Moment I think it’s going to be a beast of a street camera. The X100 series have an incredible reputation for being excellent street cameras and I know the X100V won’t disappoint! I had the X100F but cannot wait time try the X100V soon!
@@stephenwen overheating issues has been reported when they used the video mode for long period of time. It’s not a dealbreaker, this is normal on almost every camera. Who is gonna use the x100v for extensive use of video anyways?
3:41 i’m a photographer on the streets who doesn’t photograph people (hence, not a street photographer in my eyes lol) but i really enjoy what the person adds to the frame! makes me want to open up to ways of feeling okay (re: consent things etc.) with photographing strangers.
I've owned every iteration of the X100 series. Each time I tell myself I don't need to upgrade to the new model when it's introduced, but then I do it anyway. Still, most of the time, it's been true: I didn't "need" to upgrade, I just wanted to. This is different. The improvements over the X100F are huge. The articulating screen, touch screen, and significantly improved lens quality (over what was already an excellent lens) are more than reason enough to upgrade. The first two improvements alone make this the imperative camera for street photography (apart from spending $5K for a Leica Q2, for $10K for a Leica M10 and lens). Build quality is fantastic. I ever-so-slightly miss the joystick from the X100F, but the tradeoff of getting a touch screen more than makes up for it. Buy it. As a side note, I shoot with Canon cameras for everything other than street photography (EOS R, 90D and 80D, lots of lenses). With my X100V, I generally shoot in B&W using the ACROS film simulation; for the occasional color shots I use the Velvia mode (in the film days I shot Kodachrome and Ektachrome for years before Velvia was introduced, but Velvia rules - I was taking pictures back when people used to argue about Kodachrome over Agfa). As a second side note, Taylor is a very cool reviewer, lol.
Question: the filmic look of these pictures, is it a result of the film emulations on the jpegs or is it your own edits for the raw files? Asking for a friend who might be too lazy to edit heavily.
Those are camera's own film emulations. They're also saved in RAWs btw, though you need to set an option in Lightroom for it to recognise your camera's colour profile. This may be why she said the emulations are only visible in JPEGs. To configure Lightroom, go to Preferences -> Photo Import Options -> RAW Default, and set it to "Camera Settings" (by default, it's set to "Adobe Default"). This way all RAWs you import to Lightroom will use your camera's colour profile and the film emulations will be visible (and editable too).
Loved the colour grading in this. Also, great camera review. Getting an X100V for a sort of EDC/Street camera. I've got a lot of street stuff to learn from Taylor!
Such a good video! Taylor has skills, personality, energy and is not hard to look at. More importantly, she combines real life use in framing and positioning with enough of the specs and capabilities of the camera that we want without any of the excruciating details of some of these reviews. Loved this
It is interestting and instructive to see/watch certain topics evolve on youtube. I appreeciate this format because it's not too technical, shot on the street in motion w/o trying to be overly perfect. Here's a consideration I shared with another excellent photographer: Host a street photography class (on the street) w/ 2--4 people for experiential learning on the street. Students could gain real street photography experience without the intimidation & fear of being a newby out there. Of course, spend a short-time in ground school first (smile). Also, some areas in the U.S. are more friendly/laid-back regarding street photography than others. Stay safe. Thanks!
I just realized that street photographers must dare to take pictures in any condition and take photos of people in close proximity. Thanks for the knowledge!
One of the better reviews I've seen on the X100V. A great peek into a street photographer's mindset, and some really neat photos! Most photos from reviews are meh, but this is an exception.
Waiting to buy one of these cameras because it’s out of stock everywhere. Since I got sick with covid and have long term complications I haven’t been shoot anymore as the equipment I have is so heavy and my body is weak. Can’t wait to get this

Great video, loved it! It would have been a lot cooler if you would’ve just put the camera settings per shot included as well. So like the minute 12’ and on, what camera settings was used for those pictures? Including the UPS driver with boxes.
I own the X100 T and the previous X100, amazing little cameras !!! My Nikons got jealous when they realized I was taking more pictures with my Fuji's than with them....🤣...Thanks for the very interesting video....BTW...you are a beautiful model !!!!!
I like this sweet and simple no extra words I couldn't understand and I like the photos to see how the camera take pictures. I'm a new photographer have no clue which brand to get. I've always been a Sonny person for anything electronic but I'm trying to see what would be best and this point I'm like it's so many cameras everyone saying each camera is wonderful but it just hard to take all the information in and figure which one. If I'm not a great editor I would like a camera that photos that don't need to much work because editing with be a whole another skill I will have to learn
I got my X100V a few months ago. It's my first experience with a decent camera and photography in general. So far, so good. I have one of your FUJIFILM 6L slings on the way to go with it.
I really enjoyed this! The grading on the video is super pleasing and the photos all looked excellent! I might have to pick one of these up myself. Great work!
She is Vivian Maier 2.0 with that tilt screen/viewfinder :) Amazing review guys, best on the net! Love the colors in the video and the handheld footage too.

Fujifilm X100V vs Ricoh GRIII?
has taylor done a review on gr iii if she loves being discrete?
Beautiful camera demonstrated by a beautiful woman.
Now that's how a camera review is done. Talk while showing real life samples. Cheers!
I got my X100v two days ago, and it's been around my neck ever since. It's made me fall in love with photography again.
Amazing news!! Love to hear that.
The X100 tends to do that to people. It completely changed the way I take photos. Love it.
Any overheating issue?

Taylor, a woman with great charisma and a photographer who knows her craft 👍

They’re so enthusiastic. I love it.
Im so in love with Taylor
As a long time pro who’s spent a fortune on digital cameras I am blown away by what a grand can do to enable your vision. I’m Fuji addicted!
Digital Rev vibes. Moment, we need more of this style videos. Please
Done and done. This is one of our favorite video formats!!!
Yes we need more video content that looks like it was recorded by someone having a seizure.
I want a lot, A LOT more Street Photography videos with Taylor! Please make that happen...
Yep, great personality and presentation skills. Cool.
This might help, its her channel @graincheck
This video is BIG TIME! Killer job Moment Gang.
Taylor's pleasant personality made me click the red button. :)
What film simulation were you using? Are these shots straight out of camera or were they edited? Thanks
@moment!
I was about to ask exactly the same question! Love the colors and mood of these photos!

Great video, and absolutely loved the shots she got
Love that idea of using the flip screen to be more inconspicuous! I have a Canon M6 ii coming for similar features, but may need to try the x100v
I went from the M6II to the Full Frame R6. I loved my years with the M6 but missed the form factor so I got the x100v as my secondary body.
