At 8:55, I’m surprised you didn’t noticed that the reason Bane learned who Batman is was because of what Batman said to him just after the cops arrived on the roof of the hotel. “You just ran out of time” That line right there was the clue Bane needed to find out who Batman was. This goes to show that Bane has a good memory of things cause he could have been watching the news that evening and heard Bruce Wayne say that specific line to Vicki Vale at the beginning of the game, “You just ran out of time” And bane immediately put one and one together, recognizing that voice and phrase. That’s why the audio plays over and over with that phrase to let him know that’s how he find out. Honestly, it took me many years to find out that small detail
Don’t think we’ll ever see Bane portrayed in such a ferocious and cunning way in the films like we’ve seen in Origins. He was so intimidating and a force to be reckoned with from the moment him and Batman cross paths
@@justoandres4951Personality wise sure, I can see it. Though, the whole “actually being Talia’s henchman” thing and the goofy voice detract some points imo. The real Bane would’ve worked alongside Talia and Ra’s only to betray them later on to fulfill his ulterior motives.

Those are my thoughts exactly, seeing a much angrier and more brutal Batman was fun. Seeing him make mistakes was something new and it took me by surprise. They did a fantastic job with the characters in this game.
His writing in this game is so great. Definitely my definitive version of the character, and it makes up for the hit or miss version of Bane from the rest of the games by giving a legitimate reason for why his intelligence is so average for a lack of better words when he supposed to be a strategic genius. His story in Arkham origins makes the Bane portion of my brain very happy.
It also makes him the pivotal character for the future of the series as TN1 would become titan. Arkham Origins wasn’t the origins of Batman, but of Joker and the Arkham storyline. They didn’t need to do Batman’s origin story over again but showing how the dynamic between Batman and the Joker formed and how the Macguffin of the series started out was important. IMO for a “spinoff” it tied a lot of loose ends from Asylum and City.
That moment after Batman revives Bane, and he turns into a big ass monster genuinly scared the shit out of me. The Scream, and puke, then throwing you through the wall...and sudden game of cat and mouse left me in shock. I hadnt felt that kind of fear since I was a kid fighting Killer Croc...but this was worse. And as the fight went on and Bane started running, and destroying vents the worse I felt. I ended up winning the fight, but man I was exhausted after it was over.
Finally someone who genuinely credits the amazing character development bane received in origins , puts a massive smile on my face. I remember playing the game when I was 8 years old forced too fight this hunk of a beastly man , especially TN bane and being able to see how he adapts every-time you ambush him 100% my all time favourite antagonist in the Arkham verse props to Warner brothers Montreal!
This game probably has my favorite interaction between Joker and Bane. Both characters are exactly on point, and neither of them back down in the other's presence. Bane flagrantly dismisses Joker's orders, looms over him like a colossus, and in response, Joker merely cackles and sits back to watch how things go down. I wouldn't be surprised if the Nolanverse versions of the characters communicated in a similar manner if put into the same room.
Well that might lean more to bane, because you can see a small hint of concern and fear on jokers face, joker basically asserted his dominance over everyone except bane and maybe even deathstroke seeing as how joker was afraid to release him,as stated by slade towards the battle with bane in the arena. Both joker and bane are perfect rivals to batman but bane challenges Batman in every single aspect whether physically, mentally and intellectually, and psychologically terrifying Batman when he discovers that bane figured out his identity and it’s the first time in the entire series you actually see fear in Batmans face. Joker is a nutcase and deadly cunning and that’s absolutely amazing, but bane basically asserts himself as the perfect counter to Batman.
Bane is absolutely terrifying in this game and I love it. That also extends to the multiplayer of this game. Playing as a Joker thug when bane gets called out, it becomes a pseudo horror game. And that's WITH Batman and Robin hunting you as well
I think Bane's assassin introduction is also cool and demonstrates his skills and strength. Bane is up against about three enemies one armored and two enforcers. He jumps down onto the armored one and instantly takes him out of the fight and then he expertly beats the two enforcers before neck lifting the two of them and snapped their necks in a matter of seconds. The enforcers are about Bane's height and probably weigh close to him as well, which is about 500 pounds. Bane just lifted 500 pounds in each arm and he wasn't even using Venom. This shows how dangerous and powerful Bane is.
