4:35 few performers can open up a mosh pit in near silence and without a single word. Suzuka Nakamoto does it every so often with this move ever since she's 14. Talk about PRESENCE!!!
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。The crowd involvement (circle pit, call & response, chant etc.) occurs wherever they go on this planet. This anthemic song was played in their almost every show (either in their headline or in huge festival) The audience reaction is always similar to it in this video. (Actually, I jumped into a circle pit for the first time last year, at the age of 67 🤣. That was fun ) In your video, Su shouted some words at 11:44 meaning "Bring them on!". Fans analyzed that the provocative shout was thrown at people who had been ignoring, underrating, mocking, hating and even trying to discredit BABYMETAL. That shout may have been necessary in 2015 but not any longer. She has shouted it occasionally since then and when she does, it is with her friendly smile and matured mild voice that I love 😄
Keep in mind this was the final song in a 90 minute set of high energy and fast songs. The fact that the ladies and the band can continue such high levels of skill and energy at that point is amazing and says a lot about their professionalism and love of entertaining.
@@screeny30all the more impressive tbh. i listen to babymetal literally daily she’s one of my fav singers of all time. there’s just something about her voice
Great reaction.🦊🤘 This video was from January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena. Su-metal was 17, Yuimetal and Moametal only 15 and that was over 20,000 people completely under their control. Even at that age Su just looks at the crowd, spreads her arms and the crowd opens up for a wall of death (actually several walls of death at that concert as the crowd were in sections. As I said in the chat, a journalist up in the balcony that night said he counted, I think it was, 21 mosh pits). This was also the end of a 90 minute concert - they had been keeping that same energy up without any drop in quality for the whole time. It is what they do - they appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them, they never give anything less than 100% for every song at every concert, whether that is one of their big arena concerts in Japan or at the many various sized venues as they tour the world. About the song itself - 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow. As you already found, any similarities to DragonForce were not coincidental - Herman Li and Sam Totman provided guitar arrangements and played on the studio recording for the album. They even played this song with BABYMETAL at an awards show in London in 2015.
Yea there's a ton of great Japanese metal bands that have been on the rise lately, but Babymetal's got a special place in my fandom for being the first to introduce me to that style and still one of the best in my books.
I agree - and it's astonishing, that Babymetal isn't strictly speaking a "band" but an entertainment project of AMUSE Inc. with two groups of participants. . .
The singer's performance often reminds me of Rob Halford in the mid-80s. Stage presences, crowd controls, the dance-like moves, and of course, incredible voices.
This performance was at Legend 2015 - The New Year Fox Festival in January 2015 at Saitama Super Arena in front of 20,000 fans. At the time Su-metal was 17, and Yuimetal and Moametal were 15. It's a massive performance for such young performers to be undertaking and they did it with style as always.
