Followed your videos for both Right and Left panels. Hardest part was soldering those tiny wires all next to each other, but I successfully did it! Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you for such an informative video. As an owner of the studio 3 Special Edition Shadow Grey, I have learnt that these headphones need to be well maintained and most parts are based on screws and adhesive.
Thank you very much for this Repair Tutorial - I used this tutorial and repaired my pair of Beats Studio 3 that had a similar crack on both inside and outside panel. Appreciate you putting this out there. 🙏🏼
"5. Unscrew the screw holding down the speaker housing" this screw got damaged while removing. Have to order it but dont know the size. Would really appreciate it.
Thank you very much for this fantastic tutorial. I must say these headsets are very bad quality for the amount of money they cost. Mine broke twice, once under warranty and once out of warranty. One more little piece of advice: on the micro USB connector the two red cable are not interchangeable, so don't mix them up. Found this out the hard way ;-)
@Christian Bahr Hey man I am having a lot of trouble re-soldering my wires together. I am a beginner at soldering and don’t understand what isn’t being connected. Do you mind if I email you pictures of what I have done, so that you can inform me on what I have to fix?
Is it possible to remove the outer cushion that sits between the outer hard shell and the inner piece? I have a red and white pair and would like to switch colors. I have switched the main pads but the outer pads are still red.

Hey there, thank you for the video! I bought my device reconditioned and there is glue absolutely everywhere including over the soldering once I saw this it kind put me off. Scared to make it worse. Is it possible to send the device with all the parts that need to be changed?
Just did it! With mostly success. I had to leave all the screws a bit loose, because when i tightened them there was a loud vibrating noise when i make it tight, and when i loosen it goes away, any idea as to what it could be? it speaker related i think
I just replaced the right panel and got everything back together. Unfortunately, it charges, but the right speaker does not work. Any hints on troubleshooting? Does it have to be one of the two speaker wires, or could it be one of the five small pins? It looks like the bluish wire connects to the left most contact, and the red and black, braided wire connects to the farthest right, but I couldn’t quite tell from the video. Many thanks!

So I attempted to do this with your parts. Now I get the white lights blinking then a red light then the white lights and this repeats prob 3 times. Any ideas?
What connection is shown at 13:52 with the rubber? A red wire connects to it. I was replacing my battery and accidentally ripped the wire out of the soldering. Do I just solder it back to the little circular piece?
Joe...Great video. Helped me replace the inner pieces on my Beats Studio 3. I was wondering what soldering iron and heat gun you use. I've been researching buying one and can't seem to find one that is small like the one you used in this video around 06:29. All the ones I have seen online are all those huge ones you use for drying paint. Please advise. Thanks.
Help needed, i have it wired back to where it is charging however the speaker itself is not working. Can you please help with how the blue wire is connected
Now I’m a little paranoid, I’ve had my beats studio 3 for about 3 years now and they are still in perfect condition, not even a scratch yet. Now you have me worry that they will crack out of nowhere.
Mine broke… shattered… I’ve babied them and no one else has used them. I don’t fold them, don’t travel with them, they sit right on my desk or they’re on my head.
I noticed you don't use flux or any additional solder when soldering. I've never done this before. Are just using the solder that's already on the charging port/speakers?
@@Joesge forgive my ignorance, I’m a industrial maintenance technician and process engineer. I have not taken this device apart. But why would I need to solder still? Anything I see coming off the board I would rather leave alone, so in I have the wire to spare why not heat shrink solder? Most people watching this video can’t micro solder de solder or solder. Would it impair the product if it was done another way even if it at a solid connection?
My left earcup is nice and movable where rubber part connects to the side pannel but at my right side i noticed it was a little stiff, i jiggled the right side a bit to see if the rubber could be loosened a bit but then the whole outside pannel began to let loose from the inside pannel from the bottom al the way up to the hinge. Is this a common problem, and is there a way to stick it back together without tearing the whole thing apart.
When I took mine apart, I only have 2 different color wires not 4 like the rest of the videos. I only have the blue and white wires on mine Where do I need to run the other 2 missing wires from?

10x the work, plus you would have to still solder the wires back together. Most likely would end up needing a new main internal wire.
