I've had a full-body panel for 18 months and love it so much! It's excellent for rashes, scrapes, even skin tone, fading scars. I had a red, itchy rash across my chest after pulling a bunch of weeds in my garden. No benadryl or creams, just 10 minutes of red light therapy and it was entirely gone the next day.
@@deborah4941Mine is from Platinum LED. I'd recommend watching panel comparison videos from Alex Fergus on RUclips. He goes into great detail on specs, what you want based on your needs (body size, main use purpose, budget), and where each company ships in the world (if you're not in the US).

Hi Cassandra. I’ve used my red light panel for the last 15 months. I am 58 years old and I have experienced all the benefits mentioned including my eyesight improving. Also all my oral health improved as well. Another thing is my eyebrows are much fuller. I love using it. I cannot explain calm and happy it feels after using it. I took a deep dive (of course) before selecting which panel to buy since there are a few things to consider. I found a book on Amazon that was extremely helpful in choosing a panel and treatment times. The book is The Ultimate Guide To Red Light Therapy: How to Use Red and Near-Infrared Light Therapy for Anti-Aging, Fat Loss, Muscle Gain, Performance, and Brain Optimization
Which panel are you using? I’ve researched a little & I’m thinking about Hooga because of the price, seemingly good infrared light, & reviews.., but I’d love to hear from other people who aren’t influencers or selling them.
@@crose84 I found the book by googling the title. Downloaded it for my Kindle. Reading now. That book will have all of us running to get a red light panel! 😀
Lol what the heck I followed Pigmie a decade ago for break dance tutorials when I was in high school and now he’s made his way full circle into my skin care videos?
I use red light therapy, and these are the results I've noticed: Helped with muscle recovery Helped with my acne Helped with my scars Helped with skin elasticity all over my body Helped with mental clarity Helped with pain and stiffness Helped with collagen building in the face Helped with sleep Helped with fat reduction Helped with hair loss
I’m a night shift nurse and have been using a red light panel to help with sleep regulation for a few years. Not sure if it is placebo effect, but for me it works wonders .. 👍🏻
I remember YEARS ago, I believe it was Neutrogena that came out with the red light face mask. It was like a 30 use disposable thing and kind of expensive considering you had to throw it away after it stopped working because you used it all up. Then they stopped making them and I didn't hear about it again. This was around the same time that a local tanning salon that I would go to got a Red Light Therapy bed, which is why I went since I don't need to go tanning. I would go for my skin issues, and it was so relaxing. I didn't hear about red light again until a couple years ago, which was SEVERAL years later. I wish I would've kept up with it throughout the years.
The 30 use disposable thing was a marketing scam, you could actually just rewire the controller to use it unlimitedly. Their bullsh*t about needing a 30 use controller to “get the right dose” was just so that they could keep making money off the device and was a horrific waste of plastic
I have a panel light like Cass's, but smaller. I'd say the magic of red light is amazing! I've been using it on my scalp for hair growth for about 5 months now and have seen some good results. (I know hair follicles grow in about 180 days, so I've been pleasantly surprised to see some minor results in 5 months!) And I've found that it works faster on minor symptoms, I took a whim while I was shaping my scalp and used it on my neck for about 10 minutes because I had tonsilitis and my throat was super sore. With no medication and just using the red light, on the second day, my throat was completely pain-free! This reinforces my belief that red light is a good thing!
Whenever you get a cat scratch run to get it cleaned immediately with soap and water, apply an antiseptic and monitor for signs of infection. If not it could turn dangerously ugly, real ugly.