@@TheXboxCreeper It really was. Really shows if Bane wanted to take over the Gotham Underworld he and his crew would absolutely annihilate the competition.
Great video 👍🏼 one thing I’ve always liked, is that in origins when Bruce finds out that bane knows who he is, he smashes the computer in rage. In Arkham city when batman is more seasoned, he reacts much more calmly when speaking to Alfred and telling him that Hugo strange knows who he is. It just reinforces that younger more rageful batman in origins.
I think it also has to do with the fact that by then Batman had the knightfall protocol ready so if strange did reveal his identity he was already ready
I also found a new appreciation of Bane, since I only know him as a big dumb brute. His story is actually really tragic and he seemed like this awesome, deep and brutal character - who could have been Bmans greatest adversary.
Thats what I love about Bane the most. He is one of the greatest threats to Batman if done right. Its just a shame that most versions that I hear about miss the mark.
With all the Joker oversaturation, I hope villains like the Riddler and Bane step up to take that spot of Batman's arch-nemesis. They deserve it, and we already have great movie adaptations that show us the potential of these characters (TDKR and The Batman)
Did you hear what happened to Bane during the events of Arkham Knight? While fighting off his venom addiction, he went back to his home country, saw how corrupt it was and that the cartels were hurting even children, then he destroyed the 12 most powerful crime lords there, I feel like he got a pretty cool ending
I’ve never played Arkham Origins but am a massive Bane fan. I’ve never seen these cutscenes before and the way u contextualise them makes them so cold. Bane is an S tier comic book villain
@@TheXboxCreeper yeh I’m not surprised. This style of video where u pick a character and talk about how much u enjoy their portrayal works so well for u. U should be proud mate and definitely do more like this
In my opinion, Origins had the best boss battles of the whole series, and is more true to the Bane from the comics and honestly one of the best visual representations of Bane. It took a bit of inspiration from the Nolan trilogy and updated him.
If it makes you feel better, In Arkham Knight's Gotham City Stories, it was suggested that he went clean off of Venom and decided to go back to his homeland (Santa Prisca) for a new start, but ended up having to fight various cartels and drug lords waging turf wars to save innocent people of his homeland.
will ALWAYS appreciate a video that appreciates Arkham Origins. that game deserves all the love it's still getting as one of the 4 Arkham games. however, Bane doesn't "push" Joker around and "tell him what to do" in a way you're implying. he's telling him in his own brutish way that if he wants to see Batman dead to just wait and he'll kill him for him when he arrives. the determination and confidence excite Joker who is ready to see how it plays out and ends, even by his own demise. i too replay Origins yearly for xmas and is my favourite in the franchise. i like all of them and don't like to compare, but Origins does everything right and the music pumps the atmosphere to high level. i'm glad people still replay and appreciate this Arkham gem that surpasses other Arkham games in my opinion.
Origins has always been a personal favorite of mine, has it flaws but also some awesome sequences and this version of Bane is the best imo, he’s at his peak in this game
Thats one of the best parts of this character. He doesnt mess around, he hits hard and fast. He wants Batman dead and he isnt going to waste the opportunity.
8:50 New superhero rule: Never say the same sentence twice. Otherwise, they're gonna recognize your voice and figure out who you are instantly. Bruce had unknowingly compromise his secret identity and Bane has been observing him for some time for months. And recently the interview Bruce had with Vicki Vale earlier in the opening "You just ran out of time.". Also, this wasn't the first I've seen it. This happened before on Iron Man: Armored Adventures years ago when Tony told Obadiah Stane that, in quote, his "manufactured evil" was over. Stane quickly remembered that sentence before with Iron Man and instantly figured out that Tony Stark and Iron Man one and the same. This compromise his secret identity and put all his loved ones in danger.
I never really understood how bane figured out Batmans identity until other people let me know. Now that I do know, man is it awesome. It really puts it into perspective how hard it is to keep a secret identity and that one simple mistake can ruin everything.
