JoesGE.com is a pretty cool place (depending who you talk to it might be more than pretty cool. But hey, I'm just writing this down so that it says something down here, because that's more professional right?) and if you're still reading along at this point you might as well sit down and grab some popcorn because this is about to trail on about how we are this premiere repair service located in Washington State North of Seattle in basically the "Armpit of the US" near Mt Baker (Mt Baker has the world record for most snowfall at 1,140 inches in a season).
All this to basically say that we are all addicted to coffee and stay in the warehouse for ridiculously long hours in order to keep up with the demands of the youth for these two-sided head audio devices and speakers that float when you throw them in the ocean or in your bathtub to test if they actually float. On top of that, we do like it when less stuff ends up in landfills so we hoard everything on shelves with wheels so that we pollute less, it just sits in our warehouse losing molecules slowly over time degrading to become smaller and smaller.
If you are still reading at this point you deserve an award, or a high five, or something because you must either be the most patient person on the planet, or you read blogs frequently. And if the latter is the case, then this whole thing must seem pretty short so let's keep going.
We do some really interesting things here at JoesGE which are frequently documented in our sometimes weekly sometimes never vlogs.
Also, if you are wondering how we keep up with the demands of the people so well, its because 90% of the people that work here are all Russian around getting things done most of the time. Yes, that was a pun, you are welcome. We hope you have a pun-filled day, because who couldn't use a few laughs? Наука
Hello all, unfortunately, we have stopped servicing the Beats Solo 3 headphones. We will still be selling the parts. You can follow this link - bit.ly/3QNLdaz - to purchase any parts you are looking for.

Noooo please do mine. I’m so sad. One side keeps going in & out and only works when it’s horizontal 😭
@Joesge please can u tell me how to make one main wire myself… i cant buy it from u my shipping is 70€ and i dont think it will ever arive, what type of wires i need i see they are 6
Hey, thanks so much for the video! I was able to self-repair after my headphones were broken and out of warranty. The right side wasn't working and now it is 😁
Glad we could help!
I’m having that exact same problem 😡 warranty just ended.
How much does it cost for a right hinge repair
What was wrong with it that made the right side not work because I'm having the same problem
Can we pay joe to fix mine
Just finished this repair. Very tedious job I’d never offer it. I work with cellphones so it was pretty straightforward. These headphones were recycled at my work and the right side was not working. I’ve tried in the past to repair the cable but they would never last. This time I just opted for replacing the whole cable and so far so good. My daughter is gonna be happy with them!
Happy yo hear you got it done.
Thank you guys so much for making the video! I was the one who asked for help and I never would have thought someone would be nice enough to make a video for it.
Our pleasure! AP
For all those who has problems, with one side only in wireless.. you got to start looking for broken wires at the 5 Core Wire Clip... on the LEFT side...
The 5 core is a big problem on these headphones.
Lol, I watched your whole video patiently paying attention to the step by step process of getting the headphone fixed, and hey, it was worth every second, very well explained. Loved the things you wrote in the description too 😂. Thanks for the video, will try to fix my beats in the next few days and it will be extremely useful. 👍🏻
Your very welcome. Let us know if you need any more help:)
So how’d it go Jessica ? Hm? Tell us it’s been a year now
Excellent video! I actually did it with zero soldering experience and it worked. Took me a couple hours but my beats are fixed. Thank you !

Fellow Western Washingtonian here, send y’all my solos 3s tomorrow! Great work!
Rock on!
Thanks for the video mate. I just replaced the wires on my daughters headphones that wouldn't turn on at all. All good now. Much appreciated.
Happy to help. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe for more content like this!
I have two headphones like these one is not working on the right side so I greatly appreciate this video. I will one day fix it because it has nothing wrong with it cosmetically
You may have a bad 5 core wire.
@@Joesge thanks for the input
Amazing video, so easy to follow, was able to fix my beats with no problems. Out of curiosity, where is the microphone component?
Its in the bottom of one of the panels
These look like my Solo3 headset compared to your other videos. I just don’t see any damage to those wires you are replacing. Is the idea to just replace them because that is the problem most of the time? The wires you sell for $40 to diy repair or can just send in full headphones to repair for $70.
1. What type of glue would you recommend to reapply on the electronic parts? One-component UV adhesive will be good and for it just a simple UV lamp for nails?
2. For reattaching the battery iPhone adhesive straps will be enough?
The tape should be okay. We use B7000 for all of our repairs.
I have 2 Beats Executives that have the same issue. Only one side works on each. Where can I send them to that does these exact models?
Thank you guys for this quite wonderful video! My beats solo 3 is not charging or turning on at all but working fine using the aux wire. Also, when i put it on the charger the charging lights don't turn on and it gets warm after 10-15 minutes, would give me a clue which part needs to be repaired??

