What concerns me is that in a shtf situation, 99% of all gun owners, RUclips influencers, etc, are all talkin about buggin out and hidin in the hills. But if the government is sending tens of thousands of troops out to squash all resistance, who’s fightin back when everybody is fleeing? That’s exactly why all of the immigrants are comin here. For one, they gave up their guns, for two, they don’t have the courage to fight back anyways. Same with California. Everybody’s fleeing California so communism/socialism I spreading and taking more control of the state. Same with New York and the north eastern states. If everybody keeps fleeing rather than holding your ground, rallying up with like minded people, and fighting back, then the government will win. I hear people talkin about “you so called patriots think you can fight against drones and jets”….well, it would be a good strategy for let’s say 1,000 patriots to rally up and raid the local Air Force base, and sabotage their aircraft and communications. In the middle of the night, 1,000 patriots raid the armory and sabotage armored vehicles and personnel carriers. That’s how I think rather than bugging out and hidin in the mountains somewhere, but that’s just me.

Very clever and well planned choice on the matching 14.5 BCM’s (I love BCM anyway) If either of you ever ended up with each others guns for whatever reason, then you should feel right at home with minimal adjustments.. NICE!
My current SHTF set up is a 14.5 inch KAC SR15 mod 2 upper on an LMT lower w/ a KAC MCQ suppressor. I just need to get a magnifier to go with the aimpoint t2 i have mounted on it.
If we are talking about a shtf country wide scenario I think you need to have a kit to support it. Side arm, fighting rifle, precision rifle and be proficient at shooting range, 22LR survival rifle with plenty of ammo, armor, med kits, plate carrier, rations, radio and most ideally a rural quiet environment that you can sit out the conflict with your family and defend.
You should pick different scenarios to build around. As unrealistic as zombies are it would be interesting to see each persons pick, especially different zombie types from movies. Some other scenarios that might affect the decision is a rise of the machines scenario, red dawn, and total anarchy. Take your pick.
The Tavor would be a very good option. I’m a little surprised no one went with a suppressed .300 Blackout AR-15 with about a 10” barrel, but I’m guessing the disparity in ammo availability vs 5.56mm is a big part of that. That said, if .300 Blackout ever becomes a widespread NATO round, then it would be at the top of my list!
LMT MRP 12.5” 5.56. LMT MWS 13.5” 308 and 20” 6.5CM barrels. If I had to choose one, the MWS. Very modular for every purpose, carrying an extra barrel is lighter than carrying a full upper. Can go as far as dropping the 13.5” 308 for a 14.5 6.5CM MRGG style build, a very capable 1000yd setup.
To be the one doing the shooting is one thing, being the one getting shot at, is a totally different matter You learn so much more if you practice being under fire,
To me, the SHTF preference is all in how you frame it, and I think you can frame it generally in one of two ways: 1) Practicality in terms of commonality/availability 2) Practicality in terms of performance & application versatility If I'm going with #1, then I'm going with a 5.56 rifle with a roughly 14" barrel range. There's no question that 5.56/.223 is the 9mm of rifle ammo. If I'm going with #2, then I'm going with an 8" to 9" .300 Blackout rifle. It's just SO versatile. Whether that's shooting various ~110-150gr supersonics that can take down medium game in a hunt or large, heavy 220gr subsonics, it's performance is stellar, AND all out of a short barrel, AND using the same 5.56 magazines.
9:53 the whole point of the 45° offset for a red dot is that you shouldn't lose your cheek wield, whereas with the top mounted red dot, you DO lose that cheek wield
My go to shtf weapons are my great lakes gl-15 223 wylde, 16", midwest industries qd scope mount with a vortex strike eagle 1-8x24 and top mounted holosun 507c red dot, magpul flip up irons, streamlight pro tac weapon light and my shadow systems mr920 9mm. Simple setup for me.
I really feel like,it comes down to what your comfortable with and available at hand, 5.56 always seems to win. Gold and silver I'm not convinced on, if shtf its gonna be like that for a while and who cares about money, food water ammo i think would be more important trade.
Wyndham Weaponry RMCS-4 (+1) my modular rifle system fires 7.62x39, 300 blackout, .223/556 NATO, 9mm, and .22 LR. With a barrel, bolt carrier, and mag well change in the same time it takes to load a 30 round magazine you can swap out the caliber you are firing. The kit is a little heavier, though, as it has three barrels, three mag wells, and three bolt carriers in the hard-shell, but the versatility of it makes it the ultimate SHTF rifle.
@@settlesmachiningtools8671 It is an amazing platform, and I think it trumps all other suggestions down below... I mean when they run out of ammo what are they going to do? I can loot and most likely find ammo I can shoot, 9mm and 223 are everywhere in this country. SHTF probably means take what will be your only weapons for a loooong time if not forever. I'll take the Colt LE6920 and either Sig 226 or Beretta M9/92.
