I never have and still dont understand why you and so many MCU fans go about, "Do we NEED this movie/series?" Has Phase 1 to 3 not taught you guys to be PATIENT and let Marvel Studios introduce new characters, like they did with Black Panther, Dr Strange, Antman, etc, and flesh out new stories in the MCU universe so they can properly build back up to the next Avengers films. Its like you guys want them to take the DCEU route and just jump to a major team up movie. MCU fans dont NEED anything, they WANT everything.

Very well said! I’ve been saying this exact same thing and no one gets it, no one wants to admit that a step down after endgame had to happen and we are slowly building it back up for another epic event and plus this this show looks amazing and the MA rating was a surprise along with a tonal match with the Netflix series

Exactly. They need to flesh out the universe. Introduce characters that not many people know about like they did with Iron Man, The GOTG, etc.

Phase 4 was introducing a lot of those characters like eternals (which actually isn’t that bad of a movie), yelena (great character in an okay movie), Shang chi (banger), ms marvel( good show), Kate bishop (good show), moon knight (good show), and she hulk (bad show)… and yes there’s been a few other bad projects (love and thunder and secret invasion) but the point is they literally doubled the amount of titles that marvel had in its first 10 years in a matter of about 2 and a half years… so yes a lot of stories were told and characters introduced.. and all that being said, I can deal with some bad shows and a couple okay movies because I see the overall agenda here! And marvel is cutting it back a bit which is good and they’re focusing more on quality moving forward.. but not starting with the marvels, all of these characters we’ve seen we are about to see again and interconnect with some other things theyve set up and every character is about to deal with the multiverse in a bunch of different ways… and then phase 6 is gonna be wild
We've been saying that we want more darker and grittier stuff from the MCU, and I have no doubt in my mind that this show is gonna _deliver_ on that promise!!! Also, Kingpin coming back is always a treat.

the fact that the Echo show has writers from Daredevil, Stranger Things, and Better Call Saul (as the show runner too) has to mean if this show is somehow bad, i couldn't tell you where it went wrong. there's no way this show isn't incredible with all the talent behind it

marvel saw the variety article, how everyone said they were done and was like, "OH YEAH? WE DECIDE WHEN WE'RE DONE, we're gonna change everyone's mind in a day"
They really released that article right after GOTG 3 and Loki season 2 came out.

I’m very excited that marvel is now taking an MA route now. This allows for so much of the darker characters to be what they should. We got Deadpool 3 and blade that will be R. And most likely a midnight sons show/movie

I hate the “is this needed” argument. Yes it’s needed, it’s building up the street-level side of the MCU. Nothing wrong with that. Ik it’s not the same, but I remember people being like, “who asked for this” when Guardians was announced. Marvel need to work on a lot of things, but steps towards building up this corner of the MCU feels like a step in the right direction to me.
When I saw two security guards wrapping up a dead body in plastic sheet, it gave me Daredevil S3 vibes.
It also give me defenders vibes
That really what made me like the NF Shows the street level heroes and the mature rating

Actually, if you haven't heard, Daredevil Born Again is getting a massive overhaul. During the strikes Marvel watched the six episodes that were finished and decided that it wasn't enough like the Netflix show, so they completely trashed everything, fired the writers, fired the directors, and are starting from scratch. However, the show has been changed from one 18 episode season to two 12 episode seasons. And they've finally given shows showrunners, meaning they can start to make the shows how shows are usually made. Now I've actually liked all the shows so far. Some more than others. But it's obvious that even ignoring production issues, the shows often felt disjointed due to their lack of direction. They often felt like multiple creative visions rather than a single creative vision carried out by multiple people.
Let them tell stories everything doesn’t have to be “necessary”.

For one they’ve had a lot of things just not work in their favor, a pandemic, a strike, the death of one of their star leads, as well as just requiring time to figure out how best to integrate the characters they’ve only recently gotten the rights to. On one hand they’ve been trying to set up things for a future we just haven’t reached yet. On another hand if they’d cut as much content as you all think they should have the massive drought of Marvel content would have been no better. You all are just massively impatient, and entirely too uptight about every little creative decision. You hold characters hostage and don’t allow them the freedom to just try new things. Lastly internet culture is just too damn volatile and hyperbolic so everything is either the best thing ever or the worst possible decision when the truth is almost never either case. Just relax, these are supposed to just be fun stories and 95% of them are.

