@@flynntaggart8549Well, for the most part, that's what they've become. They're basic Pokemon. The exceptions to this rule are the exclusively still baby Pokemon like Bonsly, as one example. But Mantike? Readily caught since XY, again as just one example. The only thing that makes them, mechanically, distinct is the fact they have that 3 IV system, and they don't get cards in the card game..
Tbh I think Baby Pokémon as a concept weren't well thought out at all. It's basically the opposite of an extra evolution; instead of going through some effort to get a better pokémon, you go through more effort to get a worse one.
Skarlet and violet also removed the need for insenses to get many of them via breeding So now they pretty much act like first stage evolutions rather then 0.5 like it was before
I hatched a shiny female elekid from this egg on my crystal playthrough. I was planning on doing a reset as I really wanted a tyrouge, but somehow, I noticed that the Elekid was a slightly different shade of orange and when I went to check it indeed was. Apparently, the odds for this Pokemon are pretty significant, and it's actually my rarest Pokemon.
Wait, wait a minute... The egg groups are to establish if pokemon can breed with eachother right? So if baby and legendaries are in the same group, does that mean that... Legendaries are all PDF files?
I still remember being called a liar in school, cause I was the only person who had Crystal instead of Gold/Silver. And NO ONE believed I got a free egg from the Daycare Man.
That’s how I got Tyrogue in Crystal! I never knew how to get him from breeding and just assumed you had to get him from the odd egg….seems I got lucky!
Fun fact! Theres a way to get multiple odd eggs in Crystal! It does require a duplication type of trick but each egg is unique I ended up getting a shiny igglybuff and a shiny elekid before messing up the trick. Messing up does not cause you to ruin your game or anything, it just messes up getting more eggs
Starting in gen 6, any pokemon in the No Eggs egg group gets at least 3 perfect IVs when encountered wild. This generally includes legendaries and baby pokemon, but it also includes the odd case that is female Nidoran. Nidoran is in the Monster and Field egg groups, but Nidorina and Nidoqueen are in the No Eggs egg group. This means you can find wild Nidorina with 3 guaranteed perfect IVs in XY, but not Nidoran. On the opposite side, you have Manaphy, which is a mythical pokemon but is in the Water 1 and Fairy egg groups. This means Manaphy doesn't get 3 guaranteed perfect IVs.
Twould be nice if the incenses used in breeding could bring in at least a form of the 3 perfect IVs/DVs to the applicable lines even though SV got rid of the need to use them just to get the baby forms, so they could actually be handy & give the exclusive bonuses thereof
why the hell was cumber not a member of the TOP team ? they could easily convince him of being part of the team. also, you'd think that fiture gohan would want his timeline's Cell and thd main one to get reprogrammed.
Baby Pokémon: has three perfect IV’S like a legendary Pokémon. Also baby Pokémon: Completely worthless in battle due their fragility and lack of speed. To the people who use baby Pokémon in online matches and “sweep” their opponents with their stupid strategies, I hope you get a chance to fight me…you might think you’re going to make me rage quit or get salty or whatever, but do you seriously think you can sweep my team? Nah…I’d win. Fight me if you dare.😈
Uhm I’m sorry but I had the guide for Leafgreen and Firered and you can even look this up online but there has always been an egg group of Pokémon that could not be breedable and legendaries and baby Pokémon have been in it ever since breeding was a thing or at least to my knowledge 3rd Gen Pokémon, so to say that they were added into the same egg group as legendaries in 6th Gen is misinformation.
So anyone trying to fight my pikachu with five perfect ivs fully ev trained with pure special attack and speed that has the lightbulb item and its thunderbolt pretty much one shots?
Why in god's name did they make baby pokemon a thing? Like- Ok I get why, marketing and whatever. But when you add in damn near useless pokemon with very limited obtainability, use, and give them friendship of all evolution methods, why even bother anymore?
Look at their stats, friend. After you obtain them you can check their stats multiple ways, in game npc in almost every game, pokemon home, later in game in some games like oras you can check in pc or at start screen.
@@Marianna_estrada but how do you know ALL of the babies have that? Is there any type of web where I can look it up, I'm not doubting, I want all that knowledge, I don't want to be learning that by luck in a yt short you know
@xaviguti2425 Oh yeah you can find just about anything on bulbapedia, but honestly you just put it together over time playing the game. Been playing since yellow version, so I kinda have the experience with a lot of the mechanics. You can learn about that from breeding too, same way I learned about egg moves, experiment with it and you get it down over time.
@xaviguti2425 to find something like this you're best shot is probably to look at guides online for different things you wanna do, a lot of those would point out all of the math the game doesn't necessarily tell you, and probably would point in the right direction of finding out these really specific facts. There's only one Rayquaza, plenty of room for Clefairy and Clefable to sneak by

Their music choice is great too. That song is the "Card Battle Theme" from the "Pokemon Gameboy Trading Card Game". A great game with some good bops.
Its also very common for baby pokemon to get better moves than their evolved counterparts