300 blackout suppressed is my go to. Can use it for home defense, hunting and if need be take suppressor of and use reg ammo for further distance situations ( up to 100 yards). My second would be the 308. It’s second choice because of weight and noise. It does however beat the 300 blackout in distance situations.
Good currencies for when money loses value: ammo, coffee, cigarettes, sugar/salt, liquor, common otc and prescription medications (opiates, antibiotics, etc), dried beans/rice, flour.
My SHTF setup is a 14.5” pin & weld AR15 with a LPVO (1-6 cuz I got a lot of woods where I am) but I also have access to an ACOG w/top mount red dot if I need to save weight. Always have a flashlight, ppl
My current goto is my self built 458 socom. Tromix barrel, 2a upper and lower, tromix BGC. The advantage here is, I can drop the upper, snatch up a upper off any other AR, rob their mags, and be on 5.56.
As a civilian I’m assuming I’m alone in a full on shtf or with very limited backup. So I’d probably go with a 308 piston ar since it’s the largest most reasonable common round you can find that can defeat most armor. I’d also go with a 18”-20” barrel since I’m aiming to end fights before people know I’m their so I’m staying atleast 600 yards away with a thermal scope. I don’t have a medic so I consider getting in a close range fight to be the end. I’d also go with a nearly silent suppressor for 308 like the huxwrx flow 762 ti. So… SWORD MK-17 308 (dirt brown) HUXWRX 762 flow ti Suppressor cover (dirt brown) Trijicon Reaper 60 Holosun 508t Green (offset sight) Arisaka offset mount PRS Altas bipod Streamlight ProTac 2.0 Holosun Lg117 green laser Magpul Sling (brown) Magpul vertical grip (green) Magpul rail covers (green) Magpul iron sights (foldable)
I'd use my Glock 21, M1A SOCOM 16 Squad Scout with Bushnell Trophy MP ACOG, and PSA AR-10 with ATN THOR IRNV scope. You always need a good close, medium, and long range loadout.
Adams arms 7.5 p2 for car rides out of town , work, home protection and PA-15 16"NITRIDE M4 CARBINE 5.56 NATO MOE AR-15 RIFLE W/ MBUS REAR, ODG Side arms, sig sp2022, my work horse glock 17 gen 3 both pistols have 3 dot night sights .
Here's my most important thing, it needs to have commonality for parts replacement as/if necessary. So, the X95 while a good weapon, it not in the running for me. I think an LPVO with an etched reticle is the best way to go in case of EMP or lack/loss of battery power. Flow through suppressor to help reduce the back pressure. I think I'd go with the Spear myself; it might be limited parts availability now, but the parts availability is only going to increase as it gets into circulation more with the military. I trust piston guns more than DI guns. DI's require more cleaning and maintenance, than most piston guns do/would.
PWS MK 218 .308 w/NF NX8 2.5-20 F1 & Trijicon RMR2 offset... .308 availability & stopping abilities. Don't forget, CQB was being done with 20" & 14.5" with break so 16" All the time in Somalia, Iraq & other AO.
i run a 300 blk supressed setup for my shtf weapon. i know its not practical, but thats why i have an AR. easily could find a different upper if i needed. in fact i have a whole nother 5.56 10.5 upper that ill carry with my ruck. i just want the pure scilence for the beginning so i make less noise while i lead to safty.
if it's not a 223 autorifle, you dont want it. If you dont have a silencer and night sights on it, trigger job and scope OPTION, you dont want it. If you dont have a subsonic ammo option that cycles the bolt, you dont want it. If it lacks a 22lr covnersion unit, you done want it. It if wont take down and conceal in a normal-citzens pack, you dont want it. All of those attributes are very important, and the lines dont cross in very many places.
If i think im staying, 18" DD5 V4 with 50rd magpul drum. If i think im running, 12.5" DD5 V4 with 50rd magpul drum. Either way, Sig XTEN with RMR and extended 20rd mags on my hip
once the longarms come out, no pistol is going to amount to a hill of beans, no matter what it is or who is using it. So keep it out of the way, out of sight, out of the elements in front pants pocket. make it a single stack 9mm so you can practice now with cheap ammo, so it's controlable in rapid fire, so it looks like a wallet in your pocket and so you can beat the drop (starting hand in pocket, sidestepping as you draw.) Have velcro on the mouth of the pocket, so you can seal out dust, mud, etc, if you have to low-crawl.
