I have been a car mechanic for almost 30years and I find these videos fantastic because I know nothing about trucks or trailer’s but it looks heavy and hard work. Best video’s on RUclips 🍺
👍😁 cheers Damian even my account looks at them mate 😂 all the best mate 🍻
What you’ve got to remember mate is that even if God posted a perfect 30 minute video some prick would have a moan about it. Some people are full time moaners and they genuinely get a buzz from bringing others down. 99% of comments I see are people same as me who just like the stuff you post. Keep it up and never change 👍.
In 1 comment you’ve managed to describe 95% of the U.K population 👍🇬🇧
2 uploads yes please, absolutely smashing this you tube game. Keep doing what you doing mate loving your videos
Chris wish ide an ounce of your energy and character. Legend.
The world's upside down backwards,,your skill and experience should be fecking well paid for .
I did a set of rear shoes and drums last night on an old 55 reg Scania. Both of the drums were seized on solid, to the point where all the jacking points either stripped out, or cracked open the drum. I had to sledge hammer them off, whilst my mate had a crow bar and scaffold tube behind the spigot. I thought to myself "I'm a professional struggler tonight". Keep up the good work mate.
collected a few of them sdc trailers around 2003-4 from bradder st in mansfield, you just done a masterclass in wheel bearings lad, geat stuff keep the language lad i love the craic its like being stood in front o the salamander in the garage at the end of the day listening to the fitters