You ain't lying! I was holding one of our barn cats and one of the horses kicked the wall in it's stable, it scared the cat and it scratched me as it jumped outta my arms. I got sick not long after with what I thought was a flu, a really bad flu. It turns out I literally had cat scratch fever from the bacteria/germs from under the cats claws. I lost like 15 pounds and the lymph nodes in my arm pits got really swollen. The doctor said if I waited much longer to be seen I could have died. It was a very scary and painful experience and the inexperienced PA I saw first didn't make it easier, the doctor I insisted on seeing knew what it was right away 🙏
I find it helps a great deal with arthritic and over use pain. First, I loosen fascia with gentle massage and long strokes for a few minutes. I have a small red/amber/near infrared (120 lights) and when any body part hurts, pinches, or acts up I apply the light device directly to clean, dry skin. For good measure I keep the room dark to get the most benefit. You can apply a water based lubricant to keep the area hydrated. Nothing oil based: it disburses too much light. Water conducts: better for the light. 6-8minutes every day until you feel better. It's fun. Best regards.
I gotta say, I have had double hip replacement, and have had to have steroid injections in each hip every three months since the surgery. I purchased a 4 panel set up from Platinum LED, the Biomax 900’s. After only 30 days my pain is gone in my hips. My doctor is amazed. Im completely sold! My face and skin are phenomenal. It’s an A+ folks!
I've got some pretty bad acne, so I started using RLT to calm the inflammation. I bought the BQ60 from Bestqool and have been using it for about two months now. Honestly, I’m not sure if it’s all in my head or maybe because I’m sleeping better, but my skin’s been way less red and irritated, and I’m not breaking out as much. The stinging and acne flare-ups have really calmed down.
27:39 the hair part is still a bit confusing to me… so in the hair growth study were they using the near infrared light? For muscle health and recovery as well as hair growth the near infrared (830) works for that? But the 660 strength works more on the collagen, skin elasticity, texture, etc. Cuz I don’t want to grow hair on my body, but the other benefits from near infrared sound really great, and you mention it’s different than just light shining on the body, so I’m just confused how it did help the people with hair growth in the study! Thank you for this super informative video!! ❤❤❤
Hi Cassandra I really hope you see this comment 🤞🏼 as a fellow hair loss girlie I spend a lot of time doing research on the subject and I came across a scientific study on the use of ketoconazole for the treatment of female pattern hair loss and the study basically said that 2% ketoconazole was as effective as 2% minoxidil without as many side effects because of ketoconazoles anti fungal and androgen blocking properties (they do say that treatment with ketoconazole takes longer to notice an improvement) I know you’ve been using minoxidil recently but another thing mentioned in the study was that using minoxidil and ketoconazole together could be more effective than using either one separately. I’m not sure if RUclips will allow me to post the link to the study for you to have a read of but I will try! Side note: my son uses 2% ketoconazole shampoo a few times a week to treat seborrheic dermatitis and he has very thick hair that has to be thinned out every few months so maybe the ketoconazole is helping with that? I’m going to give it a try and see if it helps but let me know what you think. Much love ❤️🦋 Link to the study: biomeddermatol.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s41702-019-0046-y
I have a small panel I use it on my face and backs of legs and tops of legs and knees ( in bed while I’m Doing skin care 😜) and after 8 months I went to the beach and my legs are soooo much better . I’m thin but have always had cellulite and add to that I had lost weight and am older there seemed like NOTHING would ever help again WRONG. I can’t believe the difference I hadn’t set out to do this for cellulite but rather just for mitochondrial health and have read studies that show red light on one part of the body will stimulate mitochondrial health throughout the body . It isn’t just localized . And so I figured shining it on my leg bones would help and help stem cell production One thing though I have a cyst on my left ovary ( it had been removed and keeps coming back ) but it had changed as I was initially using red led on my stomach ( another area I wanted to improve skin) but have stopped using it there . However I probably could turn off the NIR and continue but was a bit spooked . But I’m here to say Wowzer had it improved my cellulite and area around my knees Amazing
I think you touched, at little in the beginning, about the affects on vision. I'd love to hear a little more about that. I've used the Omnilux mask for a couple oIf years. I swear my vision has improved. I require my glasses less. I use both readers and distance. It's not perfect by any means, but if I forget my glasses, I can manage without them.
