I purchased the Super Speed Sticks in April. I don't own anything that can tell me my swing speed but I can honestly say that I'm hitting the ball 20 yrds further. At 61 yrs young I'm happy....
I took a old big berths driver drilled a hole in the bottom and added sand to weigh 375 grams about 6 months ago and swing it 4 sets of 10 swings as hard as I can and then pick up my driver and swing 2 sets of 10 as hard as I can every 4 days picked up about 25 yards, At 63 years old I am happy with the results
100% back The Stack System. I posted 2 videos on it and how it increased from 99 mph to 112 mph with the first session. Love the content you are putting out.
First off I love the channel and I'm always looking forward to the next review. I'm on week 19 of the superspeed system, the speed I've gained has truly helped my game went from 265 to 270 carry to easily 295 to over 300 carry and it seems like I'm swinging the club easier which has increased my driver accuracy tremendously. Instead of feeling like I have to kill the ball every swing to get it out there I just feel like it's an effortless swing to hit it over 300 now which has made my handicap go from a 7 to a 1, playing from the fairway farther up is way easier to approach the greens than from the rough farther back. Now like every training system you will hit plateaus so looking at the stack system I might have to invest this offseason to keep my body guessing and gaining speed.
Great segment, gents. I have used both the Superspeed system and Rypstick over the last 2 + years. My average driver game speed increased from 108mph to 122mph coupled with dedicated strength and mobility training. These aids are no joke and require serious, consistent work. No magic bullet but well worth the time and effort.

I feel obliged to share this public service announcement. I had Super Speed for 2 years and loved using it and gained 10mph on ball speed. Caution: Do not wear spiked golf shoes on a golf mat when doing the step movement! I torqued my knee really badly and almost tore a ligament due to the massive amount of torque where my foot was not able to rotate. Ended up not being able to walk for weeks on my leg after this incident. I still cringe each time I think about picking up the super speed golf for any stomp/step motion now.
Speed is greatly influenced by properly sequencing pressure, whether it's horizontal, vertical or torsional. Studies show that proper sequencing can gain 30 yards, and not necessarily because of speed training. A excellent example is Dr. Kwons technics, resulting in increased speed within a few hours.
I've been using Super Speed for about 4 months. Went from average drive of around 250, to averaging around 280, with an occasional drive around 300. 7 iron went from 155 to 175.
Awesome! I got about 15 yards but my sequencing got all messed up so I stopped doing it. Did you experience anything like that? If so, how did you overcome it?
Superspeed system works. I had to stop for about a month since I changed my routine. Got back to it and am about 8 to 10 mph slower with all sticks. DON'T STOP!
Used SuperSpeed last year, went from 78-80 mph to 90-95 w/driver in just a couple of months. My avg driver distance (total using GPS app for dozens of rounds) from 185 to 228. Unfortunately hurt my elbow and had to stop the training but it works.
With regards to wanting hear effects on the golf swing, I did the super speed programme for about 8 weeks during lockdown in the UK last year. Before the lockdown I was hitting a fade and then came back hitting a draw which I suspect was down to the speed training and how I changed both my hand path and sequencing in order to generate speed.
Thanks, JohnK! Every customer that purchases will get a free swing assessment. It's critical so that you add speed the right way for your swing! Blindly training for speed with a bad swing and having no clue what you are doing is a recipe for the woods!
Got SuperSpeed 6 months ago. Went from a swing speed of 96 to 110-112 (119 max - swinging out of my shoes but won't hit many fairways). At 55 years old, I'm hitting it as far as I ever have. 275 carry and 295-300 total.
Hi guy's, I'm 60 and used the super speed this summer. I followed the protocols and increased my driver swing speed from 92mph to 103 in a couple months. These tools work if you commit to them.
I started using Super Speed about a year ago and got my Driver SS from 100mph max to 115, though I don't swing that hard in play. , my on course speed averages around 108, but I only feel like I am swinging at the same speed which used to get 100. you learn what faster feels like and it becomes easier to generate a faster swing without swinging hard. great investment !
