As someone who really likes the heavier sub-genre's of metal, discovering this is like taking a break and going for a walk at the local park. This is just so perfect, it's quirky, its got some heavy riffs and is just not something that's been overly done before and I love it.
There's just one band that sounds like TesseracT
TesseracT.
True freaking story!
*****
nah, skyharbor is different.. they had dan for a while but still had a much different sound.
Devilish Chap I think tesseract is really special due to their minimalism. I think sky harbor and bands like it are much more complex, which is good, but I think tesseract just knows how to write a simple, excellent song, even though their stuff is progressive. For example, the structure of this song is just two different motifs played one after another two times. And it's FUGGIN POWERFUL. Anyway, there's my opinion you didn't ask for! Cheers!
.. and Skyharbor in a kind of way !
maybe Uneven Structure in the soft parts (they're like Meshuggah + Tesseract)
Absolutely stunning visuals, and definitely a lot clearer concept compared to Singularity
real music
A brilliant music is like a fine wine, gets better with time. 🥹
tesseract and sci fi is the best combination ever!!
the snare on this album is amazing
Is there something I should know
Of the colors that you show?
I remember those words
In the back of my mind
There is an old phantom
It isn’t a secret this mind's shrouded in history
It isn’t a secret this mind spirals in disarray
It isn’t a secret this mind shatters in mystery
It isn’t a secret I find terror in memory
Come close

Feverish host to us, teary eyed

How come there's not a single comment about that murder ass snare?
.. and some people says the Aliens don't exist...
As a bass player, this bass tone is like a religion to me. Perfection.
Hugh Grant approves this comment
@@mellotron_scratch Lol
Dude same
for me too, and im not even a base player, lol i can hardly play guitar
As a drum player, this drum polyrhythmics are like a religion to me. Perfection.
As I got more and more into prog I slowly began to lose the feeling of emotion in music because i was so focused on the technicalities of the instruments being played until I heard this song. This song reintroduced the reason why I love music so much. I literally feel this shit deep inside my rib cage. Such a beautifully written song.
Love this band for the amount of feels they have in their music. Just a suggestions for ya though in case you don't already listen to him...check out Devin Townsend's discography. Ear and brain candy at the same time. I was running into a rut with prog until I discovered his music a while ago.
couldn't have said it better myself, a little late on the reply but all the same just an awesome band
@@calebhohneke8482 Devin's a god in my opinion i got the chance to see both tesseract and devin for his addicted tour in San Diego and what an awesome show
Sounds like Your Lie in April lol
Maybe you used to listen to wrong prog...
Have no words to describe how much this album has helped me and continues to do so.
Same here. It changed my life this summer. Can't stop listening to it now.
For me was Nocturne.. But "same" ;)
By the way: does someone knows who write, create the lyric of their songs..?
I think Daniel and Acle , sometimes Aidan O'Brien puts his ideas on the lyrics ...
We Are The Empty fucking same dude . This helped me through depressing times and drug addiction heavy

Thank you 💚
Thank you☺💜
I live and breathe again and and when i die imma haunt you
This is an unbelievably powerful music video for this song; I was speechless. Hexes is one of my favorite songs of Polaris and you did a truly great job in capturing all the emotions it conveys. The song itself is already so emotional, beautiful and strong that you
just want to scream and cry at the same time. TesseracT, you really
nailed it with that music video. You couldn't have done it better, I just love it! Thanks for the experience!
could not have said it better myself
Same
hey, you're the fucking album bro!
Hexes i havent got goosebumps from any music for quite a while
and then there comes Tesseract... this breakdown
You are even called Hexes... How come you call the song 'one of your favorite songs' and not 'the favorite'?
Never leave Tesseract again Dan, please.
Ash was better
@@nicksquires7034 Nah, not really. Ashe has talent, for sure, but Dan is undoubtedly one of the best vocalists of all time and he carries far more power and emotion.
Sorry to jump in but I agree with Jacob, Ashe has a great voice but Dan is just right for TesseracT.
not gonna lie they both had bangers... but Dan.... I mean it's Dan yall!
Dan is also the better songwriter in terms of melodies really.
This part... so epic:
It isn’t a secret this mind's shrouded in history
It isn’t a secret this mind spirals in disarray
It isn’t a secret this mind shatters in mystery
It isn’t a secret I find terror in memory
Shudders, not shatters
@@Artoriun It's definitely shatters.
Can't believe how OUTSTANDING this is... I'm ashamed to be stumbling upon this so late in the game!! Just WOW
Better late than never
Is there something I should know?
hasitleaked.com/2016/tesseract-errai/
But hasn't even fucking leaked yet
Oh well, doesn't matter. I pre-ordered for vinyl anyway
Of the colours that you show?
