Thank you!!!! In tears here. I've worked travelled, proven myself to the world but nothing is as beautiful and fulfilling to as what the Lord has called me to do; A homeschooling homemaker 😊. I praise God for beauty that lies in His way of living.

My Husband and I are going on year 2 of being married with a 9 month old and since day 1 we knew that we would honor our creation roles and God has truly seen our hearts and provided my Husband to be the Provider and I am at home With my Daughter while I also teach online esl classes when she is asleep. It is grooming me teach her and our children to come. It has been tough before getting here. We struggled so much with me being at home but we stayed in our word and God has always provided and sustained us. Always food to eat, clothes on our backs and our daughter is so brilliant. Thank you for your tips I am taking notes.

"Her lamp does not go out at night," simply means that she has filled it with enough oil for the night so it won't burn out during the night. It was a woman's job to do that in the Bible times. I think it was in case she needed to go up during the night to comfort a crying child or something like that. So it doesn't mean that she was staying up late, she wouldn't have got much sleep if she did so since she also got up very early in the morning!
    Great video as always!!

Interesting thought. I always thought of that also 🤔 how does she get up so early if she’s staying up late? Lol. It seems like it’s going on the principle of her making sure everything in her home is running well, even preparing for the night.

I was a slave of my work, working 11 hours every day and every other Saturday, my husband also worked 11 hours and our marriage and family was falling apart. I was then lay off and I know that Gods hand was behind that and I am now a stay at home mom and we thank the lord for that. My husband and children love to come home to a clean organize home with supper ready but most of all that I have time and that I don’t have all that stress over my shoulder.

You are spot on with this video! Both of my parents worked full time when I was growing up, and I used to fake sick alllllll the time so that my mom would stay home with me. I missed her so much. Even when she got home she was exhausted and not able to really engage with me the way I needed. I worked for my daughter’s first year and it was all I could do to come home and just let her play around me while I rested. God began calling my heart home and it was terrifying. I listened though and it ended up being the biggest blessing ever. My children are happy, my husband is happy, and I am so unbelievably fulfilled following this high calling from the Lord! If anyone is on the fence or scared of taking the plunge, DO IT! I promise that following God’s leading in this area will not steer you wrong. It is such a blessing to be able to take care of your home and family, and also have time to help take care of others who are in need. ❤️

No one took care of her family and home like my mom. BUT! I honestly wish my mom spent more time with us. She was always there but was ALWAYS working. I just wanted her to come in the pool with us or sit and play for just a few minutes. I think there needs to be a balance. Kids want quality time with their moms. I honestly always felt that the house work was more important to my mom than spending time with us.

Wow! That's a wake up call for me. I sometimes find myself doing this. Thank you for sharing and I sorry for what you missed out on. Sometimes there's just too much and we dont know how to balance things. The fear of "what did you do the whole day?!" Gets to us and so we work hard to try to prove to our husbands or friends what we did. ❤

I have been a believer for almost 9 years now and being the Titus 2 wife is something I have struggled with for these past 9 years. I have always desired to be her and the proverbs 31 wife. In the last year I have put my heart into really searching it out in books and just not getting the right drive for it. I did a quick search this morning and the Father led me to you and the way you put it! So simple yet so heart felt that it just gave me a joy to serve! Thank you for this video! So encouraging Gods ways are perfect! I work 4 full days a week in a Christian mission in Scotland (this is the lords provision to me as my desire would be to stay at home but hubby not saved and wants me to work if I didn’t we wouldn’t afford the bills) but I am exhausted because I do all the housework, cooking, sports activities for my son, I’m literally running around all the time but get that rest at the weekends when I can, sometimes I just call to the lord and say Lord I’m tired. But he helps me and gives me wisdom, I hope my son and hubby can rise up and call me blessed because although I fall short in Many areas I put all my energy into trying to keep everything in tip top ways. Thanks so much for blessing me! The Lord is surely using you. X

Thanks for sharing! I do believe we need to understand what God calls us to do through Christ when we are born again by faith. In learning of Jesus, we can be thankful to know that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. God called me to help people and honor them. That came with helping parents and teachers in helping to teach their children/students. I think I enjoy catching a vision with another person, enjoying the work and fruit that comes with it when the Lord is with us.

So grateful I get to stay home and be with my kids everyday. I can’t even begin to imagine not being there physically or emotionally for my husband and children daily. But I realize for some financially it’s not doable to be home and my heart goes out to the women that want so badly to be home but just can’t afford to do it. I’m loving this series!

I love what you say and you had a massive impact on me two years ago when I stopped working all together I did take your words quite literal. However I’ve always been home I just looked after working mother’s children alongside mine. Now mine are at school I manage the home and children. I know your passionate about homeschooling and I get that but I sometimes do feel guilty when you say things like we should be with our children all day and night! I still do feel I am doing a good job even if I don’t home school and I am sure god is working in our schools as well as our homes xxx I will encourage my daughters to SAH and raise their babies.

Hi Alana! I know this comment might seem negative, but it really is not. I was reading today about women who have had ministries encouraging other women in being Godly wives, mothers, and homemakers, whose marriages have fallen apart. Specially, Lisa Tuerkhurst, Courtney from Women Living Well, and a woman who has a website called momastery who apparently claimed to be a Christian but divorced her husband and is now "married" to a woman. It got me thinking about how there is nothing that Satan wants more than to tear apart Christian families, but most especially when one or both of the spouses is in ministry and all the MORE when said m inistry is specifically about marriage and family. So I just wanted to say, after reading those articles, that I am praying for you, and praying protection for you and your family, and to just gaurd yourself and your marriage and your sweet kiddos from any ill effects that having this ministry could have on them. I'm not saying, of course, that those women's marriages fell apart because of their ministries, but it certainly did put a big target on them from the enemy. It grieves me to see women with influence for Jesus have their testimony disparaged and their lives scattered, so pleaase be on gaurd for this in the Lord as you graciously minister to and encourage us all. Blessings in Christ.

