Facts. When I first noticed Zsasz’s Easter egg during the part where you analyze the footage of the Arkham knight kidnapping oracle I thought he was gonna make a surprise appearance. Alas, it never came.
I love the tank battle in heart of ice, it feels like you're overwhelmed with all the tanks, and batman is too. He is YELLING at freeze to detonate the cryogenerator and he still hesitates.
Cold cold heart at the top where it belongs. The XE suit. The character exploration of Freeze. It’s all so great and it feels more like a short game and less a DLC. It was definitely deserving of number 1.

I never knew that, thanks mate, will try that, i just bought them all on disk Arkham 3, Origins, never played Cold Cold Heart, never actually played it, i bought it day one way back, borrowed it to someone never to be seen, getting as many bc games on disk i can for PS5 and especially the SX with their BC commitment, really hope Sony are able to figure out a PS3 emulator, ive tried the streaming and i have 400mps on average and still pixilated and lag, desperate to play Killzone 2 and 3, Resistance again, might just get a PS3 tbh, thanks again, will try this.
Harley quinns revenge, matter of family and cold cold heart are easily the best DLCs in the arkham series. They are the most fleshed out and are just great with the stories they tell. Cold cold heart shows us the origin of arkham Mr Freeze and why batman wants to help him. And even though I only first played it recently, it is my favorite arkahm DLC because of the influence from the animated series while also making it it's own thing as well as tying up some things from the main game. Matter of family fleshes out the relationship of the bat family and joker (especially with the thugs mentioning Jason near the start), Barbara and Tim and the character of Batgirl by herself, which we never got to see before. And harley quinns revenge shows the post arkham city/joker death landscape and how harley has been changed by it. All fantastic. I wish I could like the arkham knight stories more than I do. They just aren't as fleshed out/don't offer as much and this is a minor thing, but I wish the DLCs gave us more challenge maps, like the batgirl predator rooms (specifically the one with the kraken, I love that one) or the red hood/ harley ones, maybe even freeze's ship too. (Edit: at least season of infamy was overall great, even though some of the original content was sadly cut) And congratulations on the sponsor my guy!
@@blacktytrix these are just points that can help the dlc and fix some inconsistencies with Harley in later games. -I would add poison ivy in the story and have her help Harley with jokers death maybe she could help Harley by releasing all that anger to Batman and Gotham city. - robin and nightwing would play a role in the story helping hostages that poison ivy had taken. -I might add side missions for villains that I and people really wanted to see in this series like man-bat (I know he was in Arkham knight I think he should’ve just appear in Arkham city as dlc) baby doll, Maxie Zeus, Ratcatcher and crazy quilt or teased them more and save them for Arkham knight. -this one is one I have been thinking for a while and it has so many story opportunities for arkham games remember in the steel mill there is this Easter egg of a pregnancy test that was seen as positive and a lot of people thought that was going to a major part of Arkham three/Arkham knight but when this dlc came it got retconned well I would not retconned that Easter egg and make a plot point Arkham knight and you give Harley child or twins or quintuplets and at the end of the game of Arkham knight Harley would have her child or children taken away from her by the gcpd and thrown into to foster care and later being a crime fighter/crime fighters to the duck Grayson Batman who took up the mantle of Batman after his “death” or Batman takes them in because he knows they could grow up and do wrong like Jason Todd so he when he leaves dick Grayson and the bat family train them to be crime fighters. What do you think and how would you fix the story of Harley’s Quinn’s revenge?

I personally view Ra’s thanking Batman is meant to be him being happy about finally finding peace in death and being proud of him for helping Gotham in ways he never could have
The mr freeze mission is by far the best thing in Arkham knight. I got more emotional then I thought I’d ever get in a Batman game. Mostly because Nora reminded me of my grandma. She had a terminal disease but lived everyday with a positive attitude. I really can’t explain it properly with words.
15:38 I had a different interpretation of that line. I saw it more as Ra's thanking Batman for ending his cycle of rebirth as it has clearly taken a massive toll on him. I saw it as one last moment of lucidity before he died, but I can see how someone else may see it differently
I'm really glad Mr. Freeze got such good content in the Arkham games, because he's one of my personal favorite Batman villains, or just villains in general.
My favorite part in A Matter of Family is the side story within it, where you activate things around the area, and eventually find a secret room where you can hear a sad recording of how Joker brought a man to kill himself, dying by laughter, and all the tapes that activate as you activate things really make it all the much more sad as you see how Joker broke him, I just love it all
Seeing that you enjoyed Catwoman's Revenge, especially the final combat encounter was very surprising. Everyone I know, myself included, thinks that encounter is one of if not the worst and most unfair combat encounter in the entire series. Glad you could find some enjoyment out of it though.
Honestly, when I replayed it for the recording, I did find it SUPER unfair. It took like 30 minutes to get through just that section. But I didn't want to re-record my dialogue, so just left it as is.

