Pretty easy to make them as well. If you’re running on a budget due to dumping all your money into badass rifles and gear you likely don’t need but certainly can’t live without. A ranger band and some make shift cover from a bottle cap/milk jug cap/ Gatorade cap is more than sufficient.
03:50 Regarding WML: For the average private citizen, they aren't going to be running NV. To mitigate accidental activation, light-caps should be used such as what 100 Concepts offers.
Multiple setups. Home defense options are a Scorpion evo 3 with a holosun SCRS and white light (streamlight). Running a BCM vertical (but it’s still slanted) grip. Also have my M&P 2.0 Metal with a surefire X300U-A. Can run as my CCW as well when I wear a jacket. CCW: Shadow Systems CR920P, got the compact light as well. Love how dude stands next to him and waves his hands in his face when talking in the beginning. What a knob. You could tell the SEAL Commander wanted to get space between him and the guys around him and definitely could!
Bro most average Joes need a red dot, light, and ammo for training, that's it. I keep seeing too many ppl with their NVs and IR stuff like if they're going to be drafted for special ops tomorrow.
If you have a push button tailcap, the light should be on the support hand side (left side for right-handed shooters/right side for left-handed shooters) that way you can actuate it with your non-firing hand. If you ONLY have a tape switch, I'd say get the light on the firing side to keep it out of the way and prevent back lighting when clearing corners/doors. Right-handed shooters will prefer a barricade on the left side so they can peak around and not expose too much of their body. (Vice/verse for lefties) If the light is also on the left side, it is highly likely that they will light up the wall in front of them, rather than where they have their muzzle pointed.
Sling should be near the back of the rails and at the base of the buffer tube on the plate. That gives you the most maneuverability when manipulating the weapon. Also, when you're shooting, your sling should really be around just your neck and not still under your support-side arm.
I carry my pistol daily irons only and I only ever will use irons. It is a perishable skill and you should be trained with irons above all else. As for my rifle, just a regular Ruger AR-556. Has a foregrip and it's setup like a standard M4. Has the A2 sight and gas block out front irons only right now. I want a pulsar thermion thermal and a good ol ACOG which I can swap out one for the other depending on the situation. Getting a rise armament LE145 trigger for it as well as a captured buffer system and a cryptic coatings dlc bcg. Then I'm getting a Mclean Dynamic Retention sling because it's the best out there currently I'm sure Clint would agree.
I and many other shooters would disgree about offset red dots being inefficient or whatever, raising your head yet even more over an already high set LPVO is just touch and is slower than rotating the weapon and picking up the ref dot on the way same axis as the LPVO.
I’ve heard it explained that white lights are useful in daytime to check darker spaces such as dark hallways, crawl spaces, closets and basements. Places where there is minimal light even in day time and wouldn’t really be practical to have nods on in the day and flip them up and down everytime you find a darker space. The guy 100% knows what he’s talking about but his experience as a special operator doesn’t necessarily translate 1 for 1 for armed civilians. Listen to what this guy says but think about what actually applies to you in your life. Things that worked for him may not work in Ukraine, and things that work in Ukraine may not work in Israel. You must adapt to the battle you are in
I have a red dot, flip up iron sights, sling on my rifle. I grew up in the iron sight era and put more than 100k rounds down range in my life. The extra stuff looks call of duty to me. The lasers, lights, optics are not affordable to the common man so get good with iron sights and then work your way up from there as you can afford. I am not military or police so thats my civilian opinion.
I rock the cloud defensive OWL fit my light. It’s great because the pressure pad is built into the top of the mount which is part of the light so you have zero cables. Pricy light but it’s amazing.
This video made me buy a Burris AEPR 30mm QD scope mount. I currently have a 45 degree offset red dot but I plan to transition to Nightvision someday. And easy movement between 1x and magnification made alot of sense with top mounted red dot on LPVO
So far as light AD's, you want a pressure switch on top, but you want it to be a recessed switch also. You dont want to be able to set it off if you bounce it off your gear. A recessed switch solves that problem to some degree.