@@danelisslow3269 From what I remember, the folks at WB Montreal wanted Batman to make mistakes in the game. So I like how he makes this simple mistake and it bites him in the ass. Then he even does what he did in BTAS and started using different voices for Bruce and Batman as seen in Arkham City. It's details like this that make origins so great. (Also I gotta watch BTAS soon)
Another cool detail in origins is that when batman says "you just ran out of time" you can briefly see bane tilt his head. He KNEW he heard that somewhere, which leads into how he findout batmans identity. Cool kinda detail. Also little known fact the reason bane is so stupid in asylum is actually because the devs hated bane and wanted to make him stupid, yes lore wise tn-1 is the reason but origins came AFTER asylum so they made this so the games actually connected, sucks because we couldve had menace bane for the triology of arkham games had the devs understood bane more.
That's such a fun detail, I've played the game numerous times but never noticed the head tilt. That asylum fact though sucks ass man. Come on Rocksteady, you could've had such a menacing villain!
Hey man, great vid! Just wanted to let you know of a cool fact about Bane deducing Batman’s identity that you might’ve not known So in essence Bane recognized Bruce’s voice from his interview with Viki where he says, “You just ran out of time” when he says it once again (as Batman) to Bane after the end of the boss the fight. You can make out both versions of the lines during the cutscene where Batman figures out Bane knows his identity. Cool stuff!
So glad someone else sees just how great origins is. Best boss fights in the series, great writing, and stellar gameplay. Glad to see more people appreciate origins for what it is. Great video!
It’s an excellent game that more people need to try. Hearing about how the game came to be made me appreciate it even more. Like it’s genuinely surprising how well they did with what they were given.
Nice to see another Arkham Origins enjoyer. Bane is an absolute monster in this game and it was sad to see him the way he was in Asylum and City. Origins Bane was on another level. Smart, strong, and came so close to breaking the Bat once again.
In the first fight you can stop his grab attack by throwing batarangs at him Another thing is, those goons are there because if you jump over them, you are granted invincibility frames
Im also pretty sure but its been awhile since i played so it myjust be for titan rooms but i think if u use the special take down u get for free when ur combo meter is up u can damage the venom thing on his body for awhile. With the goons it permanently breaks theire venon suit
I'm so glad someone recognises how great this depiction and writing of this take on Bane truly is. Bane overall is one of my favourite Batman villains in the comics just for how complex and multi-faceted he is as a character; on the surface, people always think he's the muscle with no brain. However, that's extremely far from the truth, where, in reality, Bane is Batman's physical and mental match/superior. Bane is terrifyingly intelligent and a master strategist born in a South American prison. He was raised in said prison with only a teddy bear, his mother (who would later die from malnourishment), and the protection of two kinds of inmates called Bird and Trogg. In such a harsh and brutal environment, Bane learnt at a young age to not let his fear weaken him and learnt to control his fear and spent every moment in said prison to increase his mind and body to peak condition, training countless hours and studying every book he could get his hands on. Bane deduced Batman's identity in the comics by surveilling/examining his movements and deducing where his finances go. He ultimately coordinated a mass breakout in Arkham to release multiple villains to tire Batman so much that he becomes physically and mentally vulnerable, ultimately breaking into his home, wrecking the Batcave and breaking Batman's spine. I know you said you don't read the comics, but if you want to see more of this take on Bane you like so much, I would highly recommend checking out Bane's original debut in *Batman: Knightfall* comic storyline and his origin in *Vengence of Bane*
Something about this game just feels more cinematic and full of life compared to other games. This Batman is much more flawed. He isn’t stoic and composed all the time yet instead he’s full of angst and hate. Alfred isn’t some voice who guides you he’s a central character as is Gordon. The villains have more personality and the whole world/atmosphere is far more immersive. And this game by far without a doubt had some of the best boss battles I’ve ever played in a game ever. Because it had glitches on one console for some reason makes it a weak game. This game deserves sequels setting up a trilogy before Asylum tbh.
For me bane is my favorite out of batmans villains, couse he aint just a big brutal mindless truck, he is a big brutal truck with a big brain too. And this portrail is showing it perfectly.
I love how both Arkham Origins and The Dark Knight Rises went a long way toward showcasing what an intelligent threat Bane is, in addition to being a physical one, but it was Arkham Origins which stuck the landing. Despite him being essentially someone else's henchman in both stories, he's still just as authoritative and commanding at the end of Origins as he was in the beginning, and that is no small feat. We didn't have to imagine THIS fire. 🔥🔥🔥
I totally agree that this game is criminally under-appreciated. I loved it! I really liked Roger Craig Smith's portrayal of Batman too. Yeah Conroy is still the best but Smith put a lot more anger and emotion into his portrayal which I thought was perfect with a young and pissed off Batman.
