This video arrived at the perfect time! I have the M50, kit lens, 22mm and Sigma 16mm, but I’m after a super wide angle. After seeing the 10-18mm footage, that’s what I’m going to go for! Your channel is my absolute favourite for support with my new camera. Thank you so much!
So glad the 22mm is the first in the list. I have my pancake lens 99% of the time locally, and is my main lens when I travel to Japan and I use the m50 as a stills camera.
I have the 10-18mm. I’ve always been amazed by a wide field of view, so this lens fit the bill. Low light performance is not great but it renders nice landscape photos that my other lenses couldn’t provide. Nice work
I really love these kind of videos. I have recently bought a Canon M50 and your videos really helped me. Keep going because it is a great camera for the price sold
Hi Segee (sorry if I spelled that wrong, I couldn't find it on your channel page), I just picked up the 16mm Sigma f/1.4 EF-M lens using your affiliate link. My biggest M50 complaint is trying to film in low light some of my openings and talking head segments. The kit lens just wasn't cutting it with the available aperture, but my nifty fifty needed to be too far away. This is the perfect solution for my needs. Thanks for your well done and well thought out videos!
Hey Ziggy. Hope i have the correct spelling. I am an aspiring photographer and i just want to say thanks very much for helping make the decision to finally buy the M50 Mark I. I find the content was really dynamic where it was concise for persons who aren't too accustom to the photography language and still incorporated some technical terms for those enthusiasts. I purchased my camera and received it last Thursday and i can't wait to post images on my page. I've watched all videos regarding photography probably at least twice and the knowledge I've gained is very useful. Again thanks very much!
Cool video 👍🏼... I was waiting for you to get to the Sigma 16mm. That is literally the lens that got me into vlogging!! I love it! Im here for when you instruct me on the M50 V2 when it drops!! Im countin on you homie 👊🏼
Hey Sagi. Hope you and yours are well. That was an outstanding comparison video for all of the lens options for the M50. So many videos on youtube talk about one or two lenses in particular and do not always show the comparison footage as you have done. That video told me everything i needed to know about prime and zoom lens options and how the depth of field, framing, low light performance and vlogging options would turn out depending on the intended use. I also like the fact you were specific on dimensions and weight and flagged where gimbal use would be possible and challenging. This one video has informed me more than ten others i have watched. Thanks Sagi. Now i can see the real life differences between wider angles of view and fixed focal length primes. The other interesting facts were on the 10-18mm lens how much wider you can get over the 15-45mm kit lens. It also emphasises how good and flexible the 15-45mm kit lens actually is. Shame the EF-M 22mm f/2 does not have IS and shame the Signa 16mm prime and ND does not balance well with the M2 gimbal. For my travel and talking head videos, i think the 22mm pancake is too narrow, the Sigma 16mm is so much better on the optics yet has no IS and is heavy on a small travel gimbal. I would probably go for the 11-22mm over the 10-18mm on the basis the latter needs a converter. Not having any other EF or EF/S lenses makes this less flexible. And lastly, despite its low light limitations, the 15-45mm kit lens seems to be a great all round lens not deserving of the bad press kit lenses sometimes get. So it would be the 11-22mm for me oh and a small LED light!! Thanks again Sagi. Stay safe and healthy. Ray
I love you for this! Thanks so much. Now Ill be able to choose my camera and Lens!! You rock, have to admit, your one of my youtube hero’s. You do such a great job.
Great video. Very helpful. That graphic that illustrated what the various f-stops looks like was extremely helpful. It's counterintuitive to think that the lower the number, the bigger the opening and more light is let into the lens. As a complete noob to photography and video, I naturally think that a lower number equals smaller opening and less light. You should include that graphic everytime you discuss f-stops. It really reinforces the lesson and idea of what f1 is versus say f5. After all pictures are worth a thousand words.
thanks for all the information. i'm a user Eos m50 and want to have wide lens for my vlogging to waterfalls. this is really helping me for choosing the lenses i need it

I have nothing but love and respect for you and your amazing videos. Your reviews on the m50 have led me to buy it and encouraged me to start my photography path. Thank you for being an incredible teacher!
Love your videos. I upgraded to the M50 (from the M3) on the strength of your reviews, and I am not disappointed. I am not a blogger- yet- but I agree, the 15-45 is a fantastic lens in good light- also, the 22m pancake is a no brainer for sheer quality and portability- I think this could be one lens I could live with forever- I also have the EF S 10-18mm from my existing slr setup- it's a great budget lens, and I have used it for many days with a third party adaptor (Meike) which works flawlessly on the M50 and is one quarter of the price of the Canon adaptor in the UK. I'm now hankering after the Sigma 16mm, and the other 2 Sigmas- oh well- better earn some money! x
Your videos keep getting better. By far the best comparison video on these lenses that I have seen. I have the kit lens and the 22mm. They have been a great duo so far. I am saving for the Sigma. I think you have sold me on it. For future videos, I would love for you to explain what you do in post with your audio because it sounds great.
