Ngl I think as when the seasons goes on Yang just wanted to live without of concept of family. The last time Yang felt pride and love for her family was JUST to get to Ruby so she could look after her and not ending up like Summer but all of that changed when she finally met Blake after Beacon/Vale fall. After that her main focus was on Blake not Ruby, until when she found real happiness with Blake she fail to notice her responsibility as a sister and her main goal to look after Ruby.
Could possibly happen! With only two episodes left for this volume and my belief that they won’t drag this plot point onto volume 10, I believe Ruby Rose will be saved and restored by the final episode with that spark of hope restored within her.
If Yang doesn't feel immense Greif and Strife over losing Ruby, imma no longer consider those two as Canon sisters. The only one this season that took notice of Rubys downward spiral this season was Weiss.
OG ruby rose? Yes. Though the tree is going to reincarnate her as some new version of herself with no memories of her past life. So she's not entirely dead
@@WilliamX5000 still, Yang is and *SHOULD* feel immense guilt over failing to take notice of her sisters deteriating mental state. She's probably going to be VERY overprotective of the new ruby out of fear of losing her again. Honestly Yang **REALLY** dropped the ball very bad at being the older sister Ruby needed.
@@linked2dio26 I guess, but I feel people shouldn't be just blaming Yang on this. It was also kinda Jaune's fault for giving her a hard time about things.
@@WilliamX5000 nah, but yes. Jaune definitely didn't help rubys mental state. But Yang kind of didn't do anything to try and prevent it. Yang failed were Sun succeeded. Sun continued to help Bland in Vol 4 through 5. In spite of Bland saying she didn't need it, and its thanks to Sun. That Bland was able to stop the Whitefang and save her family. Aswell as become a better version of herself.

And Little. I went back and watched the other volumes. Yang does try- things and cats, curious or Blake, keep getting in the way.