Ughhhh I’ve been wanting to get myself a college graduation gift and can’t decide between the hk mr762a1 or the LMT MARS and this feels like a sign lmao
It also depends where you live - can’t grab a 762 in the heavy east cost where aks are illegal in most states and you will only find 556 versus like Texas where 762 much more prevalent
How can one purchase one of these firearms already set to go, like the one pcc/rifle on the right...the one Jason is holding IWI Tavor X95 16.5 5.56 bullpup
If they've worked the kinks out, I'd also go with a Bullpup. And to combine Flexibility with Capability... I'd pick the Desert Tech WLVRN (Wolverine) in 308. I'd grab a 223 barrel conversion kit as well. Heck... I might also grab a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. That way, short CQB action... long range defense use, HD, Hunting... it can do it all.

Me and my wife each have a BCM 14.5” pinned and welded with surefire warcomps, and I have a norinco type 56 SKS with bayonet and tapco 20 round mag. And my Glock 17 gen five and my wife’s sig p365X. Planning on picking up a Remington 870 soon.
Yugo SKS w/ Tapco 20 rounders is my first gun at age 19 for $300, 17 years ago!
Very clever and well planned choice on the matching 14.5 BCM’s (I love BCM anyway) If either of you ever ended up with each others guns for whatever reason, then you should feel right at home with minimal adjustments.. NICE!
Solid choices. Stay strapped!
@@hypodrake my SKS is laser accurate at 30 yards. Haven’t pushed it out further yet

Kaya... 😂 Priceless "write a letter attach it to your ammo"...... 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
My favorite set up would be the bullpup with Clint's optic
My current SHTF set up is a 14.5 inch KAC SR15 mod 2 upper on an LMT lower w/ a KAC MCQ suppressor. I just need to get a magnifier to go with the aimpoint t2 i have mounted on it.
Loot drop
best option out there, there's nothing better out there!
Sick setup
DDM4A1 Eotech combo surefire light with a blue force gear slings. Slick light dependable.
Thank you for being true American patriots standing together for the 2nd Amendment! God bless you!
My go to is my Henry X 45-70 in full Ranger Point Precision and Costa handguard.
More of SHTF set up vids! This was good info.
Love to see some kit on here too 👍
You should pick different scenarios to build around.
That said, if .300 Blackout ever becomes a widespread NATO round, then it would be at the top of my list!
.300 aac subs are easy to make your own cheap.
Just want to say… I was gonna skip through the sponsor, but because it was Matt, I watched the whole thing.
I know right!? I thought he would have an entire back wall collection in gold! 🤣🤣
I'll grab my sks, model 12, and canik tp9. Yes, im a fud at 30, but those guns will literally survive anything, and i already own them
LMT MRP 12.5” 5.56.
To be the one doing the shooting is one thing, being the one getting shot at, is a totally different matter
You learn so much more if you practice being under fire,
You can buy all of the parts for an X95 too and just store them away.
If you can get them. IWI sucks at restocking parts.
Have been waiting months for a firing pin.
Waited a year for 308 galil ace 7.62x51 parts
If you know what Israel is really about I can’t see anyone wanting anything made by them
AR parts are everywhere.😊
@@StevenSmith-pt8rzI will give you that.
im with Clint on the rifle set up with Acog. Im not reliant on batteries for my scope. It's always on... its combat proven.
To me, the SHTF preference is all in how you frame it, and I think you can frame it generally in one of two ways:
1) Practicality in terms of commonality/availability
2) Practicality in terms of performance & application versatility
If I'm going with #1, then I'm going with a 5.56 rifle with a roughly 14" barrel range.
I'm a fan of precious metals. They are good for wealth preservation. Brass and lead/copper are a good investment as well.
PA Micro Prism 1x ,3x or 5x. With a Monstrum 2x forward magnifier.
More companies need to make these forward magnifiers.
Clint is on point with this one.
9:53 the whole point of the 45° offset for a red dot is that you shouldn't lose your cheek wield, whereas with the top mounted red dot, you DO lose that cheek wield
@@ChappySinclair If I'm turning my rifle 45° anyway, I might as well shoot with my dominant eye
Glock 19, Sig 516 pistol, Ruger LCR .22 3in, Mossberg Shockwave SBS, Ruger MVP LC 308
I'll go with Kaya. The 45° are close range. Perfect cheek weld isn't necessary. I may go longer range optic. Definitely suppressed.
I had to look it up man i like the idea of having a rifle that can change calibers
@@settlesmachiningtools8671 It is an amazing platform, and I think it trumps all other suggestions down below... I mean when they run out of ammo what are they going to do? I can loot and most likely find ammo I can shoot, 9mm and 223 are everywhere in this country. I mostly leave mine configured in 7.62x39 since I like that punch...similar to 300 black out and 30-30 Winchester.
It's nice seeing how much this channel has grown. I still remember when it was just Clint in the videos way back when.
