I have a 13 pro and as for me, I can't see any significant difference in night photo quality. It's just that the 14 pro seems to make photos that are a bit brighter. Additionally, it seems to me that 14 pro’s photos are less warm and more blueish.
The pictures look sharper and brighter on iphone 14 pro max. But the difference is not very large compared to 13. If I had a 13 I wouldn't care about upgrading. In my case I pre-ordered 14 pro and I'm upgrading from 6s. The difference will be like night and day.

With the new updates they're trying to downgrade the old ones especially when it comes to processor speed and image quality so that people would think it's starting to degrade and upgrade their current iPhone with the new ones available release by Apple.

Yes, 48MP RAW photos sounds great...but the RAW shots I get now is still perfectly fine for me. I do see some difference in a few of your shots, nothing mind blowing that I have to upgrade.
yes, because normal pictures and videos are only shot with 12MP but with enhanced lighting und the use of the 48MP to give a little more AI generated detail into the picture. to use the full capacity of the camera you need to switch to RAW mode, this is where you can use the full 48MP

A larger sensor size generally creates a more accurate photo, but in this case the sensor size increase just isn't that much in the grand scheme of things e.g. A 50% increase of 10¢ is 15¢, but it's still a very small amount of money overall and in this case doesn't make a big difference.
I see some improvements on the 14Pro Max that gives often more brighter shots. So generally the 14Pro has the better camera system. But is it worth enough to upgrade. I don't think so and stay with my 13 Pro Max. I think next year will be more interesting when the S23 Ultra and 15 Pro Max will be released. Thx for your comparison. Good job.

Apart from the pixel and sharper image which looks really good in 14PM I think when you were talking about darker areas in 13PM I think we can edit the picture by increasing the exposure and brilliance highlights from the gallery app

every year we iphone users always say the same thing, there are few differences in photos, they give few new functions and it is too expensive but in the end a new model of iphones is a new node and in the end we are going to enjoy what it has a lot or little, surely something will surprise us and make us happy.
Here is why the differences are minimal. Yes the pro max is pixel binning to shoot at 48mp but that image is processed down to the exact same 12mp that the 13 pro max is producing. The 14 is pulling in more light but the images aren’t like leaps better than the 13 now when the 15 comes this will be the iPhone to get.
True but next gen phones aren't upgrade worthy usually coz in 1 year the technology leap isn't much so 14 pro max users won't find much of a difference in 15 unless they add periscopic lens but again only that zoom lens will be something different otherwise main camera output will be more or less similar to 14

No, it's a trap. Look at the shadows. 48MP = 4x smaller pixels. Yes image is sharper, but you lose in dynamic range etc. Daylight is "OK. (even though here shadows are horrible), but in darker situations 2X will be unusable. Don't even try to take a moving subject. At night, it will be unusable.

If you are outside the US and Canada and already owning an iphone 13 pro or the max.....I don't any reason why u should upgrade cos the it seems the SOS feature doesn't work outside the US and Canada. Besides the 48mp is a sham since it pixel bins to 12mp. That's why there aren't almost no difference between them. The dynamic island is not reason enough to upgrade. The A15 bionic is juz as fast as the A16. It will handle day to day use with ease. Always on display have been on Android phones for awhile now and not many people use it anyways. Emergency SOS has been around for awhile on different apps and accident alert apps like that on the pixel have also been around and it's not that useful in our daily lives. Many companies have made these apps for free anyway. So far as your phone has a gyroscope ,it can detect a change in gravitational shift or pull or a fall, and there are apps that use that to detect accidents in real life which are free. In conclusion,I think apple haven't given enough reasons why people should upgrade. That's why the iphone 14 series haven't really haven't sold like how most iphones sold in the past at launch
I think more people need to work on their photo and video editing skills over the gear they have, I’m not convinced to upgrade my 13 pro max at this time, maybe some software upgrades could help, but I’m holding out. Thanks for this video.

I have selected the Vibrant and High saturation setting and the pictures look just as vibrant, if not more and with the clarity on my iPhone 14 Max pro.

Same here! I have 12 Pro and I was 99% decided to switch to 14 Pro based on rumors of improvements of the photo quality before they actually announced the 14s. Now, I don't know. Hopefully somebody will do a same comparison between 12s and 14s but right know it looks like I'll wait one more year.. 12s are still excellent phones.

The most impressive thing is the transfer speed of the lightning port of the iPhone 14! It's awesome, technology from 2012 totally obsolete in a phone from. With a couple of balls Apple!!
Lightning is USB-C 2.0 which funny enough is the same speed as the Flip4 yet I never see Apple haters trolling Flip reviews complaining about the Flip low speeds.

