Hands down lenses are the most important tool in creating images. Even expensive highres cameras, when paired with the wrong lens can deliver poor results, while an affordable camera paired with the right lens can produce amazing videos and photos. In this video, I share my top five Canon EF lenses and why I love them and why you should consider them. These selections are solely based on my experiences, commercial time with Canon cameras and the lesnes over two decades. Hopefully the video offers you some valuable insights into their adaptability and commercial viability when paired with various camera systems. Because, right now ALL of these lenses can be picked for a steal, on the used market.
I switched to RF lenses a few years ago but still occasionally purchase EF lenses. In fact I just bought an 85 1.4L and it's truly amazing. I think it's an underrated gem.
@@cinechimp you’re welcome! I probably should have used under appreciated or under the radar because it’s rated highly by most everyone who has used it. 😊
This was the first L lens i bought in early 2008. My copy is perfect and still takes great photos. It's an absolute steal these days! Highly recommended!

I think the 16-35 f 2.8’s sharpness and durability is worth the weight.
All these lenses breathe a lot for video though.
Well most lenses under 5k breathe a lot for video….
Thanks
No problem
These lenses are so cheap now when buying used! I got a 17-40 for less than $300 on KEH. They're even cheaper on Ebay!