5:34 _Now Pizza time (Pizza time!)_ 🦊🤘🍕 Welcome back to the Foxhole. Nice to see you're back with this suggestion to follow your BM journey, just like here it was the ender for almost every show at the World Tour 2023/2024 and everyone loved to have fun with this one such last month at the Europe Tour and prior to that at Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas, they did a fun interview about it and you can see they were excited with Slipknot returns, another band BM producer loves) they were very supportive during early era or Metal Resistance chapter, also they played at San Francisco as part of the Babyklok Tour along with Dethklok and DragonForce were there playing too, another supportive band since BM beginning career and also involved in the album version of this song as well some live collabs together around those years. "Road Of Resistance" is a power/speed metal song, it's one of their most epic anthems and the album version got the guitar arrangements made by Sam Totman and Herman Li from DragonForce. It's all about facing your own path without looking back. This was part of the Trilogy Of 2015, live at New Year Fox Festival - Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, by this time their fame was already high due to viral success on YT of Gimme Chocolate! MV, people from all over the world attended this live concert in Japan, and 20K souls witnessed this epic moment. With only 15 and 17 years old this moment will be forever remember when they're performing this song to reminds them all the support they got from their fans no matter where they go, either a small or big stages. The East Kami Band here are magnificent set of elite musicians, they were sent to help the girls with the metal sound, they rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (especially the guitarists). They are: - Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording some albums. - Takayoshi Ohmura, god of guitar, he's Míkio' Fujioka's pupil (another beloved Kami Band guitarist who sadly passed away) and a prodigy child, you'll see his recognizable pink guitar. - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but his fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP. - Hideki Aoyama, god of drums, comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father was very famous in Japanese music scene. At the end of their shows they always said "We are BabyMetal!" with the crowd, to make them sure that they're part of this show and project too, is a line borrowed from X-Japan saying it at live concerts too. Btw you pick the right and best version to enjoy this song for the first time, don't care about what anyone says in the comments. This was after they did the live premiere in the UK, there's a proshot clip but it's usually not so safe to react, this one is the right choice, you can watch newer live versions of course. Next suggestion: - Ijime, Dame, Zettai live at Sonisphere Festival 2014. They will be at Knotfest Brazil, Argentina and Chile for the first time in South America, as well Peru with a headlining show, they will come back to the US for another tour and also Mexico will be part of that tour but this time as special guests for Slipknot, we can't wait for it. Hope to see you around with more BM songs. See you next time 🦊🤘🔥
One super adorable thing about Babymetal shows is they call it the moshu-shu, because when they first started they didn't know what a mosh pit was and mispronounced it 😊 The moshu-shu is always a gentle and friendly place, no one gets hurt and everyone looks after each other.
@@autohmae Last year, I tried to go the the Blue Ridge Festival, (VA) but my two daughters pleaded me not to go stating that moss pits there can be dangerous. (I was then 75 years old) So, I told them that I was twirling a towel and running around in the circle pit @ Makuhari (Japan) earlier that year, and both immediately said,"Dad, those pits in Japan are lame... don't you dare jump into one elsewhere." 😩
@@htusda1 A US show is different than Japan, but the gap isn't that large. But a non-Babymetal crowd mixed in with other crowds probably makes a bigger difference (like with co-headline or festival). Those people can have different intend/mindset.
An absolutely fantastic performance. I bet I've watched the video or reaction videos to this performance over 50 times and I still get chills, it never gets old. I became a diehard BabyMetal fan after watching this for the first time. Great insightful reaction. New subscriber
@@HeadbangersGuild omg! That’s amazing! You might look down on my craziest pit story but I’m just being honest. Been to hundreds and hundreds of shows since I was very young. I never got scared in the pit. I’ve been bullied (only by men) but never scared. A surprisingly tough pit was Hank 3 the last time he toured in 2014. I went to six of his shows on that tour and a few of them got pretty wild! I think Johnson City TN was the one that was the craziest but it was kind of the way the venue was set up. (My pit choices are so weird lol. It’s not Lamb of god or something, it’s Marilyn Manson and Hank III, lol.)
@@HeadbangersGuild I’m also talking too much but I did festival security for several years so I’ve been unintentionally involved in pits of bands I wasn’t even there to see and I still stand by Marilyn Manson 1994 pit being the craziest. The line up was Korn, Marilyn Manson and Danzig headlining. It was October 14th in Columbus Ohio. I still wonder what dude accidentally kicked me in my eye lol. I don’t think he ever knew he did. I was fine.h
Great reaction, thanks! They divided the Metal Resistance general lore into eras (or episodes). Episode III is for 2015. Metal Resistance ended (dramatically) on April 1st 2023 right before Momometal was promoted as am official member. Now they are in the Metalverse era. 🤘🦊
The name BABYMETAL is also the name of a subgenre, meaning a newly created genre. BABYMETAL's dance represents the meaning of words and situations through dance. The concert is over an hour long, so it is wonderful to see them accomplish this with perfect synchronization of dance without showing any signs of fatigue. Most of BABYMETAL's fans are middle-aged, around 50s. These are the guys who listened to metal when they were young. In recent years, the number of young people (teenagers) and female fans has been increasing. Next, I want you to see "Ijime, Dame, Zettai", which became known as the "Miracle of Sonisphere" among fans. It all started when one of the members of Metallica discovered BABYMETAL and recommended them to Sonisphere. The detailed history is a long story, so please look it up.