I think the catwoman fight against the bots is fine. Because if it wasn't for the lasers and the electrified floor you could just mash buttons. This was one of the few challenges where you actively had to control the movement of the free flow combat system. The final combat fights in the other dlcs felt way harder for me personally, maybe because I don't like shield and electro staff goons.
@@mockery_man that's the thing one has to learn in order to survive that fight, I just hit every robot whiteout doing takedowns, only counter attacking from here and then, then you'll control the movement of the fight
Cold cold heart was an adaptation of the emmy award winning episode from the animated series, but it took some liberties in a good way. Like the fact Fries witnessed another guard die from heat before him, or Boyle actually trying to kill Nora, or even Penguin’s inclusion. Great elements added in what is an amazing DLC imo.
Something cool about the Harley story pack is that if you stay in... I don't recall the name, the Detective Vision equivalent, you hear Harleen arguing with Harley, suggesting she may eventually regain her sanity.

Markers are placed on the map when helicopters find side quests in their search lights. If you don't want the game giving you markers to quests, don't blow up the serpent drones. "Catwoman's Revenge: A really fun combat encounter" Today I learned that Clown Puncher is a masochist.
The problem is that Mad Hatter would reveal where they are . And for Catwoman Revenge , Clownpuncher said to someone else that his opinion about it changed when he recorded it
I actually prefer playing as Catwoman than Batman in Arkham City…I love her combos and how quick her movement is. I love roaming around Arkham City. Wish we could’ve free roamed as the DLC characters in Arkham Knight; could’ve been cool.
I actually experienced all the Arkham DLCs (exepct the origins Bruce one because I don’t like challenge maps) this year and yeah I definitely agree with the top 5, Cold Cold Heart really surprised me because I never saw anyone talk about it and it’s my favourite as well.
The last fight in the Catwoman DLC in Knight is so damn annoying. It would have been great if blocking or takedowns didn't randomly put you onto an electrified area and make you lose a third of your health, completely based on which animation gets chosen by the game.
And the soundtrack for the In From The Cold is really awesome and is perfect for Freeze, Batman, and Nora. The Freeze missions for Origins, City, and Knight are gems from the Arkham games.
I feel like the tank section of Freeze's knight DLC was equally as good as the rest of the story. It was cool how they added a spin by making an endless number of drones spawn so that it seems practically impossible to win, showing the militias desperation to take down Batman and Victor, only for Victor to detonate the ship at the last second. The entire story was just 10/10 IMO.
My absolute favorite is the ra's al ghul dlc. I always play it after the story and fits so well after all the growth batman goes through in the main story. I always choose to kill ra's personally because I think that is the much better ending. I never thought of ra's final words as a joy to see batman decide to take a life. I always took it as he is happy that batman freed him from all the suffering he was going through.

In my opinion, Catwoman's history in arkham city was the best history DLC that i ever played, her two only bosses are not the worst ones from the whole serie but also not the bests, its just perfect to play it again and replay it without getting bored

