I guess in the advertising scene of the chair flying through the air is what a lot of Boeing pilots can relate too. " ATC I have an issue, I've lost a few parts to the plane! "
Great review Kelso! I can confirm everything here also, as I have this same setup. Definitely took forever to put it all together but I have absolutely no complaints about the rig now that it's done
Another good solution I rarely hear mentioned is Simfab’s cockpit. Also modular and pretty affordable. I have thoroughly enjoyed mine as a VR only right.
I have owned this for about 12 months. What sold me on it was the cut-out for the centre stick as I had major ergonomic issues trying to get it right with an office chair. The Rig is exceptional I have no complaints. it offers excellent versatility for setting up all manner of hardware. It took a Week to set up the way I wanted it, be prepared for that. The seat itself, is Very Uncomfortable and creeks loudly when moving around in the seat. While I do not regret purchasing it, I was disappointed with how uncomfortable the seat is during long missions. Customers that are older, or have back issues should consider this before purchasing, be prepared to add cushions and different lumbar supports to what is included. It also has a huge, HUGE! footprint which Kelso mentioned. My cat thinks its great though.
Thank you for the comment Kasmiller, I have done one long mission in the chair, but for me, it is more comfortable than my office chair. I suffer from back issues from time to time. Cheers to your cat. 😸
@hephaestion12 no it'll be gpt 9 for the 9 year old who will be using it to control his own personal flight of autonomous drone wingmen all at the same time while flying his own jet from his DCS cockpit his dad built for himself but didn't have the time to use due to keeping a full time family alive, but at least his son is seasoned in the art of aerial destruction from a young age 😁
I have the standard edition of the Flight Seat Pro. I had only one real issue with the product. While putting on the casters during construction of the base, I found a sloppy weld at the front right corner of the rig. This caused the square washer to not fit flush. I foolishly decided to use two round washers instead, later discovering that those square washers aren't for spacing but rather support. My caster bent under my weight. I backtracked, put on the intended washer while tying to straighten the caster. I additionally added the two spare casters a few inches away for more support. I do like the rig, it has made simming much more convenient since I can roll this thing out of the way when I need to use my desk for other things.
Very nice Setup! And this helps very much for my decision to buy it. But i dont have the space at the moment :( But what is about an "2024 Grim Reapers Gaming RIG Setup Video"? Cap and GR Team anything in planed?
Nothing planned atm. For additional room, you may want to consider what a friend is doing. He's commandeering his son's room because it has more room than his gaming room. He has a similar kit on the way. 💪 😂
I have a NLR racing sim rig, similar construction to this, and it really hasnt lasted well. Luckily the forces in flight sims are probably a bit lower but just be careful with any adjustment threads on the rig as they strip super easily and the metal likes to bend.
Is there a way to attach a center stick mount to the seat itself, so people of different heights can use it with a simple seat adjustment? It looks like the center stick mount is attached to the frame under the chair, so adjusting the chair will move the seat towards\away from the stick. This is dumb.
I have limited space in my gaming room so I just bought the seat and made a custom pedal mount for it sinc I dont have the paneks and it slides into my custom built desk almost perfectly, this chair is amazing and super modular. My only HUGE gripe I have is I wanted the Boeing Green but 4 months ago the green only came on their other chair but now its on this one I'm hugely disappointed I had to settle for black at the time. other than that, a full Winwing HOTAS and pedals fit and work wonderfully.
How did you mount your rudder pedals? Was going to get the other Boeing Edition with the rudder plate, but that one looks like the stick will be too high (have Orion2). This one has great low mount option for stick…but unsure how to integrate Orion2 pedals. Don’t want to get the flight stand since I’m 100% VR…
5:03 - The seat is much more "comfortable" or "uncomfortable" than your office chair? I'm sorry, it's not quite clear to me. Great review - I'm looking into these now. Thanks Kelso
This is hardly a review, honestly. No showcase of different configurations. You just liked it. Not sure that is an “honest review “. Barely it’s a honest opinion, but review is probably a different thing.
I have done 1 3hr session and it was more comfortable on my boney butt than my office chair. I suffer from back issues from time to time and I felt fine.
Yes they can. And that's when the harness system is required. I flew the same kit with their motion system in Las Vegas at the FlightSimExpo. Lots of fun.
Well the reason between the two is the Flight pro is an Updated version of the seat and it offer More possibility of configuration of your Hotas and things plus with both combined it is supported with their moving platform . I have the Flight Pro and I truly recommend it over the first version does not take 2 days to assemble lol BUT a long afternoon and yes instructions are the best !

My question which I've struggled to find an answer for: how adaptable is the center stick mount for a relatively long extension? I have the longest Virpil extension (20cm) mounted to a Virpil Mongoose grip and base, and am about to get a VP Force Rhino - I need a lot of 'vertical' space, and it seems the lowest center mounting point on the seat/chassis cannot actually mount a stick base low enough? Anybody managed to get a 'tall' center mounted joystick in there?
Shrike, I've just measured the lowest point you can affix a center stick. It is 4" above the floor on the cross-plate, immediately in front of the seat. The top-front of the seat is 18 1/2" above the floor. You should be able to do the math using those two measurements. The seat is on a rail system, and you can move the seat back and forth, similar to a car.
They are until you upgrade to any of their motion kits. I flew their motion kit at FlightSimExpo in Las Vegas last month....the straps are definitely needed in that configuration.
hey there, been searching for ANYTHING related to my issue... i see your Base attached in the center position, but how? it seems the existing screws and existing threaded holes in Base are inadequate for the rigors of a joystick. what am i missing? the screw heads are also near slipping thru both Base Plate as well as Mouse Plate holes. do i need to add washers? steel seems jinky.

Does the Boeing edition have its own fire extinguisher?
No, but never, ever....pull the ejection handle without cutting a breakaway ceiling-roof port.....

Mark my words, the warfighter of tomorrow is 12 years old and already has almost 3,000 hours behind the stick
So basically Ender's Game
Nope its probably gpt 8!

Don't mind me. I'm just here for the jokes ragging on the wisdom of calling something a "Boeing Edition".
Well it doesn't have doors...so it's pretty realistic 👍🏻
@@tonyf9076…no landing gear either, which checks out ✅

Yes, some of the additional mounts I did not install, includes a seat attached stick mount, that folds down so you can wing your leg over it.
Awesome Thank you for Sharing 💯✴

Is the seat comfortable for a 4 hour gaming session?
I have done 1 3hr session and it was more comfortable on my boney butt than my office chair. I suffer from back issues from time to time and I felt fine.
If they don't use the tagline "Hey, at least there are no doors to come off" They are leaving money on the table.
btw theres mototion platforms you can attach to this if you have the money
Yes they can. And that's when the harness system is required. I flew the same kit with their motion system in Las Vegas at the FlightSimExpo. Lots of fun.

Boeing edition - so what falls off?
Me, if I mix whiskey and DCS in the evening.
So... Boeing edition. Randomly falls apart? Randomly blows a door off?

Boeing?? Was it assembled by DEI hires? Will it violently disassemble in use like Boeing aircraft??
Not for nothing, but just seeing it called, "Boeing Edition," is kind of begging for a certain type of comment...
