Thank you for watching! xx
Definitely want a video with the lens converters. 😁
I'll see if I can get my hands on it, I'd love to try it out too!
I love it when you show us Fujifilm content!
It’s not an F3.1 - you don’t apply crop to aperture. It’s gets light at f2 speeds and regardless of what the crop is you still get the bokeh of a 23mm full frame lens at f2. Stop applying crops to aperture that’s a myth started by photographer who use bokeh as a crutch.
The reason for that is because if the crop, you stand FARTHER AWAY at “23mm” than you would with a full frame 23mm, hence why an f2 bokeh looks more like an f3.1
I have one and love it for wedding and event candids. People are so relaxed in front of it because it doesn't look like a giant pro camera. love it. Great video.
That's actually such a clever idea!!
to be honest this is probably the first time that the video looks better than the pictures
Those Astia shots! Also LR has fujifilm color profiles that are pretty close.
Astia is the unsung hero of Fujifilm's films simulations. I'm always surprised nobody is talking about it.
@@jjstarrprod justiceforAstia! Then again I cant blame people getting enarmored by classic chrome and acros. Those two are amazing
@@SkyGW I can understand that. Though, for me, CC always looked like black & white... but in colors.
I mean ... why would you do that ?
@@jjstarrprod I think because it tries to simulate the legendary kodachrome. CC really shines in overcast days so at least the upcoming fall/winter season it's amazing. For summer astia and velvia are awesome
@@SkyGW true dat. I can understand the appeal of CC during fall or winter.
Btw, loving your avatar.
You are absolutely amazing! No one shows the potantial of a camera for portraits as good as you do, perfect mix between showing the shooting, the final results, raw versions, showing details of the metadata. Thank you so much for your great work! :)
Thank you so much!
Agreed. Highlighting the good and the bad in a kind manner
Your edited and raw photos are always so perfect, they make my heart skip a beat😍
Ahh thank you so much Ana!
I'd love to see a shoot with the telecoverter lens!
I'll see if I can borrow it soon to make a video!
@@juliatrotti yes please, with both wide and tele..
Same here
@@juliatrotti 9:15 "...stand out from..." the little flash with the TCL is great for this due to the leaf shutter high-speeds darkening the background in tandem with lift from the front. There's a great fashion promo from the X100F launch which did so to great effect. + Loved this video, and how you drew something out from the model.
I love classic negative, especially on scenes with red in them! Anyways great job as always.
Yeah same here, that what my favourite emulation! And thank you :)
Really excited for this one! Thank you! I just got my own a few weeks ago and love it!
My favorite carry around camera! I was so excited to see this video pop up. Thanks!
Wow, Than little camera is just amazing, with the TLC is just amazing for portraits, as always Julia you´re shinning everywhere.
Also, yes! Would love to see a video using the TCL with the X100V!
That camera is so amazing! The photos are so dang cute! I love the picnic style!
Wow what a cool camera. It's so compact and delivers many features. As always, great work! Looking forward to the next video. 😀
Thanks so much :D
Yes! Love everything about this - thanks for the video! I so appreciate that you update your presets - got the NY pack update and they look awesome. Also, since you're getting into Fuji, I would love to see what you do with the new 50mm F1! Cheers! :)
Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked it and also enjoyed the NY update!! Omg I just did a shoot with the 50mm f1.0 yesterday and I loooved it, will get working on the video really soon 😄
That bark at 11:09 felt right with the beat.
Hahaha I didn't even notice while I was editing I love that 😂
This shows the serious capabilities of this camera...what a great camera for EDC or vacation snaps! I want to try out Fujifilm one of these days, if I was packing light for a trip, this would be the perfect camera/lens setup!
Glad you liked it and I agree, I'm so tempted to get one!
I've had these with the wide and tele converters - the tele is pretty "big" but really cool. Both of them are amazing, I always regret selling this camera to update to an interchangeable lens and keep switching back.
