Soon there will be comments mentioning how many comments they see about comments that are about comments, thus tearing a hole in the fabric of space/time that will swallow the Universe.
I know Vic has rock influences and he loves rage against the machine and shit, I just wish whenever he wanted to make a singing rock song he'd make an angry ratm type rock song instead. I feel like he would pull it off a lot better
Fuckin with Vic since the EP days and Kids These Days. Guy was the FIRST new wave Chi-town rapper to gain clout. This project was underwhelming BUT passionate, in depth and FINALLY carved his niche as an artist (always seemed like he struggled with identity throughout his career). Can't wait for the next one!!
The rapper he aimed at was Lil Yatchy. The only reason he wanted to keep the diss in was bc it was a fire bar. Jay advised him tovremove it bc it was unnecessary. He said that in an interview.
Some of the beats on this album sounded mad dated. Gorgeous sounded like something that would have been on L.A.S.E.R.S. and Rolling like a Stoner was boo boo. The bonus track Rage sounded like an Imagine Dragons song but the song with Ty Dolla Sign was really good.
no idea if y'all are working on it or not, but i really wanna hear dehh's thoughts on amine's "good for you" album! he's definitely one of the more interesting rappers in the xxl 2017 class! much love
Needed more OMG type tracks but I really enjoyed it. Vic is severely underrated when it comes to pure rapping but I think he sold himself waaaaaaay too short on the album with lyricality. Issa 8/10 for me but I'm a stan so I'm sort of biased. Definitely agree with myke about the devoid feeling of aggressiveness on the album. That's definitely Vic's strong suit.
From what I remember, Wings, Heaven on Earth, Down for some ignorance and OMG were really good to dope as fuck. I remember a bunch of mid 2000s, radio rock style choruses which threw my for a loop
Ace hood - Trust the Process 🙏 Dead end hip hop y'all gotta show Ace some love . Y'all never reviewed none of his albums and he came back hard as hell independent
Vic hasn't personally clicked with me since Kids These Days. and that's in and out of the studio. I understand why folks like the stuff he does now. but idk. but I agree with Myke. I'm not gonna trash him completely, because he's not "trash" it's just not what I look for sonically. and when it fits what i like sonically, it's not what i want lyrically. ya feel me?
Album is decent to good but it lacks cohesion - definitely not an autobiography. Agree with DEHH/Myke that there are some forced tracks. It has some singles that I like, but *Vic did not find a sound or concept to carry the album,* and I aint replaying the project much because of it.
Taylor Layton this is like a "1 hit" album that ppl are bumbing now and after a couple months or even weeks they all forget about the existence of this album lol
Man I respect the hell outta yall for not shittin on this even though you guys dont like it. I personally love it and really think this is a great body of work, but i understand why yall dont like it. I also think the singing is dope
The rapper he had a bar that Jay wanted him to remove was about Lil Yatchy, Vic has multiple times called out Yatchy for not being good and being cancer to the rap genre. Jay didn't think he should be putting down another rapper in his debut.
Rollin Like A Stoner didn't fit because it wasn't made for the album. It was on The Manuscript first. Not sure why he chose to include it on the album. It was out of place for sure but dope on its own.
I agree with y'all this album was a let down after the EP. The content was there but the musicality lacked. Vic still has to grow as a musician but he has a lot to say which is positive. He will get better.
for me it depends on how much i like the artist. Like if its someone i dont listen to heavy and you guys say you dont like it then i wont mess with it but if its someone i listen too i'll probably listen regardless
R.I.P souncloud 1234567890 Banger, he was so early on that Emo Trap drip. I’ve loved that track since it was debuted as a live version like a year before the album dropped.
The line that Vic was told to take off was about Lil Yatchy and not Chance lol. Instead of the "fuck Bill O' Reilly" line in OMG, he was initially gonna say "what the fuck is a Lil Yatchy". There is performance footage of him saying this line and he mentions this in his recent Breakfast Club interview.
Could you guys please review 'CHIP - LEAGUE OF MY OWN 2'.. it's Chip's new album; he's a UK emcee that used to be signed to Hustle Gang with T.I; very interested in getting your opinion on it & him as an artist.. keep it the great content btw :)
its too many good cops in media trying to be friend the talent. we need more bad cops who hold the artist to task on projects, and gives a good, tough but fair review of the work. Good artist may not like what you say, but they will respect you in the end for it, because you are fair.
idk how people think this was wack. down for some ignorance, heaven on earth, gorgeous, say i didn't, homewrecker, wing, the fire next time, we could be free. all fire. edit: there are some corny lines littered throughout like the sylvester one and how kurt cobain would be proud of him, but overall i think this is quality music. half the people that don't like this are the same people asking for a concious rapper making good music. then they get it and toss it aside.
The message was great on the album but it just sounds average to fucking corny at times. The only track I liked was the first one. I hope he can deliver more interesting beats and better hooks cause the lyrics are there it's just most tracks sound ehh