What are the fucking chances of finding you here. I'm Joe, I've played a few csgo scrims with you when you've joined our ts, and me and Callum bumped into you in the vip room at the previous insomnia. Nice music taste dude.
Wow, Utorak likes TesseracT! "If you can it right, you can do it good"
How I discovered this band:
1 - Spotify is on shuffle, plays Of Matter, telling myself "meh sounds like its gonna be some generic autopilot prog metal" and skip it.
2 - Spotify keeps suggesting the song to me and rhe same scenario happens about a hundred times.
3 - One day the song starts and I can't skip it (hands busy), after 1 min I'm like "Holy shit this is so good", listens the album about a hundred times.
i just read the youtube music description of via by volumes and it mentions via, the discovery by born of osiris, måsstaden by vildhjarta, and one by tesseract all being albums in 2011 that heavily contributed to the djent scene and i love via, the discovery, and måsstaden so i thought i may as we'll check out one.
3:16 : goosebumps activator
thats your body telling you its ready
Fuck yeah bro 😂
i guess you forgot about 4:23
The second the piano kicks in at 0:24 and the first line of the lyrics begins shortly after is tear duct activator, that opening line is out of this world.
Tears generator ...
OMG... just discovered this band by accident on Spotify. .. this is probably one of the most exciting and complex songs I've heard in years.. got goosebumps
Yes! One of them complex and exciting songs would be Jakub Zytecki - Satya's Diary
seeing them with gojira next week. can't wait!
William Robbins San Francisco? im gonna be there too, cant wait
saw them Saturday in Asheville. there are vids up. great show.
Just saw them in Salt Lake City, UT with Gojira. Great show.
Brock Van Komen I was also at the Gojira show. It was madness man.
THAT SNARE ACCENT STARTING AT 3:22 IS SO GOD DAMN EFFECTIVE!!!!!! Absolute musical masterpiece
Where's the love for Martin Grech?
Gus Richards waiting eagerly for his next album
Love for sure, Martin did an extraordinary performance in this song, has great albums and looking forward to more.
Amazing! Now just come to Brazil and play this damn song!!!! LOL!! :)Great job guys!!
Yes!! Come to Brazil!!
Brasileiro falando inglês com brasileiro wtf
Na real o Gabriel Morelli tá dirigindo a palavra pra banda, não pra mim, mas deixa pra lá, não quero discutir...
Tbm falo em inglês com meus amigos
YEAH! Brazilians chatting with Brazilians in English. HUEHUEHUEHUEHUEHUE
How the fuck does my brother not like this band?
Always high budget videos. Always impressive
It actually wasn't high budget at all! But it looks quite impressive!
2023 and I still have not found a band that envoks more emotion out me than TesseractT and SkyHarbor. Thier music will live in my soul forever. ❤️🔥
Thanks for the name drop. Im digging both of these bands.
Me too saw them live last year and it was incredible.
Imagine not putting Martin Grechs name anywhere for people to find -_-
@R4M_SEVEN S7V7N it's pretty disrespectful I feel. He's an incredible talent and hasn't had enough recognition or success to reflect that. A little boost here and there from friends goes along way!
Seriously fucking incredible.
Just barely has a million views; come on people, this deserves millions of views
The Mil)
First listening of this band. I'm digging it. Just added the albums to my iTunes subscription.
rustedshut nice man! Polaris is a masterpiece
suggest the band Dream On Dreamer.
It's hard to choose but I think this is my favorite Tesseract song.
There are so many good ones. I would maybe say nocturne or tourniquet. Calabi yau also has a special place in my heart
Everyone has said enough about the quality and brilliance of this song but I will advise everyone to play this in its natural sequence after Dystopia... The combination makes this song even more powerful.
OKAY so Spotify just wrapped up 2019 for me. My #1 go-to band of the year was Tesseract, My #1 go-to SONG was Hexes.
THANK YOU GUYS FOR ALL THE MAGIC YOU PRODUCE.
I couldn't breathe for 5 minutes ... Thanks Tesseract I almost died.
It's unbelievable
Youre music blows me away. I have been listening from the beggnining. Please dont ever stop making music.
HISTORY HEXES USSSSSSS
This is magical. These guys are over the top. So emotionnal, so classy, so raw .... Urgh so much talent going on here to handle !!!!
This is one unique song
Someone in 2019? 👌😎
No body
Tu mama
Yup. And I'll be here in 2020 too
And also in 2020 in the south american tour
But of course!
