honestly, something that feels lost about batman content. I'm a fan of batman because he's supposed to be a human who's wealthy, skilled, and intelligent (and a technically criminally insane, but in a good way). Not so fun when they soup him up to fight gods and shit. Gimme some grim setting with detective work and street fights. That being said, arkham games are my favorite of all time and I love batman content no matter what so I'm sort of hypocrite
Hi, thanks for checking out the mod and glad you had fun! My goal was to force players to come up with new strategies and make the game feel different in a good way after all these years. Regarding the titans, you can always trigger charge attacks if you reach a certain distance which is tricky but consistently doable with the skeleton titans. City's difficulty mod will be updated very soon and overhauled with big changes I'm excited for everyone to see. I'm thinking I should make it more difficult than the knightfall overhaul mod 😄
If I could make a recommendation, speed up ground takedowns so they're not just dead time to get hit. Even in the base game doing a ground takedown is just instant downtime waiting for the animation to finish. Either that, or make counters work properly during ground takedowns so you're not completely screwed if a thug comes to hit you
@@espartan7011 I just feel like ground takedowns are more unfair than necessary, like performing one could still be hard but unfair. My main gripe with them is how counters don't work properly during them, so you can just get hit while performing one and it interrupts combat flow really bad
Alright, let's get into this because I loved playing this mod as an OHKO aka no damage in the whole run even in No upgrades in another run! here are some tips: unarmed thugs are the most dangerous enemies here, they take x20 (normal strikes) or x10 (critical strikes), their speed are lightning quick (getting up from a strike or their attack speed) hence why you MUST keep a distance and not go for multiple strikes in a row in CQC, step back and go to a distant enemy instead of wait a bit then counter and expect more to come until you can then either evade/redirect or execute a special combo move (best to always use special combo takedowns when you can) Here is my upgrades route: Critical Strikes -> Special Combo Throw -> Special Combo Takedown -> Twin Batarang -> Triple Batarang OR Combo Batarang -> Sonic Batarang -> Sonic Shock Batarang -> Cryptographic Sequencer Range Amplifier OR Special Combo Boost -> anything else, just don't get proximity gel detonator and maybe inverted takedown Explosive Gel is your best friend until you get the Batclaw and even then it's really helpful: you can prep for any combat encounter that doesn't start instantly and knock them down for free KOs Now Combo batarangs kinda suck, they don't knock down enemies anymore, only stagger; however, you can use it for x1 for special combo moves and keeping the distance, buuuuut it has a glitch where the batarangs don't come out and you HAVE to either counter or redirect without moving an inch to preserve the combo and the run Batclaw: Now THIS is what you call a perfect gadget for this run, great for Predator rooms AND combat. Oh just wait for the Ultra Batclaw, it got a range buff and it stomps Bosses: They're tough at first, but you get to know how to exploit their weaknesses to your favor Scarecrow 1: straight-forward and easy enough even with the slight speed increase and the FoV buff Bane: Best way is to play the waiting game to make him get rid of the pillar rocks then just let him charge for that sweet stun damage after a batarang throw. Gotta congratulate you on using explovise gel tho, it's used for Phase 3 only due to the amount of enemies (6) that can ruin the run, so better knock them down and focus on Bane to win Scarecrow 2: his speed is even faster, better to wait a bit when he's looking at the edges. For the skeletons, prepare with explosive gels to KO them all to minimize the chance of failure Harley Quinn's Shock & Awe Room: just be quick and use explosive gel on elevated areas for easy KOs Double Joker Henchmen TITANs: Easy fight, just charge stun them then punch till they're about to shockwave slam where you need to evade it; when you get the opportunity to rodeo, you'll get 4 free hits on TITANs that deal 2/3 damage of TITAN's HP bars after finishing the botanical gardens, do not go to cash, go straight to the intensive treatment, you can also skip the predator room with the Cryptographic Sequencer Range Amplifier (you'll need this if you want to skip a lot of rooms) Scarecrow 3: The worst version of Scarecrow due to his speed and FoV being at its highest, I