What's up everyone?! I hope part one of this M50 series was useful in helping you set up your camera for video shooting. Were the tips helpful? What else have you done to make your life easier? Would love to know what you think 🙏
Please do some more. I also just received my new m50. It’s a little overwhelming considering I’ve only ever shot iPhone videos but I’m fast to learn. KEEP THIS SERIES GOING PLEASE
Guy, where's the second part? Thanks.
@@worditoutwoman Just realizing that Im not the only one looking for part 2 :)
Hey man, thanks for all the great job and effort! Really appreciate it, keep it up! Waiting for part 2 :)
Working on it guys! I promise!
So much info but presented in an easily digestible way. I feel like I just avoided 12 months of frustration and gained the same in understanding. Thank you. This is a great series.
So glad it's being helpful! I will make sure to continue it! Appreciate the support.
Thank you! This was great! I just got an m50 and learned a ton of stuff here. I use your logic on our own channel when it comes to detailing. Each situation may be different and there are so many variables, one has to choice for themselves through testing. Thanks again, great channel!!
Literally stumbled across your video yesterday, so this morning after I picked up my M50 from the postoffice, I sat through it and adjusted it with you step by step and cannot thank you enough. The instructions are clear, concise and you take time to explain them. So many RUclipsrs rush through a video, but this had the ideal pace to follow along in real time. Looking forward to Part2 and you now have a new subscriber. Thanks again.
So glad the video was helpful and that you were able to set up you new M50 (CONGRATS!!!).
Here is part 2 if you're ready: ruclips.net/video/jsmaRS0cyYQ/видео.html
I bought M50 one year ago according to your recommendation. actually you replied my comment below one of your video and after a long conversation you answered my questions and finally you recommended M50 according to my needs and my budget.
That is a great camera. I enjoyed it a lot.
I have to say thank you again and I appreciate you spent time and replied my comment and your honest advice. I wish you all the best ❤ You rock
I'm so glad I was able to help and it's nice to see that you're enjoying it 🙏
Is it just me or this guy looks like Ross from friends 😂
WE WERE ON A BREAK!!! 😂🤣
@@TechGearTalk Next time you play with an articulating screen on a camera tutorial, scream out PIVOT!
OMG…my exact sentiments 😊
Way better looking and far more likable.
Wow. I told my wife the same thing 😅👍👍
watching with my camera in hand--glad I found your channel
Awesome! Congrats. Watch both parts and good luck!
Me too.
I've only had my M50 for about a couple of weeks, then started looking at other (more pricey) cameras, but these videos have made me love it again and stop looking. For now.
Glad they were helpful and that you saved some $$$
This is a very helpful video. I've just bought the Canon M50 Mark II, and since I am a beginner (a real one), I need a lot of explanations to get started. You have made things clearer for me. Thank you very much!
Really keen for part two! Thanks for this vid.
Hi Sam, glad you liked it. I'm working on part 2, almost done.
My man, you are on 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Another gem. You are providing us an amazing service. Thank you!!
Doing my best to help - appreciate all the support!
👍
Thank you.
Just got my M50 this week, and have watched about 3-4 video tutorials on how to set up my camera for videos. Your video is clearly at the top of my list. Easy to understand especially the menu buttons which are already driving me crazy.
CONGRATS on the new camera. So glad I was able to help. Welcome to the channel!
Thanks so much for a well paced, detailed teaching. I am a community face to face, musician , who now during covid , wants to make videos to connect with the people that I love to play for. Cameras are totally new to me . Your clear visual and conversation style will make it possible for me to learn this magical medium.
This is the BEST M50 tutorial I have seen. Thank you!
That's awesome to hear David - super glad it was helpful. Thanks for being a part of the community 🙏
This video has been so incredibly helpful! I've watched a few different videos on the M50 but you got right to the point and didn't overwhelm me with a ton of things I don't need right now. Thank you for your help!!
Glad I found this. I just picked up this camera and have looked at a few resources for settings. The way you lay this out is perfect for me. I have saved this so I can come back when I go to setup my camera later. On to part 2 now.
I really like that you actually explain why you are choosing a specific setting over another, I feel more comfortable with my m50 now thanks!
THANKS BRO! I’ve just purchased a canon m50 and really needed this so I can ensure my videos are at the best settings!
Pease Do a video telling us what all the little icons mean on the screen when recording because at the moment I have no idea what they mean
Glad it was helpful. I might need to do "part 3" for that! Good idea.
The menu options shifted around a good bit in the M50 Mark ii. Hope you'll do a similar video for that model!
This saved me sooo much time!! Thank you so much, we are new to RUclips and have just purchased the M50 so we really had no idea how to work with the settings. We are so excited to get that crispy af cinematic look in our new videos :D
Super glad I was able to help. Don't forget to watch part 2: ruclips.net/video/UUPqjPs5Iw8/видео.html and check out some good lens options: ruclips.net/video/uORT1dfeS0M/видео.html

Thank you, so helpful I've had this camera for awhile and have felt defeated cause I was clueless about its features. This has brought so much sense and encouragement.