Gosh this video is great! I've rewatched it about 20+ times. I love all the points you bring up and describe them, you described them perfectly, and I love how much impact he actually had on the game's story. Most of the time, the brute type of character is strong but dumb, which is why I like Arkham Origins Bane. It's different. This Bane is what Bane, SHOULD BE! Strong AND smart and also someone who Batman has to take on stealthy and carefully. Also, because of what he's been doing with Venom and TN-1 that certainly requires some intelligence. This game has also been a big contributor to why Bane is my favourite Batman Villain. Here, he's the threat he should be.
@@TheXboxCreeper thanks. Yeah I really have watched it THAT many times, the video is really THAT entertaining. Another reason why this video is so great is because there are also a few comedic elements in it. For example, "It damages the memory centre of the Bane", I don't know if others found this one funny, but it was during the part where Joker was saying "twas the right before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was staring not even a, well a bat was staring but a few more blows to the head and he won't be anymore" I love how during the first part of that, you're showing all the damage that Bane has already caused. In all through the house, Bane has already punched Batman and tossed him around like a ragdoll. Also, the "jumpscare" part was funny too. Yeah this was a really good video. This was the type of video I needed and always wanted to see because I haven't found anyone else talk about Bane and how good he was. I look forward to seeing more videos like this, well if you plan to make more stuff like this. Well, you sound like a nice guy so I'll probably watch the videos regardless.
Fantastic video about a fantastic portrayal of a fantastic character. Origins really did Bane justice. A couple things to add: -The story for Origins establishes the legendary enmity between Batman and the Joker, and Bane’s presence helps make that happen. Joker’s chaotic, unpredictable energy plays off really well with the contrast against the disciplined, calculating Bane. One of these foes is Batman’s reflection, the other is his opposite, and together they are a tremendous threat. -Bane has his own gang of escape convicts and mercenaries in this game. They’re well-organized, well-equipped, and FANATICALLY LOYAL to their leader, making Bane even more threatening. -My one complaint about this portrayal of Bane is that it hints that he has some deep motivation for wanting to kill Batman so badly, but never really reveals it. He’s certainly not in it for the money of the bounty. He says that killing Batman will bring him peace, but we don’t know why. Many of his actions are aimed at motivating Batman to fight him with no mercy and no restraint, so Bane can face his foe at his strongest. He’s willing to risk his life and his mind to make this happen. It’s like he wants Batman dead as a form of personal growth, like it’s his version of climbing a mountain or running a marathon. A little more information about WHY it’s so important to him would have made him more complete for me.
That last point about Bane’s reason hits home. I had to read the knight fall comic to understand why he wants batman dead. Like you said, they do allude to it but the fact it’s not given much attention kinda sucks. With how ferocious and dedicated he is it would’ve made sense to get more information as to why he wants to kill Batman. There was also good points in the story to do so. After the hotel, Batman could’ve done more research on bane at the cave or at the very least search his lair and get more answers. Ultimately it doesn’t take away from the game but knowing his motives would add more context and tie up that loose end.
The only thing I wish could've been done for Origins' story (aside from all of the assassins being mandatory) is that Deathstroke got to be as much of a threat as Bane. WB Montreal was clearly excited to use him, given the cinematic trailer and him being playable, but he only has one boss fight before disappearing more or less forever. I feel like I remember hearing that Deathstroke was supposed to have two more fights throughout the game where he'd ambush Batman suddenly, but those were cut due to time constraints. But I also can't recall the source on that!
OH MY GOD. If that is true then I'm incredibly disappointed that never became a thing. The game is great and Deathstroke's fight is fantastic. BUT MAN THAT WOULD'VE BEEN COOL!
