In previous videos, we made various woodworking machines such as wood chippers and splitters, but this time we decided to do something that would make cutting wood into blocks a lot easier.
A 2.2 kW / 3 HP motor is sufficient for such a device. Even with high pressure, the chain turns without any problem.
Thanks to the foldable structure, the whole thing is very maneuverable and does not take up much space.

As a retired Fab guy I must say that you are unbelievable. BTW Fab guys never really retire. We’re thinking of a better way all the time !!! Thanks for sharing your skills with the world
E' un tecnico professionista.
You and Diy Donn are the best RUclipsrs. No nonsense and straight to the point. 👍
Was also thinking it looked like the diy donn electric saw project 😁
@@TheStuartstardust He gave credit for the chain tensioner to Donn at 6:15. Both are brilliant makers. (hat tip)
This man is a real craftsman. Also, this is how these kind of videos should be made. No talk just the visual facts.
Your video editing skills are awesome! No stupid royality free RUclips music, the videos are sped up in all the right areas. Great job!
And no annoying click-bait title. Just plain and simple. I really like this style. Keep up the great work

Yes, 2 comments for 1 video. After watching you use the machine I just felt the need to say I think your videos are inspirational. It's good to see young(er than myself) people not afraid to work with their hands and make things to make life better. The last few generations seem to be moving to a buy-and-dispose mentality, when with a little effort things can be made, skills can be learned, and life can be improved.
I only wish I had 3 phase power! My electrical system was installed in 1927 and all I have is 15 amps at 120volts!
Great, love the saw and the splitter! Wish I had this when I was doing my small commercial firewood biz back in the day.

This isn’t a DIY job this needs a whole lot of machinery
Mind of a machinist never stops at quitting time. Proper thing, looks safe and quick with the small wood.
Nádhera. Radost pracovat s takovým vybavením díly.
A real pleasure to see a true mechanical engineer at work.
I smell an emergency room visit.
The speedy splitter is what could really make a great difference for a firewood machine I've been wanting to see someone build it
I loved the video. The machine itself wasn't terribly complicated, but the things that really impressed me were the simplicity of the oiler, and the attention to safety features that frankly I would have never even considered. Wonderful job.

Actually kind of stupid. Not many have the tools [machinery] needed to make this. If you can afford the machines, you can definitely afford a $1,000 dollar log cutting system. Reminds of a video similar to this where some guy used $80,000 at least in machinery and wasted two hours of his time to make a table clamp that you could pick up at Lowe’s for $15.
Okkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
..........,....mmmm

SUper robotę robisz i sie dzielisz, jedynie to mnie troche przejęło, że potrafisz się zapomnieć 2:13 powodzenia i jak najwięcej udanych projektów
That thing looks like a self neuter tool and a fire wood tool. A true 2 in 1.
w dobrym momencie zrobiłeś ten film. Niejednemu się przyda 💪✌️
I used to be a maintenance guy who had all these exact tools available to me. My company would have me build machines all the time. This looks exactly like how I used to work. Just like I did then, he needs a mill, a press brake, and a shear.
Yeah, actual sponsors hit up poland!
He has a mill
@@odl21
It seems odd that he made that slot with two drilled holes, a cutt-off wheel, and a die grinder. Maybe his mill isn't working right?
@@cornpop7805 he uses it in this video for something else! Die grinder probably just quicker than the set up on mill
@@odl21
Yeah, at 12:20 he used it to drill with. Maybe the table motion isn't working because the way he did it would have been much easier on the mill. I've done both and the manual way really sucks in comparison.
Stumbled across this and was impressed. The machine you built is nothing short of brilliant. Much respect to you and your inventive skill.

I really like your chaincover safety design! It's awesome!
Yeah, yeah ……I built two of those last week in my kitchen. Honestly, a skilled machinist like you is critical to the advancement of our society. Always has been always will be. Thanks for sharing your creativity and talent for everyone especially young people.

Awesome! I'd say if you had a drop table so the blocks wouldn't fall to the ground, and raise the splitter to a more comfortable height, you'd have the perfect setup!

