Can you guys please react to the movies Sister Act 1&2. Not horror but if you love music and whoopi Goldberg and comedies, they're great 90s movies. Sister Act 2 is my absolute favorite
I was looking forward to seeing this movie because of the positive reviews of Hugh Grant’s performance, and I did go see it in the theater, On the plus side, I liked all three main actors, and I thought the two young women missionary characters were not one dimensional. Before Hugh Grant became a RomCom star, he was already quite a good actor. He did not disappoint me in this movie, but I found the movie as a whole a bit predictable and underwhelming. The insights about religion might seem new to young people, but they aren’t all that original. Anyone who has studied the history of religion knows that there are many similarities in different religions, for instance, dying and rising gods. Some of it is basic anthropology. In that vein, I found the title rather pretentious, since Grant’s character was more of a garden variety serial killer and abuser of women than a heretic. The term heretic usually implies that there is some courage involved in going against religious tradition. I don’t think that applies to Grant’s character. It doesn’t take courage to be a sadistic murderer,
I don’t think Grant’s character is meant to be the “heretic”! I think it’s implied the sisters are. One for her more modern view of religion (borderline coming across as maybe not being a big believe) having birth control etc, and the other for having the courage to say she KNOWS there are aspects of the faith that aren’t real (like prayer) but defends it anyways.
@@LLJourney09 I thought it was fairly clear that Grant’s character was meant to be the heretic, because he was challenging the two young women’s religious beliefs. I don’t think his victims were the heretics. They were well-rounded characters but they were not questioning their own religious traditions.
@@FilmBuff54 And thus they were heretics. If people make "updates" to their religions to make them more palatable, then they are partaking in heresy :)
@@MyUniqueVibe I think you have an overly broad definition of heresy. Only very fundamentalist strains of religion accuse adherents who deviate in any way from rigid doctrines of being heretics. Most religions have fundamentalist branches, conservative branches, reformed branches and progressive branches. Fundamentalists might believe that everyone who isn’t a fundamentalist is a heretic, but most religions make room for variations in practice and doctrine. The two young women in the story might be viewed by fundamentalists as heretical, but that does not make them so. My interpretation of the story is that it’s about a killer trying to dignify his actions by pretending that they have some deeper meaning or purpose.
This movie was fun to watch in theatres if you’re the type of nerd who constantly predicts plots and theme, luckily I’m that type of nerd. Reminded me of the Truman show kinds
Sad part is the sister might have gotten the birth control implant for her mission in cases like this movie where she didn't want to get pregnant via assault.
@@KingpintheI mean, not necessarily. Again, like a lot of things in the movie, it's up to interpretation. There have been stories of Sister missionaries being sexually assaulted while on mission. That's why they pulled Sister Missionaries out of South Africa for example.
the blonde sister said that if she was a butterfly, after she was gone she'd land on the hand of her loved ones. maybe it is her friend.
If you realize, her phone still says no signal even though she has left the house.

I feel as though you guys would really enjoy watching an episode of Inside No. 9
the SAW edit tho 😂
Since Christmas is coming soon, i'm hoping you guys react to Better Watch Out (2016). Pugapillar reacted to it a couple years ago and he would be the first to tell you to go into it knowing absolutely nothing other than that there's a mid credit scene
Love this movie!
Oooouuuu blink twice should be on the list
Do you guys think she actually made it out? It seems hard to believe she got up and killed him.
Idk..her phone still says no signal even though she has left the house.
I've seen people point out that when he was digging through her arm for the contraceptive, she wasn't really bleeding much, indicating her heart stopped pumping. which could show that to be a hallucination
@@TommyDay-kq1jj To be fair, the snow could've caused a tower near his place to be down.
@abbyanderson2463 Good observation! I do believe she did not make it out, it all seemed too much like a perfect little fantasy ending.
All died
React to SPLIT😊
Just heard of a movie called The Deliverance, think you might like it, scary.
Can you guys please react to the movies Sister Act 1&2. Not horror but if you love music and whoopi Goldberg and comedies, they're great 90s movies. Sister Act 2 is my absolute favorite
I was looking forward to seeing this movie because of the positive reviews of Hugh Grant’s performance, and I did go see it in the theater,
On the plus side, I liked all three main actors, and I thought the two young women missionary characters were not one dimensional.
I took it a bit like the whole movie was leading up to the creation of a heretic @@FilmBuff54
Such a good movie
This movie was fun to watch in theatres if you’re the type of nerd who constantly predicts plots and theme, luckily I’m that type of nerd. Reminded me of the Truman show kinds
Please watch Final Girls please I know y’all would love it
react to caddo lake next
I like that the ending was open for interpretation, in my opinion she died.
14:55 Topher Grace looks like a different person fr
How scary!
YES
The horror bandwagon posted time to eat a snack and relax 🎉
Love LoVe LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!
Does your shirt have Pedro Pascal on it or am I delulu?😂
she gets stabbed in the stomach and starts breaking out into a speech about the unimportance of prayer.... WHAT 😂
I was waiting for your live stream and just remembered now😂
Did anyone else get Human Centipede vibes? 👀
Interesting how Sergio tried to sing Creep before they brought up the plagiarizing thing..guess it's true 😆
This isnt accurate. They NEVER let the girls go alone. Always with a male chaperon. (I grew up around mormons)
💜💜💜
💖💖💖🤘🏼
finally
I love religious horror
🎬❤
Sad part is the sister might have gotten the birth control implant for her mission in cases like this movie where she didn't want to get pregnant via assault.
Bit reaching there
@@KingpintheI mean, not necessarily. Again, like a lot of things in the movie, it's up to interpretation. There have been stories of Sister missionaries being sexually assaulted while on mission. That's why they pulled Sister Missionaries out of South Africa for example.
@@liamerasmus8592 thanks I didn’t know this
I'm watching this instead of on my own because you guys are more fun! 😂❤
i love your content so much, you guys should totally watch the walking dead
