A perfect world would be if we get a blend of PG-13 and TV-MA projects going forward as they're capable of it now. Hope Echo does well or Disney will think we don't want TV-MA but we ABSOLUTELY DO! Daredevil for TV-MA!

I think Marvel finally listened to it's audience! We need these "Daredevil" connections to have a grit to the shows. It needs to be like Netflix's Daredevil!
I hope so but from what I have seen about behind the scenes and how director talks it does not look good. It might be like secret invasion situation. The show had a trailer that looked good but the show itself sucked.
@@gandalainsley6467 Cmon. Secret Invasion trailer "looked good"? xd It already hinted at bland and vague boring fest we will get. Here at least we have dynamic relation with Maya, between good (Daredevil) and evil (Kingpin). Secret Invasion of the start had none of that. It peaked with Talos sacrifice. After that it was just borefest.
@@kptmaci4979 I don't even know what Talos sacrifice is.(I either forgot it or I did not get that far because I have not been watching marvel shows and movies for last couple years. Last marvel show I liked was Hawkeye. ). The reason I say it looks it could actually suck is how director talked about the show and whenever I have seen movies/tv shows promoted that way they suck because there is nothing else in there. Director said that comic book version of Echo is dumb and the most important thing in Echo tv show is diversity and Echo's Native American heritage.(also if you pay attention all the bad guys are white and it looked like Echo will break Wilson's neck without having any injuries so I would not be surprised if Wilson will be easily beaten by her. I will still check it out but my expectations are very low.)
@@gandalainsley6467 I dont agree with your take on the diversity issue, but I do think people are getting way too hyped for this. Like this is the first good trailer Marvel has put out lol. We've all seen great trailers for something that ended up being a shitshow, so why not just wait and see how this goes.
Also, this show will get a much lower viewcount than other Marvel shows just because of it's TV-MA rating. Let's just hope Disney is prepared for that.
@@Sm0kingGun I don't care for diversity(like have it if you want it. Like when diversity is done correctly you don't even notice it.) but when emphasis is put on it and that its the most important part its just because usually there is nothing else there. Like for example there is a show called twisted metal. It has diversity and political undertones(one point annoyed me because it made no sense. Latino guy got shot by a white cop and he said this is maga town. In the show world ended in 2000s. I know the make America great again is an old slogan but it still makes no sense because nobody had connected it with Mexicans in any way until Trump became a president and the world had ended in the show before that happened) but you don't even notice it that much because show does not make everything about it. One piece live action has obvious diversity thing but again you don't notice it because its not turned into a big deal.(you do notice that there is black people showed everywhere when Zoro shows up but its a running joke in fandom that Zoro is racist and hates black people and Matt Owens(one of the creators of the show) finds it funny)
Hopefully we will get lots more under the Marvel Spotlight banner, such as Daredevil, Blade, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Ghost Rider and Punisher 😳

I don't understand why everyone keeps slandering Kingpins cameo in Hawkeye? He was the big bad of the whole show. He was the reason Hawkeye had to come out of retirement. He was the reason Clint's wife was worried to death. He had Echo's father killed. He almost killed Kate! What more do you need from a super villain in a cameo roll?!
He felt like a completely different character from what he was in the Netflix show. Same thing with Daredevil in She-Hulk. It's completely understandable if people weren't happy with that since they kept the original actors. It was almost as jarring as if they'd kept Tobey Maguire in all the Spider-Man movies and kept the writing as-is.
This series looks awesome!
every native comic fan knows who echo is, just like we know who red wolf and war path are. that is a built in audience.
They don't "want" your audience because they've already got your audience. They want general public and the masses.

