😄 Thank you! I've had this video saved for about a year now because I knew I would need it. And, today, I followed along and your tutorial was great! Very helpful! All people should be able to repair and tinker with their devices without fear of losing warranty or other. Thank you, Self love development! You have done a great service for the world :D! 🎉🎉🎉
Wow... thanks! I've been having trouble with my charging port for a while now and have to fidget with it to get it to charge and then make sure nothing touches it. LOL! I am so happy to know there is no soldering involved to fix it. Thank you so much for sharing this!👍
I just changed My port thanks to your video, so thank you.. What I would really like to know is where did you get that screwdriver? Is it battery operated? Where can I get one... Thank you very much
note to anyone doing a repair. make sure not to put the old parts back in lol. saw the new port just chilling next to my driver set and was like "well shit" 😅 also if you dont have a heat gun a bag of beans heated in the microwave for a few minutes works well for melting the glue too.
I did this with heat gun and all.. pretty flawlessly I'd say. Put it all back together and the phone lights up vibrates.. even made noises on boot up. But no image what so ever dispite the backlight working fine.. only video I've found with any info discribed lg phones not being powered down regularly prior to repair holding some sort of charge.. my question is what does or how does this held charge effect the screen in the end?
Idk if anyone here can help but I just opened mine up and in the back inside of the glass there is a scratch in the black rectangle sticker (right under the camera, to the left of the finger scanner) it has what looks like a check mark or a W written in marker next to it. Is this something I should be conserned about or is it just a factory error that was checked by someone? Is that tape/sticker important for something?
PS - it seems this might be a good time to install a new battery while it's open especially if you've been using the phone for several years. Eventually the original battery will become weak.
😭😭😭 cracked my back glass while I was removing it😭😭😭ugh alredy ordered the replacement and it got me thinking... is there an adapter I can install that will make this phone capable of wireless charging???
Hmmm , if the back glass is cracked then it will crack more once you try to remove it . Requires professional level expert. Beginner I wouldn’t suggest it.
UPDATE: For the last 4 hours, I've been intermittently heating my phone in a heating pad I use for my back in an attempt to remove the glass cover. The cover was a bear to remove but I FINALLY got it off; however, I almost destroyed the little copper cable to the left of the battery (whatever it is).😢 I didn't break it completely in two. I bent it pretty bad and had to bend it back in place so I hope it won't cause me problems.🤞 I'll give another update once I've installed the new charging port. Original comment: Omg... I can't get the back cover off! 😡 I think I need one of those thin metal pry tools you used but I do not know what they are called in order to purchase one. The charging port I purchased came with screwdrivers and little plastic guitar pick looking pry tools to open it with but even after wrapping my phone in a heating pad on high for a half hour, the plastic pry tool snapped in two and I still cannot get the back off. I think getting the back off is probably the most difficult part of this repair. 😢 I really do not want to take it to a repair shop after having spent the money on parts, glue, and double-sided adhesive tape. If anyone can tell me what that metal pry tool is called I would be most appreciative. Thanks.
Don't know whether to replace the charging port/battery in my Stylo 6 or to replace the LCD on the Stylo 5 I liked so much more. I get the feeling this isn't an uncommon repair for the Stylo 6; what a disappointing phone. At least it's an easy repair. 👍
I replaced the port and now there is an echo on the phone of someone who calls me. I noticed that if I remove the glass back and someone calls me, the echo is gone. Any suggestions?
@@selflovedevelopment1417 clean what? The sponge was missing, but I put a piece of sponge there and like I said, it only echoes when the back glass cover is on. What do you suggest I clean?

The sponge in front of mic might not be there or check the mic locations n clean

Arturo C but the right part so it helps rotate the sound or change the microphone again if that doesn’t work at first
