I like the idea of these...currently trying the Speed Sticks, which as you say are driver length and limited to outdoor training. Which can look a bit weird stood on the drive 😅😅😅
Yeah, it's normally a three 'club' system but our Pro is one of Speed Sticks accredited coaches so I have access to the four club system....you're right though it's just four different weights where that one you can mix and match the weights to get a much larger variety 👍
Hi David, just got the Stacksystem, have the PRGR but it only seems to pick up swing speed intermittently, just wasted a heap pf eneery on the base course with no result, any ideas? Thank you.
Hi David , great video as always . The only thing I am concerned about here is that a couple of years ago I suffered from shoulder impingement /frozen shoulder and this coincided with me starting to use the Orange Whip Light Speed training stick . My shoulders are now 95% back to normal but wondering if The Stack could damage them again . Any thoughts please
You’ll need either a Garmin G80 or a PRGR monitor to read the swing speed without hitting a ball. But you can use the r10 to get statistic results and increases. My way of doing it is to get a baseline then use the Stack then see how much it helps
Ro Ma has already mentioned this, (you didn’t reply) but what is your opinion on the effectiveness of The Stack for golfers much lower club head speed. Say ladies or juniors with club head speed of around 70 MPH. It would be nice if you could answer. Thank you
Sorry I thought I had, will look for his comment. I believe there are 2 sizes for the stack, and with it’s design it will definitely help all players of all levels improve 😊
Hi David. Loving your videos, especially this one as I have just had Thestack delivered. I also have the R10 based on your advice from another and was just wondering how you get that layout shown at around the 16:38 mark? I have an iPad and it just shows the bare stats. Cheers
@@davidmaxfieldgolf So you essentially gained 40 yards from this training? That's legit if true! Are you doing any other training such as flexibility stretches or anything like that? Thanks!
@@christopherraley6256 Hey mate, it’s actually probably further than that now. If you look at my latest course vlog one of the drives was 350 yards and on average about 320-330 yards. I’m not really doing anything else as I’ve scaled back the gym a lot rather than increased it because the stack has weights and it uses all of the muscles in the body for the golf swing so I just do that now. Matt Fitzpatrick also uses it and his gains on tour were huge
Anyone know how much Matt F picked up in distance? I remember maybe last year where he was complaining that it was almost impossible to compete with people like Bryson. Matt was a shorter hitter. Shorter in the PGA usually means under 300 yards total. This past week, I think DJ said that Matt gained huge distance in just the past few months.
@@davidmaxfieldgolf unreal , defo going to get it myself, Matthew Fitzpatrick seemed to gain 30 yards off the tee out of nowhere in the run up to the US open
I,m at 101 mph with the 195g which equals to 111mph. This is also what I can swing my driver without hitting a ball. When hitting balls I’m at 96-98, so very frustrating 😢. Any thoughts how to fix this?
David, it would make a lot of sense to start out with all the gear you need to get this system up and running and how to set it up. I don't think the stack system people do a good job of showing you want you need. all they do is send the stick, the weights and qr code-- and you gotta figure all the rest out
The problem I see with the average golfer is that they have trouble with impact on the ball since they are trying to swing so hard. You still have to hit the ball square on the club face.
but i think the theory is, is that if you have a bad swing or a messed up face at impact, you probably aren't generating that much clubhead speed anyways. so a guy can look like he is swinging out of his shoes, but he probably isn't generating as much clubhead speed as you think he is. so you say they are trying to swing so hard, but what is actually their clubhead speed in those moments?
Yes definitely. The 2 together work really well but you’ll still need the PRGR monitor for the stack. The Garmin won’t read swing speed without hitting a ball
Hello David, another useful video thanks a lot ! Are you using at the same time the PRGR (for swing speed without club) and Garmin R10 (for practice with Awesome golf) ? If so, how are you putting them ? Side by side behind your back swing ?
The people who need this gadget the most are those with slow swing speeds, not high speeds like the person doing the demo. The usefulness for those with slow swing speeds has not been shown, at least as far as this tape is concerned. Also, the system looks a little glitchy; the person doing the demo presumably knows how to work the system correctly, yet he had problems getting the electronics to work right. Maybe the system needs further development before it is ready for prime time, especially at the high price of $350, plus the need to purchase a swing speed radar.
Hi mate, sorry I though I had replied to this. The stack was purpose built to increase swing speeds. So with that it will help every level of golfer increase speed from a slow or fast swing speed. There are also 2 sizes to it as well 😊
@davidmaxfieldgolf yup! Stack System is already much more expensive than other speed training systems, I'm not spending another $100-$150 on top of that on a used iPhone that I only use for speed training! If Android support begins available then I'll think about it! I enjoy your vids though!