Great video. Thank you!
You are welcome!
I don’t know if it was the music or the calm voice but I watched this entire video like I was in a trance… I don’t even have beats 😂🤓😂
😂 Glad you enjoyed it:)
how do we know if the problem is in the speaker or the wire or the wire needs replacement
Try a reset and see if that does anything.
Great video, thanks for taking the time to put this together.
Glad you found down value in the video :)
If there is no sound on the right side of the headphone, what do you suggest is the most likely problem? If wire replacement, which should I buy from you guys? Thanks. Just using the headphone jack. never tried bluetooth before.
You could have a bad 5 core wire.
There are links in the video for all of the parts
Cool work.

hi sir, my solo3 volume having an issue it lower the volume by itself. do you have an idea what seems to be the prob and also i cant turn it off. thank very much.
Have you tried a reset?
Where can I get the
Main wire
So I replaced the whole main wire already no problems. However my power button does not respond, it turns on but when I try to power off the beats it doesn’t respond... nor when I try to “connect to a new device” what do you think is causing the issue?
Maybe a bad solder point? Or a 5 core wire which is way easier to replace than the main wire.
Hi I am telling you and highly professional respect and excellent work and thanks Uk jey

My rights side isn't working, but I don't know if it's the main wire or the 5-core wire. Can u help since I'm trying to DIY and not wasting money on something I don't need.

You really manhandled that Li-Ion battery, I hope it never breaks when you do that, it'll hurt.
Yeah he almost stabbed it with the metal tool
Im wondering what he smoked before filming this
@@maxh2755 probably the fumes of exploded batteries
So I have a question my left side of my beats gotten torn off from what it looks like. Could you please make a video on it if you could I can send a picture of what the headphones look like

My Dr beat solo 3 right side works on and off i have to move it around for it to play sound.. What's the problem please can you give me any advice
Sounds like your 5 core wire is bad. ruclips.net/video/YfkEljAsMts/видео.html&ab_channel=Joe%27sGaming%26Electronics
My beats Left side complete fell apart and the ear muffs fell apart aswell and the three wire things (?) are out and I don't know what to do or how to put it back together (I also think the wires are fried) anything I could do?
This video shows how to put the whole unit back together

hola amigo en que pagina puedo comprar el cable para cambiarlo?
Aliexpress
do you know the type and size of hinge screw used in the solo beats 3?
Its a philips screw. 2.5 i think
Thank-you so much!
I need help my Beats won’t turn on so when I open up the headphones and I see the connector plugged in, that’s when I plug it out. Then when I plug it back in again that’s when the lights start turning on, but I start seeing all the flashing lights then a red light flashing. But all the lights go away after and I’m left with one white light on the headphones. Does this mean my battery is dead?

What part would I need to replace if my headphones were damaged by rain water and they won’t turn on please?
I’ve worn mine for nearly 3 years in all weather and workouts and never realised they weren’t waterproof.
That is until this morning when it proper chucked it down with rain during my jog.
I feel so stupid as I know you should never turn anything on that’s been exposed to water. 😩

if i cut them n tie then back together will they still work?
I don't think that will work
The left arm will bend but will not slide in to make smaller fit

My beats solo 3s recently stopped turning on, however the battery still charges and sound still works on both sides when using an audio cable. Ive looked everywhere but im not sure which part in my headphones needs to be replaced.

What was the symptoms on this repair?
There are many symptoms to cause you to do this repair. This one was no power.
JUST FINISHED THE REPAIR. I SHOULDVE BOUGHT THE SPEAKER INSTEAD SMFH.
Edit: just curious if it isn’t the main wire or the speaker what could it be ?
Could be a small 5 core wire inside.
Contact support@joesge.com and we can better assist you there

"You don't need to be THAT careful..."
5 minutes later
"You might want to be careful"
It's not like we're repairing expensive headphones or anything.
😆
=) Very nice instructional video nonetheless!
Just saved me $$$
So glad we could help 😊
my headphones snapped in half on the left side and idk who fixes these headphones and idk what to do!!😭😭😭😭
Never mind I found another video of yours and now I know how to fix my problem. Thank you for posting🥹👍🏽
Hello, you're very welcome. Thank you for the comment. Please like and subscribe for more content like this 😊
does it void my warranty
Yes it would void the warranty. If your headphones are in warranty, then I would send them back to wherever you got them and get them fixed.
Bro how did u solder the wires its so hard 😭
It just takes alittle practice and time. I personally have soldered like a million wires over the years
Can you fix mine
Hello, unfortunately, we do not repair this device anymore. We do sell the parts at www.joesge.com though. - Aaron P
C’est drôle c’est toujours simple quand vous le faites en video moi perso je n’arrive pas du tout à démonter quoi que ce soit !!!
Beaucoup, beaucoup de pratique et de patients
I can't even get the panel off..
The pry tool helps alot. Slide it up the crack between the panels
You are VERY lucky that battery didnt catch fire !!
Brooooo my solo 2 had screws under the rubber ur video did not show i broke my fuckin headphones trying to pry it off
I'm sorry this didn't work out for you. The model that we showed a repair on was a Solo 3.
It had looked like they just fell off
👍
Looked this up because my Beats don’t beat anymore.
this is kind of bullshit. I mean yeah im sure he can fix this but no one at home is going to be able to do what hes doing. He says "you dont have to be careful" and totally negates telling you that all that shit is glued down.
For all those who has problems, with one side only in wireless.. you got to start looking for broken wires at the 5 Core Wire Clip... on the LEFT side...
The 5 core is a big problem on these headphones.
What if the right side is the side having problems???
