Well, the theater is definitely the way to go... However, I would say that if you only have access to one of those multiplex deals, save your money. I have never yet seen an accurate representation of “Dune” done onscreen. Every version focuses on the science fiction and the romance, while ignoring the brilliant commentary Frank Herbert wrote about every aspect of society. After reading his “Dune” series, I have never viewed our world the same way.
Thank you for this comment. I genuinely don't understand the common sentiment about the faithfulness of this new adapted series. Did I read a different book? It often seems so.
@@skipdee No, you and I read and comprehended the “Dune” series correctly. I believe that society would rather live in the “Matrix” of ignorance (pardon my mixing of stories), than face the reality of how different factions of our society manipulate and control the masses. @@ERAforALL The Achilles' heel of all three versions has definitely been making it all about Paul. With these new, "faithful" films, I have some second-hand embarrassment for the people who have been drawn into Dune for the first time on the promise of a typical hero's journey, which they just won't get. How the filmmakers can justify focusing it that way--while now quite emphasizing new, cringy goo that Paul has to say to Chani--is bound to alienate the basic audience that only wants that stuff by the time they get around to Dune Messiah, if they do that book any justice. I've seen that the director of this series wants to end his Dune project there, which is baffling in itself. What was the point of doing this for him other than the spectacle? It's on track to say very little at all despite the wonderful depth of the books, which I suspect no one has read beyond Children of Dune, if even that. By minimizing the politics, tinkering with the world-building (why do Thufir's eyes do that? how is Teg going to do that when he develops hyperspeed?) and avoiding the deeper information of all the players involved (like you said, the elite, merchants, religions and governments--where was CHOAM? or the Spacing Guild? or talk of the Tleilaxu?), the series runs out of places to go and reasons to go there very fast. What's even left of God Emperor or Heretics? It would have been nice if people who actually loved the whole series and everything it was about had gotten this kind of opportunity to adapt it. TL; DR - Agreed.
Based on his track record, I really think Denis is going to pull this off. After this I hope he does something like Metabarons, or maybe one of Clive Barker's dark fantasy epics.
And contrarians will STILL say the 80's trash was better than Dennis' incredible realization of science fiction's crown jewel. Unreal. Can't wait for this

This Part Two's trailer is as impressive as the Part One. Everything about its first part, has been sustained in the second part also, the Visual Style, stunning Visuals, brilliant Cinematography, Hans Zimmer's Music and the Villeneuve's exceptional Direction. The survived cast of the first part continues their journey along with few new characters are introduced and again the whole ensemble cast is great. The Timothee, Rebecca, Zendaya, Florence, Austin and much more are all incredible.
Its wormin' time
When back stroke becomes a chat-up line
FINALLY! An adaptation gives their Stillsuits goggles.
Loved how he said, "That's not hope!"
Based on his track record, I really think Denis is going to pull this off. After this I hope he does something like Metabarons, or maybe one of Clive Barker's dark fantasy epics.
He’s doing Rendezvous with Rama next, and he’s the perfect person to adapt it
Dune: Prepare to Worm
Dune part 1 was peak especially the music
Hopefully part 2 would surpass part 1 in both aspects
This will be one of the best book adaptation since lord of the rings
I'm watching this on IMAX for sure! The first one was a masterpiece.
Paul: "it's breathtaking"
Keanu: "no you are breathtaking"
I need them to re-release part one for IMAX
Guess what?! I got a fever…and the only prescription…is more Dune movies!
Please no deleted scenes like first!!!
I can't wait til November.
Loved part one. Part two will be epic.
A director who RESPECTS THE SOURCE MATERIAL? Inconceivable!!!
I'm very excited to see this. I hope it's four hours long. If it's not, let there be an extended version that is.
Nice trailer but why did i think of the lion king with that music...Ingonyama nengw' enamabala (se-to-kwa!)!!!!!!😂😂😂😂
And contrarians will STILL say the 80's trash was better than Dennis' incredible realization of science fiction's crown jewel. Unreal. Can't wait for this
Him riding the Sandworm is insane!
The only movie I m going to watch in cinema hall
0:40 Feyd-Rautha!!
This is of biblical proportions. Beyond excited.
Long live the fighters 3.11.2023 experience it in IMAX
LONG LIVE SHAI HALUUUD
FATHER, THE SLEEPER HAS AWAKEN!
I can’t even control my excitement
This is going to absolutely awesome. I loved the first adaptation and this will definitely not disappoint 😎👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
As long as it doesn’t rain in the last scene, I’m good!
I really hope they continue this thing into the whole series, id pay to see all of it im just not sure who would be able to play a multiton human sandworm hybrid that spends thousands of years trolling humanity.
Villeneuve has spoken of doing at least Dune: Messiah, he said that much. There’s hope for more!
@@NSnicket Hey id be cool with that, but I feel like you can't do dune messiah without children anymore than you could've done dune part 1 without dune part 2 so if they do messiah then children better come after... And if that happens then seeing the god emperor (3000 year old version) will be a serious possibility lol
@@ryanw7196 yeah, the impression I get is he’s mainly concerned with completing Paul’s arc and he considers that to really be those first two books. But who knows what might happen? If he carries on in this vein, I’m game to see whatever he shows us. He’s doing splendidly.
Werner Herzog could play God Emperor Leto
Or just hire an actual Leto.
God Emperor of Dune: Jared Leto
Here's something i almost never say anymore about the current state of movie production... I can't wait for this one!
Jusg as a tangent of curiosity, What language is this by the way? Hebrew? Russian?
@@Tom_McMurtry its russian
@@theovva Thanks :))
@@Tom_McMurtry you welcome
Man what a good couple of movies. Denis Villeneuve is a goddamn magician
"Epic. Spectacular. Charming, and I'm in love with Dune."💛🔥✨️
The 2021's Visual Spectacle, Dune is back with continuing the story forward in more expansion on the world of the Arrakis. The wait for this part is incomparable, the novel narration which had left us in the half middle way is going to be epic now and would get chance to dive deep in the extraordinary world of Dune. The desperation to experience this art piece has made an anticipated hype and I'm so excited for this Sandworm ride which only Sci-fi adventure fans could relate...💙💛💙💛
Man! The music and sound just makes this even more epic!
I still wish, though, that they would use Inama Nushif again at some point. That song deserves an oscar and all the praise in the world!!!!
Weird. I might watch it.
Trolling!
O trailer tá deslumbrante, que o filme seja também.
Thank you for really gentle adaptation of the great book. I love it so much
Is that blond woman the emperor's daughter? Princes Irulan? Is that pale looking guy Feyd? It looks pretty good. It looks as good as the first one at least. I hate the music though. Sounds like the wonder woman movie music. They don't show Christopher Walken as the emperor in this? I wonder if that didn't work out?
Yeah that's the Princess and Feyd.
Feyed is Austin Butler (Elvis)