BabyMetal has a storyline thru all their albums, some story arcs continued, and some dead ended. Japanese love to put a story behind everything thus their 1000's of Anime per year. The Girls are metal warriors sent from Heavan by the Fox God to bring metal to the people, notice their costumes are part armor. The Girls are trained and ready for battle, they are leading the charge with their flags. In battle the flags are rally points for the warriors. And then they end so cute with the "See You". BabyMetal has like 60ish songs and I just love 50ish of them, the other10+ish are good but meh, so expect to give lots of praise. Not many bands hit 80%+ epically good, I am usually happy if a band hits 50% good..
That was a great reaction. I love it when a reactor-you here-really gets and appreciates just what is going on. In this video Su (lead vocals) and Moa&Yui her wing gals were respectively 17 and 15,15. I can't imagine being that age and controlling a crowd of 20,000 and keeping track of the complex choreography. Singing, stage position etc. and looking so at ease and in their element while doing it. This performance always blows my mind. Oh FYI: I think you might have been reading about the studio version of RoR. Herman Li and Sam Totman did do the guitar arrangements and play the guitar parts on the studio release. The guitarists here were Takayoshi Ohmura (stage right) and I believe Leda Cynus (stage left). Though Dragonforce did play this live once with Babymetal. And does Babymetal have any lore? I'd say watch the video "A Not So Extensive Guide to Babymetal" it's a start and actually really fun: ruclips.net/video/aIb2xEthdSg/видео.html
BABYMETAL will always be my first love when it comes to metal because they're my first metal band, and they made me curious to open the door to that world.
Babymetal's live show is amazing, plus the fanbase is insane, not only in Japan, abroad too... they are always screaming, jumping, headbanging... we are THE ONE
I kind of not agree. The big arenas in Japan is the insane thing. The abroad concerts might be good, but nothing compared to the Japanese shows. The Japanese fans know the songs 100% by heart and follow every coreo there is. Japanese love to learn coreo perfect, seems to be an Asian thing.
Hell yeah man, ‘bout time you did this song! 😂 Herman and Sam only played the guitars for the studio recording of this song. Dragonforce also acted as Babymetal’s backing band on 2 special occasions: Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award Ceremony. Where Babymetal won break through artist of the year. And at Download UK 2015 as a guest on Dragonforce’s set. Original live debut was in end of 2014 in London O2 Academy Brixton. *Metal Resistance Lore:* Babymetal’s 10-year story arc that ended in 2021’s 10-year celebration concert (10 Babymetal Budokan). Babymetal are 3 metal spirits summoned by The Fox God, god of heavy metal to infiltrate the “big bad” Idol Industry in Japan to revitalize the dying heavy metal scene (back in 2010). To do this, they became Su-metal, Yuimetal, and Moametal, 3 “idols” who infiltrated the industry to fuse idol music and heavy metal. Afterwards, they continued their mission to spread heavy metal around the world. It’s confusing as hell but fun and entertaining 😂. 🤘🦊
The young Queen leads her troops along the road BABYMETAL has chosen for itself, despite resistance and even if it's not the easiest path. After victories and defeats, a decade later BABYMETAL is still following its chosen road.💪🦊We are BABYMETAL.