6:22 I love what you did here, and bane is my favorite villain in this game, also, this is my favorite Arkham game❤❤ 6:47 also fun fact: if you just run in circles, the whole entire time staying away from bane he won’t even hit you, all you have to do is run in circles😅 P.S I know I’m late with this, but another fun fact: 7:18 where Bane grabbed Batman and lifted him, you can actually counter this attack, it’s a blue attack, meaning you need to press Y or triangle if you play PlayStation, to counterattack and escape Bane’s grasp, it’s always so satisfying to me, I purposely let bane grab me that why I can counter it
Bane gives Joker 1 minute 3:40 to 4:35 and he comes back in 1 minute! Bane Is the man of his word! This is why I want Arkham Origins to get a remaster!
Great video but Hugo strange sent tiger guards to Wayne manor during Arkham city. That’s where the nightwing dlc takes place. Also Hugo has a huge ego so defeating Batman without even using his identity was gonna be his biggest accomplishment as he was so confident in his plan.
Yeah the more I think about it, my points against hugo were mostly opinionated and not fact. Cause in his own way, that dude causes a lot of damage and makes batman go through hell. I guess I just prefer Banes more direct approach.
@@TheXboxCreeper yeah for sure two very different villains. Hugo relies on psychological warfare since in the public eye he is the “savior” of gotham he secretly pulls strings. Bane is more honorably in the traditional sense. He confronts Batman and doesn’t try and trick him but best him in combat.
It's surprising that you have 2k subscribers. I love your usage of clips while providing a deep analysis of Bane. I think Arkham Origins is underrated, and I'm glad it's getting more attention. It's also crazy that Kevin Conroy didn't know about the game until a fan mentioned it. Maybe if the game had better marketing, it would have been on par with the three Arkham games.
Bane is honestly the only Batman villain that scares me tbh. Because I know what he’s capable of and it makes me afraid for Batman. Every time the character is introduced (movies/games) I don’t know if he’s gonna break his back or he’s just gonna be a menace and do something more terrifying.
Okay, it's a crime you have so few subscribers. I just found your video, and I loved it. It was well made, and I'm a sucker for good editing, and you knocked it out of the park with some of the cuts and skits you did. Keep up the outstanding work, my friend, and take care.
Bro, your commentary is so fucking funny to listen to and I love the flow to your style! Keep these coming because what a fucking good time this has been so far!
I really enjoyed the video, just thought I'd say that the comedic timing at 0:20 was especially great. Also, I think the cutscenes in Origins are arguably the best in the series, I've re-watched the Royal Hotel elevator one a bajillion times; the energetic pacing is so good. I do have a complaint with Origins though, it is that they definitely made Electrocutioner's fight way too difficult, I get he's strong, but why did they have to put such a massive roadblock in the beginning of the game? He literally one shots you and dodges half of your attacks, his fight is borderline impossible, especially with his second phase where he speeds up and starts using AOE attacks. I can imagine his fight alone discouraged several new players.

Banes actually one of Batman’s most cunning and intelligent adversaries. He’s one of the few that discovered Batman’s identity even in the comics during the Knightfall storyline from the 90s. They adapted it slightly in Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. It’s the famous storyline where Bane “broke” Batman. Bane is truly the brains and the brawn.
I wish Bane was the main villian and Joker was a sidequest or something, truly a fantastic rendition that took the right elements from both the original comic rendition and the Nolan one
Bro the bane TN-1 boss fight terrified the ever living hell out of me when I was a kid, I just straight up never picked up origins again back then because it scared me so much.. if only I knew how close I was to the end.
i loved arkham origins when it came out, my brother hated it but i thought it was awesome. i was 8 when it came out (and when i played it) so i wasn’t really that online at the time and didn’t know about how much people hated it until later on. it makes me so happy that this game has been getting so much love in the past few years
I love how Bane knows not to give Batman time to breathe. He pulls him down from the elevator roof and throws him to the wall and INSTANTLY rushes him to grab his throat and start knocking him around. He did all this in like 10 seconds. I can just imagine Batman going "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!" when it was over
As you’ll see earlier in the comments I was originally confused by this decision. I was confused why they went down that route since the suit looks better than arkham asylum. So as a prequel it didn’t make sense to me. But now I realize the suit is heavier and not ideal for his nightly escapades. While from a glance it seems better, it limits him from being as agile and stealthy as hed like to be. Overall the suit is awesome and im glad they went down that route, even if it did confuse me for a good while.
