Awesome video. You pretty much fill my wishlist every episode. If you are ever inclined, can you make a video on M50 as dslr with eos utility (I've watched your video from 6 months ago)? So, go a couple steps past connection into actual use. With OBS I think you have to end task the utility and with Zoom I've never figured out how to not get cut off in 30 minutes (not battery issue, running on adapter). You are the best. Have a great weekend.
@@andrewandary9548 Of course, get the advantage of the update for canon M50 ii to get the M50 cheaper. It is a nice camera to test the world of mirrorless cameras. Without any doubt, the best option regarding quality and price.
Now this is SO useful ! I have recently bought my first ever camera (m50), so this information is very relevant even today. May I add that having watched a ton of videos related to this subject, this is the clearest most easiest to understand and well presented that I have seen to date.
I just ordered an M50 on Black Friday to start my photography journey📸📹 and your videos are helping a lot with knowing what's needed to get started and advance a bit! Thank you ❤️
@Coo Koo Loving it so much. I'm now using it mainly as a web cam for my virtual WFH. And occasionally take it for taking photos. As long as you get yourself some good lenses 😃
Just got an M50 to learn more about photography and expand my graphic design career. Your videos are very informative and straight to the point. Looking to watch your video on choosing lenses next c:
Thought you might like to know I bought an M50, small rig case and power junkie on your recommendation and I've loved it. It even came in clutch last weekend at a friend's wedding when their photographer pulled out at the last minute. I was able to take 1200 records of their special day without running out of juice.
I bought canon m50 because of you and petermckinnon and now i am enjoying this small beast with efs kit lens and 50mm prime lens👍for a pro begginer this is best thing😅
That was the most helpful & comprehensive video on Canon M50 gear. I love how you explain the purpose and benefit of each gear too and essentially provided all the basic gear one would need all the way to the case/bag. Thank you very much 💛
literally going to buy this camera as a first camera! Take pics traveling when we go to Cambodia !!! All your vids really helped with the decision , thank u!
I love this video! I am picking up an M50 and your videos have really helped me learn more about the camera and what I can do to get the maximum out of it. Thanks Sagi!
Been looking for a microphone for 2 people and have seen different ones and have been undecided. The fact that you recommended one I will be buying for sure as we do Travel vlogs and always struggle with our Rode MicPro so thank you 👍
I have the M50 with the kit lens. What lens should I buy if I’m sitting in front of a green screen talking or eating food? I have a small area for the green screen and have to zoom in quite a bit to hide the space outside the green screen. Help plz.
Thank you so much for taking time to create these video. They are very educational and help novices like me be more informed about making purchases. You got yourself another subscriber and have convinced me to buy a M50 in 2020.
Great video s, Sagi. I have the Canon M50 Mk2 and purchased a microphone called MOVO XR10. The microphone worked the 1st couple of times but now get no sound. I've ruined several YT videos that have absolutely zero sound. I thought I had sound but not until I looked at the video did I discover there's no sound. I prefer the shotgun forward sound which is why I purchased the MOVO VXR10 mic. So I'm hoping the Diety D4 mic will give pick up forward sound as well as my voice when I speak into the mic while shooting footage.
Amazing video and VERY helpful, I appreciate the help, served me well for purchasing my accessories since we just got an M50 Mark II for the office, Thank you so much!
Broo!! Thanks man this video was so helpful!! I didn’t even know there was this much accessories for the m50! I swear i thought i was the only one that used this camera😅😂 awesome video ! Definitely found this 10000% useful
Just recently bought the M50 and so so happy I stumbled across your channel. I've been watching all your videos on the Canon M50. I've even been watching videos on other cameras or accessories as they're just so informative and interesting. Definitely will keep watching, and keep up the good work! Subscribed!
If you havent figured it out, you lose dual pixel autofocus when in 4k mode. It switches to contrast detection which is HORRIBLE on this body. So in 4k, you're better of focusing manually.
Hey Sagi. Super interesting video. Really liked the format and references to your other content. Super footage and shots on the accessories. Much better than other videos Stay safe and healthy. Ray
For indoor vlogging, what would you recommend getting first, the Sigma 16mm or a good key light? I have the Canon 22mm right now. Also, what do you think about the GVM G100W?
What lens would you recommend for sports photography and videography for the m50? I’m a college football player with a channel about my college football journey. I’m looking into some better lenses for my m50 to bring better videos for my audience. Thank you for the tips and this is a great video
Thank you for making these videos. I'm pretty new to the video/editing world and I was looking for a good beginner, budget friendly camera to buy myself for Christmas. Many reviews are old and that's expected because this camera isn't very new, especially with the new M50 Mark II on the market. But these videos help beginners like me who are on the fence of which camera (and accessories) to buy and are looking for authentic, current reviews and recommendations from a creditable RUclipsr. Thanks for being genuine and honest, that's all we really ask for ☺️
Just ordered my refurb with kit lens from Canon after trying and immediately returning the G7x mark iii because the autofocus still sucks. I already have the 70D and 6 lenses including some L's. Just ordered the Sigma 17-50/2.8 to try. I really hope I'm happy with the M50 because I'm getting this to carry on my bike or backpack for convenience. I have the Peak Designs strap mount too. Thanks and subbed!