Yeah have to agree about the Origins Freeze DLC, fantastic stuff. Still, the lip animation in gameplay creeps me the fck out... One thing I will say about the Matter of Family DLC is that I think as you may know there's a really good side story in it, plus that whole DLC story is the catalyst for why Joker goes after Barbara and cuts her caped crusader career short with a bullet to the lower spine, ending with the ominous "The next one's for you, kiddo.". Plus the very nature of just playing as Batgirl for once adds so much more weight to that whole side of the series, knowing that with every wrench thrown into the Joker's plan, you're digging Batgirl's grave, also using this awesome-feeling gameplay of Batgirl in her prime to highlight the impact of that flashback/nightmare in the main story of Knight.
I have just gotten the season pass for Arkham Knight for a pretty cheap price since it was on sale on the Playstation Store and I am really excited to play all of them. I really enjoyed this video. I also got Arkham City recently for the first time (the remaster cause I wanted to play it on my PS4) and I really like it. I do find the AR challenges, riddles and some certain side missions a bit difficult (mainly as I just have to go wonder around without a clear objective (deadshot to be precise)) but I am enjoying the game so far. Also keep up your great content as it is always enjoyable to watch.
Harley Quinn's Revenge definitely contained some great hidden foreshadowing for Arkham Knight. Hearing Batman all dead inside throughout the DLC with his line delivery and how jaded he has become after the events of City was so jarring and interesting at the time, especially considering how calm and collected in comparison he was in the first two games.
It would be really cool if you could go down to the GCPD lockup are and interact with all the villains that you caught in the base game depending how many of the most wanted missions you did. For example let’s say that Nightwing is fighting Penguin’s thugs, Two Face could be cheering him on because of the rivalry with Penguin etc.
Dude I just loved the way Harley Quinn took the lead in Joker's group. Harley Quinn's Revenge and that little story you get when you solve the riddles of Pannesa Studios in AK was enough to see that she actually has the power to lead like Joker did

Amazing vid, I agree with pretty much all of it except I'd put Catwomans revenge higher simply for the fact that you can hear Riddler get tazed at the end. And my fav would def be In From The Cold, finding out that Nora has been slightly awake for the whole time and has been watching Victor the whole time and would rather spend their little time together then frozen again. Also really loved both the Story and Gameplay for both a Matter of Family and Harley's Revenge, so fun to play. I'd prolly really love Cold, Cold Heart if I played it.

Congratulations on the Sponsor! I feel Arkham Knight chose Quantity over quality with all the different Story packs, I really like Matter of Family though. All 4 New side missions were pretty fun in my opinion and I love that The Freeze mission gives the chance of making it snow which is one of my favorite things in the World (Part of why Arkham Origins is my favorite game ever). I bought the Origins DLC for a Steep price of 20$ on my PS3 in December because I don’t have a PC but because it’s for my favorite game I still had to cop it. I loved the Cold Cold Heart DLC and Like the Story of The Initiation but I’m not a fan of The actual Gameplay because it’s just not my thing. I haven’t played the City DLC for a few years but last I remember I thought it was pretty good. I really Need to Go on an Arkham Marathon again.

i would love a follow up game where it’s all his side kicks dealing with the death of batman, robin becoming red robin, night song becoming batman, red hood cleaning the streets maybe too much and intern creating a power vacuum.
Instead of the Suicide Squad Game and Gotham Knights, I wish Rocksteady and WB Montreal gave us more Arkhamverse spinoffs instead. I would have loved 1. a Nightwing game set in Bludhaven where he traverses in his motorcycle, 2. A Red Hood game where he hunts down criminals we never saw in the Arkham games (eg. Killer moth, Ratcatcher, Maxie Zeus etc.), 3. an Azrael game where it's Jean-Paul Valley who is the protagonist who meets Michael Lane and both take on the Order of St Dumas, while Jean becomes Batman following the Knightfall Protocol while Bruce retires. I would have also enjoyed another Arkham Prequel Batman Game that bridges the gap between the events of Arkham Asylum and Origins. I guess none of these will ever happen but they I would think there would have been interest.
Red Hood's DLC should have been so much more than it was. Black Mask was a good villain since he and Red Hood are enemies in the comics and animated movies, but man I would have liked an in depth story. I want to see Red Hood interact with Harley who definitely would have had a part in his torture at Joker's hands. Show us Red Hood interact with the other BatFam members who now know he was the Arkham Knight. And man, they definitely should have given us free roam ability with him and the other DLC characters
I wish nightwing had better unique gadgets and dlc map and story, he's my favourite batfam character. It was a little disappointing but it was fun playing as him
The batgirl dlc I like is the starro Easter egg because when I first saw the poster I was like cool reference but going through that vent and the change of music and the creepy vibe along with starro tracking your movement is amazing to me
The Arkham series is what made me love Mr freeze alot so it's great to see cold cold heart at no.1. it's a great retelling of the original animated series episode.