I still can't beleive they used the back breaker Bane is known for and used it as a transition into a cutscene. LIKE HOW THE HELL DOES BATMAN WALK THAT OFF?!
Batman's bulky ass armor plot saved him. NOW, if TN-1 Bane TRIED THAT SHIT....... Also gonna point out that the Knightfall event DID happen in the Arkham Series, so Batman did LATER GET MESSED UP whenever he and Bane met each other after Origins.
@@SuspiraVictim1 That's actually insane, that means Bane forgot Batman's Identity only to learn about it later. I really need to read the nightfall comics now.
@@TheXboxCreeper While the Knightfall event happened in the Arkham Series, it's clear thanks to Origin's story, that the event would happen differently in the series. I guess in the Series context, Bane (though impaired by memory loss) was able to BREAK Batman's back regardless of him being in control of himself. My guess is that Batman was either too reckless in fighting Bane (who is now the size of Tn-1 / Asylum Bane) or was overwhelmed in a straight up fist fight that Bane managed to hold him down to fuck him up. Batman Arkham Asylum even references Batman getting his "get back" for that event.
@@Ayyothatsbrandogaming I guess it would have to, tbf as much crap as I give Bane post-TN1 he is still super strong so It makes sense he was able to pull something off.
i totally agree with ur opinion on bane's portayal here.. also origins got me into arkham games which is now my favorite video game series to date and for that it takes a special place in my heart.. i would also put it at the top of the series as the atmosphere is awesome here.. also roger and troy we impeccable in their respective roles.. pity it had so many bugs and general lack of polish, but that's to be expected working with the timeline they had.. i wonder if wb ever looks on the cult following behind this game and finally creates a remake/remaster in arkham knight style with a couple of tweaks, so the game can get the recognition it deserves.. most likely not tho:/
Something else I’m glad he mentioned. True to the comics, the joker does not mess around with Bane. Bane doesn’t tolerate his antics the way other villains do and joker usually stays clear of him.
I really like Origins. It's my second favorite of the series, after Asylum. Bane's portrayal in the game is indeed excellent, though I really like all the villains. The main issue with that is that I'd class Deathstroke as final boss material, but it doesn't mess up the game for me!

And as the fight went on and Bane started running, and destroying vents the worse I felt.
I ended up winning the fight, but man I was exhausted after it was over.
That TN-1 fight is unforgettable, I still vaguely remember my first experience with it to this day
That shit horrified me as a kid. The only thing that compares to it nowadays are Monstrum and Amnesia: The Bunker.
The way bane was portrayed before the monstrous transformation in Origins is how he should be in Canon.
WB did a fantastic job, and this version of Bane has and will stick with me for a long while.
"Joker's crazy ass shoots at Bane, so Bane responds with a FUCKING rocket launcher"
Something about that sentence got me 😂
Bane is absolutely terrifying in this game and I love it. That also extends to the multiplayer of this game. Playing as a Joker thug when bane gets called out, it becomes a pseudo horror game. And that's WITH Batman and Robin hunting you as well
Hell nah, I would go and hide in the nearest corner. Ain't no way I'm about to deal with the dynamic duo and BANE
@@TheXboxCreeper looks like u never played Multiplayer
I think Bane's assassin introduction is also cool and demonstrates his skills and strength. Bane is up against about three enemies one armored and two enforcers. He jumps down onto the armored one and instantly takes him out of the fight and then he expertly beats the two enforcers before neck lifting the two of them and snapped their necks in a matter of seconds.
The enforcers are about Bane's height and probably weigh close to him as well, which is about 500 pounds. Bane just lifted 500 pounds in each arm and he wasn't even using Venom. This shows how dangerous and powerful Bane is.
In a scrapped version of the script I did talk about that scene. Cause the fact he took those three down effortlessly was cold as hell.
@@TheXboxCreeper It really was. Really shows if Bane wanted to take over the Gotham Underworld he and his crew would absolutely annihilate the competition.
I just love tbat WB Montreal made the TN1 as an explanation for why Bane is more of a meathead in the other Arkham games.
That is such a good point, they really did a great job making a younger and angrier Batman.
Yeah I remember when I first found that, I got really hyped. Dude shed his weakness then got to work cleaning up his homeland. Huge W for Bane.