SuperSpeed! Went from averaging 90-95 mph swing speed on a driver to 100-105mph. Of course good contact is very important too, so I also try to smash balls as hard as possible at the driver range just to get the feel of “what a solid smash” is like. Farthest I’ve gone was 258 carry, 280 total, 1.43 smash factor with club head speed of 106mph. Definitely helps, but Ian is right: it is a maintenance thing, like all exercises!
at 73 yo my average speed was very low 109-114 mph after working with the speed sticks senior/womans set yellow green blue i have just completed phase 1 my avg speed is now 115-119 and i break 120 on some swings my driving range has the top golf computer screens so everthing is relative great product. I walked with Sergio years ago in a practice round in Abu Dhabi with some other Spaniards. I think Lara was his name, hit a poor drive on a long par 4. Sergio thought that was hilarious so picked up the Heavy Momentus driver and blew it past the guy. Re the Stack System. One feature I really like that you didn’t mention, is the “Priming” feature. It leads you through a pre round warm up, step by step. I find that to be a great help. It doesn’t affect your workout schedule, just gives an efficient easy to follow, pre round warm up.
One common tip to increase swing speed is to every so often go and hit drives as hard as possible, Kyle Berkshire recommends this as a good way to get faster. How much is there really to gain by using these training aids vs just practicing swinging at max effort?
Freddy, swinging anything faster will help you gain speed, but the evidence points towards training both sides of the spectrum (light and heavy) can produce even better results. We've done research on it and so has TPI and others.
Had the speed sticks for a year. I have hand issues and the firmness with which i had to grip the sticks caused my hands to get more sore. Finally sold them. Maybe different grips would have done the trick. It for sure increased my speed from around 90mph to 96 mph in a matter of weeks.
I use the PRGR and found it very useful especially in the UK lockdown getting basic feedback hitting into a net in the garden. Will get back to winter speed training. Finished the season positively and starting to think about the goals for 2022.
Im assuming that they are available in left hand ?? ( kidding ) been using the Medicus driver for I dont remember how many years but still gets the job done !! Great vid guys , Thanks !!
I'm in my mid-50's now and distance is dropping off rapidly. I've been hitting a weighted steel shafted driver and, whilst it's improved my strength, it's only marginally increased my speed (although some of that might have been improving my technique). I'm definitely interested in this sort of thing over the winter months. Another great video guys so thanks for the options!
Just started with the Stack last week. I definitely want to gain some speed, but since I'm recovering from a back injury, was also looking for it to help fitness, core strength, and increase flexibility. The quality of the videos, the explanations, and the app interface are fantastic. The comment about the shaft length being a tad shorter and allowing inside training is spot on. A bit spendy but very pleased so far!
Gained about a club in iron distance this year from working out and improving delivery characteristics. Excited to add golf specific swing speed training into the mix!
Agreed on regripping with the grips you use. I put Midsize Golf Pride MCC White/Black on my SuperSpeed sticks so it feels and looks the same as all my clubs. With the standard grips, it always felt dangerously close to flying out of my hands and forced me to squeeze harder than I would like when overspeed training. Moved from 110mph driver club head on Trackman with average ball speed of 164 prior to training to 117mph driver club head speed with average ball speed of 171mph (golf course swing). Have hit 121mph club head with 179mph ball speed on PRGR launch monitor swinging like a maniac on the range. Just want to touch 180mph ball speed once to say I did it..... :)
Speaking of grips and grip sizes…it might be an interesting test topic for you guys to cover different grip types and sizes on the save club. I’ve always wanted to see and hear real data on that decision.
I have the Super Speed system and it has definitely added some speed but just like a Gym Membership you need to show up and do the work.... This video motivated me to get back at it !!

Have you guys tested Aero swing yet as it can be used while hitting golf balls. I have it myself and love the feeling of the resistance it creates. I would love to hear your feedback on it and if Matt could improve his clubhead speed using it.
Started The Stack this summer, on my second program. First progrma went from 100 to 107mph for driver. last night maxed out at 113! More importantly, I have seen significant improvement on the course with longer drives that are more consistent, and in the fairway.
So do you make the stack the same weight as your driver and compare apples to apples with swing speeds? Or does this line up with a different club in the bag speed-wise?
@@aaronh.917 when you start the program the app has you swing and record your launch radar speed with your driver and with their device with different weights. It then generates the appropriate programs with different sequences of weighted stack. The final set for each day’s workout you swing with a particular weight, that when taken into account the shorter length of the Stack, is equivalent to your driver. I have found this is quite accurate to driver speed that I get with my GC2/hmt. I haven’t checked iron speeds directly, but my distance seems to have increased as well suggesting speed has improved here as well.
@@ScubaHockeyDoc awesome, thanks for the explanation. I’m considering getting one for myself. But do you need to have a speed radar of some sort? That’s what it seemed to say on the website. $350 for the stack, then another $200 for radar?
Watching this I was going to buy The Stack but their app does not work with Android. How hard can it be to make an Android version for 35% of the North America market?