Thank you for this beautiful and timeless message for young ladies and future (or current) mothers and homemakers. The Bible outlines how to be a blessed homemaker, mother, and to raise our children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. But far too often, young ladies are not taught this and unfortunately have no idea it’s even in the scriptures! So thank you and bless you in your continued service. I also have a question: in your video, you mentioned the movie, Mom’s Day Out. I couldn’t find that movie anywhere, but I did happen to find one called Mom’s Night Out. Does that happen to be the name of the movie you were referring to? I was just wondering because I wanted to check it out. 😊 Thank you and may the Lord continue to bless you and your family. 🙏🏼❤️

Hey Alana! I am re-watching this series. This has blessed me so much. If you could please address couple struggling with infertility, does a woman still need to stay at home? My husband is infertile. We can never have kids. I want to stay at home. I am a medical doctor. My husband wants me to work (His reason might be that things are getting expensive, plus according to our culture he will need to take care of his both parents in old age) My husband has a good job. We both don't need to work. But I obey my husband. Be blessed!

I long to be the keeper of my home & a Proverbs 31 woman. My heart aches for it honestly. I pray God will make a way and give my husband eyes to see. Our situation is a little different because my husbabd has children from a previous marriage. However unfortunately that doesn't change what I feel called to do.

    • @DetectiveGirlyPop
      @DetectiveGirlyPop 6 лет назад +1

Ray Lily I agree. I also think the government tends to offer more help to a woman leaving her husband than a man who leaves his wife. I believe this creates a mentality that a woman can do better without her husband and father of her children. It makes me sad that the government seems so interested in breaking down the Godly structure of the family unit. Of course we are responsible for our own actions but there is definitely a agenda to make men obsolete or to have a woman/wife/mother burning her candles at boh ends. Its sad.

Have you ever thought about becoming a certified Biblical Counselor(not Christian Counselor)? You and your husband should look into it. I think even if you don’t use it in a Counseling center, it would be so helpful to you, your family, and others. It has helped me a lot. I stay home and have the privilege to enjoy that training as well that has helped in growing me both at home and as a counselor for other women and children. I look up to other counselors like Martha Peace who now have the time to do things like write books and counsel at a location that is deemed a counseling center but shows us that it helps even in the changing seasons of our lives because we rest in God’s word. His word is truth. Thanks for your encouragement. I appreciate you a lot.

One thing I would add is that because we do have so many modern conveniences, we have more freedom to do things outside the home than 2000 years ago when I'm sure women worked hard day and night. I worked part-time off and on when my children were at home and it gave me an opportunity to socialize with adults, supplement our income whether to help with necessities or educational trips, and my husband often said he enjoyed hearing about my day because I could add more to the conversation than discussing the children and housework. I personally could not stay busy enough at home to justify not contributing in some other way, whether working or visiting the sick or elderly of my church, etc. I think the difference is that you home school so it's difficult to leave, but most moms have a window from 8-3 that is more than enough time to take care of the home and family while also contributing in other ways. Priscilla, Phoebe, Lydia and other women of Bible worked, and I don't believe that staying at home means being slothful, as you mentioned. I believe you use your time wisely, but women who stay home with children in school or sloppily homeschool, cook convenience foods and spend little of their time caring for anything but themselves are not what God expects. I admire you for focusing on your children but we have so many conveniences that make our job as homemakers very easy and leave those of us with no kids at home very able to work and be productive outside of the house.

I have a weird and different situation. We just had our first born son 6 months ago and my husband says he wants to be the stay at home dad and home school our children and have me work since I make a lot more money than him. I knew this before we got pregnant and it made sense to me so I had no problem with it, but now that I have been at home with my baby for the past 6 months, it made me realize how much I don't want to go back to work and how badly I desire to stay home and raise my little boy. But my husband is not okay with this, and he is making sure that I go back to work. I have to go back to work because he doesn't make enough to support us and he won't try to find ways to provide extra. I know I must be in the minority in this situation, and I don't know what to do.

I will be praying for you. I pray your Husband understand that his son will grow up to do as he does. And if that is allow mommy to not be the nurturers but the provider and Daddy doing what mommy is meant to do he will not get to truly see our creation roles so he will he more susceptible to the world's role for him. God despises a man that does not provide for his home. See my Husband and I struggled so much in the beginning but he was determined to make sure I stayed home. And I found work at home to help out financially. If we are believers we have to love all things that God created and that is Man and Woman and our roles.

If this scripture literally meant that women ought to stay home then it would also assume that all women should be married which is not the case. I think you are taking this scripture out of context. The older women does not necessarily referred to them that are aged but to them that are sober.

      JesusLovesMe2 It doesn’t.
She is a “worker at home”: Until the Industrial Revolution, EVERYBODY - both men and women - toiled together at home; the idea of leaving the house to go to a job in a factory or other location is a recent phenomenon. The verse should be understood that the Prov. 31 woman should be busy working while at home, not sitting idly.

Why are you tripping over yourself to try to convince women who are already bombarded by lies everywhere everyday that intentionally disobeying God and rebelling against their very reason for existence isn't sin? Sure, in rare cases women are forced into the workforce jn the west through no fault or choice of their own. However, the vast majority that are out there pretending to be men, wasting their lives at a job while their children are raised by others, who's homes are in disorder and who do not live in subjection to their husband's as their helpers are absolutely, positively sinning. You know this, be strong, stand on God's word and be brave

    • @AlanaL3

Sinning? No. Not living in the ideal way God let’s put for them in scripture? Yes.
