worked perfectly! I had 1 pair of solo 3's a while back and the Bluetooth just stopped working, aux still worked but wireless was dead, so I stashed them away and bought a new pair. 3 years later this pair's left side stopped working, so I grabbed my old pair whose wireless didn't work and exchanged the left side speaker to my newer ones following this vid. now both sides work again. Only thing is now the old ones with the broken Bluetooth don't have a left side lol but I was never going to use them anyways. Thanks again!

How did you determine that the cause was driver failure? Are there other things that might cause there to be no audio from the left driver?
I lost my beats solo 3 an I found it laying right behind my heater An it’s kind of melted the plastic but it still works fine

How do you know if it's the speaker or jack? I get sound...but the sound is "off"...don't sound right. Left side. It sounds like when you don't have the jack plugged in right...but I've tried several different jacks, wiggles, and intrusion depths.

When I connect to Bluetooth my right side only works, then when I connect using the aux both speakers work, don't really understand what the problem is. Wondering if you ever had these headphones that had this problem before if soo can you tell me what's causing it?

I have some beats big donut ears… red with aux in on both ears. Each side works when the the cable is plugged on each ear but the one cable won’t make both ears work any idea I’ve bought a replacement cable from Amazon but no luck

I know this comment is 3 years late, but posting for others in the future. On my beats 3 the driver WAS glued into the casing. After you remove the headphone jack you can get a thin-blade knife in under the driver to pry it out. It wasn't that easy and a little intimidating and I damaged my old driver taking it out. Clean the old glue off the replacement driver (its a green wax-like glue) and glue the new driver into the case. I used Loctite Vinyl Fabric and Plastic flexible adhesive. Thanks to Joe's G&E for the video and replacement driver. Fixed my 'phones.

On my right side of my headphones no sound comes out unless I put my hand on a certain spot on the left side then the sound will start playin on the right side.any ideas???

do you have the beats solo 3 glossy black headband part? not the rubber part on the bottom yhe hard plastic one on the top that says beats.
Try inserting and removing the factory headphone cable several times. I did this and issue was resolved. Seems like it just gets corroded and causes something to lose connection after not being used for a while.

My beats don’t have screws. They have some small pin indents. I think one of them fell inside while I cleaned the adhesive off. I want to open them but I’m not even sure how the mechanism works 😞

+Antonio Mercurio you have to see if the speaker is cutting in and out or if it's dead. Also you can take the working speaker and solder it to the other side to use it as a controlled variable.

That isn't normal. Sometimes this could be a cause of an AUX internal wire.
