    Booray, I love the way you explained how you setup auto ISO using the 100v. I also watched the full ISO video using the F version. I've always liked using auto ISO and on the 100 series, it even makes more sense. You just want to take pictures! I can say that in the past I've struggled at times with auto ISO, and the reason, a lot of people want to limit noise so they set the high limits to a lower number, maybe something like 1600. Well in theory this sounds great, but the problem is the camera always tries to get the correct exposure and if it has to it will go below your lowest set shutter speed setting. This is why your setting of 12,600 is so important and I think it's really the key to using auto ISO. Thanks for all the work on the 100 series camera.

    Booray or other readers - Can anyone advise on if it's possible to have the front or rear control wheels changed to adjust my aperture settings?
    Also, I was getting tripped up repeatedly by the AF mode on the rear LCD constantly shifting to all sorts of weird settings. In Ken Rockwell's "Users Guide for the Fuji X100V" (on his website, not his RUclips channel) he has a really helpful video imbedded in the Users Guide that shows how to make the changes in the LCD's behavior. I found it super helpful.

    Pros know that any adjustment in raw is more effective and aesthetically pleasing than that done in JPeg. The X100V rewards Jpeg shooters by offering film simulation options, but shooting raw will always offer the potential for a better finished product. Of course, if you are using the X100V for a break from the usual DSLR shooting and processing drudgery, than shooting in Jpeg is probably the best choice.

And just before I went to clunk down $2,000 to get the XPro-3, the XT-4 came out, that stopped me on my track, now I'm not sure if I still want to get the Pro-3, or I will just go for the XT-4. However, when I put my aperature to f2, shutter speed on A, and iso on A, in darker situations, the shutter speed will still drop lower than the 1/250 that I set as the minimum. 1 thing to do is go and return it and get X-t30, is much better in many ways, smaller, more compact, perfect for traveling and street photography has much better grip, bigger viewfinder, more practical because u can change lenses, not fixed lens! Yes it's not weather sealed but got same sensor and processor as 100v. X-t30 is cheaper even if you add two f2 prime lens to the price.

    • @BoorayPerry
      @BoorayPerry  3 года назад +2

      I did a lot of research before I upgraded to the x100v including using the xt30 for a week. It's a fine camera and I actually own one I use it as a backup for my professional gear. I made a video here on my channel comparing the two. Ultimately I decided to stay with the x100v because of quirky features like the leaf shutter and the built-in neutral density filter and just the joy of using the camera. 😁

    • @Ali.lensman
      @Ali.lensman 3 года назад

      @@BoorayPerry very wise, really great camera no doubt, I am talking price wise. I recently had a test drive for majority of fuji cameras, this camera is ridiculously overpriced for features no body going to use everyday, the nd filter and leaf shutter awesomeness. The ergo and flexibility of this X100 cameras is really disappointing. BTW thanks for ur reply and the video 😊

    • @BoorayPerry
      @BoorayPerry  3 года назад +1

      @@Ali.lensman I don't think it is overpriced. An xt-30 with a 23mm f2 lens to match is only $70 cheaper than the X100V. With that you get interchangeable lenses, which is huge, but you lose the leaf shutter which greatly affects flash and the built in ND filter. More importantly, you lose style and that's something that is very important to owners of the x100V.
      The best comparison I can make is that the Ford Flex SUV with an eco-boost engine is as fast as a Dodge Challenger... but the Dodge Challenger is more fun to drive. :)
      As I said in one of my videos, if I were only going to own one camera between those two it would be the XT30 for it's versatility. But if I want a second camera for weekend fun? It's the X100V :)

    • @Ali.lensman
      @Ali.lensman 3 года назад

      @@BoorayPerry I agree, absolute fun 😁 incredible little piece of machine. Here in Moscow, market is different, I can get one x-t30 and two f2 primes or Nikon Z5 with kit for the price of 100v! Of course I'll get the 100v if I can afford it and keep it for specific use, but for now I focus on necessity and spending wisely 😉

    OK so I have ordered a FUJI X-100V and after 4 hours with it I put it right back in the box and ship it where it came from . How can anyone even compare a piece a crap to the LEICA legendary and its legacy . the fuji flash don't work unless other features are off when I need them to be on the focus ring to close to the aperture and the quality of it just not even close to Leica and the menu and layout of buttons really awkward and does not even come a battery charger . Sorry fuji fans but this camera just don't cut it and if anyone thinks it's a professional camera I don't know what professionalism is. The Sony DSC-RX100 VII take amazing stunning photos way better the fuji so my cameras are Leica Q3 , Hasselblad XD2 100 and for my everyday the Sony DCS RX100

    No don't assume that we know what to do just because you know what to do. I need to know how to turn it on, set the date/time/location and link it to my cellphone. You've just skipped those bits. Bloody hell, what am I meant to do?

    Dude you keep saying there are 7 things you do to your camera. You repeat this over and over and over and over. Just say them. Don't spend time saying you are going to say them. EDIT YOUR VIDEOS !!! MY GOD !!!!

      Haha, my thoughts exactly, but you beat me to it. He actually says it seven times before he does the seven things to his camera, imagine if he did 30 things to his camera! This video could be done in less than a minute with editing. At least there wasn’t any dreadful background music.
