@@MarvelKnight-tw9hb Nah thats the MCU logic, we dont need every sony project in the spider verse to relate back to spiderman. It kills the hype and makes the movie irrelevant except for the post credits scenee.

Him getting powers from being bitten by a cat is oddly similar to how Halle Berry Catwoman got her powers in Catwoman (2004)
He gets powers because the lions blood is in his body

I think this will for sure be better then Morbius, but again, that’s not a very high standard to surpass. It’s just a wait and see situation. Johnson looks pretty good as Kraven, and the action looks gritty and insane at times. Let’s just hope.
You gotta understand that there’s an infinite multiverse of kraven the hunters so we’re just getting the one that values the lives of animals. It’s not gonna be bad, but it’s just another variant of kraven with a different origin story
I hope that instead of making him and anti-hero they show his downfall from such grace. So that we as the audience can see his descent and transformation into the villain. Like maybe the line “My father puts evil in the world I take it out🤓” is a line from the start when Kraven genuinely wants to do good but however we see that he isn’t doing it for good, he’s doing it for revenge and that’s when he turns into the menace we all know Kraven is. That might be what the tagline means by “Villains aren’t born, they’re made”. He never wanted it to go too far but there is no point denying it anymore.
But the whole “superpowers” thing is so annoying. Like if you want him to have. The speed to catch up to a car and the strength to rip open a door, then explain that he’s been training and improving his body to complete such feats. If you want him to have a “connection to animals” then have him be a trainer or a falconer which both take skill and practice and show how intelligent and powerful he is as a person. But no instead have him be given all his skills and attributes right away just so you can watch him jump across walls like Morbius, Exactly like Morbius. And how does he get these powers. What mind blowing, sci-fi, unimaginable event happens to give him Super Strength, Enhanced Speed, Nocturnal Vision and fricking telepathy? He was bitten by a lion. But not just any lion…. actually yeah it pretty much is just any regular lion. It wasn’t even the bite, it was a drop - A DROP - of the lions blood that spilled into an open wound. Like I get that it’s fiction but come ONN. This seems like an origin story from a Family Guy skit. This whole idea seems like bs. Imagine if when Matt Murdock was blinded by those chemicals, he also immediately learnt how to fight and do backflips and read braille and overcome everything he’s needed to learn himself. This is what they are doing for Kraven. Taking away relatable, human parts of his character just to make him an over exaggerated, bloody serial killer that fights to “do good” with his animal BFFs.
That bear trap kill was pretty sweet though.

The way they are portraying Kraven the hunter reminds me a bit of the way he was portrayed in the spectacular spider-man show, specifically him getting his powers.

@@luimaz2016 Even when the movie is out, it’s still a fact that ultimate spider man did better. I’m not comparing, I’m stating an actual fact, my guy doesn’t even have an accent which is one of the main features of kraven. The movie doesn’t have to be out for me to say something that’s clearly true
Maybe the reason why the lion gives kraven powers is because it could be modified by rhino. Rhino has a syringe that makes him a rhino, so maybe he had a lion that was modified but it broke out and kraven happened to run into it and then the scene from the trailer happens.

what they should do is hire writers that genuinely love spiderman and the spiderverse, not just love but understand it.
im probably just saying what has been said by others about a million times, but kraven, carnage, morbius, those are characters that you cant sugarcoat the fact that theyre villains. theyll rip heads off if they think youre talking back.

I actually liked the trailer and am excited for the movie
I think that there is still lots to see, like there is probably some magic involved with how he gets his powers since calypso is in the film and I’m pretty sure she deals with magic. Plus he gets super strength and reflexes from magic in comics
Not that there are many in the 1st place but he "NEVER" has used magic or needed it and in the earlier days he drank some root potion but its not a magic potion or anything like that . I guess it kind of concentrates his abilities he already has . not even in the sons of Kraven arc w/ Sinister . Only thing close is that Calypso is a voodoo priestess . She really doesnt use it more so as seeming threatening .
This spider universe seems doomed for failure imo but hopefully some good will come from El Muerto and Hypno thief . They have picked some really low rate characters to build it upon . Its crazy that these character choices only have a few cameos but they get films and the 1s that have n more are being cast w/ star power over material to use . hopefully writers can do their job and write even when a strike is going on

I’m gonna say, I think at the beginning of this movie, he’s gonna be an anti hero, and by the end, he’s gonna be a full fledged villain
How to make it better:
- Don’t make it (jk)
- Make the lion part of experiment 42
- Give him the task of to hunt miles morales as an end credit scene
- Make him have a proper battle with rhino
- Make him evil and not a revengeful anti-hero

Without the Russian accent I just can’t see Aaron Taylor Johnson’s Portrayal of the character as Kraven. Let alone the definitive version. Which is a shame because his build suit, and ruthlessness are perfect at matching the character.