Hell yeah dude! Always great to welcome people to this community that's definitely #notacult. If you wish to also see how much and how gracefully they've grown I may also recommend you: Onedari Daisakusen (Legend M - 2021) The celebration of Moa Kikuchi's twentieth birthday. She doesn't sing often as she's mainly a dancer, but this is her voice in full display and as a fan her growth shines here, even though her dancing partner, Yui, is missed after she left, since they wrote and owned this one. She's also singing another one in this show but just you wait. Metali! - feat. Tom Morello But make sure you check the online version! BABYMETAL is already known for always outperform themselves compared to the studio version, but this one has a neat surprise from their newest member: Momo-Metal! Headbanger (Legend MM - 2024) And SPEAKING OF MOMO, as her twenthieth birthday is celebrated, Su-Metal, main singer you see here, lends her the microphone for a welcome takeover. Momoko Okazaki is universally loved through the community for the following: "Angel of Joy, Devil's vocals". My, oh my, this performance was my turning point deep into the Fox Hole and to this day my favorite take on this song, do with this info as you wish. BxMxC (literally any version, I can't choose) Suzuka reaches uncharted waters for Babymetal on this one, dropping bars like the Queen she is, nuff said! Monochrome (again, just pick any version, you'll love it either way, but for a full experience watch live) Finally! My absolute favorite BM song. Emotional, intense, melodic, brings tears to RUclips react channels all around the world. Honorable mention to RATATATA (with Electric Callboy) - The Official Clip; and Kingslayer (with Bring Me The Horizon) - Official Live Version
Nice reaction👊🏽⚡️Su-Metal is 17 here with Moametal and Yuimetal being 15. I was into hard rock and metal at that age, but I wasn’t fronting a metal band and commanding a crowd of 20,000.🦊🤘🏾
Dude, the Lore is Deep with Babymetal...and so much Fun!! Check out one of the Guides...they can be kinda long but fantastic info on the group and some explanation of how the Lore came about and the basics of it all. Thanks for the reaction and as always.... Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
I love these guys my father got me in to them............. I will admit it took me a while to get it but once I watched a full concert i was hooked. The band are epic. This was the last song of this concert and the energy is so intense. Everyone that has worked with them (like Rob fucking Halford) say that there work ethic and professionalism is second to none.
most handbangers only talk about guitars, drums, but BABYMETAL is the girls, not Kamiband, which is good, but the girls and the choreography are the essence of BABYMETAL
This version is just so incredibly well put together. I think what makes this stand out from all the others is actually the stage design. It is like if the stage was built for this song specifically, and knowing the Babymetal team and their attention to detail in planning for live shows, it quite possibly was.
that and how long they do the "ooh oh ooh" chant in this version, specially after they cut the music and all you hear is the crowd... it must be an amazing feeling for any artist to hear that many people chant your song for that long, gives me goosebumps
@@htusda1 Yes, the confidence and skill she shows as a front person in addition to her amazing vocals is an important part of what makes Babymetal such a great live band. Understanding that what the performance needs is for her to bring the crows back in time with the music and doing it in such a smooth way is impressive.
Oh no you opened the lore gates. The shortest video to explain things is probably over an hour long at least. Quickest of quick points, they are called by The Fox God to be the saviours of metal and spread the word. Su is sacrificed and becomes the metal Messiah and leads the people in a metal resistance, they eventually board the Metal Ark and fly off into space in search of planets to bring metal to (are you still with me). While out there they come across the Metal Galaxy and discover different planets containing different styles of metal (their latest album The Other One is a concept album that explores that.). Then they open a gate to the Metalverse and are replaced by dark reflections of themselves and then they fight them and come back our universe (or they are still in the other place...the last but is still ongoing). That's the quick version.