Congrats for your 60k subs! You definitely deserve many more!
Thanks Bob - I'm super grateful for the support 🙏
Hi there . I can't find the part 2 video
Fully-press -> Start/stop mov rec... thank you so much for this one!
Thank you so much!! I just picked up one of these cameras yesterday because I am looking to get better video quality for my RUclips channel. I was THOUROUGHLY confused since I have been previously using a cheap digital camcorder. This video has helped me IMMENSELY!! You da man!!
Sagee is a good man now.
Glad I could help! Thank you for being part of the channel!
Thank you, sooo much! I thought I had to become a Rocket Scientist to learn the features and settings on my new Canon M50.
Thank you for this tutorial. I was just sitting and configuring my camera according to this video and you liked my post on Instagram just now, haha :D
Glad it was helpful! Keep shooting!
I’m still deciding if this is what I’m looking for but the explanation and information you give is so helpful, esp for ppl like me that don’t know what any of those settings mean.. I’ve saved this video to rewatch as I need. Thank you for going into detail for us!!

Glad it was helpful! CONGRATS!
Thank you - your videos are the best detailed and easy to follow - just got the Canon M50 today and I can't wait to film tomorrow after setting it with your guidance :) many thanks ☺
CONGRATS on the new camera - super glad the videos have been helpful and thank you for joining the channel
This was excellent. Thank you for putting it together. Just picked up a Sigma 18-35mm today and paired it with my M50. Looks ridiculous, but the picture out of the pairing is pretty incredible.
CONGRATS!!! That is such a good setup man!!
As always, a great tutorial! Do you know if there is a way to lock the shutter speed? There are often times that I accidentally rotate the shutter scroll wheel as I press record and alter the shutter speed; not noticing until after putting the footage into post. Thanks for the awesome videos!
Hi there - thank you for the kind words. I have not seen a way to do that. I'll let you know if I do.
Thanks so much, Sagi! I just returned from Morocco where I took lots of photos with my M50, and I was just thinking that video needs to be the focus of my next learning curve. So this first of your instructional videos is uber-timely. Many thanks, Sylvia
Welcome back Sylvia - how was the trip? Glad the video was helpful - more to come!
This was so helpful from the very start of turning on your camera to really make this camera work for you instead of thinking you have to buy a more expensive camera because these features are unknown to you. Thank you so much, you have saved me so much money and creative frustration!
I'm so glad I was able to help!
Man went INNNN!… Yes he did!… :0)
I did my best - glad it was useful! 👊
Sir! Don't know why I've never found you before but you're the best teacher on here. You are a truly trusted source for me from now on. Thank you.
I tired to follow other tutorials but none of them are as complete and easy to understand as yours! Thank you!!!
Super helpful video! Thank you. Just got the m50 today! Beautiful camera.
I'm not a beginner, but for some reason I was watching and got addicted to learning the settings even though I knew what they did lol. I really just wanted to see photo and video quality because I'm about to buy the ark ii version and wanted to see differences between the two. Great vid!
This is so helpful! Plus, that last line was everything! "Buy nice or buy twice" so much truth in that. Thank you so much!
So glad it was helpful. Appreciate you being part of the channel.
Have been a Canon guy. Bought an M50 returned it to get a S__y Z_1 (for the what I thought would be superior focus tracking). Went back and bought the M50 again. The price had gone up $100. But am really really happy with it.
Absolutely the best tutorial on shooting video with the M50, You totally went at my pace to learn this great little camera. Thank you!!
I’m so glad it was helpful, Brent. Thank you for being part of the channel!

Great video. The video was very helpful.
I got so much out of this entire video, but even if I had only gotten the tip to be able to customize my trash button to turn off the rear screen or the flash button to switch from EVF to the back display... pure gold!
Thank you brother! Great tutorial.

Exactly what I e been looking for Thank you for your input.
Great pointers! Thank you!
Thanks man. Just got the M50, this was a huge help in getting set up with better video settings.
So glad I've been able to help Mike! Also, check out today's video about lenses: ruclips.net/video/2J4C_RDEg5Y/видео.html Thanks for being part of the channel!
Thank you. This was tremendously helpful for me. I'm learning video after 53 years in stills, and I sorely do need the cinematic look. I watched a Potato Jet video where he set a silly rig with $60,000 worth of advanced cine lenses on an M50 just for fun, and I was impressed - thus I'm grateful to you for showing us how it can be done without a silly budget. :)
I'm so glad this video was useful and hope it helps you grow as a creator. Thank you so much for supporting and being part of the channel!
Amazing explanation!
EXCELLENT and very helpful..you'd be a great teacher. If I might suggestion one thing for beginners as well - when I got my camera and started playing around, I couldn't figure out why my settings weren't matching what you were showing....and I FINALLY figured out my camera came delivered with the setting at PAL and not NTSC. Who knew?! For us real basic goofs out there, maybe add this to your Part 1 info.
Thanks for the great info.
That EVF trick saved my life. At first i thought my M50 was lagging and the screen shuts off and on by itself. I bought m50 mostly for making videos so this trick has definitely saved me a lot of hustle
כל הכבוד שגיא זה היה סרטון מאוד מועיל. תודה רבה