The fact that Harley Quin is a playable DLC character kind of made me wish that we got an actual Harley Quin boss fight in the main game.
Harley would only make sense if she was a boss while playing as robin or cat woman but she wouldn’t work that well tbh

Did you know that if you complete In From The Cold as the absolute last mission in Arkham Knight, it will forever snow in Gotham!
That's cool- my last play through I did two face mission and penguin mission last and both had diffrent responses on the drive back to the lock up.
I want to get that but I still need to beat riddler in NG+ and Collect all the Trophies

The mr freeze mission is by far the best thing in Arkham knight. I got more emotional then I thought I’d ever get in a Batman game. Mostly because Nora reminded me of my grandma. She had a terminal disease but lived everyday with a positive attitude. I really can’t explain it properly with words.
15:38 I had a different interpretation of that line. I saw it more as Ra's thanking Batman for ending his cycle of rebirth as it has clearly taken a massive toll on him. I saw it as one last moment of lucidity before he died, but I can see how someone else may see it differently
I'm really glad Mr. Freeze got such good content in the Arkham games, because he's one of my personal favorite Batman villains, or just villains in general.
My favorite part in A Matter of Family is the side story within it, where you activate things around the area, and eventually find a secret room where you can hear a sad recording of how Joker brought a man to kill himself, dying by laughter, and all the tapes that activate as you activate things really make it all the much more sad as you see how Joker broke him, I just love it all
Seeing that you enjoyed Catwoman's Revenge, especially the final combat encounter was very surprising. Everyone I know, myself included, thinks that encounter is one of if not the worst and most unfair combat encounter in the entire series. Glad you could find some enjoyment out of it though.
Honestly, when I replayed it for the recording, I did find it SUPER unfair. It took like 30 minutes to get through just that section. But I didn't want to re-record my dialogue, so just left it as is.

I think the catwoman fight against the bots is fine. Because if it wasn't for the lasers and the electrified floor you could just mash buttons. This was one of the few challenges where you actively had to control the movement of the free flow combat system. The final combat fights in the other dlcs felt way harder for me personally, maybe because I don't like shield and electro staff goons.

@@mockery_man that's the thing one has to learn in order to survive that fight, I just hit every robot whiteout doing takedowns, only counter attacking from here and then, then you'll control the movement of the fight
God, I love the dialog and character writing in Arkham Origins. Cold, Cold, Heart was a pure showcase of everything that Arkham Origins did well.
Cold cold heart was an adaptation of the emmy award winning episode from the animated series, but it took some liberties in a good way. Like the fact Fries witnessed another guard die from heat before him, or Boyle actually trying to kill Nora, or even Penguin’s inclusion. Great elements added in what is an amazing DLC imo.
Something cool about the Harley story pack is that if you stay in... I don't recall the name, the Detective Vision equivalent, you hear Harleen arguing with Harley, suggesting she may eventually regain her sanity.

You don't have markers to begin with. Markers are placed on the map when helicopters find side quests in their search lights. If you don't want the game giving you markers to quests, don't blow up the serpent drones.

I actually prefer playing as Catwoman than Batman in Arkham City…I love her combos and how quick her movement is. I love roaming around Arkham City. Wish we could’ve free roamed as the DLC characters in Arkham Knight; could’ve been cool.

I actually experienced all the Arkham DLCs (exepct the origins Bruce one because I don’t like challenge maps) this year and yeah I definitely agree with the top 5, Cold Cold Heart really surprised me because I never saw anyone talk about it and it’s my favourite as well.
The last fight in the Catwoman DLC in Knight is so damn annoying. It would have been great if blocking or takedowns didn't randomly put you onto an electrified area and make you lose a third of your health, completely based on which animation gets chosen by the game.

I feel like the tank section of Freeze's knight DLC was equally as good as the rest of the story. It was cool how they added a spin by making an endless number of drones spawn so that it seems practically impossible to win, showing the militias desperation to take down Batman and Victor, only for Victor to detonate the ship at the last second. The entire story was just 10/10 IMO.
My absolute favorite is the ra's al ghul dlc. I always play it after the story and fits so well after all the growth batman goes through in the main story. I always choose to kill ra's personally because I think that is the much better ending. I never thought of ra's final words as a joy to see batman decide to take a life. I always took it as he is happy that batman freed him from all the suffering he was going through.