Glad to see Rypstick in here, I've picked up about 8mph in the past couple of months using it. Also Luke and Sarah have really helped my swing and fitness with the free swing analysis and fitness screening that comes with the purchase!
The first step to gain speed is work with coach! Take your speed sticks and work on technique as well as all out speed, coach can ensure that you develop your swing not harm it! I combined my swing drills with my speed drills and it has been really beneficial 👍🏻
That's basically what we do at Rypstick. Everyone gets a free swing eval from a Ph.D. level PGA golf instructor (Dr. Luke Benoit). He's a Golf Digest "Best Young Teacher".
I use a strength and conditioning, which has made me get heaps quick then these… i bought the golf stick pro which I find is great it has a light side and heavy side in one stick and is easy to carry around … it’s great after some strength and flexibility work to have a few swings with your driver then do 5-8 swings each side and got into your proper speed training
I use the super speed and I would say the main benefit to me is more psychological, though there definitely is some muscles being worked. It has increased my club head speed and that is showing up on course. In the past I would swing at say 70% max power, I guess because I felt I could control that much effort. This system has made it to where 90% feels just as controlled and comfortable, enabling me to use more of my energy and not feel out of control.
I went for a cheaper option off ebay to start, the albatross swing speed trainer, similar to rypspeed in that's it is one stick with adjustable weights. Combine that with a fitness plan and I have seen at least a one club gain throughout the bag, probably more at the top end. I have no radar so don't know how much speed I have gained but 100% swinging the club faster and scores have gotten lower. I would love to give the stack system a go though!!
Question. Do you have content on baseball swing transitioning to a golf swing? I’m a beginner at golf and I struggle with consistency. When I make on contact I can drive 280-300yards lol but when I don’t, I have either miss the ball entirely haha or the ball goes 10 feet.
the ap and the shorter more manageable length sets the stack system apart from the rest. I have the speed stix and if the stack was available then I would have gone that way. the interchangeable weight system on one club is a better option.
Thanks for the comparison of these products appreciated. Be interesting to see from the both of you or other TXG Team members as we approach “off season” (for some) what different routines or approaches they are going to implement and apply towards their golf goals for next season, any topic applies if it’s building towards playing enjoyable golf. #souptonuts 👍
Do you need a separate radar for capturing your swing speed? Or does the stack work as a standalone unit? Curious if I’d have to spend $350 on the stack, then another ~$200 on a radar to get the most out of the stack
@@aaronh.917 yeah it seems to work just fine. I did go cheap as I plan on getting a premium launch monitor within the next 12 months so just needed something to hold me over
What's the opinion on the non-dominant swings? I know that superspeed recommends them, but the stack system says that they don't really do anything. Any thoughts from your testing?
Leave the products in the description below so we have an idea where to grab these products you guys go through. As always I love the content you guys put out.
I haven’t used any of these speed aids. I’m not huge on training aids. I have a Putt Out I use in my living room, and that is awesome. I also have a Medicus iron if you/anyone remembers that and wants to give that some swings 😂
A potential next step would be a weight system that adjust to each previous swing to confuse the system enough to really break barriers. It wouldn’t take much of a difference… This has my mind rolling!
Swinging super speed sticks has helped me get from 105 to 125. I think more important than the sticks though is the speed radar. I would bet money that doing sessions swinging your driver as hard as you can in front of a radar regularly would increase your clubhead speed nearly as well. The instant feedback is key because frequently harder feeling swings end up being slower. That and go to the f***ing gym :P
From my coaching experience and background the stack system is far superior because of the app and their training program. The other systems recommend too many swings with insufficient recovery between swings. The stack system emphasizes quality over quantity. And recently they’ve just sent updates For their app.
I use superspeed in my garage but it's close. The Stack would be safer. See if you can make room to swing a hybrid - if so, you should be able to use the stack. Superspeed is driver length.
I loved my speedsticks, but week three one fast swing throughout my back for a week. Haven't touched them since. I probably need to try again. They have a pretty long warm-up of 10-15 minutes before you are supposed to start swinging. It definitely takes longer than a few minutes a day because of warm-up time.
Not doubting the value of these for professional, low handicap and young golfers but is there a risk of injury for the average amateur, particularly as one gets older?
Can someone help me make sense of this? I just started my SuperSpeed training. I’m a right handed golfer. When alternating between dominant and non-dominant side, I am swinging significantly faster on my non dominant side with (perceived) less effort. Has anyone here experienced the same? Any suggestions what could be happening? Thanks 🙏🏻
I tried superspeed but I lost club face awareness. Before the training I rarely, if ever, missed my drives to the right. I'm right handed. During the training pretty all of my drivers went right.
