The writer/director actually did intend to end the movie with the earth being destroyed but Disney obviously wouldn't let her. Gotta say, I admire her hubris for thinking she could be the one to end the MCU with the Eternals movie of all things.

They did this with phase 1 but I think it just feels worse now because we’ve seen them do really good, even with origin films. Also, it is being done at such a large scale that it’s making it really obvious. When you’re releasing multiple products every year you’re going to get more trash products yearly as well. It was so much better when they were focusing on 1 to 2 movies at most with the occasional third movie thrown in. Now they have 2 to 4 movies every year with multiple TV shows. Why aren't all Eternals made exactly like Icarus? Their only objective is to kill the deviants and not interfere with a species's evolution. So if that's the case, why not just make all of them incredibly strong, able to fly with laser vision? Athena is meant to be specialized in fighting or whatever but gets easy clapped by Icarus. So, what then? Is she useless? Because it seems like it. A lot of their powers besides Icarus seem solely useful to meddle with the lives of humans. How does that make sense?

They're there to protect the people and minimize collateral damage, Sprite with her illusions can distract deviants away from populated areas while Druig evacuates the residents. Sersi and Fatsos can help humans rebuild or advance for a faster emergence. It's possible Kingo's abilities are on par with Icarus, but focused in a more ranged direction to cover Ikaris' weaknesses.

For we must all appear before “the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” (2 Corinthians 5:10)
We will be judged for every deed we do whether is be good or bad. This isn’t something to worry about even if our bad deeds out weigh our good. Because none are good before God, all have sinned against Him and cursed His name, but He in His tender loving mercy hath given us His Son as our ransom. When Jesus was dying all of Gods wrath and judgement was poured out onto Him even though He was sinless. He was sacrificed and tortured on our behalf though we are sinful and carnal. Christ payed our sin debt with His perfect sinless blood so we may escape judgment and have everlasting life. But this great gift is only for those who accept it and accept Him ❤️

It’s kind of odd to give all of the Eternals different powers. Like, *only* Ikaris can fly, which is a power that honestly all of them should have.
And the powers range from amazing to weak.
Kingo’s finger guns are noticeably weaker than Ikaris’ laser eyes *and* need to be charged up to do any real damage, so Ikaris makes him redundant, Druig’s mind control doesn’t work on deviants or eternals, so he can only use it on humans, and he’s specifically not supposed to do that, Makkari is deaf because of the sonic booms her speed causes, Sprite’s illusions are largely pointless when the fighters just rush in and slaughter the deviants, and Ajak’s healing is so slow that she can’t really use it until the fight is over.

Because if he moves at light speed sure he can get it done in like 8 minutes, but obviously he doesn't move at light speed because if he did Makari would be useless and the Eternals would not have defeated him. Even at the speed of sound it would take like weeks just to fly all the way up and he never thought "hmm maybe I should go back down or something to find a quicker way to get killed"

I don't think the high budget has to do with how good a movie will be, it's the writing. Since we have so many movies now and the accessibility, we are getting more selective with the movies we watch (which is good). Before, when it was less accessible to get movies and less movies were coming out each year, you had to be happy with what you had, now we can choose and it's made us realise we should just watch better movies

    • @perenniallachrymosity276
      @perenniallachrymosity276 2 года назад +1

Personally, I don't think it's really fair to have a bar that gets raised based on the progress of technical advancements. Filmmakers already have so much on their shoulders with the film classics that came before, raising expectations based on something that not everybody has access to (larger budgets) and something that's bound to happen (advancements in movie tech). Wanting more and asking more automatically instead of just enjoying movies based on their own individual merits doesn't seem... uh, right.
I mean, Battleship Potemkin was released back in 1925 if everything adhered to this bar then lordy lawd what would movies be like right now? 👀

I really enjoyed parts of it, but I feel like it would have functioned a lot better better as a TV show, as that would have given the audience room to breathe and to get to know the characters better. The scene about not helping in the fight against Thanos really bugged me too, especially since he’s half deviant in the comics and his plan directly interfered not only with Earth’s baby celestial, but many others across the universe I’m sure. Three hours is also not enough to make them 3 dimensional characters even if you give them their own moments. I was hyped for the eternals and even defended it from the people who instantly hated it before it even released. So i was genuinely disappointed of it being this bad. So much wasted potential, the most practical way of approaching this would've been a series of movies where the characters pop in a few at a time. Or a straight up series with a few seasons.

Thinking about the emotions thing, it would've been better if they used the comics origin for the Eternals: Genetically Engineered "Humans"; In the comics, as godly as both Deviants and Eternals might look, they all "evolved" along with humanity, in fact they're cousins to humans and compatible enough to have children, that's why they also aren't completely controlled by the Celestials (Although their bodies as "coded" to follow certain rules, and if an Eternal breaks said rules the body starts to die or just feel immense pain)
The problem with this is: There wouldn't be a reason for Eternals to only have certain powers. In the comics all Eternals have the exact same powers, they're just way more talented at certain aspects of these powers (Sprite can deceive anyone, Sersi can transmutate all, Ikaris can punch you real good)

Because it wasn't a CGI fest like that Marvel keeps on pushing out for the sake of it, No way Home was good but not as great as Spider-Man 2.
I'm not staying saying CGI is bad I'm saying that's it only bad when it stands out and used way too much.
For example Iron Man's CGI in Iron Man 1 was great and Black Panther's suit in Civil War was completely CGI but I only found out when someone told me it was and I was amazed.
The CGI in No Way Home looks unfinished especially for lizard and Sandman.

Batman and No Way Home at a very similar in rank to me. I loved the movies but had a minor problem with both, with no way home not all the villains were necessary some were just there and not enjoyable and for The Batman Bruce Wayne separated from Batman was not enjoyable. I’d give them both about a 90%

@@EDSmitty11 What do you mean Bruce Wayne separated from Batman?

@@moron4 just the man not the bat, wasn’t sure how to say it because him as Batman was amazing and don’t want people thinking I disliked that.

@@kidanhone6048 I mean you’re insane for fucking doing so but that’s totally your opinion and that’s fine. I love No Way Home but Spider-Man 2 is the greatest super hero movie of all time.

No way home has a weaker impact of Doc Ock turning good because Doc Ock is forced to turn good in no way hom.But in Spider-Man 2 he chooses to become good because Peter reaches to his humanity.
I only like good CGI for example Black panthers suit in Civil War.
I'm really exited for Moon Knight and Doctor Strange 2.