Absolutely Keep doing what your doing, there always some A holes . You always put a smile on the rest of the people watching. Def jog on if your not happy. The rest of us are .happy days.
Hi Chris all I can say is keep them videos coming. And in life you should never ever have to explain yourself to no one. Top tip on how to pack a bearing with grease too. 👍
Me and my daughter were watching a documentary about bird strikes on aircraft. She said 'why would the birds being on strike cause a plane to crash'. Just thought I'd share that.
The discussion about the twig was truly informative thank you.
its nice to see a young man that knows what he is doing, old school mechanic
It's great watching you Chris your whit and humour makes any job you do worth watching. You always brighten up my day. Top man thankyou.keep them coming.
Great video Chris, ROR stands for Rubery Owen Rockwell, Rubery Owen is about 130 years old, started in Darlaston, Staffordshire. Factory that welded the spindles to the axles and built the axles was in Wrexham, now moved to Brazil; if anyone is interested.
Nice job.
I was a hgv mechanic for a haulage company when ROR Was on llay industrial estate wrexham. We were located a few hundred yards away on the same road. All our trailers had ROR axles.
@@garethjones8047 I worked installing new equipment at JCB Transmission in 89 I think, was that nearby do you know.
@@bostedtap8399 Jcb is still there now, its about 5 miles from where ROR was, but nowhere near as good a place to work as it used to be.
@@garethjones8047 Good to hear, JCB Rocester, Uttoxeter is not well thought of as well, allegedly!, all the best from the Black Country.
@@bostedtap8399 All the best to you Pal, from North Wales
Fair play to you mate .. I love watching your videos !! Always puts a smile on my face .. I have ms an had to give up work but hey ho I'm improveing so fingers crossed I can get back to work... Watching people like you makes me more determined !! Your personality is infectious in the good way lol ... Keep doing what you're doing fella 👌👍
Love it mate. Someone who aint afraid to lose one or two idiots telling you what to do. Keep it up Chris. You are brilliant.
Love your presenting style, I had years of doing pretty much the same as you’re doing. The job went all to pot when the fancy electronics came in 🤬. Most breakdowns occur now because of crap electrics. Keep up the good work Chris 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
At last! How effing refreshing to watch a real person/yootoober who says it nice and straight re negative comments etc. None of us are forced to watch, and if you don't like it, jog on and click on something else! I don't have a TV now. Got fed up with spending £100s a year for licences etc only to be presented with bilge such as I'm A Desperate British Got No Talent Celebrity/Attention Seeking Wannabe Who Can't Dance, Has No X Factor, Voice, Charisma And Wants To Get Out Of Big Brothers House blah yada. I prefer to watch real people doing real things whilst educating and entertaining us......
I was an HGV driver from 1990-2018, and for 9 years was an owner driver, although I always pulled other companies trailers. People like Chris kept my wheels turning throughout, which was always hugely appreciated.
This is my first visit to the channel, and it won't be the last. Cheers.
You can't please everyone on your tube . Your not the first person to say it. Just keep doing what your doing . And sod the ones that don't like it. Your doing a grand job 👏
Great Video Chris, looking forward to seeing more, good to see real life worker explaining. exactly how its done, and not all that stuff about ticking boxes with a high vis jacket on, just getting on with it, and putting up with it starting to rain as well, tough work, but keep up the good work.
Just subscribed to this chanel today . Stumbled on it by accident. I'm a dryer and washer technician and Home diy car mechanic. Different ball game but the thinking out the box is the same. Your a top guy love the videos
I’m not a qualified mechanic, but I work along with my brother and try to learn, I’m more interested in trucks and I enjoy the videos, very informative thank you.
Brilliant videos it’s good to see real people on RUclips that tell it as it is
Life has no frills Lee 🤣 it’s a struggle mate. Thanks for the comment pal and cheers for watching 👍
Best thing to do with people who moan about you is just completely ignore them, don't reply to them and don't even comment on them. They will soon move onto another channel to see if they can get a rise out of someone else. Keep up the good work Chris.
Professional strugglers we are matey. I work on trucks and trailers or Lorries in New Zealand. Just spend heaps on my time pulling a sized bearing on the SAF axle, yep designing a puller because the customer doesn't want to spend the money on a new hub and bearings but needs to get the drum off to replace the linings. Great video btw, keep up the good work, there's lots of strugglers out there too.
Chris i think your videos are fantastic my professional struggler dont know much about the mechanical side of H.G.V worked in them but watching your videos i learn a lot. If i was ever going to do what you do i would want you to teach me. Keep struggling and keep videos coming
Deadly M keep2em coming I love watching these. 48 and still learning. Love the banter with you and everyone don't let the .......bring you down
Just scroll up, ha excellent!! Always enjoy the videos just the way they are mate, no pretense, no BS just good honest struggling.
Don't worry about what people think mate, you keep doing what you are doing mate making memories ❤
I no nothing about cars, trucks ,mechanics, but watch Chris because he’s so funny it’s the best thing on RUclips keep up the great work Chris .
Keep these videos coming in a hgv mechanic to trade and every day is a school day I’ve learnt little tricks from watching your vids
Good on description on bearings, I have taught this type of stuff to aircraft landing wheel shops. Just for reference for tapered roller bearings outer races are called cups and inners are cones. Also its good to check the roller ends faces for scuffing and the rib for cracking. Recall that some planes which are turned too tightly would crack the ribs on the bearings.
Thanks home for that, cups and cones I shal make a mental note.....I’ve never had training! what I’ve told you there on that video is what I’ve picked up on over the years so it’s nice to here from someone has experience! Cheers home 👍
Been doing it for years that way Chris for washing machine bearings works a treat 👌
Chris rise above the armchair experts your subs are going through the roof because the channel is great with great content don't change anything we all love it cheers mate
Im Not even a lorry mechanic but enjoy your videos, keep up the good work chris
I could watch you reading the ingredients from a bottle of water
Absolute legend mate
Haha gotta love those people who tell ya what ya should be doing on ya channel 😂, We get it all the time. I watch loads of ya vids, but never comment coz I know ya a busy lad 😂 stay safe! 👍
Well said Chris, first of all you are the only one here that does what it says on the tin! If they don't like it ,they can jog on...I respect what you do. Am just gutted am not in your trade. But I have got and acquired 19 years experience in building and construction .
I,ll be more than happy to help out if needed .I have been struggling myself in my trade since recession 2009. I have been grafting then just to make ends meet. I completely understand you chris.
I’m learning loads from you and the comments! I’ll soon be a professional struggler
Idk man, it seems like you do quality work to me. Obviously you have to keep the train moving without fucking around. If it wasn't quality, you would have to go back and fix your work all the time. You work hard for your family and you seem to find time to record it which is impressive. Very skilled.
You'll be at 10k subs in a couple weeks at this rate. Rightly so. Channels a breath of fresh air. Get your mate to get the merch on the go and earn yourself so extra pennies.
I enjoy watching your videos, thank you for posting them .
Interesting to see more modern vehicles than I worked on 150 years ago.
chris we love your channel so that bloke that says there is nothing for him sounds like a troll, every thing you do is educational keep it up and ignore the moaners
Good explanation Chris.
Well said chris !! Woop Woop 30k subs 🎉🎉 much love from Dorset
Great videos mate , A nice wee trick I use for removing the full wheel and hub assembly out in the field is to have an old Long Vehicle plate with a bit of oil on it just have the wheel sitting on it and no more and the wheel slides off easily. Definitely save your back mate .
Really enjoy these videos, nothing like honest work 👌🏻👌🏻
There’s ya new T-Shirt Merch - Scroll the F up… 😏😁
Top answer from a top bloke. Keep doing what you do my friend. 👍
I have learnt a lot from your videos im not a mechanic but I find your video very interesting. Well done bud. 😃