Disappointed as well. The There is a lot going on tape was so good. I thought I would get a "16 Shots"/"Coccoa Butter Kissess" type Vic. Understood the album but I thought it wasn't him, he didn't seem comfortable on this.
Hey could you guys review the Space EP he's english and he's not that great BUT it'd be nice to hear from you hip hop heads Loving the content and take your time with the other videos you're working on :)
the rapper he was dissing was lil yachty not chance. there was two diss lines on omg which came out but he took them out. he replaced it with the line saying fuck bill o riley. it originally was something like "sitting on a yacht, what the fucks a lil yachty". he took it out because he doesn't even know yachty and jay felt it was just unnecessary. just wanted to make it clear it was definitely not chance.
Dead End Hip Hop Also can you guys do a Classic Album Review on Eminem's first album "The Slim Shady LP", and you guys should also do a review on Dave East's new " Paranoia EP".
I honestly haven't liked Vic sense Down on My Luck. He's one of those rappers where people confuse content with lyricism. He raps about important things so people put him in a category he shouldn't be in because his pen isn't that great. I do appreciate him as a person though.
I like the album but I just prefer the hard-core stuff like "Omg " and stuff like his There's alot going on Ep. But I didn't have too much a problem with this album
Been waiting on this cause I thought this album was GOD AWFUL. I understand his idolization of Kanye but he is trying way to hard to be like him. The content wasn't bad but the music was. Just my opinion.
Christopher Adams I heard Kanye more on the Ep with the beat selection and the way he was rapping. Here he sounded more like Jay mixed with that Rock and Roll shit.
The Tunnel's End by Marlon Craft he's a rapper out of New York city he has a very 90s vintage sound he's a spitter and a great lyricist he top #2 on Itunes behind Jay-Z's 4:44 album with no deal or no sign this project might be one of the best albums this year that isn't widely talked I honestly think you guys should check it pit it's really good.
Very disappointing. "Concious" lyrics were corny and not deep. Lyrics in general were...corny. Reminded me of the way I felt after listening to Logic's 'Everybody' album.
I think Vic, much like Logic, is trying to force "consciousness" into his music. They both try to tackle topics at a broad angle. They both lack dept and personality in their lyrics.
I think my expectations are what made this album not that good for me. I was expecting something that was undeniably amazing and got an album full of skips. I went in fully hoping to love it but the singing combined with some uber corny lyrics really turned me away. I'll probably end up listening to a version of it with the bad songs taken out, but it's hard to even go through again.
He Dissed Chance on the “Memories on 47th St” Song and it was mad disrespectful because the dude that died was BOTH their big homies so him saying, in Bro voice, that Chance is phony was wild.
I didn't like the album but liked Vic as a person. It's just a little weird hearing the guys give a whole apology after they don't like something. You shouldn't have to apologize if your objectively reviewing something.
"...his grandma passing away, dope..." - Beezy430
Jared ___________ I thought that was funny too lol smh
I see more comments saying they waiting for "fuck Vic Mensa" comments than actual "fuck Vic Mensa" comments.
SSJ Chicano facts LOL
Soon there will be comments mentioning how many comments they see about comments that are about comments, thus tearing a hole in the fabric of space/time that will swallow the Universe.
alot are just calling it trash, and those are the same people that say fuck vic
SSJ Chicano they're deleting all the fuck Vic mensa comments either way I don't care
Vick Mensa is above average but he fucking acts like a god. He acts like he fucking saved the culture.
Brown Boi how?
hes a total douche
Keyser Soeze u trolling
Keyser Soeze lil uzi is trash wym
Brown Boi You must be a DGay Akademiks stan
I know Vic has rock influences and he loves rage against the machine and shit, I just wish whenever he wanted to make a singing rock song he'd make an angry ratm type rock song instead. I feel like he would pull it off a lot better
Wow. You're right. Now I wish he did that
Fuckin with Vic since the EP days and Kids These Days. Guy was the FIRST new wave Chi-town rapper to gain clout. This project was underwhelming BUT passionate, in depth and FINALLY carved his niche as an artist (always seemed like he struggled with identity throughout his career). Can't wait for the next one!!
There has been a serious run of albums that "aren't for me, but I like what you're doing". Especially from Myke.
Y'all tripping Rolling Like a Stoner one of my favorite songs on the album
I'm happy that DEHH talks about the music rather they like it or not, they don't focus it on the numbers like Dj AK
never apologize for your constructive, honest, critiques, its your job, thats why we watch.
Listened to the Runaway Jukebox podcast and already knew Myke hated it lol
Cole le yup
I saw Vic on wild n out and he was a one man wrecking crew! Ever good episode.
The rapper he aimed at was Lil Yatchy. The only reason he wanted to keep the diss in was bc it was a fire bar. Jay advised him tovremove it bc it was unnecessary. He said that in an interview.
The shots were thrown at lil yatchty that Jay made him take off. It was on OMG
Feefo the type to apologize to a girl for her cheating on him
Some of the beats on this album sounded mad dated. Gorgeous sounded like something that would have been on L.A.S.E.R.S. and Rolling like a Stoner was boo boo. The bonus track Rage sounded like an Imagine Dragons song but the song with Ty Dolla Sign was really good.