mean it. You need to be QUICK, you MUST DECIDE FAST! for the skeletons, run till you spawn them then run back to the edge then spray explosive gel and explode after redirecting or such. Phase 2 aka the skeletons and the TITAN skeletons arena, this will cost you your run if you're not careful. You have to spray explosive gel in the middle then explode it then strike everyone, spray two or all three explosive gel before the TITAN gets up and stay at the bottom right corner to activate his charge because TITANs and Bane need a longer distance between them and Batman to activate their charges instead of at any distance exceeeept for Arkham Guard TITANs where they can change it up from Insane + rules to Hard rules Killer Croc: Pretty easy, just carefully line launcher, change between batarangs and multi-batarangs to shock him, get the spores and get the hell out Triple Threat TITAN aka Elevator TITAN: spray three explosive gel at each corner and wait for the TITAN, charge stun him, critical strike till x7 then cape stun to deplete his first HP Bar, go to the electric door near the elevator, ultra batclaw all enemies to it and leave 2-3 enemies alive before the TITAN gets up. Now you just need to use the ultra batclaw to bait the enemies till you get away from The TITAN to make him initiate a charge attack (you need to be in the broken elevator area or near it for that attack to happen), rinse and repeat. Now you either use the explosive gel on the TITAN or wait for the big enemy hordes to use it Poison Ivy: This isn't a boss fight about skill, but rather positioning. You need to be at the center of the arena or nearby it at all times to avoid the vines by RUNNING NOT EVADING and when she starts to spore attack, just move slowly or run in circles and batarang throw after the third spore or just before it. Phase 2: same concept, just with enemies that you can use for combo batarang ammo that deal more damage to Poison Ivy. The Party Pooper room: Optional, but I did it anyway lmfao Double Arkham Guard TITANs: run back a bit then ultra batclaw then run all the way back, now either batarang the TITAN if they start charging or run away if they want to melee. You need to KO 3 enemies and leave 3 up and focus on the TITANs TITAN Joker: easy peasy, just don't let this get to your head. spin around in a slower pace and when it's enemies time, just go all the way back and ultra batclaw, you can even use explosive gel in some areas to KO enemeis into the electric walls. Good luck!
29:22 in my opinion, they could have made Croc faster, as in, instead of boosting his damage because he’s already Insta kill anyway, they could have make him pop up out of the water faster and dash at Batman with way more speed and make his hit box bigger, considering he is basically a 9ft tall massive superhuman crocodile
Not mod related, but I love the way they kept batman's personality in the camera angles and animations. They make him seem threatening and ominous. Love it. Also well done!
Hey knerd, I found a much more easier and less risky way of taking care of the inmates in the main hall of the Arkham mansion without taking damage. First you want to get the inmate's attention to go towards the stairs that go up to the cage with the electric fence. Then get onto a gargoyle and glide down on top of the cage, next start to grapple them one by one and you might have do it fast so they don't dodge the grapple. Then they get pulled towards you hitting the fence and become one tap, And try not to accidentally hit the fence. Hope this helps!😁🦇
So, regarding the second Predator section in the Medical Building, I recently learned from another video that you actually don't have to do that section. You can just go the elevator. I NEVER knew that.
24:57 a little interesting thing here is that you actually don't have to go talk to cash, you can go straight to the intensive treatment after finishing at the botanical gardens and avoid the fight with the thugs in the tunnel and you can avoid the sniper
What's crazy to think about is that this is probably how dangerous this game would actually be for Batman from a semi-realistic perspective (as realistic as this can be anyway), and yet he's still able to overcome everything thrown at him
25:23 It's not an anti-healing factor on the spores. Healing (at least in asylum) is linked to XP gained. This mod actually made healing easier because of the massive combos that you would routinely get on groups of basic thugs, but since the ivy plants only give 25 XP no matter what you do, you're only going to heal a tiny bit. Maybe a strat to work around that would be to leave a few riddler trophies to collect for easy healing, since trophies give 1000 XP.