Wonder why you wouldn't want a shorter length training aid? The shorter Stack isn't going to "swing" inside most homes (e.g. my golf cave has 8"7"" of clearance and I have "marks of shame" on my ceiling from a badly swung 4-iron).
Going too short can change the sequence and how power is created. Hand strength is a critical factor on longer shafts. Less so on shorter shafts. Driver speed is what people need most, which is why we built a driver length Rypstick.
As someone who increased his clubheadspeed from 112 mph to 134 within 6 months, I am telling you superspeed golf is flatout trash. I trained a long time with them and also followed the steps very precisely. nothing happened. If you want to seriously increase your speed, go hit 200 balls as hard and as fast as you can at least once a week.
Interesting I used super speed golf since january. Starting out I maxed out at about 118 with driver and now can get 130 if I go all out. My "on course" speed went from 115 to about 123-125. I haven't followed all the protocols but definitely worked for me.
In June 2021, Android accounted for about 46 percent of the mobile OS market, and iOS accounted for 53.66 percent of the market. Dear Stack, many of that 46% are golfers. I'd argue a bigger % vs IOS. Seems strange to ignore 46% of the market with such a scientific based product that uses math, algos, etc.
100% agree! I'm not paying almost double just for the product, and then buying a separate Apple device on top of that that I'll only use for speed training. Screw that. Rypstick just came out with an Android app so I might go that route.
Downside of The Stack- no Android app, so is useless to me. And no, I'm not going to spend double the amount of the other systems and then buy a used Apple device that I only use for that. Rypstick just came out with an Android app so I might try them!

@@ryang1910 ah, bummer. Sorry to hear about the medical set back. Thanks for getting back to me tho. Wishing you all the best Ryan
Nice! How are you measuring swing speed?
@@aaronh.917 I have the same question.
How are you guys integrating this into existing training systems, particularly strength training?
Just started speed training 3 weeks ago with Rawspeed golf, & using PRGR monitor, already seen changes in speed & distance
Rypstick looks awesome 👏
Watching this I was going to buy The Stack but their app does not work with Android. How hard can it be to make an Android version for 35% of the North America market?
Glad to see Rypstick in here, I've picked up about 8mph in the past couple of months using it. Also Luke and Sarah have really helped my swing and fitness with the free swing analysis and fitness screening that comes with the purchase!
I have been asking for this for soooo long!!!! THANK YOU
I'm still rockin the Speed Whoosh from 2011 or whatever year it was when I bought it
The first step to gain speed is work with coach!
Really been wanting to see this. 💪
You should review the MISIG, as well as SpeedCore Golf
I feel the need, the need for speed!
How is people's accuracy effected by an increase in club speed, are you finding a drop in FIR ?
Question.
Do you have content on baseball swing transitioning to a golf swing? I’m a beginner at golf and I struggle with consistency. When I make on contact I can drive 280-300yards lol but when I don’t, I have either miss the ball entirely haha or the ball goes 10 feet.
Almost a yr later,do you still like all 3. Would you suggest the Stack over Rypstick.
the ap and the shorter more manageable length sets the stack system apart from the rest. I have the speed stix and if the stack was available then I would have gone that way. the interchangeable weight system on one club is a better option.
Hi I heard you do virtual club fitting is this correct if so how do we get started
Just got the Stack System last week excited to get started on it. NIce to see Ian calling it the Rolls Royce of speed to justify the price point.
Do you need a separate radar for capturing your swing speed? Or does the stack work as a standalone unit? Curious if I’d have to spend $350 on the stack, then another ~$200 on a radar to get the most out of the stack
@@aaronh.917 unfortunately you do. So it was about a $500 investment all in for me.
@@Bbfrancize1414 ahh thanks for the reply. Can you recommend the radar you went with? Did you go cheap?
@@aaronh.917 yeah it seems to work just fine. I did go cheap as I plan on getting a premium launch monitor within the next 12 months so just needed something to hold me over
@@aaronh.917 Sports Sensors, Inc Swing Speed Radar Blue btw
What's the opinion on the non-dominant swings? I know that superspeed recommends them, but the stack system says that they don't really do anything. Any thoughts from your testing?
Useful to keep your body from getting too out-of-balance left vs right, given that you're ultimately doing something akin to weight training.
@@randyprice1602 Then every golfer is out of balance regardless of whether they speed train or not.
If Ian and Matt get any faster 😵💫…. I guess I better step up my game.. we appreciate your content gents!
Leave the products in the description below so we have an idea where to grab these products you guys go through. As always I love the content you guys put out.