I find your videos are brilliant Chris keep them coming 🚚🚜🚛⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Spot on pal your channel bloody brilliant
Needed a 41mm deep impact socket to do a ball joint. Ordered it up, used it, went to put it in my socket drawer, right next to the 41mm socket I already had .
😂😂 can never have to many 41mm sockets
It's not a mid life crisis unless you buy a boat or sports car ! (I'm looking for a boat), also can you teach us some tricks or hacks for easier welding ? Love watching your vids to see the way you do things, I used to be an agri mechanic. If only you and RUclips were around back then ! Keep em coming bud.
Great Video Chris, just keep doing what your doing. Very entertaining to watch.

Hi Chris, for someone starting out in the trade you videos are brilliant.
Carry on the way you are
Anyone not happy sod em
Regards Frank
Great video Chris
Keep doing what your doing your a legend
I love learning
Chris please put the guard back on your grinder and wear some specs, when grinder discs shatter they are lethal! The 1mm discs in particular are prone to breaking.
Don't know what you were watching. Where Chris was showing how to cut the decking plank fasteners the grinder HAD a guard on, as did the smaller grinder sitting on the deck, and Chris was wearing safety glasses.
@@ItAlwaysHasToBePerfect Yes, but I'm talking about removal of the mud guard.
Interesting video Chris . Keep them coming 👍
You make , life easier, TOP MAN 😎
Thoroughly enjoy the content mate. I'm a qualified maintenance fitter! dreaming of a job in the HGV game! Keep up the content mate!

Nice technique using the old race to fit the new one I usually use a little brass bar and can be a pain getting it started sometimes
Brilliant two in one night bring on more pal

hiua chris. to pack bearings i used an air greaser wit a volvo door hinge greaser end on it. one psst between each roller fully greased bearing, half the time. sorted man.
from a now retired (thankfully) trailer tech. love the craick man
Funny how we focus on 1 negative comment but have 1000 positive comments , don’t feed them with a reply they ain’t worth your time . Cheers mate .
These a great vids. Fair play. Serious operator haha
Crack on Chris mate... I used to look after fleet of walking floor trailers them Ror were regular for bearing collapse
Halfway through before I realised you were taking a disc hub off and not a shoe hub....im assuming that I need to find a different video. Cheers for being an easy watch though. 🙂👍
Chris your content is great take no notice of the naysayers whoo whoo😂
Love the channel keep doing what you’re doing
Bigger you get the more haters appear Chris, RUclips is terrible for it. I love the vids which ever way mate, you are first class! If you get on the computer and at the end of a certain persons comment, on the right side you should see 3 dots, If you click them it will bring up a box and you can click "Hide User From Channel" and you shall simply never see them again, its brilliant! Take care pal!
Top man Chris 100% right
good old rant mate. well said. top video as usual

I wish I could send Chris a ½" Milwaukee impact gun, he'd wonder why he didn't have one sooner. I'll take quantity over quality, talk about that twig every friggin day mate, I'll be right here listening. 😆
Best thing I've bought is the Milwaukee impact gun.
Never failed me yet!
@@Melton175 Wicked, I used mine all day today, I was changing the block heater on a C15 CAT engine, couldn't get a swing with a ratchet, stuffed the gun in there one Zapp and Bob's your nephew.