This performance in particular is what made me fall in love with Babymetal. Epic track, the sheer theatre of this, the massive energy that comes through the screen. This performance always gets me emotional, bringing tears to my eyes. Two live performances you MUST react to are, Ijame Damme Zettai from Sonisphere 2014 in the UK,which got them recognition on the global metal scene and Karate at the Download Festival 2016. Both of those performances always have me crying like a baby, due to the significance that they were getting ridiculed from a lot of metal elitists but they dug in and kept going and believing in themselves. Looking forward to further reactions of Babymetal and my current favourite band, Nemophila. Rock on dude.🤘
Please listen to some of their ‘newer’ songs (live ofc) like Divine Attack - Shingeki - and METAL KINGDOM It shows their musical development as artists, much different than their older music You can hear the difference / progression in their sound from songs like headbanger compared to METAL KINGDOM
Many BABYMETAL songs have great lyrics. If you have time, it may be good to glance through lyrics before listening. Road of Resistance is about how they will pursue their goals even with much opposition, and if there is no path, they will create their own. For the first three years, they were welcomed by the pop fans in Japan, but some heavy metal fans said they were a gimmick (Mayakashimono) and some threw pet bottles at them. They went to Sonisphere in 2014, and was shifted from a side stage to the main stage and performed for 30 minutes. Many were skeptical at first but by the third song, they had them. (You should check out their last song from that concert - Ijime Dame Zettai - Sonisphere 2014) = in Japan it is referred to as the "Miracle of Sonisphere" SO
Great reaction 🤘😁🤘 ... And now your next Japanese experience, might I strongly suggest, Band-maid ... Amazing lady doing amazing things.. expect the unexpected 🤘😁🤘
No the story was aimply the Uk Download festival saw them as a small hype, that they could ignore. After thiscdecission Dragon Force had a bigger stage crew. And when they began with their performance They first played " Give me Chocolate" . They had the Band and Girls of Babymetal on Stage. From this day on they always got an official invitation from Download. It is not their management that can determine a Hype. And this idea simply came up when they worked on Road of Resistance. And when they presented this song in the filled Wembley Arena in front of the Queen this wass their small Revenge to Download.
I'd very much like to watch you react to their very first song, Doki Doki Morning. Not their best but I still like it and it's how they presented themselves to the world of metla.
3 easter eggs in this video : 1) The sensation at the intro of the music is call "Its Pizza Time" 2) Pikachu 3) Out of the tune Guy. Welcome to the Fox Hole , See you 🤘🦊

Can you do From Dusk Until Dawn 2021 live? Thank you! Also Akatsuki unfinished live is my favorite ever. Can you please do that one too? Make sure you have tissues! =)
Nice reaction. Babymetal making friends with Dragon Force paid off in a big way with this song. It also paid off on stage as well. A long time ago it feels like Babymetal wasn't invited to a metal festival because the promoter felt they weren't metal. Dragon Force snuck them into their set. From what I have been told there was even a buzz from the crowd because they were spotted and folks started wonder what they were doing there. When they got on stage with Dragon Force. The crowd rushed into the tent they were playing in. They had to open the sides up for safety reasons. The next year Babymetal from over whelming demand was properly invited to perform there. Making Babymetal a Legendary band as well. Not even sure if another band has ever done that before they were famous. Now folks look for their name in festival line ups. They have earned the reputation of putting on a great show no matter the size of the crowd or venue. In all these years of performing they've never dialed it in or tanked a show. It was instilled in them at an early age. These folks paid good money to see you, don't mess it up. IMO it's this idea that has made Su-metal the perfectionist she is. It has served them well. I think it has rubbed off on Moa as well as she has improved, her dancing a lot over the years. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises.
