  • With the off-season on the downhill side, it’s time to do some heavy weighted swing training. The Stack System has several different workouts with one being the Heavy Hitter. This is the kickoff to that workout. If you have any doubts if The Stack System works, check out the Stats video below.

Same age as yourself, 52, 2.8 H'cap. Good spot regarding the orientation of the weights on the stack. I have been doing the opposite all my foundation, with the heavier weights on first rather than last, lol! still gone up from 103 to 111 but we'll see what the progress check shows me. i'll switch around for the progress check and the next programmes, thanks😁👍

Love to hear that increase. I think at our age any increases great especially getting up to 111. That’s fantastic. I’d be interested to see stats on swing speeds on the senior tour not including Padrick Herrington lol. Keep me updated on your progress. Thanks for the comments.

@@ChasingTheTour cheers, progress check had me swinging my driver at 108 set average, so 5mph up which is still decent. Nearly half way through Neural Drive atm which was suggested following my progress check, however even though my GRIT has been high, i seem to have lost 1-2 mph swinging at max intent. After a couple of sessions i had a 101 average set but its now dropped to 99 frustratingly. Hopefully the speed will return and increase as i get through it.

@@markrushforth6212 keep grinding. I fluctuate throughout a program. Look at it from a distance in the course. You are training muscles which are in different states every day. Not to be too cliche, it’s a marathon. You are making gains. On my first program I was hitting 113 on the stack and when I did the final measurement I hit 99 mph lol. But my shots on the course are much further. Keep checking in.

Great stuff! I have the Rypstick. I wanted the stack but their app isn't available for android. I wasn't about to go out and buy a phone just for that. I want to see some short game practice. Dave Stockton made a career out of hitting 50% greens in regulation. His short game and putting was spectacular. I was finally able to do some chipping today. Low spinner, highfloater, cutter....oh yeah still got it.

I know they are working on having an android app so hopefully that will come out soon. But if you’re using lipsticks already, I’d say continue using them. I’ll bet they have a good program of some sort or we could look at giving you the changes of mine and see if that’ll work. definitely working on the short game especially putting. Going out to the course at least twice a week just working on chipping and then the oven down game.

@ChasingTheTour I just started with the Rypstick. I'm still rehabbing my left arm. Hopefully in a few weeks it'll be good to go. It's better already but still a long way to go. I had enquired about the app. The response was that it was still in development. That was like 2 years ago. Keep working that short game. I would suggest 70% of your practice be short game and distance wedges. Your score will benefit immensely.

I like you and I like your channel but until you can show me that it suddenly took you from shooting in the 80s in almost all of your tournaments last year to suddenly shooting in the lower 70s in tournaments this year, then I'll consider it a fun toy that people can use to say WOW look at me -- I hit it farther according to this app!

Absolutely fair and I'd love for those score results as well.