I was pretty excited to find out that the vet does some red light/laser therapy to my dog’s surgical site after her spay. It was included and I got to nerd out with the vet. 😂
Years ago when I used to go tanning I would leave the stand up booths like higher then anything else on life like so happy skipping and doing cartwheels to the car to where my mom actually questioned if I was high 😅aha. I’ve never found anything else that ever had that impact on me. So I could believe lights of some sort ( ones Id hope not as damaging ) could be endorphin boosting. It’s the only thing I truly miss about tanning ( now so pale it’s hard to find foundation so yes those days are long behind me) is the endorphin high because having chronic lifetime depression really is debilitating and life crippling. If all I need to do is save and get a light panel to then be able to go join the real world outside id do it so fast it wouldn’t be a second of hesitation. And heal my scars that I never can go a day without someone pointing out and saying something about caused by medical practitioners who really should not be practicing that cause me so much shame and embarrassment that adds to the depression and isolation yeah I’d find a way to get my hands on a panel to save my life
Can you do a video ranking red light panels? Husband and I are thinking of getting a few. Me for skincare and him for muscle recovery (he's a gym rat). Also, a little off topic, but would you make a video ranking blue + red LED devices (like wands, not necessarily masks) for acne? There are like 7 devices I'm having trouble picking out of, including the LightStim for Acne and the Current Body Acne Wand. Would love your thoughts!
Thanks for this! I’ve been so confused about lights, lasers, non-light emitting mats and saunas and what helps with different types of rejuvenation, and when protective goggles need to be used since I used to have the Neutrogena acne light mask and they took it off the market based on the effect on eyes. My health was starting to worsen and some drs were giving me far infrared saunas paid by insurance. Eventually I got a portable one and a knockoff Celluma pad and biome. Thought they were maybe not doing much, stopped using them and healthy took a turn!
Two weeks ago I purchased a pro300 from Amazon for muscle recovery from running workouts, and every night I irradiate it for about 30 minutes after a run (sometimes with my dog), and it seems like it really reduces muscle soreness a lot!
Hi, Cassandra! Would love your opinion on the maysama mask as this one is a red light therapy mask that also has blue light and also has pulsed light, which seems to set it apart from Omnilux and Contour body.
I would love for you to try the reusable silicone pads overnight with the mask to hold it on. I watched a girl do it and it really significantly reduced the appearance of texture, but i would love to see more people try it honestly before spending money on it
I have to wonder if the potential mood boost isn't more from the fact that you're taking a 10-20 minute brain break. Sitting in front of a light like that for that long could just be showing the benefits we've seen from meditation practices. With that in mind, it could be exceedingly more difficult to measure a psychological response specific to the red light because separating or isolating those responses from one another and other confounding variables would be difficult.
We took our teenager to a red light "spa" (I can't remember what it was actually called) a handful of times to help with depression because it's supposed to help with serotonin (this was based on 2 studies, one with PSTD patients and we were desperate because her depression was at that point)
I’m really curious about bone marrow density and worry for people with something like a Leukaemia. It is something they need to be aware of? You see I make too much haemoglobin and have too much iron, calcium and potassium in my blood. I have scars that I want to get rid of on my face as I have had them from a dog bite on my face all of my life and if I could get rid off them it would be fabulous. I would love to find out. Thank you. May you please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
Hi cassandra, I have been using Red light therapy to treat eye fatigue. After researching, I found that specific wavelengths of red light are typically used in eye treatments because they improve blood circulation and relieve eye fatigue. I have been using RLT on my eyes consistently for the past few weeks and feel like it's working, but I would like a more detailed examination. Any recommendations?"
I bought project e before discovering your channel. I’ve never had an issue with it - it never shocked me and it doesn’t have those metal dots. I’m in the uk tho so maybe the ones sold over here are slightly better? I don’t know! Mine doesn’t say whitening on it tho. Altho when I lived in China it was hard to find skincare without whitening products in it - it’s just a preference they have. English roses would rather be tanned!