8:04 why red dot and not etched reticle if “crazy astigmatism”?? I’m new forgive me if it’s a dumb question. I have astigmatism too. I always wear prescription safety glasses when shooting
I'm not a Navy Seal but I don't place my buttstock on my bicep when shooting. It appeared that way w/ first rifle. Lights should and always be part of the basics of rifle setup. One of the best things about Cloud Defense ls light switch because it absolutely has to be intentional. And if you take and wrap it with just one layer of camo form tape and you are not getting any light NDs. They also have a protected rim around half of the button also Making it even harder to light ND. And one of the reason I like it is it has its own cable management system and it comes with the light. Unlike Surfire, Modlite and arisaka and can go own. And I love all those lights, but for the money, best bang for you buck. CLOUD is the way. But my favorite like is the Cloud Rein Micro 1.0. Perfect throw range, still wide spill. And I forgot another plus, loud gives you rechargeable batteries and a charger to charge them with. I mean it hard to me. I trade my Cloud in one time and got the surefire turbo. Which is a very nice light. But I sat there contemplating my chase. I trade light, pressure switch and nice mount and also the battery charger. The whole package. Still had to put towards it as well and all I had was a light put out a helluva beam of light. But no real benefit over what I had. So next day I returned and got my Cloud back. I may have even still lost money on the transaction but it didn't matter to me. But anyway thats my 2 cents on lights. 😂😂

Run all PWS. Just solid Long Piston systems. Best AR Platform on the Market.
Jim is awesome! I've got all of the accessories except a can on my rifle. Not legal in my state.
Seal team commander is also cross eye dominant. Makes me feel better about my wonky shooting methods. I refuse to buy left handed guns when the only thing I do left handed is shoot carbines and rifles.
Jim glad to have you doing these videos! I LOVE my Ferro Slingsters!!! Looking very forward to your insights and wisdom/knowlege !!!
6:03 Is this the SEAL Team Six shooting style I hear so much about? Grab that thang
the 1st was the best one ,just add a VG/OG magpul AFG1 for heat 🔥,a RD/magnifier with fixed white/glow matte painted irons (_*_) behind paddle/pistol lights (Tlr1/7A/PLM2/etc) at the 12’ position, and those slim socket set fwd KAKs 😂are great for keeping your lights new and freeing up some space up front however an absolute must on 11-7.5s for SD/HD 💥😵💫😂
To deal with the "AD" of a flashlight on your gun, I've seen some folks put a cap on a bungie for it for that exact purpose.
Ok we like the navy seal guy 💪 keep him coming back and we will too
What are you using for holsters with lights/lasers?
Also cans?
I dig these videos and really dig his positive feedback! I did learn a few things and will be changing things up on a couple of my guns. Thanks, as always. for a good informative video!
@ClassicFirearms is always doing content using and promoting high-end platforms! honestly I would like to see Classic Firearms, do more content, with and using low budget priced platforms, such as Anderson Mfg, Diamondback, Radical, Del-ton, etc. etc. etc...
Diamondback and radical shouldnt be considered an option, spend a little bit more and get something leaps and bounds better
Damn man I was hoping for more roasts. I guess its nice to know that our guys knows what they are doing since we are learning form them. 😅
Good luck, SEAL Team.
With you all the way 🌟
Can't believe how that Seal grips that foregrip lol. You'd think he would C clamp around that and the barrel more. And wow that chicken wing is wild lol
I thought all comments would be saying this lol
2 things to always remember: KISS & Smooth is slow, slow is fast.
Couldn’t have said it better…
I think the saying is "Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast"... Just sayin'...
Good Job guys, for a bust your build there wasn't too much busting.
What's wrapped around the forend of that first rifle? Company name?
He keeps mentioning the “bungee” to hold the sling. I use bicycle innertubes but they have downsides. Can I get a link to a better bungee?
Gotta love that crisis troop FID on the MCX virtus
Kaya is killing it. Good energy and same warm feeling 😂
550 and a D ring. Single point, can drop & take up pistol, and its material you likely already have. Slings are for pogs, (ppl who wont be using their weapon).
Any chance on getting the navy seal fulltime on the team? This would be awesome!
Is that an aero precision solus in the back?
Great info… awesome builds Jason