lol coffee and cigarettes is not that bad of a song, i actually like it a lot. homewrecker as well
Ace hood - Trust the Process 🙏 Dead end hip hop y'all gotta show Ace some love . Y'all never reviewed none of his albums and he came back hard as hell independent

2:01 myke's face tho lol
Man I respect the hell outta yall for not shittin on this even though you guys dont like it. I personally love it and really think this is a great body of work, but i understand why yall dont like it. I also think the singing is dope

Am I the only one who absolutely loved rolling like a stoner.... shit was dope
Rollin Like A Stoner didn't fit because it wasn't made for the album. It was on The Manuscript first. Not sure why he chose to include it on the album. It was out of place for sure but dope on its own.

Most underrated album of the year
It went triple cardboard lmfao. I'm honestly convinced he snapped on Akademiks for publicity to get them album sales lmao
Empire yall care more about the album sales then the artistry
Gift ofGod artistry was trash too
Dead End Hip Hop You guys should really do a classic album review on Outkast's album "ATLiens" that would be really amazing to see.
I actually like rolling like a stoner
R.I.P souncloud 1234567890 Banger, he was so early on that Emo Trap drip. I’ve loved that track since it was debuted as a live version like a year before the album dropped.
Am I the only one that thinks they should start reviewing outside again? Those were so dope!!
One of the if not best album of this year thus far
The line that Vic was told to take off was about Lil Yatchy and not Chance lol. Instead of the "fuck Bill O' Reilly" line in OMG, he was initially gonna say "what the fuck is a Lil Yatchy". There is performance footage of him saying this line and he mentions this in his recent Breakfast Club interview.
Definitely one of the best 5 albums of 2017... so dope.
Chance and Vic just performed at lollapalooza together
I would love to join you guys for a review
It was a solid album, but could've been a lot better I expected a lot more.
Could you guys please review 'CHIP - LEAGUE OF MY OWN 2'.. it's Chip's new album; he's a UK emcee that used to be signed to Hustle Gang with T.I; very interested in getting your opinion on it & him as an artist.. keep it the great content btw :)
Black Ken review when?
David Raymond That would be great
David Raymond yes but we gotta give Myke some liquor so he can go off again lol
David Raymond Myke doesn't wanna get cursed
Another war between Myke and Ken since the 'i'm gay' album review
I really believe this guy is the future. This album made me a fan.
I think vic did great 👍🏾 Vick for the W
its too many good cops in media trying to be friend the talent. we need more bad cops who hold the artist to task on projects, and gives a good, tough but fair review of the work. Good artist may not like what you say, but they will respect you in the end for it, because you are fair.
If vic trimmed this down could have been a dope ass EP
The opening track to this album was fuego A few rocky points on everything else though but some really high points too.
A Milo review would be great. I'm sure Myke will at least do a solo review.
Alex VonBerg great album
I can't wait to see what Beezy gonna say on the production on Paranoia by Dave East. That EP was fucking good
idk how people think this was wack. down for some ignorance, heaven on earth, gorgeous, say i didn't, homewrecker, wing, the fire next time, we could be free. all fire.
edit: there are some corny lines littered throughout like the sylvester one and how kurt cobain would be proud of him, but overall i think this is quality music. half the people that don't like this are the same people asking for a concious rapper making good music. then they get it and toss it aside.
Vic actually killed it twice in wild n out
I feel like i am the only one who loves this album
BEST SONGS: OMG, and Wings
WORST: Rollin like a Stoner
Good album really well put together... i agree on this one with DEHH
The message was great on the album but it just sounds average to fucking corny at times. The only track I liked was the first one. I hope he can deliver more interesting beats and better hooks cause the lyrics are there it's just most tracks sound ehh
Enjoyed the album but I can see why people didn't like it
Shouts to those who already heard mykes opinion on runaway Jukebox last week
Albums was pretty good. Definitely surprised by this
Yall need to review nyck @ knight
William Howard true
This my favorite album of 2017 hands down.