I’ve never played Arkham Origins but am a massive Bane fan. I’ve never seen these cutscenes before and the way u contextualise them makes them so cold. Bane is an S tier comic book villain
This version of Bane has actually gotten me interested in the comics. Not only that but he's become my favorite Batman villain.
@@TheXboxCreeper yeh I’m not surprised. He’s that good In terms of games this might be my favourite portrayal of Bane I’m about to replay Arkham knight which has another one of my favourite villain portrayals in Scarecrow. Honestly mate didn’t notice u were such a small channel until now because this video is such high quality And the views speak for themselves.
The thing about Bane that is awesome is that he has a moral code. He can be a sympathetic villain and many call him a anti-villain
I’m going to miss the super cool and smart Bane
Same, I'm currently playing through Arkham Asylum and it's painful seeing the brute version of Bane again.
@@lakshaykochhar6799 really 🤩🤩🤩
will ALWAYS appreciate a video that appreciates Arkham Origins. that game deserves all the love it's still getting as one of the 4 Arkham games.
however, Bane doesn't "push" Joker around and "tell him what to do" in a way you're implying. he's telling him in his own brutish way that if he wants to see Batman dead to just wait and he'll kill him for him when he arrives. the determination and confidence excite Joker who is ready to see how it plays out and ends, even by his own demise.
i too replay Origins yearly for xmas and is my favourite in the franchise. i like all of them and don't like to compare, but Origins does everything right and the music pumps the atmosphere to high level. i'm glad people still replay and appreciate this Arkham gem that surpasses other Arkham games in my opinion.
Fair enough, I never thought of it like that
Bane from Arkham is the reason I call my friends 'payaso' when they're on some BS
Origins has always been a personal favorite of mine, has it flaws but also some awesome sequences and this version of Bane is the best imo, he’s at his peak in this game
Bane was literally standing on business, from finding out Batman’s identity to destroying the batcave and killing Alfred
That's why in the animated series Bruce and Batman used different voices.
Just wanted to let you know of a cool fact about Bane deducing Batman’s identity that you might’ve not known
So in essence Bane recognized Bruce’s voice from his interview with Viki where he says, “You just ran out of time” when he says it once again (as Batman) to Bane after the end of the boss the fight. You can make out both versions of the lines during the cutscene where Batman figures out Bane knows his identity. Cool stuff!
Thats awesome, I was wondering how he did it and now I know
So glad someone else sees just how great origins is.
The only reason I won't fully replay this videogame is how fucking scary the last Bane fight is, I genuinely cant go through that again.
13:01 the fact the jokers down with this plain is insane
Before coming across this video, I didn’t know it yet, but I have been waiting for this video ever since I played Arkham Origins. Thank you.
it was my pleasure, ranting about Bane is always a good thing
Nice to see another Arkham Origins enjoyer. Bane is an absolute monster in this game and it was sad to see him the way he was in Asylum and City. Origins Bane was on another level. Smart, strong, and came so close to breaking the Bat once again.
Loved the introduction of the Arkham Asylum theme at 8:40
Glad you caught that, the music in that game was too good. I just had to include it
In the first fight you can stop his grab attack by throwing batarangs at him
Another thing is, those goons are there because if you jump over them, you are granted invincibility frames
Imma have to try that Batarang tip, cause I didn't know that was possible
I will absolutely read those comics sometime soon. I think Bane might genuinely become my favorite Batman villain.
bro you're gonna blow up if you keep making these type of videos. Not even an arkham fan but loved the commentery. Keep it up!
The moment Bane saw Batman he said "It's on sight!"

I'm so glad you think so. I've been trying to push for higher quality in my videos so comments like these make my day.
Dude 2.4k views is insane, this deserves way more. Great work brother
Honestly origins is the most comic accurate name has ever been in media, a strategic genius with an addiction to venom
Dude Arkham Origins Bane is literally one of the best villains I’ve ever seen in fiction. SERIOUSLY underrated 💯
I thought this had at least 100k views. Massively underrated channel.