Awesome workmanship! Your fabrication skills are off the "hook!"
Que trabalho lindo fantástico 👏👏👏
No takiemu zima nie straszna 😂 a tak całkiem serio to kolejny raz super wykonane. Fajnie się ogląda tak dopracowane projekty

Great build. You seemed to think of everything with that machine. Makes cutting wood a lot easier.
Well thought out design, excellent performance. Viewed for the second time. Thank you.
Awesome design and build! Thank you for your patience and understanding of how to make a great video and clear instructions without having to talk for me to clearly understand each step!

Excellent welding and fabrication skills. Thank you.🇨🇦
Only God could have blessed you with such wisdom and creativity. I hope you believe in him.
So good so far. 👍🏾😎
But there still is a danger with the free/open tip when you cat. You come too close to your thigh. You might want to extend the safety cover to prevent any injuries. 😉
I would also agree with this. The guards at the blade tip could be increased a bit. For most reasonable sized logs a shorter chain blade could also be selected.
So much better than most designs with very little that needs improving, certainly safer than cutting short logs all day holding the chainsaw by hand.
Brilliant Man, to hell with the complainers here one should do this or that ,congratulations on your ingenuity, love it !
Życzę bezpiecznej pracy i kolejnych dobrych pomysłów.pozdrawiam
love where the guy is standing in the opening seconds. No Fear !!😀
love how you made your own rollers with bearings, that's cool AF.
This will be great as all of your other builds are. 👍🏽
Absolutely great craftmanship!!!
The opening of this video.....if you are not careful you are going to cut your morning wood! Yikes!
Great job on that. Very Impressive!! I wish I had the tools and shop that you have.

Świetna maszyna. Z rębakiem bardzo dobry zestaw do przygotowania opału.
You always come up with something unique, usable and helpful. I absolutely love your videos.

Perfektní práce se vším všudy. Parádní vybavení dílny. Zdravím z Česka.
This man is a pro !Much respect for your work. You have made a super machine. Thanks for this video.
19:00 I'd want to see a longer guard dangling down from the blade cover - maybe 20-30cm so it won't be in the way when the blade is up, but then it could be protected even while cutting the largest log. Granted you're probably not going to fall forward into the machine while holding the button.
Very very cool build.
Edit: 18:54 could add a spring-loaded arm to hold down the wood that travels in the same axis as the handle to hold down the wood, then no hands near the blade.
About your proposal for a second spring-loaded arm , personally I would like that one operated by foot ( pedal) because after some time the operator will be stressed out for continuously stretching out two springs by just one arm . And for safety you could attach a first electrical contact on the log-restraining arm , and connect it ( serial) with the start button .
Jesteś gość, świetna robota👍
👍👍👍
That's a beautiful thing!
I often use my chainsaw to cut dimensional lumber for small projects, this is basically taking that to the next level and making a chop-saw, which can cut any kind of wood.
I don't believe the safety is there, but the function is.
It's an excellent, efficient, machine. Both his hands seem safe, but I think a hinged cover hanging off the end of the top black guard would provide more safety from the exposed end of the chainsaw.🙂
Couple of suggestion - blade guard should be taller than the blade and extend under it. You should also never cross your arm across the cutting line of the saw while the machine is energized - you can mitigate this by making the machine left hand operated, so you will have to withdraw your hand to make a cut - currently it looks very easy to cut off your left hand by mistake.
Very true, I saw that too.
Would be wise to turn the handle around so you are stood/working behind the blade, not in front of it?
Always a safety person, not building anything, with suggestions
@@Gregoman89shut it, millennial!
Is it just me, or would it have been a little more logical to make the handle and cutting pivot face AWAY from the user. Such that the saw is not facing the user. I know it's easier to pull down on something rather than push. Don't know, could be overthinking this but seems just a bit backward to me.
Awesome cutting bench. Ingenious design, quality craftsmanship. I want one.
You're the Boss and you're well tooled! Thanks.

Do you know that a 3-phase normal electrical motor can produce approx. 4 times its nominal power, which means your 2.2 kW motor gives approx. 9 kW if needed. Just ideal for cutting firewood. A few seconds lasting overload doesn't damage the motor. A longer lasting overload would overheat it.
This is why it would be a good idea to install a thermoelectric motor protector to protect the motor from overheating. I don't see one here.
Greetings from an electrical engineer.
Parabéns muito bom 👏👏👏