Everyone saying "What is the need for this show" again and again including you, and we just gonna forget the fact that marvel is creating it's grounded gritty side along with its multiverseal one? I don't get the hate for this show it is not even out yet my guy let it come out .. A lot of people randomly talking shit about this show even before there was any footage of this show. I was genuinely interested in this show when it announced and the trailer made me happy because the things I hear people say about this show made me question my interest. This looks good

Im all for Marvel using lesser knowns rather rehashing the big names over and over. As for being mature, I dont see how that really impacts the quality overall. Iron Fist was MA and look what happened.
Echo was a good character, BUT, if we had someone like kingpin have a show, and get newly introduced, With Daredevil as a hero, then that could work. But like you said, I will also take an L if it is god.

I wanna ask something from everyone, are the Black Panther, Iron Man 2 & 3, and Thor 2 worthless? Why is there a sudden sentiment that if the focus of this saga is Multiverse then everything they do should be related to it?
Black Panther introduced us to Wakanda which was important.
Iron man 2 & 3 are about the main man of the MCU
And Thor 2 had an infinity stone
So all 4 are pretty important.
thor 2 was the first time in the mcu that an infinity stone was explicitly mentioned,
iron man 2 introduced black widow who is important to the avengers and captain america the winter soldier,
phase one movies get a pass in general since they were building towards avengers, not infinity war.
in phase 4-5 shang chi, eternals, moon knight, falcon and the winter soldier, hawkeye, gotg vol.3 black widow, wukanda forever, she hulk, love and thunder, arguably far from home, and secret invasion have had nothing to build up the multiverse saga, only
multiverse of madness, no way home, loki and quantumania have had multiverse stuff, you might be able to toss in wandavision since that built towards M.O.M, what if? does not count since that is a mostly seperate show that no one seems to talk about same with werewolf by night,
compare that to the infinity saga,
phase one built towards the avengers, thanos was teased at the end of the avengers,
thor the dark world introduced an infinity stone,
guardians of the galaxy introduced an infinity stone,
the ant man movies introduced the concept of the quantum realm which was key to the time travel in endgame,
age of ultron set up the infinity stones further by introducing the mind stone and the visions that thor had,
civil war is dubious since it split up the avengers but was not directly part of the infinity saga build,
spiderman homecoming is not all that important, mostly self contained, gotg vol.2 is similar in that aspect
ragnarok crippled asguard so thanos could take the tesseract from them easily but other than that, not too important.
black panther introduced wukanda which was a key location in infinity war,
doctor strange introduced another infinity stone,
captain marvel is kinda self contained other than serving as a orgin to the lady who saved tony stark and nebula,
i think i have all of the infinity saga here, most of these are important, i cannot imagine how hawkeye or the eternals or moon knight or she hulk, or secret invasion will be vital to the multiverse saga, marvel has doubled their output in phase 4 and 5 while halfing the importance of projects,
maybe ms marvel and the marvels will be important but i will reserve judgement until later this month

I am a true marvel nerd. This is Bob in Connecticut. I cannot wait for Echo, of course daredevil even the marvels.. most of all everybody is waiting for the return of the punisher that is by far the best marvel TV show no question about it. Of course, the punisher will be in daredevil born again and then they will be doing season three on Disney+.. Jesus Christ everybody is pissed off at Captain Marvel. That’s total bullshit doesn’t anybody wake up and smell the coffee. The first captain marvel made over $1 billion.. everyone expects every marvel movie to make that or more. That’s reaching for the stars.. the only time I get pissed off is when the movie or a show is comedic or should I say campy. Which is she Hulk and Thor love and thunder.. everything else is great in my opinion even the eternal’s secret invasion . Just wait for the X-Men X-Men are taking over the world shortly.. I don’t see how so many people on RUclips are still very ignorant because everyone would have a small fortune if they purchased the first appearances of the characters about the time Iron Man came out. Everyone would have a brand new Corvette, or a dodge challenger, hellcat, and lots of money to spare..MUTANT AND PROUD. Everyone who’s reading this should go on eBay ASAP and pick up the best copy of X-Men. 1 that you can afford.. I got lucky because I got a RAW copy years ago for only $300 it came back 7.0 which is worth about $30,000 about two years ago you could get $60,000 for that during Covid.. anyway good luck with everything I always watch your content
my answer to the whole “do we really need this?” question will always be yes, because the mcu is a Cinematic Universe. it’s always growing and expanding and especially after endgame it’s moving towards a new era of heroes/villains. and the only way for a cinematic universe to expand is to take time to focus on those characters people aren’t as interest in. otherwise, we’ll have a universe of blank, undeveloped slates
i just want this show to be good, secret invasion looked to be a more mature show but that show kinda sucked