In my opinion, Catwoman's history in arkham city was the best history DLC that i ever played, her two only bosses are not the worst ones from the whole serie but also not the bests, its just perfect to play it again and replay it without getting bored

Yeah have to agree about the Origins Freeze DLC, fantastic stuff. Still, the lip animation in gameplay creeps me the fck out... One thing I will say about the Matter of Family DLC is that I think as you may know there's a really good side story in it, plus that whole DLC story is the catalyst for why Joker goes after Barbara and cuts her caped crusader career short with a bullet to the lower spine, ending with the ominous "The next one's for you, kiddo.". Plus the very nature of just playing as Batgirl for once adds so much more weight to that whole side of the series, knowing that with every wrench thrown into the Joker's plan, you're digging Batgirl's grave, also using this awesome-feeling gameplay of Batgirl in her prime to highlight the impact of that flashback/nightmare in the main story of Knight.
what's nice is that more or less all of these dlcs u can find on steam. so they can still be played to this day

I have just gotten the season pass for Arkham Knight for a pretty cheap price since it was on sale on the Playstation Store and I am really excited to play all of them. I really enjoyed this video. I also got Arkham City recently for the first time (the remaster cause I wanted to play it on my PS4) and I really like it. I do find the AR challenges, riddles and some certain side missions a bit difficult (mainly as I just have to go wonder around without a clear objective (deadshot to be precise)) but I am enjoying the game so far. Also keep up your great content as it is always enjoyable to watch.

Harley Quinn's Revenge definitely contained some great hidden foreshadowing for Arkham Knight. Hearing Batman all dead inside throughout the DLC with his line delivery and how jaded he has become after the events of City was so jarring and interesting at the time, especially considering how calm and collected in comparison he was in the first two games.
It would be really cool if you could go down to the GCPD lockup are and interact with all the villains that you caught in the base game depending how many of the most wanted missions you did. For example let’s say that Nightwing is fighting Penguin’s thugs, Two Face could be cheering him on because of the rivalry with Penguin etc.
Dude I just loved the way Harley Quinn took the lead in Joker's group. Harley Quinn's Revenge and that little story you get when you solve the riddles of Pannesa Studios in AK was enough to see that she actually has the power to lead like Joker did

Amazing vid, I agree with pretty much all of it except I'd put Catwomans revenge higher simply for the fact that you can hear Riddler get tazed at the end.
And my fav would def be In From The Cold, finding out that Nora has been slightly awake for the whole time and has been watching Victor the whole time and would rather spend their little time together then frozen again.
Also really loved both the Story and Gameplay for both a Matter of Family and Harley's Revenge, so fun to play. I'd prolly really love Cold, Cold Heart if I played it.

Congratulations on the Sponsor! I feel Arkham Knight chose Quantity over quality with all the different Story packs, I really like Matter of Family though. All 4 New side missions were pretty fun in my opinion and I love that The Freeze mission gives the chance of making it snow which is one of my favorite things in the World (Part of why Arkham Origins is my favorite game ever). I bought the Origins DLC for a Steep price of 20$ on my PS3 in December because I don’t have a PC but because it’s for my favorite game I still had to cop it. I loved the Cold Cold Heart DLC and Like the Story of The Initiation but I’m not a fan of The actual Gameplay because it’s just not my thing. I haven’t played the City DLC for a few years but last I remember I thought it was pretty good. I really Need to Go on an Arkham Marathon again.

i would love a follow up game where it’s all his side kicks dealing with the death of batman, robin becoming red robin, night song becoming batman, red hood cleaning the streets maybe too much and intern creating a power vacuum.
I agree cold cold heart and Harley's revenge were amazing. As a side note I loved the Easter eggs in in the matter of the Family.
Instead of the Suicide Squad Game and Gotham Knights, I wish Rocksteady and WB Montreal gave us more Arkhamverse spinoffs instead. I would have loved 1. a Nightwing game set in Bludhaven where he traverses in his motorcycle, 2. A Red Hood game where he hunts down criminals we never saw in the Arkham games (eg. Killer moth, Ratcatcher, Maxie Zeus etc.), 3. an Azrael game where it's Jean-Paul Valley who is the protagonist who meets Michael Lane and both take on the Order of St Dumas, while Jean becomes Batman following the Knightfall Protocol while Bruce retires. I would have also enjoyed another Arkham Prequel Batman Game that bridges the gap between the events of Arkham Asylum and Origins. I guess none of these will ever happen but they I would think there would have been interest.
Red Hood's DLC should have been so much more than it was. Black Mask was a good villain since he and Red Hood are enemies in the comics and animated movies, but man I would have liked an in depth story. I want to see Red Hood interact with Harley who definitely would have had a part in his torture at Joker's hands. Show us Red Hood interact with the other BatFam members who now know he was the Arkham Knight. And man, they definitely should have given us free roam ability with him and the other DLC characters