Great reaction! Yes, "Road of Resistance" is a very special song, and all of its performances are phenomenal. This one is special, tho. Three quite young girls of 17, 15 and 15 years lead a real metal band, and command a crowd of about 22k people, like that´s the most normal thing in the world. Did you notice, how Su-Metal reeled the crowd back in on the track? That the giant circle pit STOPPED for the crowd chanting part? Not many bands out there, doing such things 😉 Like you, I really like the tone of the Kami Band East, they sounded beautiful. Classic metal sound. Takayoshi Ohmura and Leda Cygnus on the guitars were a perfect duo. Their harmonies were sounding so beautiful, too. BOH and Hideki Aoyama on the drums hold the whole piece together and are awesome. The official live video was cut, tho, the goodbye part lastet several minutes longer (and it was epic, too!). I totally lost count on how many times I watched this. I could watch this performance ´til the end of my life, and it never becomes boring 😄
You better be doing one of the BabyMetal Documentaries. You need to know about Sakura Gakuin, BabyMetal previous J-Pop band. Every member of BabyMetal was in Sakura Gakuin, most of the backup people are from Sakura Gakuin. Sakura Gakuin, Sakura Gakuin. Sakura Gakuin, that started it all when they formed a subgroup called the heavy music club. I will give you one guess what happened to the heavy music club. You only get one guess on who the members of the heavy music club were, just one guess, come on you can do it. LoL
The old ones are good, but in my opinion they have grown . My favorites are the newer ones, like Legend MM 20&21. The channel „for the fox god“ has many live tracks most with english subs. My favorites this concerts are Headbanger and Meta Taro. I don‘t know the avaibility on YT, I own the BluRays. There are come more and more from this concerts out.
I think your info might be wrong, or mine is. Dragonforce guitarists did colab on the someg and wrote all guitar parts, but I don't think they were on stage for this one, Since Babymetal and Dragonfroce would perform this song together for the first time ever at a festival.
Guitarist here are Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura of the East Kami band.. The Tokyo Dome Red Night version is good too. Especially when the other East Kami Guitarist Mikio Fujioka (d. 2017 RIP), was playing the Chant using Harmonics.. Unfortunately the East Kamis have not played for Babymetal since January 2023. They been using the West Kamis (American musicians) who are just not as good (Simps may disagree)

Kitsune Up ⬆⬆⬆🤘🤘🤘.... i suggesting for Catch Me If You Can with East Kami Band Intro Live at Budokan Black Night and Kagerou with West Kami Band Intro Live 2020...it my most fav songs and BabyMetal more better in Live performance... East Kami Band: Takayoshi Ohmura - guitar (2013) Leda Cygnus - guitar (2013) Fujioka Mikio † - guitar (2013 - 2018†) RIP BOH - bass (2013) Aoyama Hideki - drums (2013) West Kami Band: - Chris Kelly - guitar (2019) - CJ Masciantonio - guitar (2019) - Clint Tustin - bass (2019) - Anthony Barone - drums (2019)
It is completely ok to say top tier Japanese musicians, because the Japanese are the best musicians in the world. All the Kami Band members are amazing but Hideki (the drummer) is an absolute god.
I may get corrected, but I understand the original Road of resistance was about treading a new-metal pathway with so many detractors and those people that said it was not real metal. It was a song about the "one" (the fans) resisting all the criticism that they were not following a real metal band, just go their own path, just feel. In my case - I was brought up on deep purple, black sabbath, Nazareth, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, where the band could play (on time), and the vocalists could really sing rather than using Metal as an excuse for noise. Babymetal takes me back to original metal - just good music; just enjoy and ignore the critics.
Allow me to reiterate a suggestion I made on your "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" MV reaction video: when you pause, go back about five or ten seconds before resuming, that way you regain the flow of the song. You may or may not know that if you tap your keyboard space bar once it will pause the video, another tap will resume play. Also, if you tap the left arrow key once, it will rewind the video five seconds (a second tap for another five seconds), and tapping the right arrow key will advance the video five seconds. This may also help baffle the YT copyright police. Keep rockin’ BABYMETAL!!! We are . . . BABYMETAL!!! KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘 See you!
@@HeadbangersGuild It's just a guide. You should watch it some times. But it's usually best to wait until you've listened to at least a bunch of Babymetal songs.
Babymetal has all kinds of lore. Too much to talk about. It's not very interesting to talk about out of context. You just have to watch some concert DVDs.
Have you listened to any Band-Maid yet? They are 5 extremely talented girls from Japan who mix various genres of music. They call themselves a hard rock band but certainly delve into heavy metal. I would suggest that you check out some of their latest official live videos from Yokohama Arena. Dont You Tell Me and Hate are straight up bangers with guitar vs bass duels, and Endless Story is a tear jerker ballad. You will not be dissappointed by listening to one of the best live bands on the planet.