Uhm. Google is your friend 😂
@@swisstrader lol
I haven’t used any of these speed aids. I’m not huge on training aids. I have a Putt Out I use in my living room, and that is awesome. I also have a Medicus iron if you/anyone remembers that and wants to give that some swings 😂
How does the stack compared to the orange whip system?
Struggling right now with 70 mph club head speed with my 7 iron, and going to the gym isn’t feasible. Which product should I try
A potential next step would be a weight system that adjust to each previous swing to confuse the system enough to really break barriers. It wouldn’t take much of a difference… This has my mind rolling!
Are there any subscriptions costs to any of these options? You mentioned not with super speed. Thanks great work as always 👍
No subscription. We offer a free swing eval and fitness assessment!
@@rypgolf maybe a small discount for us left handed canadians !!! :)
@@chuckbond33 we’ve got $10 shipping to anywhere in Canada now! Free swing eval even applies to lefties 😂
Do the swing speed increases easily translate to the golf course?
From my coaching experience and background the stack system is far superior because of the app and their training program. The other systems recommend too many swings with insufficient recovery between swings. The stack system emphasizes quality over quantity. And recently they’ve just sent updates For their app.
Is it possible to use the superspeed with a swing caddie SC 300? Would like to avoid buying another launch monitor! Thanks.
Nope, only the SC200+ does dry swing capture
I live in an apartment w relatively high ceilings. Wondering if others use these devices indoors.
Same here, hurt shoulder, out 6 weeks
Not doubting the value of these for professional, low handicap and young golfers but is there a risk of injury for the average amateur, particularly as one gets older?
Good question, that’s my concern
Can someone help me make sense of this? I just started my SuperSpeed training. I’m a right handed golfer. When alternating between dominant and non-dominant side, I am swinging significantly faster on my non dominant side with (perceived) less effort. Has anyone here experienced the same? Any suggestions what could be happening?
Thanks 🙏🏻
It means that you're swinging from the wrong side - get a few LH clubs and see what happens.
Wheaties #1
So the Stack tracks swingspeed through the app?
Stack system looks great but it's Apple only, no Android. I'll wait. Signed, Mr Anti Apple.
I tried superspeed but I lost club face awareness. Before the training I rarely, if ever, missed my drives to the right. I'm right handed. During the training pretty all of my drivers went right.
Good vid.
I would think Super Speed is going to need to come out with an app?!
superspeed sticks made a mess of my driver shaft when putting them in and out of my bag.
So do what I do, train at home and don't put them in the bag. I wouldn't blame the superspeed sticks for that.
Do they make a pill to increase sp for us old people?
Adderall
As someone who increased his clubheadspeed from 112 mph to 134 within 6 months, I am telling you superspeed golf is flatout trash. I trained a long time with them and also followed the steps very precisely. nothing happened.
If you want to seriously increase your speed, go hit 200 balls as hard and as fast as you can at least once a week.
Im sitting at 112 right now and Ive been going once a week to absolutely smash as many as I can and I just cant get faster
Interesting I used super speed golf since january. Starting out I maxed out at about 118 with driver and now can get 130 if I go all out. My "on course" speed went from 115 to about 123-125. I haven't followed all the protocols but definitely worked for me.
@@kourt2469 thats crazy!
This is what I did even though I wanted super speed. Got to 127 from 113 in a few months. I’ve never hit my slice further
134?
TXG x Galvin Green collab when??!
Is anyone else stuck at 360p quality?
Yup
nope
In June 2021, Android accounted for about 46 percent of the mobile OS market, and iOS accounted for 53.66 percent of the market. Dear Stack, many of that 46% are golfers. I'd argue a bigger % vs IOS. Seems strange to ignore 46% of the market with such a scientific based product that uses math, algos, etc.
100% agree! I'm not paying almost double just for the product, and then buying a separate Apple device on top of that that I'll only use for speed training. Screw that. Rypstick just came out with an Android app so I might go that route.
just to clarify top golf give you ball speed LOL WISH II HAD THOSE SWING SPEEDS my swing speed has gone fron 83-85 to 88-92
Left handed Ian looks quite proficient
Downside of The Stack- no Android app, so is useless to me. And no, I'm not going to spend double the amount of the other systems and then buy a used Apple device that I only use for that. Rypstick just came out with an Android app so I might try them!
Think I'll just swing two clubs together
😅That’s what I do. Just like baseball warmup.
Am I the only one who did not benefit from speed training. 67 years old with 101 swing speed. Ball speed 145 to 150. No improvement after 6 weeks and gave
up.