OMG...just the kinda video i was looking for the whole day!!! Thanks julia 😊
Yay glad you liked it!
Great video, I own this camera and love it! I replaced my X-T3 and a set of lenses with just this and have not regretted the decision. It would be great to see you do a video with the teleconverter and with the wide as well. Subscribed!!
Pretty girl, iconic camera.
ive been crushing on this camera since it came out.
I know same, it's not only pretty but I really loved the images and using it too. I have the first x100 camera, I kinda want to replace it with this!
Quick question: why always ISO 640?
Beautiful model. Beautiful camera. Love the colors.
I love your style. The photos turned out so good.
Loads of love Julia ✨
Thank you so much!
The leaf shutter on the x100 is pure magic and separates this camera from the run of the mill mirrorless camera.
Apologies if this has been addressed, but just curious if there is a reason for using ISO 640 instead of base ISO (100ish) and a little bit slower shutter. Or maybe you were using one of the higher dynamic range settings? Beautiful shoot! Thank you for sharing
Hey Julia, It would be nice if you can share which picture mode you are using along with preset details that will help x100v user to decide what could be the best possibility with this camera rather than knowing it post production...
Nice work by you and Sarah. Outstanding location. Love the 📷.
Thanks so much!
The camera is beautiful, your shots are impressive, the color composition is very suitable for the composition, congratulations ❤️
This is one of my favorite videos on this camera! (I’m upgrading from the F soon) I love how you show how simple easy backgrounds can be great for photoshoots and also how well even a small camera like this can perform for portraits. I love using my TCL lens with the x100f and would love t see a video on using it for portrait shoots like this.
What do you think your X100F will sell for?
Nice video and camera, But just wondering why shoot at iso 640,when you can use a way lower shutter speed and get still get sharp photos with base iso?
I’d imagine that she was trying to get higher dynamic range for the SOOC JPEGs. The highest setting is only available at iso 640 and above.
@@BrackDynamite please could you explain
Every shot is golden ♥️♥️♥️♥️
I love to shoot weddings with the X100V. The guest doesn't notice me, when i'm standing next to them.
Yeah someone else mentioned that they like to shoot the unposed/mingling guest photos on this camera too which is such a good idea! Do you shoot the entire day on the 100V or just parts of it?
Now that I think about, that is a fantastic idea! I can imagine you get some really candid shots!? I must confess I am super curious, how is it to work with indoors and in darker surroundings?
My Main-Camera is a GFX50R with 63 and 110. I use it for the planned slower Parts of the Wedding like posed Portraits of groups.
With x100v i use iso 12800. But of course, a Full Frame or Medium Format has more Ressources. You can use flash also with the x100v (leaf shutter)
love this video!! ive been thinking of getting an X100V as well and ure the right person to showcase the camera off :D
Beautiful portraits as always. Sending you a lot of love.
Thank you so much 😀
Yess! I've been waiting for this video! I know product photography isn't your thing, but how do you think the X100V will perform with product photography?
Fuji has seriously raised their game with cameras.
Gorgeous model, beautiful pictures!
YES !! CAN we see a shoot with the teleconverter please! love love your channel!
The color grade of the video is much better and more pleasant than on the photographs.
Very pretty shots Julia,
loved it as always ")
Thank you!
WOW, this tiny boi is poppin RF lens quality prints
Ehhh idk about all that lol
LOL.....No
Ahahaha your comment made my day
Great photoshoot! And this camera is so nifty!
Oh X100 series my favorite~!!! Welcome to Fuji
These are great and your editing style really fits the Fuji look. Im surprised you dont shoot with Fuji cameras more often. I should have kept that 100V I had a few years back. They are going for crazy money now.
Just did a shoot with my X100v and X-T4 with a pair of Godox AD200s. Most fun I have ever had shooting. The X100 is ridiculously good for shoots and I was not expecting that. Would love to see a video with the conversion lenses because after that, I'm certainly interested in getting them.