What red light hand held device would you recommend for the stomach? I had my 3rd baby a few months ago and I’m so discouraged about my loose skin. I’m so thankful for the video you shared about unrealistic body image portrayed online. I needed to hear that when I was at a low point🙏🏽 My pelvic floor therapist recommended red light to help with the loose skin on my stomach but I have no idea where to start or even what device to get? I would really appreciate your help!
Hi Cassadra. I do have a smaller version for the upper body as I suffered from shoulder issues. I love to use it whenever I feel cold as it warms me from the deep. Muscles acing after sports gets better faster. For you gut issues. Have you got a lot of oral antibiotics for you acne? if yes get your gutteral bacteria checked. It could be that the balance in diversity and numbers are not on a positive side. The bacteria diversity in our gut is so so important and lactobacillus is not the one to cure it alone. There are about 100 dif.species known yet that should live in our gut to hold it in a healthy state (digesting good, get all nurrients we need, hold the mucosa healty and prevent cancer). And yes the skin can benefit too.
Hey Cassandra! So after watching this, I thought that this might be a really good treatment for my mom. She’ll be 65 soon and this looks like the perfect gift. She gets sore muscles easily, gets strained shoulders on a regular (and also goes to physical therapy for it every time) and she’s been complaining about her hair thinning at the front and crown area (which her endo says is due to hormonal changes. She has hypothyroidism and has had her ovaries removed a decade ago). Do you think red light therapy will help her? Or has there been any known studies that show that it might affect the hormones? My mom is also pre-diabetic and hypertensive so she is very skeptical with a lot of these new science techs.
Is anyone aware of the red light therapy available at planet fitness? They call it total body enhancement or the machine is called beauty angel. It combines a vibrating pad choosing between 5 levels (off to intense) and red light therapy (the google says it is 630 nm). The regular time is 12 minutes. I try to use it 3 times a week. I have osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis so I'm hoping the vibrating pad translates into bone maintenance (there are clinical trials that support this but have no idea if this is an ideal vibration frequency) and the red light translates into decreased inflammation. If it works, this is a great way to get red light therapy for the cost of a $25 a month gym membership. But one question is, how much is enough and how much is too much?
This is absolutely true. Dr. David Lim also discusses how the spectrums of light affect Melasma. I had my Melasma worsen within days and I am in a Melasma group with thousands of people who have had the same experience.
I thought she said it was the blue light for acne that was the issue for Melasma? Google “Blue light has recently been reported to lead to hyperpigmentation because it activates the production of melanin in your skin. Darkening can occur within 20 minutes of exposure while it also may lead to long term darkening, including melasma.”
@@SaraAshley116 I know there have been studies on different spectrums of light exacerbating Melasma. NIR is one especially because it emits heat. Melasma is not only photo sensitive, but can also be vascular. Dr. Idriss actually had Melasma and I think for that reason is leery to recommend a device especially one that has risk involved for Melasma especially. It is such a tricky skin condition that I would not wish on my worst enemy. Hope that helps 🥰
I've heard about the red LED panels and happen to have some LED grow light panels. They are 12 inches square and have 117 red LED at 620 to 680 nm and 52 blue at 450 to 470. I wonder if these would work as a red light for the body solution. I have 14 of them!
Cassandra, I really appreciate how thorough and detailed you are in everything you investigate. I am looking forward to your 30 personal evaluation. I know some and maybe all of these panels are very expensive, probably way too expensive for me. Are there other handheld devices beyond the SolarWave (I think I got that right) that could be used here there and everywhere and cost much less? And I must say your very pretty cat is seriously camera shy! I hope your hand is okay. I’m sure you’ve cleaned it well, but check on your tetanus shot. Hey! Have you noticed that iRestore just came out with an LED face mask, the Illuminata?