As ZERO once put out: "Happiness was quickly becoming commodity, that was a luxury most of us on this channel [Or in this case, video] could no longer afford". I would never even dare to do something like this.
This is what happen when Batman don't have any protection under his suit and thugs have realistic eye and it's will be more difficult if it make Batman can't jump from center of the room to the corner of the room, also have to put a small time for Batman to pull his gadget out of his belt
25:24 Healing in this game doesn't happen overtime. You regain health based on how much XP you gain. And unfortunately, Ivy's plants don't give much, which is why it seemed like they were messing up your healing. Funnily enough, if you want to get your health back without risking a fight in a damaged state, you can just pick up some Riddler trophies or solve some riddles, since those give decent XP.
Great video! Two things: - if you had the Cryptographic Extender upgrade before the Pumps room, the room where there are two panels to hack, you can hack them from the ledge not even having to jump down and fight the thugs - Ivy’s plants, you can sneak close to them and kill them. They won’t see you, I know that’s possible in the base game idk about this hack though.
22:14 I’ve played threw every single game and there’s next to nothing that I don’t know about the Arkham universe however I don’t recall ever seeing jokers secret room, was it part of the campaign? Idk maybe I have forgot it due to not playing BAA in over 3 years but I’d love to hear that cutsense if anyone can help my I’d appreciate it

Damn I’m out here struggling with the combat challenges in the base game… then there are people like you who are capable of playing the game like this. Very impressive
You can restore your health by doing riddler trophies. I used that same strat with the titan boss where I hid in the elevator, but also I used it for the little thugs because only one or two thugs would go in the elevator at a time, and the whole rest of the army would all just wait patiently outside, including the titan, who would just pound his chest.
Are you using ReShade for your horror mod? The saturation looks terrible, I can help you with some more interesting VFX. We can do analogue stuff, we can do color adaptation for different kinds of scenes, we can get weird
I think it's worth noting, after the botanical gardens you can skip talking to Cash about where Croc is and just go straight there, which skips the fight at 26:03 and the sniper at 26:11
32:32 you call that a Roly Poly? Hahaha! Boy, you may have begun to dabble in the basics of the Roly Poly. But i was forged in the fires of the Roly Poly. In the words of the ancient Roly Poly elders... We are born of the Roly Poly, made men by the Roly Poly ... Undone by the Roly Poly Fear the ol' Roly Poly! I kind of want someone to make a mod for Arkham Knight exactly like this, but increase enemies including tanks, make tanks 1 hit or close to 1 hit, and everything else this does. Ive honestly been wanting this kind of mod for Arkham Knight for a while
Knowing this mod makes me bummed about Return to Arkham even further. Imagine having this option after completing all difficulties in Arkham Asylum. They could've also implemented other features that were cut from time. Not much for cut content in Asylum, but Arkham City probably has some. Not saying this would make the game better, but it would bring in a different experience to these legendary games.
20:00 The guard was climbing the ladder and looking up, I don't know if the game actually simulates guard eyesight but if I were him, I'd probably have seen Batman above me
Okay ima be real, im so used to Arkham Knight that i was wondering why you were so squishy. Then i remembered Knight has you basically walking around in bat-themed riot gear, lmao.
I wasn’t sure that this mod was actually gonna be that hard, but holy shit, just from the way you described it in the intro…yeah, they turned it up to Dante Must Die. I’m talking, like, Ultra-Nightmare levels of difficulty.
I wish there was something like this for Arkham Knight, mainly adding tougher enemies from the start and bigger groups of tougher enemies, brutes, ninjas, medics etc
As someone who beat Arkham Asylum on hard difficulty and is only 1 point in challenge mode away from 100% completion this mod brings actual pain to me lmao
Even though asylum is one of my favorite games of all time, the difficulty has always been an issue for me since even on the hardest mode the game is pretty easy, so it's cool to see a mod that fixes that.

