I met Billy a few years back in a lounge at a airport , flight was delayed when waiting we heard a acustic guitar playing and started singing this song really really nice of him , kids all around him and i got to talk with for a few mins , solid guy and a great memory thanks Billy

His girlfriend Perri Lister is the female voice singing in French. She was also the bride in the White Wedding video.

With yourself! That’s not to say you can’t dance with someone else, but the song specifically does not require it.
"Flesh for Fantasy" is good too.
The backup singers are singing "Les Yeux sans visage" which is "Eyes Without a Face" in French. The song was inspired by a 1960's French horror movie of the same name.

This, and Dancing With Myself are my two favorite songs of his. I could hear them a thousand times, and still enjoy them.
Memories...Around 1980ish my brother and I were going to see the band RUSH at the "Forum" in Los Angeles. We had taken a rather large dose of LSD and parked behind a gas station a block away from the venue...This song came on as we were coming on...at the bridge...I snapped out of it just long enough to make it to the show...Thanks you Billy Idol.
Flesh for Fantasy is another good one...
One of the most unapologetic rockers of all time! And one of the best at it!!! Everyone out there that only know the radio hits...look up the song Blue Highway from his album Rebel Yell.
"Flesh for Fantasy" is good. Somewhere in between this one and Rebel Yell. Same with "White Wedding". One of his most well known.

Great song. Never knew the female back up singers were singing in French, I just figured I couldn’t understand the lyrics 😂. Everyone loves a good guitar solo, and this is no exception, but the bass, even though it’s a fairly simple bass line through most of the song, is the backbone to the song. Thanks for this. Brings back good memories 😎

Billy Idol has stated that the title (and the background lyric) are from the french film "Les Yeux sans visage" (1960)
Before starting to sing as Billy Idol he had a punk group called Generation X where he already sang Dancing with Myself, which he later included in his album as Billy, in case you are curious about what he sang when he was younger

"n his memoir, Dancing with Myself, Idol explained he had always been fascinated with the titles of horror films, including the 1960 French film Les Yeux sans visage (Eyes Without a Face). The movie concerns a plastic surgeon who vowed to restore the face of his daughter who had been disfigured in a car accident, and this quest led him to murder victims and graft their facial features onto his daughter in an attempt to restore her beauty. By the end, all that remained of her original face was her eyes, thus making her "eyes without a face". Idol saw some parallel between the movie and the moral decay he experienced living in New York in the 1980s.[7] He said,
I started to use "Eyes Without a Face" as a possible title/lyric/chorus for the song. I began to write words that, in some disguised form, spoke about my life in New York and a relationship gone wrong, on the edge of disintegrating into madness. Perhaps I was reflecting on my own touring infidelities. In a way, those can leave you feeling soulless, especially if you're already in a relationship that you value but are degrading by looking elsewhere for additional sexual kicks."