Thank you so much for this reaction to the trailer of Echo, Robert and Vanessa, even if you were always, as usual, Late to the Party. ;)
Glad Echo’s rated TV-MA, and it’s apparently in the first a new MCU branding for Marvel Studios called Marvel Spotlight, which is described as a new way to tell grounded, street-level stories in the MCU, which, to me, is a good sign that Daredevil: Born Again will be rated TV-MA, along with Marvel Zombies already confirmed to be rated TV-MA too.
And this may even mean Blade will be Rated R, especially with Deadpool 3 confirmed being Rated R, too.
Can't wait to see all your reactions to this 5-episode series.
I'm really excited about this, i think there's only 5 or 6 episodes, so I'm glad they're dropping all the episodes. Having this come out shortly after Flower Moon, I glad there's more stories and cinema highlighting Indigenous culture and having some of the same actors. If Graham Greene shows up....10/10 😂

I don’t mind if ppl thinks the MCU is struggling a bit but if this is marvel at their worst then they’ll be fine. Phase 4 box office made 5.8 billion dollars and they only released seven films. Look at the DCEU for context. Their entire DCEU universe box office is 6.7 billion and they made 14 films. If anybody can fix marvel studios it’s Kevin feige 💯

I’ve seen all these Marvel/Disney hate videos saying how they are just not making money because no one is watching their movies anymore since Marvel is dead… I’m shaking my head, these haters wish Marvel and Disney were failing.
It blows my mind with how skewed of a mind set these people have to think abc is doing horribly and xyz is amazing, but it’s completely opposite!

2021 was also a Marvelous year if you ask me, what with Shang Chi, No Way Home, WandaVision, TFATWS, and Loki S1.

What gives me hope for this series, is they cancelled the Daredevil series and will redo it. It was known they made a PG version of Daredevil that was filmed. Bob Iger said this was a mistake so cancelled that softer Daredevil show. They didn’t cancel this show, so it means it is more inline with Marvel Netflix shows and they will remake Daredevil more in the mature tone of this show. There are rumours both Daredevil and Punisher will be in this show.
The *darker elements* of Marvel Comics should be incorporated into the MCU. The recent direction of Disney+ has not resonated with all fans. It would be interesting to see Marvel produce live-action adaptations of grittier comics like Absolute Carnage, Hulk: The End, Marvel Zombies, The Punisher: The End, Immortal Hulk Vs. The Abomination, Daredevil Vs. Lady Bullseye, and Deadpool Kills The Entire Marvel Universe. These stories, full of intensity and violence, could add a new dimension to the MCU.
I am actually excited for this one. I have a feeling this will be a sleeper hit of Disney/Marvel. Was that guy from Ant-Man and The Wasp in the trailer too? They guy that Hope is trying to make a deal with at the beginning of the movie?

I really enjoyed the trailer and am looking forward to the show even more than I was. I liked Echo in Hawkeye and thought Alaqua Cox did a great job in her acting debut.
I am actually not a big Daredevil or Kingpin fan, but I am always down for watching Big Vinnie D give an excellent performance, while also looking sexy as hell

I don’t know, Robert. Based on what I heard about Echo, there will be a scene in this series set during Season 2 of Daredevil that implies that series is official MCU canon.
We'd be totally cool if they kept all the Netflix stuff canon.

I actually have hope for this show for a few reasons.
1. Kingpin, obviously lol.
2. It's more focused on itself under this new Spotlight division, rather then focused on MCU continuity.
3. It's TV-MA, which opens many doors.
4. Their *head* writer is just coming off the heels of working on 5 seasons of Better Call Saul.

Marvel phrase 5 from TVA to A,TV to TV-MA 🤣
Marvel has been scrambling because they spent YEARS planning Phases 4-6 only for their plan to be obliterated last-minute by forces outside their control. Their ORIGINAL post-Endgame plans revolved around a new "trinity" of characters to replace franchise mainstays Iron Man, Cap & Black Widow (all of whom were leaving after Endgame).
The recent book "MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios" explains it in detail. The original plan was for Black Panther, Spider-Man and Captain Marvel to anchor the next chapter of the MCU. While filming Endgame, Chadwick Boseman, Tom Holland and Brie Larson often sat around and discussed their excitement over the future of the MCU and how they would be carrying the torch together, but then a series of unfortunate events destroyed those plans completely and left Feige and Marvel reeling. Between Covid, Chadwick's sudden death, Sony pulling out the rug from underneath Disney with their Spider-Man sharing agreement and the toxic responses to Captain Marvel, the entire plan imploded and Marvel was left trying to save the little they could and completely pivot and improvise the rest. THAT is why Phase 4 has been all over the place, with no clear direction. Their original plans blew up and they had to try to adjust on the fly.
