All Arkham Bosses Ranked

  • For context, all bosses are being played on New Game Plus (or hard for Asylum), and that's how I ranked them. Leave your own list and tell me just why I'm wrong in the comments.
And, for supposed bosses that didn't appear on the list, here's your explanations:
DLC Bosses: I now have a video all about them, since I didn't have them prior to making this video. If you're curious about my thoughts on them and where they rank in the list, here's their video: • All Arkham DLC Bosses ...
Zsasz (Asylum and City): Zsasz in Asylum could be replaced by a basic thug and have nothing change. And Zsasz in City doesn't affect the terrain of his final encounter like Mad Hatter and Scarecrow.
Harley Quinn (Asylum): You don't fight Quinn and she doesn't impact the fight enough to count.
Riddler (City): Same as Zsasz, he doesn't actively affect the terrain enough for me to count it.
Electrocutioner (Origins): He could be replaced with a basic thug, since it only takes one hit to defeat him. I really wanted to, but I couldn't break my own rules.
Enforcers (Origins): They're kind of a combination of Brutes from Knight and Mr. Hammer and Sickle. They don't have health bars, and appear a little too often for me to consider them bosses, or even mid-bosses.
Black Mask (Origins): Doesn't have a health bar and acts like a regular enemy the whole time. Plus, when I tried getting footage of him, he seriously glitched out, so yeah.
Joker (Origins): It's an interactive cutscene. You just spam the punch button and occasionally counter. I love the sequence, but Joker could probably be replaced with a regular thug and have nothing change. Same deal with the final Joker sequence in Knight.
APC's (Knight): They have a health bar, but act more like regular enemies the more you encounter them.
Deacon Blackfire (Knight): You don't fight him, just a bunch of goons. Different from Joker's Funhouse, because he actively participates in the fight.
Final Sequence (Knight): Just like Origins Joker, it's an interactive cutscene. I love the sequence, but there's no way to lose, and you aren't fighting anything. You're just running through a maze as Batman statues occasionally appear. And the final Joker beatdown could be replaced by a basic thug, so it doesn't count.
That should be all, but I'm sure there's more somewhere.

Alright, I’ve gotten a lot of comments about these, so I’m finally going to address them.
First: if you don’t see a boss here, check the description. You’ll likely see the boss there with the reason it wasn’t included.
Second: When I said no other game tried anything like the Ra’s fight, I meant no other Arkham game. Obviously bosses like Ra’s exist in other games, just like bosses exist like Firefly, Bane, and even Mr. Freeze. I’m saying Ra’s was never tried again in the Arkham series specifically.
Third: I don’t know what program I used to rank all the bosses. Just look up “ranking engine” or something on Google, and you should find something similar.
Fourth: Yes, Electrocutioner was the best, but I had to give everyone else a chance!

Croc in Asylum is definitely the scariest. What makes Freeze the best ever in the series is because it does what a boss battle should do: test everything the player has learned up to that point. Plus, the freedom to do more or less whatever you want in the battle, in any order. Ra's in City was damn great! I love the idea of Clayface making faceless clay men. Scarecrow making me think my game crashed: just genius game making on the developer's part.

Since you included the Joker Funhouse fight as a boss, I think Strange at the top of Wonder Tower should also be included since he can spot you through the glass and alert his guards. It also makes you pull a lot of tricks out your bag since there are a limited number of ways to enter the tower and stay hidden, making the inside all the more challenging if you take that route
Plus it’s an amazing setting overlooking Arkham City as a whole being decimated by Protocol 10 and almost simulates a race against time to stop Strange.
It’s a really good stealth section that I feel people overlook since it immediately leads into the Joker Cinema section
Even if it isn’t a boss fight, it’s a great section in an already amazing endgame

It's so crazy that origins is my favorite game. It's just too good bro, the boss fights were perfect, in my opinion they portrayed the beginning of batman too well and it was just so perfect, the beginning of batman and how aggressive he is, he is so angry and young. And using roger was the best option for a younger batman, the beginning of a relationship with the villians and batman and them beginning to fear him and especially the relationship with bane or joker with batman. They portrayed the beginning of a great rivalry between joker and batman just too good. And then you can see that the joker will start to know batman better and he knows his weaknesses, like he didn't know that batmam would not kill anyone and he tried to break him. So joker was the best in origins and had the best design as a younger joker. The story was perfect, especially bane and batman and how they knew each other. I love origins and I don't care what anyone says, it is so underrated just because of a stupid reason that rocksteady didn't make it. The Deathstroke and bane boss fights still gives me chills till this day, they don't appreciate this game much. It's definitely top 2. I understand opinions but they really should pay attention to this game more. That mission in the hotel royale is still the best mission in the series. It was perfect how you go from the sewers to the hotel and you do detective and predator stuff and you see the joker scene where he kills electrocutioner and you get his gloves, and you have to make your way up to the hotel, it was perfect. And then going to the bane fight while joker is watching. And you go save joker and actually this game really did the backstory of batman and joker justice. You can see how deep joker is. That's why I just love origins, and to point out origins was the first arkham game I played that's why I love it, it introduced me to the series. And it's the prequel so it was perfect to play first.
The best joker, the best boss fights, the best character designs, the best character development, the best incantation of the villians, the perfect song, the best bruce wayne and Alfred portrayel.
Hating this game is a crime.

