I agree. All the other Marvel TV series are just battling for 3rd, DD and Punisher are tough to beat at 1st and 2nd especially on how Disney is handling Marvel right now 😂
Yo please don't stop the series in halfway for any circumstances. I really want you to finish this series. You won't regret it. I'm too exited for this 🥰
This is one of the best comic book shows I've ever seen as a big Daredevil fan from the comics The way it does justice to the characters and stories it adapts while still adding its own spin and take on things is amazing Please keep with it
Hey there, I just wanted to say congrats on starting this amazing show and let you know there were some other series that connect with this one. They were Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders. I recommend you check out each of the series before Daredevil Season 3. That way you won't be confused with what happens in the opening segment. The order lots of people recommend would be Daredevil Season 1 Jessica Jones Season 1 Daredevil Season 2 Luke Cage Season 1 Iron Fist Season 1 The Defenders Daredevil Season 3. You can also check out The Punisher series and any of the other seasons after The Defenders. If you want that is.
Can I just say I absolutely love the opening because of how it quietly brings in that heartbeat sound and then end with just that heart beat and no instrumental
8:24 "The Incident" refers to Loki's attack on New York in the first Avengers movie. This show is set a few months after that event and the show will keep making little references to the MCU here and there.
PLEASE DONT DROP THE SHOW AND MAKE SURE U WATCH SEASON 3 , this is the third or fourth channel ive been watching Daredevil reactions and none still made it to season 3 which is absolute PEAK
this show is amazing, I loved the audio quality in season 2, or in general just the way it got incorporated. Id love if you'd watch Moonkinght as well, or maybe Punisher!
Daredevil is so good. Personally my favorite marvel show ever. Just from an impact and cinematography stand point. The story is mostly solid and lets place for overall thinking about beliefs (religious or not) and morals
Daredevil has some of the best fight choreography in the MCU. Netflix was in their bag for Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage. For a while, everyone has been hoping to see them in the major MCU movies because they are such good characters with such great stories. They would be so easy to weave into the story because of all their comic book connections and stories.
In the comics ( in Mark Millar's Wolverine run) Wolverine decribed how crazy heightened Daredevil's senses--can hear a literal pin drop, in New York, from over 6 blocks away. All his senses are dialed up to a billy--can hear your bones when you move. Smell what you ate for dinner last night from outside the room you're in. Bro is legit😂
Charlie Cox the person who plays dare devil in this show got specially made contact lenses that would actually block his sight, he lived with them in for a while to pick up on how blind people actually move and act for this role.
I would love an episode 2, along with the entirety of the Defenders Saga. Good AND Bad, I think its worth a watch. Jessica Jones is great early on. I think you would really enjoy Luke Cage. The Punisher is the R rated Marvel content people have been asking for, and the team-up mini series was fun to watch. It was only Iron Fist that was underwhelming and cringy, but if you have that mindset going in, it can be fun to make fun of. This can easily fill out your watch catalogue for the next year or two at your watch pace, so you'll never be out of Marvel content to watch between the current releases.
For reference "the incident" was the first avengers movie. The battle of new york. And Hells Kitchen is just an area of New York, like Brooklyn, Queens etc.
super excited to see you getting into my favorite superhero show!!! I didn't like karen at first either but she's grown on me and now she's one of my favorite characters!! and be sure to stick around for season 3 because it's by far the best season of any show I've ever seen.
So Hells kitchen is a burrow in New York and this is pretty much after the events of Avengers (2012) which is why they reference the chaos and destruction in New York so much. Loki fucked shit up.
People once recommended the show "Arrow", it's from DC Comics about the Green Arrow hero. This Daredevil show reminds me about it, both dark, rough past, balancing a normal life, with the exception that the Green Arrow doesn't have any powers. I'm think you'll like this just as much and with the other shows you'll also have good introductions to other DC characters.
From WIKI: Hell's Kitchen, also known as Clinton, is a neighborhood on the West Side of Midtown Manhattan in New York City, United States. It is considered to be bordered by 34th Street (or 41st Street) to the south, 59th Street to the north, Eighth Avenue to the east, and the Hudson River to the west. Regarding the destruction of the area, this was after the invasion of Loki and the aliens as seen in the first Avengers movie.
daredevil has its own universe where it crosses over with other shows daredevil season 1 jessica jones season 1 daredevil season 2 luke cage season 1 iron fist season 1 the defenders season 1 (crossover of all shows) the punisher season 1 jessica jones season 2 lucke cage season 2 iron fist season 2 daredevil season 3 the punisher season 2 jessica jones season 2
hell's kitchen is an actual place in new york and the incident of death and destruction from the sky was the battle of new york in 2012, the first avengers movie. Back when daredevil came out it was loosely connected to the MCU via netflix
Hell's Kitchen is a small section of Manhattan roughly 15 blocks long and 4 avenues wide. The "Incident" the estate agent mentioned was a reference to the first Avengers movie. There was an ongoing effort to imply the Netflix Marvel shows existed in the same universe as the MCU films. In later series, every now and again were sprinkled MCU references; a flying hammer, Avengers cosplay, Avengers mentioned using obvious nicknames. The Tea: At the time, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist all took place in the same continuity as the MCU. After some testy office politics resulted in key ousters and the Netflix license expired giving Marvel full control of all 4 characters again, Feige was ambiguous about the future of their MCU inclusion. Supposedly, he wasn't taken with the performance of every actor that was cast in the titular role of each respective show.
