
    @biborski 4 года назад +14

    I can see the construction problem of the tool, the edge of blade is slicing first, it is not like drill bit do it, wrong construction, doctor DS, please make an upgrade and bend tool that center of blade dig first, then you dont need to rotate drill while digging, it will go down by itself, english is not my language. Evo konstruktivni komentar, ako smijem, treba smotati list pile tako da sredina prva ide u zemlju i reže zemlju, tako će ići u dubinu, ovako sama sebe ukopava, eto tema za drugi video, upgrade, svakako hvala za trud

  • @mikegrant8490
    @mikegrant8490 2 года назад +4

    That was great. Now, make one up that can bore down through at least 8 feet, with 12 feet being better, of heavy creek mud riddled with old broken tree limbs, pieces of broken concrete and plenty of other detritus from over 150 plus years of history including commercial tug and barge operations, warves and a Civil War encampment area with fortified artillery batteries and possibly a graveyard, so I can set new pilings for an existing pier? Can I expect to see it by Tuesday? Thanks, in advance...
    (Just kidding, but just this morning I was thinking of a way to do something similar to yours to expedite my project. You've helped my thought process, so thanks! )

    Looks good until you try that in my yard. You might get about a foot before you hit the shale, clay, and boulders. Cool ideal for good soil. I think so would have had my hole dug with my post hole digger in the time it too to make this though.

  • @ofreflection

    *Одна ошибка, диск нужно приварить зубьями в обратную сторону, чтобы не захватывали камни и не рубили их, а то возможен раскол диска. (One mistake, disk it is necessary to weld teeths in the opposite direction that didn't take stones and didn't cut them, and that split of a disk is possible.)*
