I keep flipping between a somber happiness of seeing how many people were influenced and touched by Toriyama's work, seeing how his little quirks and style and writing impacted so much worldwide and crying at the thought he was taken too soon. Nobody will ever forget you, Toriyama.
Just as so so many of us related to Gohan's arc and Super Saiyan 2, seeing ourselves in the boy becoming a man, we now carry the torch of the man who started it all. Thank you Akira Toriyama for all the memories and boundless inspiration. I hope Heaven's as great as how you drew it.
Doesn't feel like it happened. Toriyama gave us a wonderful world to explore. Thank you for the world's and memories to keep going. Thanks for the tribute Kaiser
His work has had a significant impact on my life. The Android saga of Kai airing weekly was something to look forward to during a rough time in my childhood, and there’s also the absurd amount of time my brother and I spent together playing Raging Blast 2 around that time. The franchise will always remain close to me. Rest in peace, Toriyama.
I feel silly that I’ve been crying about this since I heard. But Akira Toriyama through his work helped me forge friendships over the mutual love for his series and through that I have had so many of my fondest memories. I remember playing the dbz games with my cousins and brothers and all the laughs and fights we have. My kids now love watching dragon ball and my oldest loves to pretend to launch kamehamehas at me. I feel like I owe this man so much and never truly got the chance to express it. Farewell Akira Toriyama you will be missed but your legacy will live on forever.
RIP! Not only did he make my childhood awesome it also helped me connect to others who had the same experience. He connected the whole world! Thank you, Toriyama!!
Like I said on another's video. This dude created a legacy that will live on forever, through the content he had made, and from all the amazing fans who kept it strong for so long. RIP Akira Toriyama.
No... really? Oh god... I... have no words. Man... My hero. Our hero. Thank you for giving me, us, everything. You made our childhood special. Rest now. We'll be okay... somehow. Thank you, Toriyama. You were everything to me.
When I saw those words my heart just dropped. It hard to believe he’s gone now. 3-4 generations he’s influenced. It’s really hard to believe any of this.
Dragon Ball has been a part of my life since I was a kid. Piccolo started my love for outsider characters who weren't the protagonist but were almost as good. Flights of Goku angels sing thee to thy rest, good sir.
Oda's words really stick with me "May heaven be the joyous world you have envisioned" I can't imagine a greater honor to regard the work of an artist. Akira Toriyama created a world so full of wonder and life that it is fitting for him to be there himself, halo and all.