The movie to be fair does create a good idea for a new villain or hero someone who uses a connection with animals to track their own prey I actually quite like that I don’t like that as part of Kraven’s character arc but that’s definitely a creative idea for a whole new character
Actually, SONY already did this with the main villain, Van Pelt, from Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. He had the same exact powers.

I wouldn't even go as far to say that he needs powers. What's more threatening? A man with equal powers going toe to toe with Spider-Man or other characters? Or just a regular guy who can do just as much damage without powers, but just through sheer training, practice, and determination?

The director,JC Chandor directed some pretty solid movies. Margin Call,all is lost,a most violent year, and triple frontier. So there's a chance this could be solid.

The only thing I like about this trailer is how bloody it looks and in all fairness the action doesn’t actually look that bad. Also what the hell is Russel Crowe doing with that voice he uses the same accent he used in the horror movie “the Pope’s exorcist” which came out this year (great movie by the way if anyone is interested) where he played an Italian. I doubt Kraven’s father is Italian

@DoomBlazer I do wanna say thay in comics. Kraven,Venom,and Morbious. Have all been anti heros in at least ine comic. And yes Kraven is a superhuman since many forget or did not know.
How the heck did they give Rhino an accent, the character who seems to always be forgotten to be also Russian (spiderman has a lot of Russian enemies) yet they dont for Kraven a guy who hasn't been shown once without some sort of accent 😂.

The Movie might prove me wrong, but, i feel like this is how ifs gonna go,
Kraven grows up to knowing his mom has passed. And at the same time has a father to grow up to and to hunt with. Him, his brother, and his father go hunting, not knowing that a lion had attacked him. Blood of the lion crawls through inside him, after his father and brother left him.
After waking up he realizes that he has these powers,
through out the movie he has live in the city with these types of powers. After a while people try to track him down to lock him up, but after realizing that his father left him to die, he wants to chase after him to kill/hunt him on his own.
On his journey he meets people who might know where his father is at. Until he stumbles upon a guy who is known to be the Rhino, as for the rhino is working with his brother “The Chameleon” to go against him, knowing that he has these powers of a lion.
During battle Kraven, the Rhino, and Chameleon, As Chameleon reveals to Kraven who he was. In the sky the purple cracks appear. And all 3 of the Villains get stuck into cracks. As for the events of NWH. As Kraven is in the purple cracks. He looks around everywhere, and that is when we actually get to see live-action villains on the big screen, where is we see “The Black Cat” played by (Anya Taylor Joy) we see many others like TASM Rhino, Venom, Sam Raimi Mysterio, Lizard, Kingpin, Vulture, Tombstone, Prowler, Mister Negative, Morbius, Hammerhead, The Scorpion, The Spot, Kaine, We see other live-action spider-man variants. And its a whole 5 minutes of Kraven inside of the purple reality cracks, until strange closes it, and sends everyone back.
To keep in mind that the villains showed will be live-action and will be a lot of easter eggs and villians spotted.
but in the end Kraven and the villians forget who peter parker/ Spiderman is, and forget abt what happend, so as they continue to battle,
his brother the chameleon, ends up dying, his father is killed by his bare hands, and he returns to the forest to hide from the city, ending off the movie with that.
i feel like thats as to why the directors are telling us tht this movie will be WAY better than we expected.

I have a theory on where his accent is and I think this is a good theory perhaps because his Dad left him for dead he abandoned the accent and put on an American accent because he doesn’t want that part of his life to become part of him in that sense

Kraven always had powers except in Ultimate Marvel. And he got powers there too before they turned him into a lion-man. Think about it, dude: Beast got blue and furry because of Kraven's potions after Kraven defeated Beast in the X-Men Mansion and thought it was too easy so he gave him his own potion to make him more of a challenge, allowing Beast to defeat him. Kraven has always used animals in his exploits, he even saved an alien baby. And he's also largely always been an anti-hero as was Morbius mostly. Because Kraven cares about the thrill of the hunt - until his resurrection from his family doing a voodoo ritual to bring him back but killing the wrong Spider-Man. Then he was a straight up villain, but I am not a fan of that. Never forget that during Kraven's Last Hunt, not only did he save Spider-Man from Vermin, but he saved Mary Jane from r@pists.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson is trying to do as many superhero movies from different companies as he can.