Curious to hear y'all views on Aminé's 'Good For You' album.
It's a pretty good album. I think There's Alot Going On EP is better, but I would say it's a solid debut studio album.
We all need a review of black ken by lil B
Dead End Hip Hop Also can you guys do a Classic Album Review on Eminem's first album "The Slim Shady LP", and you guys should also do a review on Dave East's new " Paranoia EP".
I honestly haven't liked Vic sense Down on My Luck. He's one of those rappers where people confuse content with lyricism. He raps about important things so people put him in a category he shouldn't be in because his pen isn't that great. I do appreciate him as a person though.
Lyrics were ok, the production and singing was absolute trash. And I loved Innanettape. I don't know what happened.
Dann Vixm the production was trash? Homewrecker, OMG, Didn't i
Same here man...he was on some Drake type of shit
Vic has been all over the place. Artist need to stick to one path and quit trying to be what they think people want them to be and be them.
For real
Love this album
Hey listen to Vic HiiiPower freestyle if you don't like the project
Project could've been better, still a huge fan of Vic tho
Takyon I hope that's a joke
I get it's the cool thing to hate on J.Cole but that beat he did for Kendrick was nice
bruh I just got my dehh shirt in the mail straight up smell like sour cream onions
ACE HOOD - TRUST THE PROCESS mixtape
I think everybody would be surprised with the immense quality of this one.
Do let this distract you from the fact that kyrie just got traded
I like the album but I just prefer the hard-core stuff like "Omg " and stuff like his There's alot going on Ep. But I didn't have too much a problem with this album
I thought it was a step back for Vic. I liked There's A Lot Going On more. He was more woke, and there was better pop sensibility.
Ryan Calcaterra that EP is where I became a Vic fan. I like this album, just not as much as There's A Lot Going On.
Brian Markley I like it too, especially Heaven on Earth and Rage. Too much filler though.
Noslen D'great You know what I mean, he was more conscious on There's A Lot Going On
The line was about Lil Yachty on OMG, instead of the Bill O'Reily bar. He said it on the Breakfast Club.
What camera do you guys use?
Vics one of the best technical rappers in the mainstream rn and he releases an album thats 3/4ths pop. it was disappointing.
Review Russ album so i can laugh
i just wanna laugh at Myke when he review it lol
Did you guys notice Myke doesn't have eyebrows
He wasn't gonna diss Chance, on OMG the "Fuck Bill O Reily" line was initially "What the fuck is a Lil Yachty"
Been waiting on this cause I thought this album was GOD AWFUL. I understand his idolization of Kanye but he is trying way to hard to be like him. The content wasn't bad but the music was. Just my opinion.

Mike: to all the people that watch reviews and be like oh they dont like it im not listening to it!
I deadass watched to know if its good.
Please check out Dave East Album Paranoia A True Story and Ace Hood Trust The Process really good albums.
Very disappointing. "Concious" lyrics were corny and not deep. Lyrics in general were...corny. Reminded me of the way I felt after listening to Logic's 'Everybody' album.
WhoaNellyJake imo, wings and Heaven on Earth>anything on Everybody
Takyon Woah hows meek corny
WhoaNellyJake Exactly but Logics corniness is worse b/c he also throws in corny ad libs
I think Vic, much like Logic, is trying to force "consciousness" into his music. They both try to tackle topics at a broad angle. They both lack dept and personality in their lyrics.
Takyon lol u forgot about wale and hospin the most corny dudes in hiphop now
This was a huge step down from him. vic is falling behind

Please review Amine's debut album it's actually really good.
I think the line that was deleted was " Fuck Lil Yachty" but changed it to Bill O'rielly
It was a line towards lil yachty, he talks about it on sway in the morning
I loved coffee and cigarettes
Yo ! Bad Advice Ken is hilarious though LOL!!!!!!
When is the Dave East Paranoia review comin out?
Wings
That track💯
My dude said "I felt the weird energy in the room" :-D
12:53 - Jay made Vic remove a line that dissed Lil Yachty, not Chance
