They not make various washable replacement filters that will filter out pollen etc. This filter does not filter out pollen (the screen filter) The one Eric used is a pollen filter. They also make activated charcoal filters to filter out odors from around you while driving.
Just to clarify the models. 2007-2010 are 1st Generation Edges. 2011 through 2014 are known by Ford as the 1.5 Refresh. The 2015+ are the official 2nd Generation Edge. The air filter of the 1.5 and 2.0 share similar builds. The 1st Gen is different. So this concept the above statement that it covers the models 2006 through 2014 is incorrect. Also even though it says above model 2006 there is no such thing as a 2006 Ford Edge. All production models made were tagged 2007, production actually began in Oct of 2006 for the model year 2007. I found that on my wife's 2013 I didn't have to remove the glove box, just emptied it and took off the clip holding the cable to give me plenty of room for replacing the filter.
It only applies to that model year. Different access for model years after that. 2011 and up are different and require removal of pins and the cord damper is on the left side. Might want to change the models you are refering to on this video. I know I have multiple video on this for the 2008 and 2011 model years. Like your videos though. So do not take this wrong. Just want to be sure people understand things change with the model years as they adjust. MACTFORDEDGE on youtube.
Does anyone know what the compartment directly above the air filter is? There is a curbed rubber door that slides open and closed right above the blower motor and air filter and mine is faulty i believe
How do I change the full filer? Spark plugs in the back ? I've changed the front plugs. Reprogram my radio.. ??? Obviously the battery can't just be changed without holding your mouth a certain way. After placing in my New battery.. My radio screen went black.... Nope it's not a touch screen. It's basic.. 2014 ford edge 6 cylinder sel 4 door..... Please respond soon. My car is dien .
What the hell is that stupid screen supposed to do? Do you know why it doesn't it have a real filter from the factory? That big ass screen won't filter out jack.
+Mark Wallace It was designed to be washed and reused. Unfortunately it only filters out the big stuff. Not an effective filter, just a screen like on your screen door at your house.
The damper is loaded with a spring tension to slow the door when it is opened. Without the damper attached the door will not just fall out of the dash. It will only fall open very fast and then strike the two catches on the sides causing the door to stop. The damper is nothing more than a way to slow the speed the glove box door opens. Sort of like a shock absorber keeps a tire from bouncing while it goes down the road.
I am sorry, I am not sure why you stated to take off the glove compartment. All you had to do is remove that cable string that is hooked in the glove compartment and squeeze in the sides to have the glove compartment down. I thought I broke my glove box by following your instructions. Sorry no good for me
I remove all of my cabin air filters, because in the winter, they restrict defrost air flow to the windshield, and It takes forever to defrost. In the summer they cut the flow, of cool A/C air, to my hot body. I think this is just another worthless replacement part, Detroit, want's us to buy.
i love photographic, just necessary info, straight to the point and done instructive videos and that is you sir thank you!
Thank you, Eric. Your instructions are very much to the point without any extra stuff added to it. Thank you!
You made this so so so easy. I did in real time with you. Instructions were great. Thanks a bunch

Saved me $45 Thank you!
You just saved me $55! Thanks!
Holy moly! Something you can do to a Ford without having to take it to a dealer.
so you replaced that screen with an air filter? right?
Nice job and well explained.
Awesome!!!
Thanks so much! Super helpful. Instructions were perfect for my 2008 Edge.
Simple & easy. BTW, you can also easily remove the damper cord to avoid damaging it (it's on key hole mount) ;)

Have a 2013 and the air filter is in the exact same spot; so it does apply

The audio jump was quite interesting at 1:05. "But we will be installing artulture today"

Fuel filter
Dude I can’t seem to get the hinges put on right to get the glove box on
What the hell is that stupid screen supposed to do? Do you know why it doesn't it have a real filter from the factory? That big ass screen won't filter out jack.
Boy, I wish I knew how easy this was sooner. The old filter was just caked with crap!
I just replaced my cabin air filter today on my 2011 Ford Mustang and it has almost 80,000 on it and it had never been changed
So we don't need the screen anymore?
+Tommy Oz I was thinking the same thing was wondering if you can just wash screen out.
+Mark Wallace It was designed to be washed and reused. Unfortunately it only filters out the big stuff. Not an effective filter, just a screen like on your screen door at your house.
OH OK
+adkonn1 Thanks for clearing that up mate. It looked like it could maybe fit both the screen and the filter in the video, but I wasn't sure. Cheers!
Excellent...😊😊
What does the damper do?
+Green Usher (MJ Reyes) Keep the glove box from just flopping down and hitting you in the knees.
+MAC T But in his other videos he disconnects the damper first and it still doesn't fall.

+MAC T Oh okay, now I get it. Thanks A LOT! :)
+MAC T I had a stereo component style sony dual cassette deck with that feature on the tape doors in the early 90s ^_^
This does not apply to the 2014 Ford Edge.
My 14' has white pins that must be removed. Not sure this guy knows

Nifty!
That doesn't work on a 2010 why does your say 2007 through 2000 whatever that doesn't work on my 2010.
Раз уже снял так помыл бы диффузоры
Changed filter, checked coolant, still no heat in my 2013 Ford Edge. Now what? kg
Broke the stupid hinges on the glove box taking it out. American made? Eeeh
Dealer charge me $240 for this piece of sh*t