Hi, are there any studies that include women of various skin colour? I've used red light on my face and found it caused patches of my skin to go lighter. So it would be nice to know if people with other skin colour can use red light therapy safely. Thanks.
My fear is that if I use red light on my body, it will increase my body hair. I am already a hairy lady as it is. I want to try it to see how it works on my scars/stretch marks on my stomach, but what if I help hair growth???? Hairy stomach 😔
Cassandra, please separate your short and your main Chanel, I keep getting notifications that you've posted videos and getting really excited but then seeing that it's only a RUclips short.
I have been observing my acne results while using a red led mask. It's difficult to compare because acne pimples and scars can heal differently due to many reasons. I haven't seen any spectacular results, if any, I haven't noticed better scar healing. And, by the way, NO effects on wrinkles. I'm still using my mask because I paid a lot of money for it but I'm like...meh.
I feel the same way about it lol. A lot of it feels like placebo overhype, especially from people that say “so I’ve been using it for like a month and see so many drastic improvements all over my body!” For me, it’s a privilege and a luxury to spend such money on these items and then have the time to dedicate to using them. By the time I’m done with work and my daily routine with the family, I just want to do my basic skincare and go straight to bed - no fiddling with lights. The best improvement I’ve had with fine lines and wrinkles is retinol, retinal, boosting my collagen intake (as collagen cannot be absorbed through the skin, so any expensive creams listing it as an ingredient and claiming it will boost it is a joke), ceramides, plenty of hydration, a good toner and moisturizer, and using sunscreen daily. Don’t smoke. Don’t drink alcohol. Get plenty of sleep. Eat healthy, and cut out major sugary foods. Get outdoors to get some natural sunlight and walk a bit and stretch - that’ll improve the mood way more than a light. The hyperpigmentation on my cheeks has lightened drastically over a 4mo period, the 11’s on my forehead and the fine lines coming from the corners of my eyes has decreased greatly and the skin is more plump and hydrated …. and I didn’t use any light. Maybe it works for some, but a lot of the other people I’ve talked to in real life that has used one of these lights has talked about how it feels excessive with one coworker talking about how pompous she feels she sounds when she mentioned it to her friends about using “red light therapy” lol.
@@TwoBs I use retinoids and take collagen. I don't see any effects, so I have to believe that it I didn't do it, I would look worse. I have tried taking photos over time of my face to see the results, but I stopped doing that because I couldn't appreciate any changes. I'm like really sceptical about everything now but I still do my skincare, however, I lost the joy of it🙄

Have you tried the iRestore face mask? I'm considering the hat for Christmas, but is the face mask comparable to the Dr dennis gross mask?
I have a small panel
I use it on my face and backs of legs and tops of legs and knees
( in bed while I’m
Doing skin care 😜) and after 8 months I went to the beach and my legs are soooo much better . I’m thin but have always had cellulite and add to that I had lost weight and am older there seemed like NOTHING would ever help again
WRONG.
I can’t believe the difference
I hadn’t set out to do this for cellulite but rather just for mitochondrial health and have read studies that show red light on one part of the body will stimulate mitochondrial health throughout the body . It isn’t just localized . And so I figured shining it on my leg bones would help and help stem cell production
One thing though
I have a cyst on my left ovary ( it had been removed and keeps coming back ) but it had changed as I was initially using red led on my stomach ( another area I wanted to improve skin) but have stopped using it there . However I probably could turn off the NIR and continue but was a bit spooked .
But I’m here to say Wowzer had it improved my cellulite and area around my knees
Amazing
Not her cat at the end 😂😸😸😽
That dress! 🙌🏽 love it!
Alex Fergus dedicated his youtube all about Red Light Therapy
I love and appreciate you and your channel! Can you recommend a hair brush for dry, wavy hair please?
Awesome video thank you!
Two weeks ago I purchased a pro300 from Amazon for muscle recovery from running workouts, and every night I irradiate it for about 30 minutes after a run (sometimes with my dog), and it seems like it really reduces muscle soreness a lot!