In your video, Su shouted some words at 11:44 meaning "Bring them on!".

Yep. There's BABYMETAL and then there are many other great bands.
I agree - and it's astonishing, that Babymetal isn't strictly speaking a "band" but an entertainment project of AMUSE Inc. with two groups of participants. . .
love hanabie different vibes but both 🔥
The singer's performance often reminds me of Rob Halford in the mid-80s. Stage presences, crowd controls, the dance-like moves, and of course, incredible voices.
Funny that you mention him because Babymetal performed Painkiller and Breaking The Law with Rob Halford at the APMAs in 2016.
@@General_Cartman_Lee Yeah I love the show, even though the audiences are almost dead!
5:34 _Now Pizza time (Pizza time!)_ 🦊🤘🍕
Welcome back to the Foxhole.
They are:
- Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording some albums.
Next suggestion:
- Ijime, Dame, Zettai live at Sonisphere Festival 2014.
See you next time 🦊🤘🔥
One super adorable thing about Babymetal shows is they call it the moshu-shu, because when they first started they didn't know what a mosh pit was and mispronounced it 😊
The moshu-shu is always a gentle and friendly place, no one gets hurt and everyone looks after each other.
euhh. pretty certain it was called mosh'sh pit, because it's a kind moshpit, you aren't supposed to try and hurt each other
@@autohmae Last year, I tried to go the the Blue Ridge Festival, (VA) but my two daughters pleaded me not to go stating that moss pits there can be dangerous. (I was then 75 years old)
So, I told them that I was twirling a towel and running around in the circle pit @ Makuhari (Japan) earlier that year, and both immediately said,"Dad, those pits in Japan are lame... don't you dare jump into one elsewhere." 😩
@@htusda1 A US show is different than Japan, but the gap isn't that large. But a non-Babymetal crowd mixed in with other crowds probably makes a bigger difference (like with co-headline or festival). Those people can have different intend/mindset.
Absolutely epic and beautiful performance from the legendary Babymetal! Enjoyed the reaction and commentary, thank you!
Please react to Babymetal: rondo of nightmare black night with mischiefs of metal gods intro.
An absolutely fantastic performance. I bet I've watched the video or reaction videos to this performance over 50 times and I still get chills, it never gets old. I became a diehard BabyMetal fan after watching this for the first time. Great insightful reaction. New subscriber
I’m almost 44 and I agree with you about the at least a decade or two since I’ve been at a concert with a circle pit.
Yeah it’s become very niche! What’s the best pit you’ve been to?
And I am also almost 44 :D
@@HeadbangersGuild shockingly very early Marilyn Manson. Like 1994 when they opened up for Danzig. I had just turned 14. I was kicked in the eye lol.
@@rolandkarlsson7072 You check out the Babymetal World Tour, maybe it's not as big as in Japan, but everyone is definitely enthusiastic
Hell yeah man, ‘bout time you did this song! 😂
Herman and Sam only played the guitars for the studio recording of this song. Dragonforce also acted as Babymetal’s backing band on 2 special occasions:
Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award Ceremony. Where Babymetal won break through artist of the year. And at Download UK 2015 as a guest on Dragonforce’s set.
Original live debut was in end of 2014 in London O2 Academy Brixton.
*Metal Resistance Lore:*
Babymetal’s 10-year story arc that ended in 2021’s 10-year celebration concert (10 Babymetal Budokan).

She doesn't sing often as she's mainly a dancer, but this is her voice in full display and as a fan her growth shines here, even though her dancing partner, Yui, is missed after she left, since they wrote and owned this one. She's also singing another one in this show but just you wait.

These girls can work a crowd like Bruce Dickinson. This would've been such a great performance to be in the crowd for.