Beautiful shots as always.
Always love that fuji astia look!!!
Thanks for the video. Why did you shooted all the photos at 640 ISO and not 200?
This is so cool that you are using the Fiji X100V! I bet you liked it more than your other camera, right? Of course you did! LOL! Please use the adapter for this one too. I have yet to see how it works and how it is installed. Like always Julia great images! Love learning and this helps out so much! Be safe and “Have a great light!”
Another one! Thanks for sharing Julia. Have a good one.
Julia ive been watching your videos for years now. Great work!!! Your discussion of the Bokeh is something I was seeking from watching many videos and looking at tons of samples of the x100v. I think you just saved me some time and money. I’ll stick with my Sony RX1rII and A7C with 1.4 lenses. BTW your traveling in colorado video is one of my all time favorite RUclips videos. I’m a pro shooter in chicago and spend much of my time in Telluride. Thank you for what you do!! Michael Neumann One World Productions.
Thank you and I'm glad I could help! Ahh that brings back some great memories from Colorado and Telluride, I would love to visit again. Such a beautiful place in the world!
@@juliatrottiYes I'm addicted the song you used in that Colorado video has since been one of my favorites for driving through those mountains. :)
dreaming so much about this camera
I recently got the X100V, and it's an amazing little camera. Wanted something small for traveling/ hiking/ when i never wanted to bring my DSLR's on trips where it's not photography focused. Defs wanna see you use those tele converters because idk if i want to get them myself.
Yeah I took this camera out with me on a little weekend trip where I didn't want to bring my mirrorless cameras and it was great! And done, I'll see if I can borrow it to make a video about it soon :)
Both Astia and Classic Negative were nice!
amazing results Julia.. beautiful
Waiting for the new video with the telecoverter! 😄🙏🙏
Thanks a lot Julia, I always enjoy your videos very much! And I'd definitely love to see a shoot with the teleconverter lens with the Fujifilm X100V.

Pair a xe4 with a leica 50mm summilux. 80mm equiv at f1.4!
Been waiting. YEMS. YEMS YEMSSS
I've got the x100F and the TCL converter. My favorite kit. The compact size and "tactile' controls make this camera really enjoyable to use but there are other cameras that offer the same. I wish you had covered the built in ND filter and leaf shutter. These features are what really makes this line of cameras stand out from the rest IMO. They offer a HUGE advantage when you shoot in bright daylight as I often do in the Tropics.
So classic look
I was waiting for this video, I really like the x100v and hope to get one real soon
I have this camera and had NO IDEA I could shoot RAW and later process the file using the Fuji film simulations. Thanks for the tip!
Ooh yay I'm glad I could help! Yeah I'm literally so indecisive so that feature is perfect for me haha
Awesome video
Nice to see a portrait shoot instead of street photography with this camera
I have the Fuji X-T3. I had no idea the 100V was so good. The natural skin tones are wonderful. Would be good to see the bokeh with the teleconverter. A great carry-everywhere camera with resolution far greater than a mobile phone so one can have good size prints made of the photos. I think I’ll hire one and see for myself. Thanks for the excellent video.
Nice video!
Sorry for asking this, why all photos were taken at ISO640, did you have a purpose for that or it was a mistake.
I noticed the shutter speed was too high and you could have better decisions than shooting at ISO640.
sorry again, I don't mean anything just want to know if there is any secret that I don't know yet to learn.
thanks, I really love your videos and your accent.
for dinamic range 400%
@@ikoy.21 a bit slower shutter speed that what she was using is better for dynamic range and cleaner image, I guess she didn't notice that she was shooting at 640 ISO for sure, we are human and we all do mistakes 😉
@@MumtazBahri ohh slower shutter speed make better photo? thankyou, i just found out about it.
@@ikoy.21 you are welcome!
Just to make it clear, If you have to choose between shutter speed or ISO to brighten your exposure, slower shutter is always better choice because high ISO will cause noise in ur images.