The incident they keep referring to is the attack on New York (the first Avengers movie we got). And Hell's Kitchen is a real neighborhood in New York.
This show has some really epic moments. A LOT of superhero stuff has been released since then, but when this came out, I remember it felt groundbreaking for TV in the way that Nolan's Batman changed what we could expect from the genre in cinema. Also, it has one of the best villain performances I've seen of any superhero franchise. I think the show has its flaws, but it's totally worth the ride.
the writers picked up a few lessons from nolan that we can see for example in dd's fight with the human traffickers. it's filmed much like batman's introductory fight with falcone's thugs but with a few changes -- this episode gives a much clearer view of dd and his fighting style while nolan preferred that we barely see batman at all.
From my understanding, because this came out around 2015, this is set around the same time period as 2015 MCU so the destruction of NY would've been the first avengers movie. That being said, because this technically wasn't part of the mcu at the time, any references to the mcu had to be made without directly naming characters in the mcu for what i assume to be legal reasons. Also Hell's Kitchen is an area/neighbourhood in New York (i learnt this while watching the show too lol)
Hey don Hell’s Kitchen is a part of Manhattan in New York and this takes place after the first avengers movie when Loki invaded New York. Much love and keep up the reactions!
Fun Fact: Charlie Cox lost a role in the last Star Wars trilogy because of his role in this. He went to audition, then they asked him why he wasn't looking at anyone, and he realised he'd been acting like he was blind, out of habit. (This was before Rogue One was made with a blind character, so I love the idea that the failed audition may have sparked an idea for the future)
Btw hells kitchen is the actual name of the location they are in. Also i am pretty sure the whole new york incident is the avengers loki attack but i am not entirely certain.
This is why, if you commit to watching a franchise, you watch the entire franchise and every movie and show in it. And not just discard parts of it because you don't feel like it or think it isn't important. So many parts of this show are now coming back into the main MCU that you cannot afford to not know about this show. And that will also be true for all the series that are coming out now that you're not watching.
Dude this is the dumbest takes. Especially about a comic property You can absolutely jump in and pick and choose parts. Not every thing comes back. The Runaways aren't. Cloak and Dagger aren't. No one of the other Defenders will either. You're talking out of your ass.
“Daredevil” was immediately the best superhero show ever when it came out. Before Daredevil it was “Person of Interest” which needed time to ramp up a couple seasons.
Man, your selection of shows is awsome. But I'd give you a small suggestion of watching 1 or 2 shows at a time and starting a new one after yoi complete the previous ones. I've been waiting for your breaking bad and the boys reaction for weeks, and here you've started a new show. It's a small suggestion from my side. Love your vids ❤

Daredevil is my favorite hero in comics and this show is the best superhero show ever in my opinion. I love it so much . I can' wait to see Daredevil Born Again but i doubt it will be that good. Please keep watching. You will not regret.
I’m so excited for you to start ninjago season 2 as it’s VERY good towards the end and I’ve told a lot of people you are going to post it so they have now subscribed
Alright Don, Hell's Kitchen is the area of new York that they are in (like Harlem). The incident is the events of The Avengers where New York was attacked by Loki. However, because they don't have the rights to use the Avengers, they can reference it but not outright say "The Chitauri came from a hole in space made by Loki and fought The Avengers".
Daredevil is crazy op when it comes to hand to hand situations, his senses are all heightened to a superhuman level but he’s peak human physically, his atom induced radar sense is actually better in a lot of ways than spider man’s spidey sense because the radiation waves he emits from his body paint a picture of his surroundings in his head so he can literally see everything around him, he’s awesome
Also Daredevil is coming back to the MCU thanks to Moon Knight :D Moon Knight was Disney's official attempt at a more mature rated show. Disney+ started their 14+ because of Moon Knight and the Netflix Marvel shows were brought to Disney+ right after Moon Knight aired. Although Moon Knight was still not as graphic as Daredevil was, it was more of a middle ground between the Gen/13+ marvel stuff and the R rated stuff. Hopefully season 2 of Moon Knight will push it a little further to be on par with Daredevil, it'd fit the show really well.
One of my fave Marvel Characters, here you go Don maybe this will help in giving you an idea of the powers DD has and to answer your question the reason why he can dodge and stuff still is cause in a way he still can see with one of the powers listed below which is having echolocative radar. Hopefully you will check out She-Hulk cause he is in there as well and to me I think they did an amazing job with his character in the show Superhuman agility, reflexes, stamina, senses, coordination, and balance Echolocative radar sense Expert martial artist, hand-to-hand combatant, and stick fighter Expertise in criminology, criminal law, and police procedures Utilizes billy club with multi-purpose functions Expert acrobat and gymnast