I love my panel its only a medium size but its great, ordered my solawave RADIANT RENEWAL 2-in-1 Skincare Mini for on the go to hopefully help
Injuries? Ok I think I need this. I have Ehlers-Danlos and sprain, strain, and just hurt myself constantly.
Did I really catch a live?😊
Hi cassandra, I have been using Red light therapy to treat eye fatigue. After researching, I found that specific wavelengths of red light are typically used in eye treatments because they improve blood circulation and relieve eye fatigue. I have been using RLT on my eyes consistently for the past few weeks and feel like it's working, but I would like a more detailed examination. Any recommendations?"
I wonder if the fat loss aspect is hinting toward a possible future discovery for a non invasive way to spot-reduce fat
I think I'm wired different because the sight of these lights actually makes me feel stressed.
you're supposed to close your eyes and wear tanning sunnies.
I am in the UK too and have the same mask. It does not have those metal dots and no whitening. It is heavy but works perfectly
Hi cassandra love your channel
I am using a led red lamp because I love the color and it's great to see that it also has affects lmfao!
Do you think the Beauty Angel machine at Planet Fitness is effective?
Thanks for your sharing. Would you like to share products that have yellow and green lights?
Great video! Question - which glasses will be the best to use while doing red light therapy?
Please review the Jovs light therapy. I see it all over TikTok
Are there any studies on RLT for massive weight loss and resulting loose skin?
Is it safe for tattoos?
Where are you finding these studies? I'd love to find and read them!!
total body enhancement at PF girlies unite!
I am really curious about the wraps this company does. Would they also help with skin / hair stuff ?
Now I’m curious
Recommendations on cleansers for a 12 year old struggling with acne? she’s becoming self conscious. She’s got normal skin but she sweats a lot.
I've heard, from Dr. Idriss, it can effect melasma negatively, so I'm scared to try any sized device 😢
@@StefanieMorgan-b3r oh and even working out and getting can make it worse. It’s super tricky.
@@SaraAshley116 I know! It's so unfair. No hot weather. No hot baths or showers. It can get worse for me just opening the oven door.
I've heard about the red LED panels and happen to have some LED grow light panels. They are 12 inches square and have 117 red LED at 620 to 680 nm and 52 blue at 450 to 470. I wonder if these would work as a red light for the body solution. I have 14 of them!
14?
@@Jax_4466 Yes, 14, used for early planting and seed germination in winter in my gagare.
How the red light therapy panel is helping with hair growth? How much close you need to be?
Is the 830nm+ better for skin or just muscle recovery?
"she didnt like that she is from Tijuana I guess" 🤣🤣
Can you up load your tik toks to RUclips shorts I am ANTI tik tok
Congratulations on 2.3 mil I think I have been here since 25k ☺️ damn time flies
I miss you!!!
Cassandra, please separate your short and your main Chanel, I keep getting notifications that you've posted videos and getting really excited but then seeing that it's only a RUclips short.
He just wanted to show his abs! 😂😂
It sounds promising enough to justify the price, I mean self love right 😉?!
A lot of it feels like placebo overhype, especially from people that say “so I’ve been using it for like a month and see so many drastic improvements all over my body!”
For me, it’s a privilege and a luxury to spend such money on these items and then have the time to dedicate to using them.
I'm like really sceptical about everything now but I still do my skincare, however, I lost the joy of it🙄
Human peptide... I found such a thing in a face wash ingredient list... Isn't that kind of creepy?
I love mySolawave and Megelin red light devices! The Megelin fits perfect over my back, shoulders, chest, stomach, rear etc. my Solawave for eye/ forehead area is absolutely wonderful, my eyes are brighter, glowing underneath and my forehead area is smoothing out. The Megelin and Solawave are fantastic products and they DO have the power mentioned! Please don’t knock them!