Note: you need to consider the subject moves and your hands shake when u decide the shutter speed because if the shutter speed was to low will cause blurry images.
There is a dynamic range setting on Fujifilm cameras. If you set it at 400% it automatically pushes the ISO to capture shadows better. The increased ISO means that the shutter will always be faster. Higher ISOs on modern sensors do not automatically mean noisier images.
I’ve been looking around for a video like this with the X100 series and I finally found it! Love to see you work with the original X100 too😁😁
Compact camera for nice photos.Pretty one
Please show a photoshoot with the converter! Love love love your content... I always watch you before buying a camera and lenses ❤️⭐️⭐️
"Oh that's a nice tree" 🖐️ nice one Julia, great results 👍
Thank you also I'm always checking out the trees 😂
@@juliatrotti trees are good 👍
Remember yesterday you told me you will upload a video today ...
I love the look of this camera😍
Can you please make a video on fuji xt4 vs a7iii . please
It's such a nice looking camera! And ooh that would be an interesting comparison!
it is because of Astia? or just her beautiful skin? The not edited photos are so gorgeous! And yes please do a video with the lens converters (TLC if you can)
at 1 nov. of this year I bought a Fuji (X-T3), don`t think I made a misstake ;), thank you for this movie! And someday I hope to take pictures dat does like yours for a bit!!
You are my favorite portrait photoghrapher :) You and Manny Ortiz :D
When is your video of Samyang 35mm f1.4 coming?
Great video. Thank you Julia.
Do you have any videos with these cameras where you use the simulations? Would love that! So easy for instgram ect.
Yes please do a video with the lens converters (TLC PLS)
So excited for the video with the Sony Samyang lenses!
Saaame! I'm working on the video today so I will have it up really soon 😄
@@juliatrotti awesome! 😁
Hi Julia
I have the Sony a7 iii with some lenses and love this system.
But sometimes i wished i had a smaller and more compact camera that i can take it with me like every day.
And was thinking about sony zv-e10 or the Fujifilm x100v
Which one would you recommend?
I'm not a professional, but love to take photos.
unedited version is much better than edited.
Absolutely, was going to say the same thing
Love the way you shoot
Thank you!
Great review with a wonderful shoot and techniques. Many other pros agree with you also taking it along for their always-on-them, walk-around travel camera. I'm seriously considering one, but would like your impressions of and results using the teleconverter lens adapters.
Would love to see you try out the teleconverter lens :)
The most important feature of the x100v is his leaf shutter whith Hss. Maybe for the next video Julia.
The leaf shutter mean you don’t need hss anymore as you can sync at any speed...
I love your eyes so much.
multiplying the aperture by the crop factor isn't necessary........very misleading.
im your a little fan,U look so cute,
♥️love from India🇮🇳
🤘🏻
Yes,. we should not ignore the person behind the camera. ❣️
another great video, Julia!
Thank you!
Julia Trotti ...and if you have the two conversion lenses, I’d love to hear your thoughts on them, and the results you get out of them. It’s a compelling little apsc package. Cheers!
I love it this content 🥰
Awesome!
amazing. Wonder about the quality of the X100V in combination with the WCL II? any experiences?
I love this camera and shoot Fuji but I do feel that the smaller sensor/slower lens combo doesn’t suit itself to Julia’s style so well here. The ‘in the branches’ shots just don’t have much separation. This camera can shoot really nice portraits and these are definitely nice but I think they would look better with a background that was further away to get some more separation.
Do you have any plans of doing a review of the Fujifilm 50mm F1.0 lens? Very curious what you could do with that monster.
What you didn't tell in the review is that, even though it's a crop 24 MPix sensor, the files are absolutely massive (on average around 55 MB per picture in RAW). This little set-up is sure full of surprises. Have you tried the black and white simulations, just for fun?
Guillaume Bouqueau You need to shoot in compressed RAW. Much smaller files.
When is the X100VI coming out?
Nice works.