Easiest way to learn a portion of the lore is to get the graphic novel Apocrypha: The Legend of Babymetal
most handbangers only talk about guitars, drums, but BABYMETAL is the girls, not Kamiband, which is good, but the girls and the choreography are the essence of BABYMETAL
Disagree, friend. Kami band is legit and deserves more coverage. The ladies are charismatic and talented. But clearly they all love what they do
This version is just so incredibly well put together. I think what makes this stand out from all the others is actually the stage design. It is like if the stage was built for this song specifically, and knowing the Babymetal team and their attention to detail in planning for live shows, it quite possibly was.
I am realising the more I look and listen the more I discover how incredible they are
that and how long they do the "ooh oh ooh" chant in this version, specially after they cut the music and all you hear is the crowd... it must be an amazing feeling for any artist to hear that many people chant your song for that long, gives me goosebumps
@@kadriblabali Yes, and the way SU brought the crowd back to the correct time is amazing.
@@htusda1 Yes, the confidence and skill she shows as a front person in addition to her amazing vocals is an important part of what makes Babymetal such a great live band. Understanding that what the performance needs is for her to bring the crows back in time with the music and doing it in such a smooth way is impressive.
Maximum the hormone is HIGHLY worth checking out. They inspired many of the new wave of awesome Japanese metal groups.
Still less confusing than Neon Genesis Evangelion imo 😂
@@claremiller9979 maybe...but then they introduced Metalverse as a whole separate spinoff group and I had to bust out a new roll of red string lol.
Please, make more Reactions to BABYMETAL, every song is a lot DIFFERENT and UNIQUE

We look forward to future Reacts.
Please listen to some of their ‘newer’ songs (live ofc) like Divine Attack - Shingeki - and METAL KINGDOM
It shows their musical development as artists, much different than their older music
You can hear the difference / progression in their sound from songs like headbanger compared to METAL KINGDOM
Go full throttle and watch Babymetal - Tales of the Destinies (Tokyo Dome Live 2016) Eng Subs next. It's a wild ride.
Yeah headbanger is my fav...I really like papaya and other's but it's apples and oranges everyone has a fav...
they have a performance and dance for every song I respect it. and the band is good no lame sheet. W
Great reaction! Next up Babymetal death legend 1997
Or Ijime Dame Zettai live at sonisphere 2014 official 🔥🦊🔥
(You should check out their last song from that concert - Ijime Dame Zettai - Sonisphere 2014) = in Japan it is referred to as the "Miracle of Sonisphere"
SO
Welcome back!🤘🦊♪
Great reaction 🤘😁🤘 ... And now your next Japanese experience, might I strongly suggest, Band-maid ... Amazing lady doing amazing things.. expect the unexpected 🤘😁🤘

Welcome brother
Good idea to hear the first one

LoL

Saw them live and they are every bit as gooad this video implies. Lots of bands could learn alot about showmanship.

Babymetal takes me back to original metal - just good music; just enjoy and ignore the critics.

lmao i thought you were also reacting to their song "headbanger" back to back then i noticed your channel is also called Headbanger.

If you haven't gotten to Ningen Isu yet, take a look ❤ More japanese metal ti add to the list.

Now you are ready to do Babymetal Death ha ha ha...
Nice. Love BM. But you still have to open Pandora's Box and meet the goddess valkyrie 😂. Nightwish" Ghost Love Score" Wacken live 2013 ❤ and the dices will fall... Nightwish, Epica, Sabaton, Ayreon, Blind Guardian, Apocalyptica, Wintersun etc. 😅😅😅
"The UnExtensive Guide to Babymetal" is the most current guide video, but doesn't go into much depth on the lore. The "Everything you need to know about Babymetal (Updated)" by Cryptic Misery guide only goes through 2021and therefore out-dated, but provides a bit more detail on the lore. Both are worth checking out
I was fooled into thinking it was Pia Arena's version. ☹️