I think it's worth noting, after the botanical gardens you can skip talking to Cash about where Croc is and just go straight there, which skips the fight at 26:03 and the sniper at 26:11
Great video! This was really cool to see done with so little deaths too
Bro is playing as electrocutioner 💀
14:12 wait you seriously did not know 😭
4:48
Yeah. I'm Man
Officer balls
This is exactly the type off mod I've wanted for all off the arkam games, can't wait to play this
You’re a brave soul for trying this Knerd.
Finally, we can play _Arkham Asylum_ with the strength of Catwoman.
Nah more like Batman without any protection
This was a great video! I got it in my recommended and it was the perfect Arkham video I was looking for.
20:20 is definitely a bug because the same thing happened on my last playthrough ruining a flawless segment
Undone by the Roly Poly
Fear the ol' Roly Poly!
In the immortal words of the ancient Roly Poly elder lords... GIT GUUUD SCRUB!
This mod is just if some random guy dressed up in a batman costume considering how much stronger and faster the goons are compared to him
First time watching your channel, amazing work with the editing and video. But I won't lie, I thought you sounded like Daily Dose of Internet
I hope this doesn't offend you, your voice is very unique and stands out in a great way 👍
took me several hours to get through hard level well Batman chosen to put himself in danger to protect others and I admire the sacrifices he makes .
"Pizza Tower is playing wallpaper engine" 😁
You know it’s a good day when you have no school and knerd post’s
This video single handedly makes me want to play this game. Cheers for that.
How do you have so little subscribers 😭 you deserve millions. Great videos man, i can't wait to try out this mod for myself!
Never seen your channel before but I’m subscribing after this good of a video
Could've used either the "All Gadgets mod" or any skips in this difficulty mod.
2:30 But do you have the Batman Credit Card?
Bane Titan Joker and Ivy's Kaiju Plant Bosses are insanely OP now :O I bet u almost broke your PC too XD!
20:00
The guard was climbing the ladder and looking up, I don't know if the game actually simulates guard eyesight but if I were him, I'd probably have seen Batman above me
20:46 that has happened to me a few times on the vanilla game but I’ve also had them stare at me for a good 3 minutes as well and nothing happened
I feel even with this mod, the ai of the titans are so easily manipulative that I still can't unsee multi batarang do decent damage at a distance
Okay ima be real, im so used to Arkham Knight that i was wondering why you were so squishy. Then i remembered Knight has you basically walking around in bat-themed riot gear, lmao.
This mod seems like torture than anything You're just helping the AI a lot better with the mod and torturing yourself
I wasn’t sure that this mod was actually gonna be that hard, but holy shit, just from the way you described it in the intro…yeah, they turned it up to Dante Must Die. I’m talking, like, Ultra-Nightmare levels of difficulty.
when 3 more thugs come out you can just skip them and go int the elevater
23:13 the hand hit him in the back of the head
Man I watched this before falling asleep for an hour and had one of those dreams where you're awake but can't move I blame Scarecrow 100%
Can you make a tutorial, I’ve been struggling to do this mod for so long.
I can just imagine gp doing a no hit run with this mod on
Love every upload
I wish there was something like this for Arkham Knight, mainly adding tougher enemies from the start and bigger groups of tougher enemies, brutes, ninjas, medics etc
25:05 Aren't you able to stop the spores coming out by sneaking up on the plants? Or does the mod change that?
They made the same mod for arkham city, if you want to give that a try
Arkham city difficulty update just dropped bro
After watching this video I want to try out the mod and try to beat it I know it will be a pain in the ass but idk i need to really test my skills
So…it’s lore accurate Batman?
It's not even lore accurate. No way a normal person would die in 3 punches, let alone fully-suited up Batman.
As someone who beat Arkham Asylum on hard difficulty and is only 1 point in challenge mode away from 100% completion this mod brings actual pain to me lmao
Against Batman this is almost impossible but against Batman with prep tim-
Cant believe there was a batman dark souls knock-off😂
Btw good vid, as always. Yr making bman games community live.
Yes cause dark souls invented hard games
Even though asylum is one of my favorite games of all time, the difficulty has always been an issue for me since even on the hardest mode the game is pretty easy, so it's cool to see a mod that fixes that.