4:24 that scream with those two is utter eargasm.
They came up on Spotify a few months ago and they are awesome! I have been bored with music for about 5 years. Other than Megadeth and Killswitch Engage, I just haven't been excited about music. The Music Industry has thrown Hard Rock/Metal to the wayside and it is sad. They seems to only care about what is "it" for the second like Taylor Swift, Katie Perry, and other worthless music. If music like this stays underground that so be it!
This sounds like Peter Gabriel meets djent. But i like it.
1:12 and in my mind there is and old fatso...
I know it's supposed to be old phantom but still... cannot be unheard
On a scale from 10 to 10, how good is this?
Blond Panda 11
💯
8... there are parts of it that are flat but incredible nonetheless. Very good stuff.
It's a 10 all day. This album is infectious. It seems like a mainstream effort at first. A couple weeks go by and you crave that one breakdown. Then that one verse. Then it's over you love it just as much as one.
More people should know about this band.
Any other "the contortionist" fans interested in this band? I havent gave them a listen till now and its pretty damn good!
They are both amazing, but Language is just the best album that was ever written imo. It's the pure love of the universe.
This must have been interesting to film
There's a behind the scenes video I think. Check it out. Saw it a coupla months ago
I need help, can't stop press repeat button
If those scissors hadn't been rusting in the draw, they would have been able to cut through the strings and balls.
Zac Meagher I see what you did there
I like this song so much... until the rapping starts and it just feels like Linkin Park.
Can I ask what a good scale is to work with for this style? I'm getting into this time technical type stuff like you guys and tool but I can't write like this to save my life. Maybe a good scale to practice off of would help.
Minor scales work well, but also add a sharp in there to give it the edgy feel. Experiment with pentatonic scales also but at the end of the day, play what sounds good to you! That's most important, if other people like it, then that's a bonus. 🤟🏻Rock on.
This song is awesome but why Martin Grech isn't credited here?
How the hell these amazing artists still have
:3
Planet Geisha approved!
:)
3:15 Pure bliss. This track was the first one on Polaris that really stood out to me. It is still my favourite from the album.
Riff at 2:35 Hit me hard!
Great collaboration with my favourite Martin Grech!
Martin Grech with TesseracT what more could you want

Agreed to the second power!
STOP!!!
beautiful concept! felt involved like in a sci fi time trap with emotion and intensity. great job! tesseract never fails to amaze and inspire:) kudos to the whole team
It took me too long to realise the title is an allude to curses, not to hexagons.
Shit.
I love any song that keeps you waiting until halfway through to reveal itself. That's what makes music worth listening to
If you guys don't know who the guest singer is on this song, his name is Martin Grech. PLEASE listen to his music. It's amazingly beautiful.
But why does this song have to be so good and hit all the feels?
Polaris is unparalleled to any album I've heard in a long time, listening to it is like watching a movie but with your ears.
Masterpiece.
4:20 ALWAYS GETS ME. GODDAMN
Same bro! Same! Blaze it am I right??
Amazing
It isn't a secret this mind spirals in disarray...
Bloody hell, this song is fucking fantastic
Mind bending nuclear blow! An awesome re-interpretation of 2001 space odyssey.
That was truly beautiful... The concept of the video (and of the whole Polaris album) is so good it would deserve a shortfilm !
I feel like my heart is being ripped out of my chest (in a good way) when I listen to this...Love this album.
This is one of the best videos i've ever seen, this band is fucking perfect, fuck
why didn't they play this in Portals :(
I'm really bad at discerning meanings from songs, can anyone help me out with what this one is about? i know it feels powerful and that it is one of my favourite songs by Tesseract
Tesseract you guys are epic as fuck
Danisbackeract
You guys are legendary. For now I can only dream of being able to be a part of such a band one day. COME TO BRAZIL
The "It isn’t a secret" refrain with it's 4x repeated (1+)4+4+4+2 beat is brilliant of course. Those lyrics make it even better as almost no one understands it at first, until they see the lyrics and then... "Ooooh, yeah!".
Тот идеал аранжировки, которого я хочу добиться. Шедевральный трек.
Omg dan is back!
Time to go and watch Nascent - the only other video on this RUclips account :P
Saludos desde Perú, soy uno de los pocos que sabe de música.
Who needs porn if there is music like this?
better than saw
It isn't a secret this band is perfection
This is the second song I've listened to from this band, and I feel like it's a perfect mix of Tool and Rush. This is quite nice.
Martin Grech voice is something for another world.
Thor: Loki, give me the Tesseract NOW!
