CHRISTMAS DAY 2017. Beautiful Colorful Video Art Work - SO IMPRESSED !! I Listened To This Whole Thing Through...... Now I Gotta Get On EBAY To See If I Can Get The CD !! Beautiful "Brass" Instrumentals - Reminds Me Of The City Bands That Play Their Music OutDoors. HOPING FOR A BETTER NEW YEAR FOR ALL IN 2018. Merry Christmas To All, And To All A Good Night. Happy Holidays. I think this Brass Ensemble recorded under the name "The Cathedral Brass". That might be helpful when searching. If you can't find the actual CD then you can always download the MP3 from the sight on IMSLP (Petrucci Music Library) at imslp.org/wiki/Category:Rondeau,_Michel
+Stephen Bottom You're a trumpet player, I see. I'm debating whether or not to do more Michel Rondeau videos. There's quite a bit more on his website I could do. If I get a good enough response on RUclips I may do some more next year. I've tapped out his Christmas recordings, though, so it will be Baroque classical music. It appears I'm the only one that has uploaded Rondeau's stuff on RUclips so far. The response has been fairly good so far.
Would you prefer to see less abstract backgrounds in my videos? I'm open to suggestion as to how I can make my videos more appealing. My channel ain't exactly going viral - which is OK, but a bit more traffic would be nice. I'm pretty much bored with the kaleidoscope angle and I've tapped it out anyway. I think I'd like to have Baroque-era landscape paintings as the background to superimpose my clip art on in future videos. This is what I'm planning in the future: suites of music by Bach, Telemann, Krebs, two suites featuring obscure Baroque composer, and a Renaissance suite. They'll be pretty long, so it may take a while, .
Oooh this is lovely! I adore the sound of classical brass. It's so hard to find, I became interested in it through an unlikely source, someone I know shared the songs that were brass band parts of the original Wicker Man Movie. I found it fascinating. Another instrument I like is the carillon. Do you know any songs that combine a brass band and carillon sound?
@@christophermacintyre5890 I wish I had the means to try something like that out. On a MIDI program I could combine brass with tubular bells but it wouldn't be nearly the same.
Hello! I'm currently making a Christmas video and I was wondering if I could use "Deck in the Halls" in it? Of course, I will mention you in the video description!
Certainly...feel free to do so. Make sure you also mention the performer Michel Rondeau as it is his recording under an attribution license. It would be especially helpful for you to leave a link to my channel somewhere that people could access as well. Have a good holiday.
A Google search claims that "bergere" also means "shepherdess" in French. It can also mean a hat straw hat of the type worn by shepherdesses. I'm not a French speaker so I can't really say for sure.
What beautiful arrangements. Unfortunately I cannot find "What Child Is This" on the Variations pdf page. What is the translation? Merry Merry Christmas!
+Ellen Goedtke Yes, it's public domain. This stuff is tucked away in a fairly obscure section of the internet, but here's where you can download it for free: imslp.org/wiki/Category:Rondeau,_Michel. Now, once you're on that page, you need to click on the "As Performer" tab, which takes you to all of Rondeau's recordings. When you get to the individual page for each piece, either right click and "Save As" on the "Complete Performance" link, or click on "Complete Performance" and then right click "Save As" when the music player page shows up. It's a bit annoying, because everytime you navigate back to the main page, it reverts to the "Compositions" section. You'll need to re-click on "As Performer" to get back to the recordings section. You'll have to hunt for all 23 sections that I used and download each of them. Or you can just make an MP4 video copy off of RUclips, if you have downloading software. You can get RUclips downloader for free which will do the trick. That's just a quick two-step process: get the software and download the whole thing video and all. If you want just the music (gasp!) then you'll need to convert the MP4 video to an audio MP3. You need an MP3 converter for that, unless you get the full paid version of RUclips downloader. A free MP3 converter I use is called "Format Factory" , but there are others. You won't lose any sound quality because the files are only 128MB to begin with. Well, maybe that's not much easier than the above option, but if you save it as MP4 you get my video too as a bonus! I think that just about covers it. Don't forget to "like" this video and subscribe to my page, as there are many other Michel Rondeau and Christmas videos on this channel as well. Oh, and Merry X-Mas in advance.