Thanks for the Video. I’m just about to go overseas and I currently I have a iPhone 13 Pro Max and thinking about ordering the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Your comparisons a quite a revelation, however the I think the Better Video, night mode, selfie camera and the fact that you can capture 48 MegaPixel RAW files, is tempting, especially when Apple is offering me in Australia around $1100 AUD on Trade in for my 512GB iPhone 13 Pro Max, which means a new iPhone 14 Pro Max 512GB comes down from $2419 AUD to $1319 AUD, which is where I’m think is it worth it? Also bar the camera considerations, you do have better screen usage with “dynamic island” plus other upgrades like A16, Satellite Messaging, brighter screen and Bluetooth 5 for better audio. You’re also stuck with lighting Port haha. Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this?
it honestly all depends on if you're willing on spending the money, I have the 13 pro max and i dont think ill be upgrading for a long time as its an extremely nice phone, the only main difference with the 14 pro is the dynamic island. (I dont exactly like the style of it)
Looks like they are just adjusting post-processing differently in the algorithm for how the pictures are processed. 14 pro max is just more bluish and it looks like they are crushing the blacks. I wouldn't say it's more detailed and call what see on the 13 pro max more noise. It just looks like they are adjusting the black point. If anything some of the shots look less detailed to me on the 14 pro max. The crushing of the blacks could fool your average consumer but if you were to adjust the black point of the 14 pro max I bet that "noise" would look the same.
lol they said every camera is 2x better in lowlight but its not really. it is better but not 2x better like they mentioned if you have a 13 pro max better skip this one.
I think they said 2X more light, but it is a logarithmic relationship, so 2X more light does not equate to 2X better, sadly. The night shots were better, with less lens flare and more detail and less noise. Certainly no game-changer, but it brings it to the top of the pack, at least until the Pixel 7 Pro arrives.

The 14 pro has lower contrast setting and thats why it looks brighter, but the pictures from the 13pro are more vivid and eye pleasing

The differences are absolutely MINIMAL. I expected much more.

Not really, 14 pro looks much better. Better shadow detail, details in general, sharpness, contrast, colors, subject focus etc.

If you want brighter photos you can simply increase brightness by editing or using filters.

The difference is not significant enough for Ip13pm users. Hopefully Ip15 with better processing can improve more

The most impressive thing is the transfer speed of the lightning port of the iPhone 14! It's awesome, technology from 2012 totally obsolete in a phone from. With a couple of balls Apple!!
Lightning is USB-C 2.0 which funny enough is the same speed as the Flip4 yet I never see Apple haters trolling Flip reviews complaining about the Flip low speeds.

I’m just about to go overseas and I currently I have a iPhone 13 Pro Max and thinking about ordering the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Your comparisons a quite a revelation, however the I think the Better Video, night mode, selfie camera and the fact that you can capture 48 MegaPixel RAW files, is tempting, especially when Apple is offering me in Australia around $1100 AUD on Trade in for my 512GB iPhone 13 Pro Max, which means a new iPhone 14 Pro Max 512GB comes down from $2419 AUD to $1319 AUD, which is where I’m think is it worth it?
Also bar the camera considerations, you do have better screen usage with “dynamic island” plus other upgrades like A16, Satellite Messaging, brighter screen and Bluetooth 5 for better audio. You’re also stuck with lighting Port haha.
Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this?
it honestly all depends on if you're willing on spending the money, I have the 13 pro max and i dont think ill be upgrading for a long time as its an extremely nice phone, the only main difference with the 14 pro is the dynamic island. (I dont exactly like the style of it)
There’s no reason to upgrade every year even if your budget allows it. The sweet spot is getting the newest pro model every two years.
48MP RAW is a trap. You will get 4x smaller pixels. Quality will be lower than iPhone 13 Pro Max if you use 48MP mode.

Tbh a person wont be able to tell a difference in real world...You may have all the upgraded specs but that huge noticeable difference isnt there.

Looks like they are just adjusting post-processing differently in the algorithm for how the pictures are processed. 14 pro max is just more bluish and it looks like they are crushing the blacks. I wouldn't say it's more detailed and call what see on the 13 pro max more noise. It just looks like they are adjusting the black point. If anything some of the shots look less detailed to me on the 14 pro max. The crushing of the blacks could fool your average consumer but if you were to adjust the black point of the 14 pro max I bet that "noise" would look the same.

lol they said every camera is 2x better in lowlight but its not really. it is better but not 2x better like they mentioned if you have a 13 pro max better skip this one.
I think they said 2X more light, but it is a logarithmic relationship, so 2X more light does not equate to 2X better, sadly. The night shots were better, with less lens flare and more detail and less noise. Certainly no game-changer, but it brings it to the top of the pack, at least until the Pixel 7 Pro arrives.
@@andyH_England uhm not really, they said 2x better in lowlight photography yet i saw only subtle changes at night shots. honestly i was expecting more it was a bit disappointing, but the 15 pro max might surprise us it might use a bigger sensor and deliver the 2x better in lowlight.

The eyes are mostly brighter and looking better on 13 pro max 4:20 , so i prefer 13 pro max.