He was SO good. The Best Bane adaptation in Arkham💯
*8 assassins*
Me: i know damn well bane wasn't a assassin, he is a fuckin menace😂
as a huge batman fan i must say that this video was very well put together well done
Well said, but you watched it HOW MANY TIMES? Like damn, glad you enjoyed it
@@TheXboxCreeper thanks. Yeah I really have watched it THAT many times, the video is really THAT entertaining. Another reason why this video is so great is because there are also a few comedic elements in it. For example,
"It damages the memory centre of the Bane", I don't know if others found this one funny, but it was during the part where Joker was saying "twas the right before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was staring not even a, well a bat was staring but a few more blows to the head and he won't be anymore" I love how during the first part of that, you're showing all the damage that Bane has already caused.
A couple things to add:
-The story for Origins establishes the legendary enmity between Batman and the Joker, and Bane’s presence helps make that happen.
Arkham Origins is one of my favorite games of all time and Bane being this freaking goated is quite a big contributing factor.
6:22 I love what you did here, and bane is my favorite villain in this game, also, this is my favorite Arkham game❤❤ 6:47 also fun fact: if you just run in circles, the whole entire time staying away from bane he won’t even hit you, all you have to do is run in circles😅
P.S I know I’m late with this, but another fun fact: 7:18 where Bane grabbed Batman and lifted him, you can actually counter this attack, it’s a blue attack, meaning you need to press Y or triangle if you play PlayStation, to counterattack and escape Bane’s grasp, it’s always so satisfying to me, I purposely let bane grab me that why I can counter it
The biggest menace would be the guy that decided counters sometimes shouldn’t work.
FACTS
this version of Bane would've shut riddler down in a few seconds
Bane gives Joker 1 minute 3:40 to 4:35 and he comes back in 1 minute!
Bane Is the man of his word! This is why I want Arkham Origins to get a remaster!
Arkham Origins deserves to be remastered!
@@TheXboxCreeper Exactly!!!! 👍🏻
Fun fact: The gargoyles on the Royal Hotel rooftop are talons from the court of owls if you look closely
Ngl Bane and the Joker make a formidable duo

Wow what a great video bro!! Keep it going!
I have been saying this for years, they shouldn't have made electrocutioner that strong. I think he's the reason the game is overly hated.
the venom fight on i am the night took years off my life span
understandable
All in all: Bane was playing 4D chess during the entirety of Arkham Origins
You leave me no choice, MR. WAYNE

8:25 Batman turned around at the he was thinking “WHAT DID YOU SAY?”
When written well, Bane is actually my favorite comic book villain of all time.
I wish Bane was the main villian and Joker was a sidequest or something, truly a fantastic rendition that took the right elements from both the original comic rendition and the Nolan one
Kraven in Spider-Man 2 reminds me of Bane in this game, both are smart and such good rivals.
Bro the bane TN-1 boss fight terrified the ever living hell out of me when I was a kid, I just straight up never picked up origins again back then because it scared me so much.. if only I knew how close I was to the end.
I just loved your video mate, keep it up!
i loved arkham origins when it came out, my brother hated it but i thought it was awesome. i was 8 when it came out (and when i played it) so i wasn’t really that online at the time and didn’t know about how much people hated it until later on. it makes me so happy that this game has been getting so much love in the past few years
I love how Bane knows not to give Batman time to breathe. He pulls him down from the elevator roof and throws him to the wall and INSTANTLY rushes him to grab his throat and start knocking him around. He did all this in like 10 seconds. I can just imagine Batman going "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!" when it was over
Thats exactly what I was thinking. Batman probably got whiplash, bro went from safe and sound to bruised and battered real fast.
Batman Having a much heavier armour in his younger days for more protection but it makes him much less mobile is such a cool details in this game.
Well said, great video
@@TheXboxCreeperor it happens different in the arkham verse
Subbed. GREAT video man keep it up
Yeah, I remember my heart pounding every step of the balcony fight with bane on I am the knight mode during my quest to platinum it.
I really like Origins. It's my second favorite of the series, after Asylum. Bane's portrayal in the game is indeed excellent, though I really like all the villains. The main issue with that is that I'd class Deathstroke as final boss material, but it doesn't mess up the game for me!
Im actually in the same boat. Origins is my second favorite game and Asylum is the first. Im making a video talking about it as we speak.
Finally someone who realized this. Honestly I think this is the best adaptation of bane ever. Even better than dark knight rises.