Love your videos! I was thinking of buying the m2 crane can it handle the sigma 16mm 1.4 also which is a good tripod and bag for the m50 maybe under a 100 budget? Thank you.
One of the best of the best tutors out on RUclips. Love your detail of explanation and knowledge share. I am a starter and am interested to photoshoot natural landscapes mountains, clouds, sun rises and sets, beach sides etc. What lens would help me.
Should I buy body only and Sigma lens ? Thinking to order until I see your reply . What else should I buy as a beginner ? I hope you will reply before I press the checkout button .😀
Hi thank you for making such a wonderful contain video it really helps beginners like me, I'm in mid of starting my youtube channel and I saw your videos on canon s12 and M50, they both range of price is not that much but I'm confused to choose from this two, which is more user friendly for a beginner like me? you made a video on S12 lenses which were helpful but in your M50 lenses video, I got confused with the terms. I really like the M50 just worried if its too complex for me
Again, loved the education component and content in the video. Many thanks. I like the Gimbal, might go for it. I wish you could tell me, how necessary is the camera cage. I am hobby photographer do I need to buy that? What if I buy the L bracket? Hope to hear from you, again.
One thing with the smallrig cage, on the newer design with five 1/4-20 holes on the front bridge, the cold shoe is unusable with a bolt on handle. The boss of the handle protrudes such that you can't get anything on the shoe. I have contacted smallrig and they aren't really too interested in doing anything about it. I ended up getting a cold shoe plate and mounting it to a shoe plate mount and created an offset if you will that puts the whole thing above the boss. I use the Comica Boom-XD which so far has been a great little setup. I am also using the small NATO rail and NATO rail handle to be able to remove it easier when I don't need it.
Have you been looking at the best full frame lenses for the canon m50 with the speed booster ofcourse because I use the tamron 16-35 and it’s amazing but it’s too loud in need alternatives
another great video thanks - can you do a vid on the Crane M2? and yes, sigma lens make the camera, especially the 16mm - amazing in low light - good tripod essential too
Great video, Dude! I recently purchased the M50 II because of your recommendation and will be buying the lens and mic you discussed here. I mostly do educational videos. What lavalier mic do you use and can you share some recommendations for accessories if I wanted to use my camera for taking photos?
I was wondering if you could help those of us that bought a Parrot teleprompter yet are now having issues using it with the Sigma’s 16mm wide angle lens. This might also be a good video you can use for RUclips beginners. Thanks as always for the continued content.

I am planning to buy m6 mark 2 for content creation(3/4 hour long video recording for RUclips and other social media content).... As sony camera( my wish list was a7c) and lenses are expensive and don't like the picture colour so i prefer canon m6 mark 2 as it fit my budget and I am beginner also... What's your opinion about m6 mark 2 ? Can i use usb cable to connect that camera to my pc for using canon utility software and does autofocus work on that software and same time no autofocus sign coming on the monitor... Full screen the picture in the monitor with out any info and record it in obs ??... Another question.... Will the same usb cable that I am using to Connect the camera to pc will also charge the camera simultaneously while recording the video??.... Last question during the process should I press video record button on the camera or without video recording just open the camera focus on the subject and the screen that is going to pc that I can record in obs???...... I know my queries are long.... If you have the patience to read these long questions then plz give the answer..... Thanks...
I'm looking for a good lens for my M50 for a client promo to be shot as a video interview style in a small / medium room. My client wants a nice bokeh effect with soft lighting. Which lens would you reccomend (I'm thinking from the sigma range?). Thanks!
Thank you for sharing. I am looking at getting the M50 for my RUclips videos and have to admit, I know nothing about photography. I don't want to get caught into one of these kits that seem to sell me a bunch of extras I don't need and your video is the first that explains the why I need it not just a "get this" video. Quick question though, does the cage add protection to the camera or is it just make it better for the accessories? I'll be watching the rest of your videos as I make these decisions for sure. Oh and enjoyed seeing some shots of my hometown CLE as an added bonus!
So far one of the best series of m50 videos. Def subbed since i recently got my first camera a Canon m50. I had a bit of problems with lighting trying to take night shot portraits so looking into speedlites. I don't know much about high speed sync flashes and was wondering if the m50 supports it and what your thoughts and recommendations are. Thanks!
Thanks again for another great review. I have purchased the M50. How would you compare using a gimbal and the m50 to using the GoPro Hero7 and not using the M50 at all. For me this would be “B” roll footage. Or perhaps this is comparing apples to oranges.
Just wondering.. Thoughts on the new VILTROX 33 mm F1.4 lens? I want to invest in a new lens since my M50 came with the 15 to 45mm and the 55 to 200mm but I want to take pictures in low light in the winter and there's no way these two can handle it... Thank you!
I only leave a comment if the creator instills some really good knowledge thanks man you've helped me a lot in figuring out what gear to buy. thanks a lot
Hello I have the M50 with a cam link setup for live streaming and continuous recording via the Canon website- and I have the 2 wires plugged into both of the canon m50 port - where would I plug in a external monitor since the 2 ports are already in use? The canon flip out screen goes blank while live streaming so this is the reason I was thinking of having an external monitor. Hope I make sense lol thank you for your time 🤗