Love the choice of the x95 I currently conceal carry the IWI Masada and I would easily pick the tavor 7 so I can the extra firepower of the 308
The x95 is my shtf rifle so I was happy to see Jason’s pick

I'm with Jason in a bullpup. I'd go with the DesertTech WLVRN in .308.
My 22mag, my colt M4, and my Glock 19.
Ruger 22/45 suppressed with a brick or two of CCI standard velocity and extra mags.
That McClean Sling is awesome!
I love you too
T10 slings for me with the swinger on mine. Love their stuff…
Kaya's setup 100%. That is THE rifle in my mind as close to a do it all rifle as I consider for shtf. Piecing together my own version with that exact barrel. Beautiful shooting barrel, but with keymo for hub compatibility.
Matt does a great job with sponsorship clips.
All good options!!! Jason... man... understood the assignment! You got me rethinking my go to... very well thought out and you make make great points. Now I gotta put a bulllpup on the to buy list lol. Would love to see more of this topic content in all aspects from you guys!!!
I love my X95. It got me hooked on Bullpups. Don't like shootings AR's as much any more. Waiting to see the new Desert Tech, and P90 to add.
EXCELLENT Content Brothers!!!! 🙏🇺🇸🙏
SHTF probably means take what will be your only weapons for a loooong time if not forever. I'll take the Colt LE6920 and either Sig 226 or Beretta M9/92.
You matched my choices exactly. 🇺🇸👍😳
300 blackout suppressed is my go to. Can use it for home defense, hunting and if need be take suppressor of and use reg ammo for further distance situations ( up to 100 yards). My second would be the 308. It’s second choice because of weight and noise. It does however beat the 300 blackout in distance situations.
"I don't have to trust the government to love my country."
Facts
Good currencies for when money loses value: ammo, coffee, cigarettes, sugar/salt, liquor, common otc and prescription medications (opiates, antibiotics, etc), dried beans/rice, flour.
Ammo and essential commodities would be the only thing of worth during shtf
My SHTF setup is a 14.5” pin & weld AR15 with a LPVO (1-6 cuz I got a lot of woods where I am) but I also have access to an ACOG w/top mount red dot if I need to save weight. Always have a flashlight, ppl
My current goto is my self built 458 socom. Tromix barrel, 2a upper and lower, tromix BGC. The advantage here is, I can drop the upper, snatch up a upper off any other AR, rob their mags, and be on 5.56.
One DI 13.7 pin and welded with an lpvo nox muzzle streamlight. Second 13.7 piston with an eotech and magnifier nox muzzle and suppressor
So…
SWORD MK-17 308 (dirt brown)
HUXWRX 762 flow ti
Suppressor cover (dirt brown)
Trijicon Reaper 60
Holosun 508t Green (offset sight)
Arisaka offset mount
PRS Altas bipod
Streamlight ProTac 2.0
Holosun Lg117 green laser
Magpul Sling (brown)
Magpul vertical grip (green)
Magpul rail covers (green)
Magpul iron sights (foldable)
I'd use my Glock 21, M1A SOCOM 16 Squad Scout with Bushnell Trophy MP ACOG, and PSA AR-10 with ATN THOR IRNV scope. You always need a good close, medium, and long range loadout.
Mentioned dot at the top as best reticle for lpvo... Maybe do a video as to best choices in scopes and reticles. Would be greatly appreciated.
14.5 urgi with lmt lower. Vortex lpvo, SF rc2, b5 sopmod buttstock, mkm grip, streamlight weapon light, kac stubbied forgrip, backup irons and painted. Thats what i have..

I don’t buy precious metals unless it’s brass/lead/powder. Can’t eat gold or silver, but you can hunt for it! 😊
Colt Modular Carbine (AR901-16s): .308 + .556 Conversion Kit + M4 Upper. Solved Clint's issue, one lower & 2 uppers.
Great point DI for ease of repairs. I'll take a flat shooter over light mitigation.
Glad to see a piston operated firearm in y'alls presentation
11.5 sig tread, DD Fixed irons, Holosun AEMS, magpul grip, SBA3 brace, magpul ms1 sling and eventually I’ll SBR and put a YHM Resonator K on it.
if it's not a 223 autorifle, you dont want it.
Great choices guys. All Good.
Need to think about ammo long term and if you have to scavenge or what you expect to find on un alive. 5.56, 9, .22.
No Galil? Come on!

First choice X95, then Galil Ace, then Noveske.
i miss alec in here so much
once the longarms come out, no pistol is going to amount to a hill of beans, no matter what it is or who is using it.
Awesome video! Great points to think about! Loving the banter 👏
Stoner 63a Commando my personal choice
How can one purchase one of these firearms already set to go, like the one pcc/rifle on the right...the one Jason is holding IWI Tavor X95 16.5 5.56 bullpup
CZ 452 22LR bolt action suppressed. Never running out of ammo lol