I know I'm late but what the hell
One thing that would've made Deathstrokes fight in knight better is having multiple phases
They could've kept the tank fight but the moment he jumps out and Batman tackles him, they should've changed
Here's how it should go, Slade jumps out the tank and Batman tackles him onto a roof top. Slade would kick batman off him and then we'd get a fight similar to origins with it feeling like you're fighting another Batman
To add to this, they could do something similar to city in following Slade, say when he's half health, he decides to retreat but you're forced to chase after him, soon you make it onto another and larger rooftop, Slade would call for some Militia soldiers to help him and you'd have to juggle fighting a more aggressive Deathstroke who is faster with his counters and hits and his soldiers
Sorry if this idea isn't a great one, this is just what I think would be coo,

    • @ClownPuncher139
      @ClownPuncher139  2 года назад +30

I have been thinking the same, imagine doing the tank battle and then when he jumps out they do some quick moves and then they circle each other in the empty and quiet street of gotham. Imagine the rain and the physics when you fight Deathstroke as they look at each other and they say some dialogues. Then they fight and suddenly they go to the rooftops and batman chases Deathstroke and then you would do the fight on top of a rooftop with a cool cutscene and then it will be dramatic and full of action, like this would literally make it the best boss ever

Yeah I thought he looked best in asylum and city but like you said, his knight design does make sense. @@itsyaboy7273 i personally loved his origins design. AO is based in Batman’s second year so i find it rlly cool seeing the villains in their early stages. Crocs mutation was still in the early stage in AO. i get why people wouldn’t like the design but if it were me making an early year Batman game i would design Croc similar to how WB Montreal did. if i were to change anything i’d make him a bit taller/buffer. because i can admit he still feels very human in AO and he was born with the mutation so it wouldn’t make sense for him to be nearly 30 years old and the mutation has barely done anything to him.

I love how you put the killer croc boss in asylum so high and I definitely agree for a terrifying experience try to do the fight by trying complete the game by doing I am the night pretty much try to complete Batman Arkham asylum without dying once if you do die once then restart the whole story and also try to the challenge in hard mode to make everything even more terrifying

I’m actually unsure which Deadshot battle I prefer. I like origins because his aiming and crew, also he has more health.
On the other hand I like the concept that he’s a one shot kill in City. Well obviously I prefer origins because it’s at least more of a boss fight.
Deathstroke in Knight is the worst.

The batmobile in knight is cool and all but it was WAY over used for fights.

*Me literally comparing that battle to the first boss battle in Crash Bandicoot 3*

Freeze is one of and if not the only boss that ever had me scrambling around desperate trying to outsmart him and Ima be honest I was glad that you put him in first place.

for some reason the titan joker fight from asylum and cloudburst from knight were some of my favorites. not my first favorites, but i always found them really fun and innovative.

I can’t be the only one who actually loves the Mr. Hammer fight has a very good add on to the story, and the dialogue of Harley and Joker screaming in the background is awesome, and the fight itself is actually really fun, all while having a huge build up to the fight and really good scenery, plus, the bosslooks amazing, and has a brother to go along with it, (Mr. Sickle)

Killer Croc gave me a fucking heart attack, no joke he is the scariest boss I have ever faced out of any video game I have ever played and also remains the scariest location out of all the Arkham games imo.

Killer croc wasn't a boss in Arkham asylum you're just avoiding him to collect the plant spores and just slowing him down with batarangs your not really fighting him

Mr. Freeze is an ALMOST perfect boss fight, its one flaw being is that it's a fight that could have easily been avoided

They shouldve made the shiva fight a combat version of the mr freeze bossfight from arkham city. Kind of like the Taskmaster Fight from spider-man ps4. Oh that would've been such a cool fight having to use all of your moves just to beat shiva at all.

Deathstroke - known for being one of the greatest martial artists. Let's have a tank fight instead.
Riddler - known for being one of the smarter Batman villains. Let's have an actual fight where he operates a robot and somehow manages to take multiple punches from Bats and Catwoman and still continue.
I think developers of Arkham Knight were smoking crack.

Mr Freeze being #1 is truly perfect. When I first played his boss fight when I was younger, I remember being stuck on it for a whole weekend. Truly a peak boss fight.

Loved this video 😁 pretty much agreed for the most part, especially about your no. 1 pick. Disagree about the Knight helicopter fight though. That was super annoying cz you don't have double boost by that point and the bombs he drops are so random it's really hard not to take damage. Easiest fight ever on the story game + though 😂

My favorite boss is honestly Joker in Arkham City. With the bright atmosphere, joker’s constant commentary and everything he throws at you as you progress through the fight such as Mr. Hammer and a Titan. Adding the trains that can deal a lot of damage if you get hit and the only thing to warn you is the flashing lights on the rails. So you have to be able to pay attention to multiple things at once and was the fight I had lost to the most in my play through. Difficult but not impossible which is perfect for me. Fun and lasts a decently long time and I would always try to take out Joker last.

I think Poison Ivy was one of the hardest bosses ive encountered. The clumsy control in the game made this a pain in the ass bossfight for me. And only having a small space to dodge made me wanna bite the keyboard and punch my screen.

I think the excavator chase in Arkham Knight deserved to be a little higher. That chase was truly terrifying and pure nightmare fuel. Jason- erm- I mean the Arkham Knight moved so quickly with his razor blad tank thing. Pretty scary.
